Nah, sorry. Celestial takes ages to get, is super-expensive and makes you “meh” at everything and good at nothing. I’d rather go full Soldiers; I’d hit harder and survive longer than with Celestial. Also, Rune of Strength is super-expensive and might get nerfed at some point. I like Rune of the Pack; it fits my trait-setup very well I think.

Eh. As someone said exo celestial is cheap. You’ll survive longer then in celestial with soldier? Nope (healing power – ele has best scaling from all classes). Hit harder? Maybe a little (no crit dmg), but still condi dmg makes celstial much better. I got 600 – 800 dmg burn procs. With burning speed hitting from 3,5k to 6k crits, can oneshot thief with one combo. Just try celestial before denying it (I tested other gear as well).

Thanks for the replies. So as I thought about it. I’ll try out more that 2/0/6/0/6 build, videos looks nice, pain is low vitality, but going with the gear is sacrificing dmg. I’ll try something like this (tried before, but maybe not enough).

Stealthless builds are only working with fast fight or with other person to roam, so the shadow arts is obligatory (for condi migitation). Going 6 in acro takes much dmg from build, but makes it more evasive, critical strikes – pure offense, trickery makes nice balance between (and poison is too good when dealing with high regen targets). Rune of the pack synegies with thrill of crime making perma fury and swiftness uptime. I will think about taking pistol/dagger in offset, but i just like shortbow for utility/escape mechanism. If that wont work i’ll eventually become that cheese p/d just to learn how to cloak’n dagger well (or get back to my “destroyeverything” ele).
Hello thieves. I wanted to go back to the thief (which was my main) after patch, since dagger/pistol is not the “only way”. Other thing that i dont like condies, so pistol/dagger is not something for me (too cheese and easy to play). Always was fascinated by sword/dagger builds, seen them quite a few lastly, but after trying myself, those builds have many flaws. Firstly to deal with this condispam meta you need to go into shadow arts and this stealth skill isn’t as much rewarding as others. Tried to go seizer stealthless, but every condi bunker could kill me (other thing in pvp i can do much with this build, not that i’m a pro) and every 1vsx fight ended same. I’m maining dd ele and can do 1000x more, taking camps included. Tried many builds, but every one misses something.
Can someone give me advise of a build, tell the limitations, or s/d spec is just weaker then others? Used 2/0/6/0/6, 0/2/6/6/0, 0/6/6/2/0 and 2/0/0/6/6 builds, every is just mediocore and has it’s weakness.

Downed state wasn’t added to push some important PvE class balance agenda. It’s part of what makes GW2’s combat approachable to the giant mass of people playing MMOs, despite it’s rather twitchy and personal-skill-focused combat. For a casual player, dodging and interrupting and reflecting might not be their forte, but they can rezz each other so they just need to stick together. Hey, MMO mechanics! :P
Plus on a class-balance level, rezzing is universal. It reduces class imbalances by virtue of everyone (except Warriors, ofc \sigh\) rezzing the same more or less. Considering how often people complain about the classes not being homogenized enough, rezzing works towards a more samey experience independent of class.
Yea you have right points, but still it eliminates build diversity, they did add new monk rune and trait to heal, but noone will do it (maybe in wvw). As you said it is rather self – centered skillset, but can be made supportive. Why not? As you pointed it better to take banner and ress up to 4 ppl from your party instantly with half hp, while you CAN’T heal someone in downed state, my water fields soo good, mace guards so useful.
Whithout ressing noone would be sticking in the corner waiting for boss hit and dpsing like a boss – oh he oneshot me, res 2 sec, ok dps further. I mean it looks so terrible, it is so dumb mechanic, that I don’t play pve at all – just wvw and pvp. When i’ll bring my soloeverythingroaming build which i was perfecting half year roaming in wvw, bosses won’t kill me, but they’ll throw mud at me – where iz yor fullzerk huh? No dps? Lol nab not using strangth runes, kick him. In other mmo’s there were no downed state – it worked. Just few skills/bosses need to be adjusted. I know that mmo shouldn’t be so hard, but abusing such a brainless mechanic is just bad. I’ve seen threads about adjusting enemy AI, without removing downed mechanic, but noone will change neither of them, so this discussion is pretty much pointless.
Just look at lastly adjustment of runes/sigils – few are more powerful, few are nerfed to the ground and rest is useless (3/4 of runes). Sigils are in better position, but still. New traits? Useless. All is done without second of thinking about classes mechanic, how to make build diversity etc.

