Fixed ? Really ? If it was that much high compared to the others forts, it was hardly noticeable…
It was the topography of the whole area that made it very easy to run around and scout a big area for chests that were dug up.
Yes, it’s right that much of the time most of the people were only at Amber, and not everyone wasn’t defending it, but as a player who doesn’t have much stuff yet, it was just faster farm which we knew wouldn’t last. It wasn’t even easy farm to hold the fort and get chests between attacks. Even harder than the daily bosses. And for all the hate on the people doing it for hours and only that, they still had to clear all mordrems near chests as they interrupt unlocking. And if anyone was falling to the ground, he was hardly to stay there more than a few secondes, even if the main reason to be there was for the chests.Instead of “nerfing” it, if the rest of the map was as much worthwhile, it would have never happened.
The point is it was far too much loot coming out that formed a neverending cycle

I must agree there is a problem here, I’m trying to do the event to get tokens and all the flows I can see around are taken by these queensdale farm train graduates chest farming while the events in the forts die off like nothing and those of us trying to get stuff done there aren’t able to do squat.

Animated it was even funnier, never had a boss that big done such an amusing gesture.
Thankfully, it could only be performed before combat started proper and getting back to start again was only a minute away.
I got a precursor from a green loot bag way before this patch or the halloween one, it’s just exceptionally rare.
Personally I’d like certain Canthan terror figure to become a fractal boss..in the GW2 engine, you know who.
The only thing I’d ask of the team is to allow NPCs to make a reference to a human character being decended from the Heroes of the past that took down the great destroyer and/or met Glint as one of the chosen, especially if the name was inherited from a GW1 character. Naturally this requires the presence of a GW1 linked account and certain monuments placed.
Other than this, this was a great patch.
PLEASE make sure this achievement can be solo’d.
Maclaine, you have no idea how many feels I heard from people hearing it. GW1 fans, including myself, REALLY loved it!
Complete the mission as normal without allowing the Vortex Crystals to take a boon from you.
Do not use skills that give you buffs.
One thing that would make this clearer and easier would be stating that the vortex crystal destruction has NO MINIMUM RANGE on it when it blows up.
This achievement reeks of horrendous difficulty anyway because of the poison fields of Death the Mordem Seekers push out along with how the NPCs charge in more suicidish than Alesia into them during the stand off near the end.
It’s just another horrible escort achievement …wasn’t there one like this in GW1 as a bonus objective?

I loved the gem system and promoted it because of the ability to specifically buy what you need and sell what you don’t. It set it apart from say….XBL’s points system, which has annoyed people to the point they ended up changing it.
Please, RETURN THE ABILITY TO SPECIFY LIKE WE DID BEFORE. The ability to instantly view the value of 400 gems is great, but do not strip away the best part of it.
I can see problems that need to be worked out if it has a toggle button on the hero panel like the costumes and mini pets.
What if you are using one in PvE. How do you get rid of it if you are attacked by a mob and have to fight? If you have to open up the hero panel and untoggle it, that’s very cumbersome. If it has a toggle and you can swap weapons or something to get rid of it, what happens to the toggle? Is it still on but your weapon no longer shows? How do you get it back then, by turning the toggle on and off?
It’s an interesting idea to put it on the hero panel but there might be problems with it since it’s something you use and not something you wear or display like the mini pets.
Maybe the Achievement reward panel reworked as you suggested. Just make one when you need it and delete if you get tired of it,
I agree, in heinsight to those points, it would be a far better use of the achievement panel’s little bit, those are skins which are redundant with the wardrobe system and we’ll never really need to re-create them. Let’s..well, use it for toys!
With the new outfits out for halloween I must wonder, why is the toy item held as a seperate single item, I know it’s only 1 inventory slot but it is a special item that comes with a BLTC purchase that is supposed to be perma.
Rather than it taking up an item slot that must be stored without loss, why not have it either be toggleable like the outfit itself, either by a tick in the hero panel or a keypress, or have a button on the outfit panel to “spawn related toy”, maybe even spawnable like the Achievement Reward items, the panel of which is redundant with the advent of the wardrobe system anyway.
It would give piece of mind for sure.

I think this does need a big fix, right now it’s simply too easy and frustrating for others to outbid you by 1c and leave your buy order in the dust. It’s simply down to who has the most time to set and refresh.
Why is it that an event like the triple trouble wurm, which is prone to heinous lagspikes given the activity going on there doesn’t have anything in place to protect players from losing their loot if they get d/ced and are unable to rejoin the map, even if they start reconnecting to the game the instant they are dropped.
I thought the only opponent in the game was the boss, why is the server connection suddenly a part of it? If someone d/ced but the event still succeeds and the player took part, allow them a way to get their loot. If you want to do Raid content Anet, this is something you NEED to look into going forward or it’s going to annoy quite a number of people.
Before any more world bosses that require large coordination to defeat (TT/Teq) how about sorting it so that organization is easier, right now the means needed to be done to get people organized into one map is a bit RIDICULOUS considering the scale of people.

In the EU server region, GW2comminity organises for the 14:30, 19:00 and 22:00 (CET) every day. Between all the English, German and sometimes French teams there are plenty of opportunities to get on an organised run. Some EU guilds also spawn the event for public runs as well.
The catch?? You need to be on the GW2community public Wurm teamspeak channel at least 40 mins before spawn. So, anyone in the EU region who claims this event is exclusive is just lazy. and should be doing less challenging events elsewhere.

