The Unlikely Plan, they were on piken up till a few months back. VII and GG (scnd at the time) were better probably but not by much and they’ve stepped it up a notch or two in recent weeks so could probably give either of them a decent match.

GG are still here and alive on Piken. Scnd were the raid rejects from GG(they just weren’t hardcore enough for us) they moved to a server that could carry them easier(<3 you guys).

The other problem you seem to not have seen is that guy is not the one hitting outside the wall. If you looked up you would see the ac in the lords room, yes he’s there shame you didn’t get a full screenie of the tower not just 1 part. Plus ComC isn’t one of our known guilds on Piken, i actually thought that was a Deso guild(the name). Can’t say i’ve ever seen them in WvW, in my recollection.

Sorry i just have to say this, coz i’m feeling childish(reading above).

Playing in the daytime does give a much better representation of Deso than the night does.

Or just add 1 from the new lot to the stack an they all become transferable.

We’re not complaining about nightcapping really. It’s just those of us that cover the nightshift and don’t play primetime only see what we see and currently you’re no different from all the “hated” servers(can’t think of a more diplomatic term right now). Please don’t misunderstand us we know whomever we face above T7 outnumbers us at night, just some servers are more courteous about it. Like us facing DL/FR(at night), yeah we were on almost even numbers but completely outclassed them due to the tricks/tactics we’ve had to learn. We could easily have painted every map our colour, yet we didn’t coz it wouldn’t be right to do it. Yeah we might of totally made home and EB ours but other than a few camps with the odd tower or 2 we left their borders alone.
I guess it’s just mainly down to what type of a person you are, with me leading at night i get to make sure we don’t become like every other server that does it. I’d rather lock down a single map an get it all upgraded T3 than pick on the enemy with the least numbers.

Theres plenty of things you could do. We’re not saying don’t cap stuff but just take your time, it’s not a race. Maybe instead of zerging the 5 guys defending one of you ask for a party invite then have a 1v1(5v5) for the tower/keep, if you lose you leave that objective and try for another 1 instead. Or you could have a party with us, dance and chat. The possibilitites are only limited by your imagination, unless you really do enjoy PvDoor. (We’ve done things like this before multiple times with other servers which have the same philosophy as us, which is fun and fights instead of watching the ppt).

I would have thought BB from facing them for 3months, it was just a shock to see you guys having double their numbers. I’m guessing it’s mostly due to them having guild raids run well into the night whereas the likes of our servers have to do with friendlies from every guild instead

We have been looking(we feel your pain too), but most the vids we’ve found are voiceless.

Although if anyone else comes across it please direct me there.

Personally i liked the bugged timers we had before, anything placed on the ground would stay until killed anything on walls was 30mins(give or take).

If you can find it we at GG would like the one’s where he keeps cursing us, everytime we turn him into a moa.

Try doing it for 10months. Piken has always in every single matchup been outmanned during the night. In EB alone we had 15 guys while your 60+ man blob(yes you had a minimum of 60 we counted as they stood around trying to build their next cat in the same spot as we just killed the last one(yes i use the word blob coz they were just not useful at all, Kodash had 3 people on the map(spoke with one of them that was roaming) yet your whole zerg got held at 1 tower using the exact same tactics over and over)) was pounding on WC for 2 hours, this is not to mention the 5 people we had facing 30-40 in our home border, and the gods knows how many you had in the other 2 borders(some map hopping probably but there was a constant force(20+) in each zone).

Piken has a night population of a T7 server, but we make the best of it by splitting up and talking with each other. I know this was reset night so you probably had more on than normal, but i haven’t seen that level of blobbing at night since we faced Elona back in December(even BB has half the numbers you guys put out at night, and they’re purely a nightcap server for points).

I hope and pray that this isn’t your normal style of play at night coz if so Pikens night crew just got shafted again. We don’t mind facing 2v1 odds in a fight but when its 4v1 it’s just boring as hell, especially when you only focus on 1 opponent(talking about EB here).

C’mon Deso you say you’ve had to put up with this for ages, well please don’t do the same to us as they’ve done to you.

Sorry i know this sounds like a moaning rant, it’s just i was quite excited to finally face you guys as you’ve always put yourself across as a server in a similar vein to us. Don’t take it personally though, i don’t mean anything bad by what i said, just a bit dissapointed i think.

Yeah we were hoping for Deso/Viz, but only coz we know how your 2 servers are attached at the hip.

Bumping coz i <3 all of FoS music vids.

