Would just like to say FC did a great job defending Mendons the other day… took us 2 trys of tearing down the gate to push through and they fought hard and honestly almost broke our zerg which was larger than theirs. +respect

Sorrow’s Furnace is a great server for WvW and your presence in that timezone would fill the only gap in our WvW timespread. We have been scoring the highest point value and point spread in WvW for about two months, but unfortunatly are trapped in tier 8. If someone could cover the asian/oceanic timezone to keep ET’s large austrailian population from reclaiming everything while the US sleeps we would definately move from tier 8 and end up between tier 4 and tier 6. I think you would be a welcomed and valuable addition to Sorrow’s Furnace. Convo me in game Gorethorium if you would like to discuss our server in depth.

try EU Guilds problem is 9AM EST is 7AM for me i play during the day normally 10AMish till 6PMish but that’s noon till 8 to you

Great fights in ETBL about an hour ago as they defended their tower untill supply ran dry, trebbing our trebs and lasting as long as they could. Much respect and well played.

I’d rather work harder and earn the move up than being handed it, and i also believe ET and FC has much more honor than to just move us up to get it over with. We are honestly pushing in SF to move up but we don’t want a free ride either keep up the GFs.

I would root for kitten’s before I ever rooted for SF. I have seen more BM behavior from them than I have ever seen from any other group ever. (and I’m an XBox Live user.) Sadly, it’s become my expectation of them. I’d wager there are a few diamonds in the rough but I’ll be darned if I’ve run across them.

I love the matchup between FC and ET because it’s such a nailbiter. It seems to be a very even match. I would love to see a third server that was equally as populated and tenacious as we two. Sometimes, I feel as if they are a kindred spirit, I guess to the extent a “red” could be considered a kindred spirit.

I’ve never seen anyone from SF acting out of line vs opponents in fact once we had ET outnumbered so we started dancing with them and beckoned them to come stand with us and dance on my orders not to attack and just hang out… Personally i haven’t noticed anyone from kesshin doing anything unsportsmanlike to opponents and i would call them out for being poor sports if i did… we know our situation and we just want to move up honestly.

Must say i prefer fighting ET i have no bad blood between any of the worlds, but FC never puts together more than 5-10 guys it seems and i can have a good battle with ET. They put up a good fight and i respect them for it.

Just transfered down to this tier… Lets Get it On! must say though other than right now in EB where there was a decent fight i’m not finding much fight from anyone, i’m on SF

My post on the subject… i can rep guild most of the time as i’m usually pvping i enjoy occasional pve with some friends from my realm read my post and let me know

I’m currently looking for a tPvP/sPvP focused team to play for and become more skilled and better at map strategy.

I currently reside on Gate of Madness, and was previously on Crystal Desert. I am looking to stay on these servers as i can cross server chat in guild and access sPvP/tPvP from any server. It’s also not an issue to use guesting for events/meeting in HotM.

I am looking for a guild that either uses TS3 preferably, or Ventrillo.

A desired guild would also have to have a Rep while PvPing policy, as i am a part of Soundtrack to your Escape in PvE on GoM, they are fine with me not repping 100%.

Classes Played:

Warrior, I have used this character in a dual axe setup for PvP with quite a bit of effectiveness though most teams don’t want warriors and he is primarily my PvE character.

Necromancer, I use this character primarily for PvP, in sPvP or spike DPS teams comprised of casters, thiefs, rangers, engineers, i run a Thiefromancer setup which puts out stunning DPS, and is very effective at soloing as well as dropping opponents in a manner of seconds in melee range as well as corrupting bunker boons. In a team which has heavys, Bunker Guardians, Warriors, or that is focused more on Point Defence, i run an epidemic/corruption setup that spams conditions amongst the entire enemy team while drawing all conditions off of our team, it also serves to tear down bunkers with corrupt boons giving them every condition then spreading it around.

I also have 3 unused classes and in the past i have played both Thief and Mesmer come to find that i prefer my necro setup, but i can also pick up upto 3 other classes and learn them interchangably for our team.