The problem here is you, and many others, are missing the point of the THW event.This event is not designed for a group of unorganised randoms, it is designed as high-level content for organised groups. It is working as intended,
This event is no more ‘exclusive’ than any other high-level content in the game. Why do you think dungeons have level restrictions, or, will you start complaining about these being exclusive as well??

This is an OPEN WORLD event, not a raid instance. What are open world events typically? Unorganised randoms, this one has an element of knowledge that players participating must follow, that’s fine. However, the circumstances around the event as I previously said are the problem.
Before you go on about TS just like many others bleat on about, for an open world event, it’s a little unfair to suggest this (and before you call me one of the lazy ones, 64-bit TS client here, I have all achievements).
All this talk is starting to bring back memories of Realm of Anguish, something like that would be a nice raid instance.

Reminder that fixing it’s scaling won’t make it necessarily a cakewalk, it would just allow less fortunate maps a more fair chance of defeating it, if they say…gather all the rejected from the main map into another and give it a bash. It’s still going to require the cooperation of all 3 groups, but it won’t be hopeless.
I can understand and respect the need for a higher difficulty battle, but as it stands TT is a bit too exclusive for an open world (Hint Hint) encounter.
The main thing I miss from GW1 is non-conquest based spvp.

Why do you think I said people leave? We tried that, upon seeing the taxi lfg’s people leaped immediating thinking it was the main one..
The problem with this is it becomes a highly exclusive event to one instance, if you fail to get in that instance it’s play the “World is full” simulator till you can get some poor chap d/cing and nab their spot, or you are out.
Right now it’s impossible to get players to stay around on a non-main instance because they just give up and leave knowing it’s impossible to do thanks to the absolutely ridiculous scaling.
Just flag a report on them and move along, it’s far easier than in GW1 where they could hide by QUICKLY switching districts.
This is a bigger issue in Wub than anything, everything falls WAY too fast for the server to credit people.
People doing the defense event again and there’s hardly any scaling to stop it.
Who thought it would be a great idea to put this roadblock up?
As with the Grenth event had before the patch that altered it, this event is entirely dependant on being failed and set back to the capture event to make the Lyssa priestess spawn.
Player coordination is failing in alot of places as people rabidly succeed the defense event while others who WANT the event to fail cannot do much against it short of trying to upscale the event to defeat the other players.
This should not be an issue in the game, please allow the defense event to grant the trait.

It’s getting to the point of frustration where I’m acting like an angry CSer :P
I’m running into the kind of people that just stand at spawn when matches are being lost and it’s getting pretty frustrating now as there seems to be no visible punishment for this, even if they taunt they just want to end the match faster.
What can be done? Losing my rag a bit my time is being wasted just throwing kills to the enemy team.
It’s mostly VS That are the aggressors (surprise surprise), alot of RS folk I’ve been around are happy to let you jump around them on the JP providing you don’t hurt them. They know to save the real combat for the overworld, not just bag swapping at the portals.
The cutscene that is said on the patch notes to play once logged in did not play…is there an NPC in game that can trigger it for us?
This happened to me as well, no deaths, a perfect save, no achievement.
I just discovered it, it’s not a bug, just VERY difficult to make out.
What this does is create a small bubble with an image in it next to him that gives out the sharpened buff to you, similar to the 5gold recipe you can purchase from him (which is a total rip off for it’s regiments)
If you zerg in this event you DO get punished for it.

The fees counteract inflation (to an extent), not to mention it stops the reincarnation of spamadan.
2 problems with these achievements.
1. You cannot control your character during the loading screen transitions, which is complete nonsense it’s requried because it’s LESS THAN A MINIMAP SCREEN AWAY. The Marionette can come and shatter your attempt unless you have an ungodly powerful computer and SSD.
2. Complete reliance on strangers, you can defeat your regulator with a flawless victory, the mari not touching at all and yet because some people you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO WAYS TO ASSIST screw it up, YOU get punished.
Terrible choices here.
People simply don’t want to get on TS for their own reasons and commanders have to learn to accept this and simply…deal with it. There are loads of reasons described above for people not wanting to do it, such as listening to their own music, friends in another call or simply not wanting to listen to screaming and shouting/crappy music from some TS music bot. There’s also wanting to keep their PC’s resources better used too but this varies from case to case.
What commanders shouldn’t be doing is excluding those people using bully boy tactics shutting off their tags. Pugs WON’T simply leave a map, if there is a queue to get in they KNOW something is going on and will simply wandering around looking for said action through the swords icons or chatter on map chat, get killed by roaming zergs or otherwise make a server slot wasted.
If they are following the group at least they are contributing their power toward overall team fights, so what if they aren’t able to smell your breath and keep up with you, at least they died helping you.
The stupidity of commanders trying to strongarm people into teamspeak is mindboggling. In a choice between excluding and accommodating pugs, I think the choice should be obvious. Some of those people might actually think better than some random scrub who paid 100g for an attention tag and might make a bigger difference in teamfights if they knew where they people that need their help is.
I have to agree that it went away far too quickly compared to the normal life cycle of living world content.

Personally I’d like to see Anet force people off of overpopulated servers (particularly gold ones), letting people who have been on since the earliest days get priority to stay on and people who transferred out first, give them their gems back just get people divided into servers properly.
Been on SFR since day one, queues were nowhere near this bad, then came the numerous incidents that allowed people to freely transfer into my home server because “lel tier 1, let’s bandwagon alongside them so I think I’m good” lot, now this.
How about no achievements PERIOD, the current wvw lifetime achievements are enough.