I mean that this game doesn’t have holy trinity, because of downed state. Healers are bad, because they do no dps and ressing is better healing. Also tank builds are bad, because you are not doing dmg that way, better to go downed and be ressed in 2 sec, or cast an aegis etc. Every aspect in this game (in pve) is promoting zerker. You can’t die with good team cause of ressing. Simmilar thing is for wvw zerg fights – why there are only hammertrains? Because of ressing – distance weapon can kill, but someone will ress this person immidetly, which can’t do when stunned for 2 sec and being hit by dozens of warriors/guards in face. While roaming – best proffesion is thief, why? Because he has stalth and can stalthstomp – he can fight 1 vs x, what i cant do as efficently with other classes. Pvp is ressfight – stun those who are ressing and be invul not to be interrupted while stomping. Downed state is the biggest issue in this game imo (destroyes build/tactic diversity), and should be removed.
I’m using this spec, but bolt to the heart is bad, zephyr boon is much stronger.
Guys… Please look at the ele’s fire grab before you make topic like that – it has 45 sec cooldown, it is so terrible to hit with it, that target should be immobilised and to hit harder he must be burning… Oh did i mention it makes less dmg then eviscerate? Just lol (use your f1 immobilise).

Delate downed state – cures every problem (almost).
Delate downed state, then it will be healers. Ressisng is best way of heal in this game (in terms of pve)…
so with basic 1900 power better is bloodlust or air? And what about Sigil of Fire AoE Blast.
Made more math. With my build sigil of bloodlust gives me 15,5% more dmg with basic 1611 power vs 2500 armor (with my build, crits makes no difference), and considering 15 stacks of might 11% more dmg. Air has 1,1 dmg coefficient, so it would deal 836 (920 dmg if traited for 10% more dmg) (avarege) with 1900 base power vs 2,5k armor (with 15 stacks of might 1067, traited 1174). For example difference between burning speed would be 418 dmg considering crit (with 25 stacks of bloodlust and without). To sum – sigil of air is better only if you consider cooldown and will make bursts in 3 sec cooldown (best for thieves), in every other way bloodlust is better. About sigil of fire it has little lower coefficient (1,0) and longer cooldown (5 sec), so i wouldn’t reccomend it. Personally I dont like stacking and enemies with high sustain/defence are worst for me, so I use sigil of doom.
Lastly tasted abit. With fury it comes to 1,66 activation of sigil per 10 sec, without fury it is like 1,165 per 10 sec using lightning whip (every half second – hit). With mathematical point of view, consiering hit every second (i dont know the mediocore hit/sec of ele in duel) it would be one hit every 7 sec with fury and one hit every 9 sec without, considering having around 33% base crit chance. Knowing timers can make sigil more efficient using burst/fire breath etc every 3 sec. Taking sigil of doom into consideration – it deals about 864 dmg every 9 sec with my build (600 condi dmg), with around 11 stacks of might (about 1000 condi dmg) it deals about 1104 dmg every 9 sec (but depends when you change attunement). Sigil of air deals around 1000 dmg (with my build), so i took sigil of doom because of utility – someone said that someone can negate the dmg from it cleansing condition, but he wont cleanse for example burn (with single condition cleansing condi removal).
The fact still remains that if there was a bug interfering with the Gem Store, you could rest assured that it’d be fixed within 24 hours.
WvW has been largely neglected since launch. I mean, the only key updates we’ve gotten were EotM, which is a beautiful map that unfortunately became a karma train camping ground, and account-bound World Experience, which ANet held off intentionally to add to their amazing Feature Patch.
To put it simply, they literally had one job for this whole season: distributing rewards once the matches came to a close. It’s disappointing to see that they can’t even do that correctly or in a timely manner. I understand that unforeseen problems pop up during implementation, but, to put if frankly, that’s a pretty lame excuse when this is the only update that had to be pushed out for WvW over the duration of Season 2 and even going as far back as the arrival of the Feature Patch
I already said it earlier, but maybe if WvW actually got periodic updates, I would be a lot more empathetic towards ANet and wouldn’t really mind that the rewards were delayed; in all honesty, it’s just a skin that doesn’t really amount to anything. But, since this is really the only thing that WvW-focused players have had to look forward to all season, I really just can’t wrap my head around what ANet’s so-called WvW Team has been doing this whole time.
I would say that main problem with this are ppl who changed server, before/middle/after season 2 of wvw. Now there must be tracking programe which has the history data of each account, or just take a note which server you were, on the beginning of season. So my guess is that it is complicated in way to know what prize player won, not if he won (because it should work as any living world reward). As for me this matter is also dissapointing (skins on daggers are ugly for my ele, need mistforged ;d), but flaming on working people, who gives us alot of expansions without subscribsion/limitation is just not fair. Just be patient.