Not entirely relevant but a little bit maybe. Back in GW1 to access UW/FoW you had to win 5 consecutive matches in HoH, this was region based with EU and NA. The main problem that happened was EU used to hold access 70% of the time due to having better teams/guilds of players. The only times that NA really used to get access them was after 2-3 am EU time because the majority of the EU went to sleep. This caused a lot of NA people to transfer to EU so they had access to the high loot areas(high loot areas not relevant for GW2).
I can see a similar thing happening in GW2 at some point where the better guilds from NA who are just after fights spread themselves across the upper servers of EU, to get rid of queues and fight the better guilds from the EU.

The last 4 out of 5 updates the warning has been 45mins-1hour before then again with the same message 5mins or less before booting. It does appear well before the update happens but not always, i think theres some sort of “bug” in how it appears to people/maps/servers so not everyone always sees it. Which is why some people complain about it on our server and then others say well i had the message.

I believe in GW1 the actual downtime of the servers was in total 15 hours over a 8 year life span so far, thats not bad at all.

Kratoon and all the guys in TUP are top notch people. They are nice guys who like to enjoy the games they play, they don’t need muppets like you trying to hound them. Show some respect to your opponents and they’ll give it back.

They were originally supposed to be 2 week matches and the bonuses used to activate faster due to ppt being calculated every 5mins. After the 1st beta this changed to 15mins, theres still no word on why we don’t have 2 week matchups(the last being when they switched from 3 days to 1 week and said this will be until the tiers settle and then 2 week matchups will be brought in)

Well we need the practice more, DSun whipped us badly last time around. We haven’t been the same since we lost most our raid/GvG members to scnd when they split from the guild.
Also Vanz get to the back of the queue, you’re too good to need GvG’s so let some of us noobier guilds do it 1st!

GG are up for some GvG’s too, smaller scale 10-15 is perfect for us.

It’s a shame we’re the 3rd class of people in GW2, 1st is PvE they get everything sorted almost immediately, 2nd is s/tPvP which they get round to fixing after a few days, then theres WvW where they say “who cares we’ll do it next month nobody plays it anyway”. Let’s see how long it atually takes them.

Every blue server has this problem. Although i have noticed that if you own the whole map and let green or red cap the camp and tower the yaks will spawn. They wont spawn on any other condition whether you hold SM or not, flip the camps or towers repeatedly nothing will make them kitten dolyaks appear.

I will say at the time that screenie was taken we only had 12 players in WvW in total across all maps, i agree it shouldn’t really be posted on here. It was a challenge me and another commander have sometimes, to see if we can get all keep’s with wp and then hold them for as long as we can.
I understand how you guys must feel to have this matchup, but it’s not the most fun for us either.

It’s been like this for almost a week now, Anet either haven’t had enough bug reports or don’t know whats wrong. theres been no comment from anet if they know it’s broken.

Just for info Piken has a night/morning crew the same size as T7 servers so don’t go all coverage issue on us. We just make up for what we’re weakest on.

Why does Riverside feel the need to invade every other servers matchup trolling.

Hope everyone enjoys themselves this week, gl DL and FR(it’s Anets fault for the matchup).

So we start a new matchup and in 2 hours have not had 1 single dolyak appear from our supply camps. So Stonemist Castle, Quentin Lake and Durios Gulch cannot be upgraded at all. Please hurry up and fix this Anet, it’s been like this for almost a week now.

The best way to portal bomb now requires 2 mes(3 and it’s so laughable), 1 as the decoy bomb the 2nd as the delivery guy. You stack as normal the 2 mes get stealthed by a thief then do their thing 1 skirts the enemy under stealth the other charges into the mass and drop his portal. as the enemy unload everything on the portal the other mes drops his just behind the main grouping of enemies. The 1st mes will survive if lucky enough to portal back before dying, if not “kitten happens” you took one for the team. With coordintion this works 9 out of 10 times against forces up to twice your size, also you have to vary it occasionally if facing the same opponent more than once a night otherwise they get wise and ignore the fake portal waiting for the 2nd, that’s when you portal at the 10sec mark on the originally fake portal as 2nd mes drops his portal. It’s all about misdirection.

Well it was kinda the matchup that should happen, never have the top 3 International servers faced each other, we all have similar styles of play(at least we all used to). Maybe if we send cookies to Anet they’ll make it happen, and accidently lock Viz, Elona and Riverside in a matchup forever. Anyways fingers crossed to the RNG gods for anyone but RS.