On my graphics card/LED tv monotor nothing looks blurry at all

Tengu – Because they are an awesome race with cool lore, and after farming them in the shiverpeaks in GW1 i feel i owe them one.

Dwarves – Because i feel like they are an intricate part of the lore and though their current status is not known in lore they are still alive and still fighting.

We are a tournament guild, focusing on putting together a new solid team to compete in paid tournaments. We base out of Gate of Madness, however for tPvP players being on this server is not required, that’s just for WvW and PvE players.

TS3 is a must for tournaments, Mic requested, but not required.

I run my warrior just fine, but I know the average person has issues with warriors however.

My advice to warriors who want to compete in sPvP/tPvP is as follows.

-Don’t cookie cutter HB fit.
– This alone is one of the main weaknesses of the warrior and how it is viewed. Some people do it well, but it’s not an I-Win for people who don’t specifically work at and enjoy this playstyle. (see my third and final point)

-Look at the weaknesses and find a fix.
-Signet of Stamina is beautiful against conditions and is necessary to kill mesmers with confusion, as well as remove bleeding as it stacks too high, and remove massive stacks of conditions from traps/condition professions.
-Traits are a wonderful thing, from changing to a shield to gain 90 toughness, to a very important ability where movement skills break immobility, stun, ect.

-Play a style that you are going to enjoy, and work at.
-Believe me, I get scoffed at when running dual axe/sword shield crit/bleed fit but it puts out mad damage with great survivability, mobility, and CC. However if you work at a specific fitting instead of looking for an I-Win button and see what works and adapt your fit, as well as run at a pace which you enjoy you will be much better of a player.

I would like to imply that I’ve played 1600 + games as warrior in pvp. On a high plan. It’s just not viable in paids. So far.

I’ve seen it used to some effectiveness in paids by some people on streams, I personally stick to free tournaments, But i agree they aren’t viable unless highly used to the play style for paids (as with anyone) not to say it’s not broken and this can be said about anyone.

At the same time i was just giving tips for using the warrior on a higher level than the typical garbage that really gives warriors a bad rap which i don’t see you disagreeing with

Arena-net has stated that a dueling system is in the works… They wanted to release the long awaited game before the fans had a riot so they left out several features, not just in PvP, like guildhalls for example which they have stated are coming as well, along with dueling and personal house instances for each player not unlike hall of monuments.

The personal expectations you hold based upon the advertisement may never be achieved to your individual liking. Personally i think they did a wonderful job with the PvP system in general, they just need to find a way to promote everybody to get involved with it more (laurals for dailys perhaps?), the rewards and titles are solid, show rankings, and give nice skins based on ranks.

but it’s all subjective to your expectations.

I agree with OP this will promote partys forming up and people going into sPvP and learning a new way to play and enjoy, as well as giving PvE incentives for people who otherwise just grind face, and it’s not like laural is able to provide something that will make PvPers overpowered in PvE or make it something highly grindable to give an advantage. Plus for someone like me who dabbles in both, it would be a fun way to bring people from PvE into the sPvP scene.

i’m good at the game personally, mainly PvP always play games to compete in PvP. But to my understanding this is supposed to be the “peoples game” favoring the casual player such as myself, not stuffy hey be an elite god walking amongst mere mortals title holder (which i was in GW1) and show full TA gear before you even get into a TA party type of game.

i never had trouble with it before the 28th tbh but every party i’ve been in since then has been wiping… could it be bad luck with GW2LFG possibly, i’m usually the last one down but that’s typical because i’m a tanky warrior so i don’t usually start by blaming the group for going down first

agreed… before the patch i was working twards nightmare armor but after i tried to run twilight arbor (on a highly populated server can’t even get a full party without getting scrubs from gw2lfg.com) i gave up and transfused my existing pieces with my old set… you pretty much killed the dungeons when you made our stats lower when playing with our levels lowered to create “equality” in lowbie zones (understandable and i like it) but this shouldn’t effect dungeons making them all but impossible unless you’re a hardcore gamer in a specific dungeon guild with a completely dedicated team and after college and work when i get home with my baby crying in my ear i don’t want that… so i agree with OP 100% fix dungeons to actually be possible to players in game.