The only problem I have with chill is that Ice Shard Stab causes 10 seconds of it.

Ehhh I guess he didn’t read. Celestial armor alomg with weapons csn be make as an exotic version, which is now very cheap. It gives you ideal hybrid stats and for about sigils use battle like every ele xd. Doom is nice in duels. About traits I agree, too little defence out there. For the rune if you dont want to pay for strength I would consider rune of fire – hybrid rune, can give you fire aura which works with traits. I would also reccomend trying standard build, then changing (for me evasive arcana, ele attunement and heal in water are too good). 6 in water isn’t obligatory, 3 is enough, arcana imo too good not to take 6 with dd. With that in mind you could try 0/2/2/4/6 putting traits on auras (fire aura from rune gives you then protection, fury and swiftness, along with burn when hit/might and burning duration for more condi pressure). If you dont like/need evasive or elemental attunement you dan go for tht diamond skin.
So if it is like that I would stand with battle since it gives additional comdi dmg and I dont like stack to begin with. Other thing stacking sigil as a secondary one – would it be better then air or doom? I think not.
I discovered that it is possible to stack up on land, go into water (having that sigil on underwater weapon too) and then you can swap the land weapon and have all stacks.
Really nice. Now I need to try fresh air burst build on thieves ^^.
I looked foward for this topic. Personally was using doom, but changed to air for more dps. I would say doom is nice in duels etc, but in larger fights this poison gets on random guy caught in aoe. Air gives you dps soo much needed in unbalanced fights. For other sigils I wanted to try hydromancy, but after using initial combo rtl+updraft+fire combo it wont hit after swapping atunement after updraft. Energy seems nice, but for me it is overkill – vigor is enough. Same thing with leeching – I dont need more sustain. So summing up – doom for duels/pvp, air for roaming/unbalanced fights.

Hard to argue with an ele when they spent months taking it up the kitten. I’ll let you rest up before presenting something rational. The pre-nerfed ele when they were gods didn’t just forget their training wheels. Many of them are either back or never left and know how much better they are now (still not like they used to be, thankfully) but, enjoy your vacation. Can only show you how thoughtless these builds are, can’t make you change your build though.

Have you ever played ele? You think it is easy class? And as for the build, I used celestial since it came out, mainly wvw roam, now pvping abit, cause erlier eles were nerfed to the ground. Now is like in wvw. You say thoughtless and even don’t know how they stack might, or how to use burning speed as evade and distance maker. See how Intigo plays. Better to play braindead necro condispam? Or mm, even power – so much skill. Maybe guardian? Unkillable standing doing nothing with passive defence. Maybe axe warriors with burst every 8 sec? Or maybe decap engi? Condi thief? You say hambow is the problem too, so who isn’t? Every class op nerf plax. Wanna know how to deal with eles (YES THERE IS COUNTERPLAY) – stunlock, hard condibursters, bursters. Ele is very vulnarable for bursts, he has his rotation, when you burst/condiburst him when he’s in water he’s dead… Just use brain, see which attunement he’s in. This class has worst base stats and highest cooldowns of all – just wait for initial stuns/firegrab etc. I have 4 characters on 80 and leveling another. Played them in pvp, and did well, even too well, cause of easiness of rest classes. Only thing thay changed in this class is evade on burning speed and one more blast finisher, thats all. Ah, if you play thief – then ele is just counter.
I’m maining ele and you get 20 stacks of might only when making every blast in fire field (to make it and deal dmg enemy must stand in middle of fire field like kitten), and it takes like 30 sec to get that much (some skills have 40 sec cooldown, so you wont regain it likely, and those stunning too). That is how ele works, he has low base power/condi and need to stack up. Nerf ele plax, my hambow too weak. Compare to it – base health 8k more, base armor 300 more, better cc (3 stuns with cooldown like 8 sec, immobilise and ele has 2 with cooldown 40 sec), better dmg, better healing signet, only worse mobility, he can get likely over 11 stacks of might. So much l2p issue. Other classes get might too, all classes run sigil of strength now.