No it was the beginning of the evening around 7-9pm, several times we ran into your guild, most the time you had 20-25 at a guess with 5-8friendlies tagging behind. You might not have spotted us seeing as we were running a little light tonight with only 10-12 at our max, so easy for you to not notice when you walked over us. We did join up with the larger group a few times, either coz we saw the size of your groups(both servers) so had to, or coz we were passing by and lent a hand. Don’t get all stressed about it i’m not QQing i was just stating for someone else(Hora), as they claimed no small guilds were running around. I understand the mechanics of WvW and i’m glad AR hasn’t gone the same way as a lot of other servers, so relax:)

GG was running solo mostly tonight but kept getting run over by the EoW+ friendlies Kodash group and VoTF+friendlies AR group. We do occasionally group together with others for certain targets but prefer not to like most Piken guilds.

Dranul for EU server league president! He speaks so eloquently and truthfully it just hurts those involved to learn about themselves. RS had similar recently lost one of their best guilds due to it, don’t follow RS down and compete for the title of worst server ever(this is including NA servers and some of them are really bad). Listen to his words and reflect, then improve.

Deso we’re rooting for you in our next matchup…….Viz too only coz we haven’t faced either of you yet.

Yeah would be nice but after 2 months against you and AR, we like having a change of foes.

No we don’t want Riverside, they’re the worst server out there(in all aspects of play). Give us Viz and Deso, the only 2 servers in the top 10 we haven’t faced yet and they would also both actually fight rather than hide in keeps. Wouldn’t mind another crack at Elona too, it’s been a while since we last had a match.

At the Moment the only 2 honorable Piken Guilds (in my Opinion!) are GH and VII.
Everyone else just blobs or bashes random Players/Zergs which are around as big as their Guild Zerg, run away and camp in Keeps – practically do the same thing they accuse every National Server they fight of. I suppose GH and VII are the only things left of PS old fame.
Oh, and before someone delets my Post for “not being involved in this Matchup” – I transfered to Kodash just to have some fun with you Pikenguys again

Whether or not you transferred to Kodash could you please stop trying to derail our threads. The moderators deleted your posts due to them being inflammatory and discriminating, we would prefer that you didn’t try to keep doing the same here as you’re doing in all International server threads. You are entitled to your opinion but please do not try and start a flame war again. We are so far having a pretty enjoyable matchup without the need for people to start “mud-slinging”, thankyou.

It’ll be more popular with the next patch, seeing as Anet is putting one of the Aetherblade chests in there(needed for the achievement). So expect a lot more gankers and fights from tomorrow.

Well seeing as we haven’t faced AM since the beginning of November last year i doubt it very much as they used to play with smaller groups back then. Also seeing as you are just a Riverside troll who has already been kicked out of our matchup thread 3 times today so far after being reported to mods for trolling, i think anything you have to say here is kinda moot as you are not in this matchup.

On a side note goodluck this week guys, glad you got a better matchup this week FSP. AG c’mon step it up a bit we’ve been waiting ages to face TUP.

He’s complaining coz he’s from RS who we aren’t even playing. PS has always preffered to play as small roaming groups, if the servers we face force us to group up more often then we will but only for a short time(we like our independence as guilds).

Have it so after 5 games(or 5 losses) you automatically get sent back to LA to start again, that way afkers will be less of a problem. Had several matches where 4 on my team were afk, also had one where the whole other team was afk. It’s a great game but people always find a way to ruin it so they can get rewards for no work.

To FSP and DL, guys i know this is going to be a bit of bad matchup for you but please don’t give up. Keep fighting and trying your best, look at GH they did really well against us and RS. Anyways goodluck to all.

Thats your opinion Colly but for the majority of Piken we understand their reasons for leaving and wished them well(still do), they didn’t leave when the going got tough and if you knew anything about them you should know they relish a massive challenge(fight wise). TUP have only played on 2 servers ours and AG’s so not really server hoppers.

TUP are always welcome to post in Piken’s thread. They are one of the best guilds out there and some of us like to keep abreast of their endeavours(they being former Piken and nice/friendly).

I have a solution, move the German servers and Viz to the NA matchups. Then we can enjoy WvW again, from what i can tell most NA servers are similarily score obsessed so they shouldn’t mind too much. Or even better have 2 leagues, 1 for the servers that enjoy PvP and one for those that enjoy hiding in keeps and playing for points.

Hey if we do end up in the same matchup, come join our server TS so we can all play the drinking game together. Hilarity will ensue when everyones in the same channel trying to lead a fight.