Counterplay against signet of restoration is needed. Even if I get chill on them, it doesn’t last all that long and they just cycle 1-5. Its very pathetic. That signet should be changed to a bigger heal but when you proc a combo effect or something, because pressing 1-5 and swapping attunement is kitten. I don’t see them bursting anything, as much as just tiring you out because something is gana hit you.
Also idk their exact trait set up but having perma ~20 stacks of might effectively negating the need for heavy power investment is pretty kitten to me but I guess ele spent such a long time on that dirt nap I’ll let em be gods for a lil. Boon strip? Next rotation they get it back. Then the fresh air ele who could not be anymore obnoxious. “Ha, I’m smacking you for 10k, oh you come after me? I’ll just run away. I really should locate the attunement swap button”. Wish we all had fly swatters to get rid of these pests from pvp.

How about no stats gain in obligatory arcane (except boon duration influencing that might u cry about)? Now you see might ingame and op as hell? And if they get 20 stacks you mindlessly stand in middle of fire field and get all blast finishers on it and on your face. About restoration signet – have you ever seen warriors healing signet? Play thief if you want – easy way, boring as hell (was maining it but permastealth/blindspam cowardway got me away). For those who say sword/dagger permaevade – yes it is nice (tried it), hard to deal with it, but totally sucks in 1 vs x situations. Worst roamers – those with bad mobility, best with good ^^. Stealth just helps. Some say play class you want – sure, but you’ll die, alot (guardian, necro). After mobility you should consider what to do as roamer (solo). Kill players – thieves, mesmers, warriors, eles, engis, maybe ranger (haven’t seen any good – as a roamer). Take camps – eles, engies, warriors, rest classes do it in ages. Personally i run dd ele as the most fun to play class imo, with high skillcap, and in your face playstyle.

Hmm, really nice dmg. But as for this sigil of air, take into consideration that it cannot crit (hydromancy or force would be better i guess), but if you want to get highest damage, the sigil of the night is the way (10% more dmg during the night time).
PS. I hope anet doesnt see this, they can nerf ele by that XD
When you can consider condies beeing in a good spot (or op) in pvp, what about condi duration food in wvw? For me it is broken, why such a food even exist? They should remove it along with cond reduction food, which also is hard counter, broken.
Looks like standard cantrip build. You can also go for variation loke 2 in fire or 2 in earth, or 4 in air instead of 6 in water. As for the secondary sigil, i’m testing it myself. I would say what you can consider: air, doom(I’m using it now but idk if best, gives more single target pressure), leeching, generosity, fire, energy (for me overkill, cause u have perma vigor), blood, strengh etc. As I said I’m using variation with 2 in earth, so for cleanses I use eather renewal (for me this skill is better in wvw, then signet).
Go full zerk. Warrior is easy to play and have base insane defence. This class has that good synergy with axe/shield gs that is just terrible for me as an dd ele player. Recently seen many warriors with this setup. Can anyone share counterplay? Or there is no? Tried to kite, use soft/hard cc/ poison to cripple signet. To burst down is really hard with applied fortitiude, endure pain and shield block. Every class dies to that but warrior doesnt give a kitten .
But. Anyone seen my build? You give me tips while I dont go 6 in cs or I give none point in trickery or even I’m not talking about in combat speed, just wandering around and taking camps is easier when having passive movement speed. Also I told about SA 6 in build with sword. Builds like 2/0/0/6/6 are nice, but only in pvp or 1v1 situations. The core of roaming build is not always 1v1 situations, but taking camps and dealing with more opponents, where stealth is necessary. Right now im not using much thief, stick with ele with v good camp clear time 1vx situations and mobility. Also I dont like dagger mainhand for thief, cause its boring and skilless. Lastly seen 2/0/6/0/6 build and looked solid. Maybe I’ll try it out (for me that trickery is kinda bad with stat it gives, and too focused around acrobatics). Ps. I’m using 2 in fire for more might (with strengh runes) but whatever (instead of 4 in air), but it can be better to go for 2 in earth. I would say better to go full celestial (I know it’s priceful), have better stats (maybe abit less power). Going 2 in earth for extra dmg is kinda crappy if u wont take evasive arcana imo. Personally I would go only 4 in water if you are using hoelbark and cond reduction food, too much cleanse would be wasted. And for me I like to take mist for instead of arcane shield as an ‘okittenbutton’ when zerg comes in my face.
I was thinking about same synergy of resistance runes and signets but on scepter. Build looks really nice i’ll try it in pvp maybe. About blinding ashes @lordbyron i can see an usage in the build here – they hit u and get blind because of fire aura – so it is not as random. Also the signet burns single target so it can proc it too.
Btw i found out that aura from rune of fire works as ele aura with traits (if someone doesnt have the gold for strengh runes can give it a try).
And whad do you think about this s/d build for wvw roaming? I put the traveler for the landspeed and playing with stealth (because in wvw stealthless builds are somewhat crappy).
And noone of you even mentioned Air#3 , which is imho a much bigger problem than updraft or RTL….
The change to Lyssa also was freaking big nerf in Thief vs D/D or D/F matchup.

Try to use 2/6/0/0/6 and SB, you can’t beat it with melee builds. But even then you will have too low toughness and hp, so it will not be easy. Yesterday we have some 1v1 pvp with d/d elem in wvw. I lost 2 fights (tried both condi p/d and classical d/p). But ranger and riffle warrior in their turn won all fights.
So you need to be tough and have strong range damage. It’s not about thief. Just accept it. A bit more patches and you won’t be able to beat just anyone.
Nope. Funny to read that as an ele player (also thief). Rangers and warriors (distance) are the easiest enemies for me. If you kill ele with shortbow as the thief, you know he was afking (crappy dmg, i can heal up way more). Ele got so many gap closers, that distance fight wont be as effective. Listen to guys who got both classes – like op said only way is to play p/d or s/d. If ele is playing with ether renewal you need to be traited to couter this when u play as an p/d thief (to interrupt, because with that heal im taking off 8 condis every 15 sec), when not just condispam to death. When i face dd thief he dies. When i face d/p thief he can only hide in stealth and run away (because of blind spam he wont die ;/). I switched class from thief to ele because of that – it is very predictable what thief will do, more it is boring as hell. When i learned how to play with ele i never wanted to go back to d/x thief, which can kill mostly only noobs. For now only the p/d thief is dangerous, ew s/d but this build isnt so much used (i would appriciate for build sharing for s/d roaming thief relying on stealth).
P.S. If someone really want to kill good ele with dagger mainhand, then watch really well on attunements – when he is air – don’t attack – i’ve killed so many thieves baiting them to make backstab on me and turn around in last second putting the shocking aura on myself, then updraft, combo – dead. Also u have to use stunbreaker when firstly cced – this combo kills thieves, but hard cc on ele got very long cooldown.

I put 2 in fire for extra mightstacks and power, but those 2 points u can put wherever u want (earth for stone splitters, water for cleanesing wave, or air for extra lightning hit). Also often using another dagger with bloodlust and swap after getting stacks (u wont lose it cause u got sigil on trident also – thats trick ;p). With that im mind you really have enough power ^^. As for food i also like tough/prec, or cheaper mango pie if i just roam randomly. Also you could try use siglet of restoration, but i find it to low with cond cleanse, and switching one cantrip for puriging flames would make it (or maybe that 30 in water), but i find that i dont really need that signet and those cantrips are unswitchable for me.
@paleeshi – I’m not a scepter player, but idk how would be working celestial with scepter build without evasive arcana/water investment – u dont make use off the healing power. With that u got quite nice armor, but not as good sustain and one condicleanse which can be easely interrupted (that is con of this skill ;/). Maybe diamond skin would make a trick, but i wouldnt risk making build without arcane or water investment.

You kidding right? Fixing making op as hell? That’s true, that is very low build diversity, but just remake traits in other lines and it should be ok (to hard to do it for them, making useless gm traits this patch).
That’s why it’s ruining my game… Why when i play as an condi thief, having realy nice defence and acces to stealth and condiremoval can kill some guy in few sec? I’m using only one stat to do that, being able to go full bunker and still burst down opponent? Crazy, unbalanced, can’t be countered by stats. This game is constantly going to a point – be condi bunker or zerg bunker.
Just please… They buffed it giving 3 sec more protection and u still whine about it being a master trait? It is fine as it is.
I’m running full celestial still and comparing to pre patch i would say it is simmilar or even i do more dmg cause of strengh runes (talking about wvw). The only loss is the overall boon durations, but stat buffs on celestial partially make it. Anyone who sais that it was nerfed to the ground (firstly i thought that too). Celestial has not enough power to begin with, thats why crit dmg doesnt scale as much. With the strengh runes it is even more powerful (i know that many classes uses that now), also now i can use sigil of doom. All that making celsetial very viable (for me even more then pre patch, i’m dealing more dmg, but hybrid) – more power from strength – more direct dmg, more might (and new blast finisher) – more dirct dmg, more condi dmg, sigil of doom – more condi dmg and utility.

I’m going to get straight to the point, sorry to be blunt but this is how I feel on this matter: Thief is too much meta. Me personally, I love the potential playstyle I can get with a dd burst set but the weapon set is so screwed up that’s pretty much not even an option for a build. I am bored with dp, I have played it a ton and won a ton of fights but the playstyle for me is just unenjoyable now. Don’t even get me started on condi thief, not even going to consider going that route. But enough about me, what do my fellow thief players feel like? Does dd need love? Do we need to be given better opportunities for build diversity? Is anyone else bored with the dp or pd meta? Is there a good dd spec I can run to fit my desired playstyle without having to spam death blossom or heartseeker?

I was maining the thief. I got bored (for me it is very boring class hiding in stealth, with ‘hit 3 buttoms to play’ mechanics). Really wanted to make an build using more skill etc (s/d, which is nice but not when fighting 1 vs x), but it is not as powerful as standard d/p or now p/d builds in wvw. Made new chars and found dd ele. No other proffesion gives as fun as that popping all buttoms and mashing ppls with blasts and explosions (maybe engie kiter is silimar, but not ‘in your face style’). My advice – when u got bored with a class, just switch it.

That build has a few problems, in my opinion. I’m not sure why you’d want to use carrion armor, that extra precision isn’t doing much for you. I get that you have sigil of earth, but you could probably replace it with a sigil of bursting and slot dire instead. You’ll get way more out of the 4.5k health than the 30% crit chance.
You’re also at 120% bleed duration, which is 20% overkill. You can drop the 20% bleed sigil and replace it with whatever you want. Probably the 10% condition sigil.
Krait runes are nice, but I’ve found perplexity and slight of hand to be infinitely more useful. Interrupting an important heal and slapping them with a ~14 second confusion is crazy. The Krait 6 piece is also extremely so-so, honestly. As P/D we already have good poison, bleed, and torment application. The 45 second cooldown is not worth it. The 45% bleed duration is the only saving grace, but I’m not sure it really pushes it above perplexity.
Uncatchable seems cool in theory, but doesn’t appear to provide too much in actual fights. Long reach, combined with a 21 second steal, seems way more useful, but I guess this one could be a toss up depending on the player.
This is all assuming you actually wanted to “go on and be OP”.
Ok, it’s not maximum op’ness. I made this build quickly 10 mins after patch, making it as cheap as possible (thats why
agony, earth, rabid etc. not dire) and worked for me well (i mean too well). I don’t like condi builds and with that in mind if you can make more powerful build it would be more broken. As for the runes, i would say perplexity overrated, cause bleed is your main condi and u want to make as much other condis to cover that as possible (on elite 2 diff condis, which u arent applying so much). Other thing i think that dire set is an overkill – i dont need more vitality as i have with applied fortitude and hillarious regen in stealth. Thought about sigil of torment + sigil of earth (sigil of bursting gives much less, around 100+ cond dmg compering to ~3 stacks of bleed and/or 1-2 stacks of torment). I myself got no dire set mixing rabid with carrion.

I started to run this build like 10 min after the patch ;p. For me works perfectly and even i would say too perfectly. More to say – IT IS OP AS HELL. Compering to other condition spammers / roamers. Engies – more about kiting nice dmg, nice aoe, sustain, but not many cleanses and stunbreakers (even none). Necros – just spam and kill or be killed cause of lack of active defence. Mesmers – very powerful, similar to thieves, BUT lack of mobility (out of combat), stealth, not as much condi cleanse and much clones counterd by thief. Ranger – kiter again, nice mobility, sustain, condi cleanse, but lack of dmg. Thief – very nice mobility – able to kite (immobile and torment spam) or play aggresive, very good sustain in stealth, stealth itself, very good condi cleanse. Usually i play as an dd ele (my main since v long), but playing as thief it feels just op (and not the dagger/x meta or sword/x meta). It should be nerfed, i killed 4 (not underleveled) ppl like nothing at all (using my healing spell only to get to stealth and make a combo). Don’t like anet making ppl suffer for skillful play because of condispam classes easy mode.
