Imagine Down was Removed for a Week

Would you rather it be a “LS” update, for WvW? Perhaps a new “God of Death” approaches from another world and ‘steals’ the souls of the fighters as soon as they go down.

We could even do a Kiel/Evon vote thing to make this God stay in thi world (only for WvW). “Grenthill, the Mist Soul Claimer” or something like that.

That would be interesting, I think only people who actively pvp should be able to vote. You only get these tokens you vote with from killing players, or perhaps you only get one token from the next player you kill so everyone can only vote once, avoiding zergers from tipping the scale because it shouldn’t be just decided by the massive zerg guilds

That would be interesting if they removed down from all pvp for a week and then had a vote to see what players want.

At least if downed is removed then using arrowcarts on that 50 man zerg outside the keep isn’t just a waste of time because you might actually kill somebody then, rather than downing 1-2 people ocassionaly and having them pop right back up like a daisy.

This sort of thing is why devs ignore us. This suggestion is starkly broken, and it’s clear that no effort was made to prevent that.

Pretty much this! The first thing you should do when you think about a suggestion is ask about if and how players would abuse it, because they will if they can. Then the next thing is if they can abuse it would it be overpowered.

While yes he did do this, it’s only because our profession as a whole is broken to begin with.

I think the threshhold should be brought down to 80-85% though.

I dislike rally and the whole idea of downed state in pvp.

Basically it just gives whoever already outnumbers more of an advantage. If you’re fighting 1 on 3 and down one, without an invuln you are not getting that kill which you VERY MUCH SO DESERVE AND EARNED.

Food i don’t mind because it gives me at least something to spend money on and all the foods add alittle bit of diversity to a fight. Although there really only are 3-4 popular ones

you shouldn’t be winning a 1 v 3 in the first place, theres nothing wrong here.
the downed state is there because of insta gib classes, if there was no down state they would would be god like instead of just demi god like.

I typically put up very good fights 1 v 3’s as scepter/focus ele and all to often i down someone who I can’t stomp because i used my invulns for surviving damage or they get rallied while im invuln and trying to stomp them because they were being ressed as soon as i downed them and as we all know stomping takes forever.

This to me is unfair

This should be titled "warrior’s code’ as your rules basically state that every thief, mesmer, and necro are dishonorable. Although most warriors run just the same when they are losing.

The fact is there is no honor on the battlefield. People will do what they want because they can, deal with it. I nor anyone else is required to indulge you in a 1 on 1, and should use anything to their advantage.

I want to crush the enemy’s spirit, not hold their hands.

IDK I got backstabbed by 3 guys at once and they sat there laughing the insult on top of the injury is where it becomes dishonorable

I just don’t understand why anyone would want to be, or take pride in being, one of a hoard rather than the outnumbered hero braving the odds.

because when there’s AOE and auto-targeting it’s stupid to be the guy on the left

I’ve seen groups of thieves like that, not trying to single any one profession out but it seems like professions like thieves in games attract that crowd of players. Who for no reason other than to rub salt in a wound will /laugh after a victory whether it be on fair groups or unfair ones.

eles would be wise togo berserker and go 30 in earth, carrion or (in my opinion the best amulet for eles) Celestial. With the buffs to earth( it gives earth eles whole lot more survivability against condi specs), but then that just promotes a tanky berserker. Which is basically the same thing as it was a year ago when people were 30 in water and obtaining a huge amount of sustain and healing, while getting stronger as the fight progresses. via a duel or roaming. I don’t believe the buffs and nerfs will bring a roaming/dueling DD/DF ele to the scene. For those old school cantrip dd eles, they know how fun it was to roam eb, or any bl. Now a year later coming into a berserker meta, is the new builds going to make ele fun again? through being a destruction storm with little room for error. That’s a lot to put on an eles shoulders, whether it is for casual player sally, or hardcore pvper bob.
I know so many eles, including myself who want DD/DF ele to make a comeback, and feel strong while still having fun a the same time.
At the end of the day its going to leave many eles confused at what todo for atleast a month after patch til some ele decides that are going balls to wall and going no arcana, balls deep all in approach, make it work and make it look good. A Patch for any particular class shouldn’t leave their players at this cross road. Players should be able to modify and pick right up. But this is going to force eles to change the way they see ele itself and how to play ele. This may leaves many eles frustrated, or liberated.

All I know is, I am SD full berserker magus, 0-30-0-10-30 running lightening flash arcane blast and air signet, who absolutely loves arcana and air and wont ever leave it. My build is extremely glass, and leaves no room for error. Roaming is extremely difficult on this build but I do it anyways. Being so glass I have to constantly worry about being ganked by hungry thieves and ever aware of the omnipresent zerg, SD doesn’t have much escapes compared to say a DD ele and every second in battle counts, but alas I am ranged and an arcane ele. my survivability is greatly increased being so, I can only hope and wish the best for DD eles that journey into the abyss boonless and without arcana.

Toxic Fumes Elementalist poison suggestion

Just an idea ive been suggesting for a while now. You dont see condi eles in pvp because we don’t have the best conditions ingame, although burning is acceptable its way to easily cleansed constantly because we lack the ability to really stack anymore than 2 conditions at a time (burning and bleed) and our bleed stacking is lackluster, if you use a scepter you know it takes way to long to stack those bleeds in a fight and if anything gets in their way they hit that first.

We need another condition to stack and so Ive had this idea for a while now.

Toxic fumes- fire traitline. 30% chance on burning to inflict poison on enemies (3-5 seconds) maybe some sort of internal cooldown so it isn’t to spammable?

Nobody ever really uses the fire traitline because it is lackluster and this will give condi eles a poison finally and people a reason to trait into fire as this isn’t only useful to just condi eles so i think we will see more diversity in the ele community as a whole.

If this idea were implimented i think that it being a master trait would be fair.

Ideas, suggestions?

-Second idea- on top of this idea i was thinking maybe buff eles signets aswell as nobody is really using them in pvp

-Signet of fire- Add a poison to it, 3-5 seconds on top of the burning
Signet of earth- Add 3 stacks of bleed for 6 seconds on top of the immoblize
signet of water- increase chill duration by 50%
Signet of air- I think is good where it’s at, stunbreak and a blind

Necros get signet of spite which is basically just all of our signets combined into one more powerful ability so i think its only fair if each individual signet of ours see’s a buff.

If it were a guaranteed Poison application whenever Burning was applied with an ICD then I’d see no issues. That way it’s equally viable with Flame Burst on Staff and Drake’s Breath on mainhand Dagger. You could have a 5 sec Poison application with a 10 sec CD and you’d be pretty much set, maybe make it a Master tier trait.

I would say the only dishonorable people are the ones who use cheat via exploits, third party programs and/or purpose sabatoge another servers resources (man power, supply, VOIP).

Yea, I think that’s what I think as well. People should be using every tactic it takes to win, but once those measures go outside the rules of the game, then that’s just kitten.

the reasons i didnt mention this (it did come to mind) is because these people aren’t just dishonorable and cheap players, they need to be punished. They go on the “players who need to be banned asap list” not the dishonorable one.

I’m noticing some people say they won’t attack people in the JP as an honorable act and while i can respect that I also don’t find it to dishonorable to attack someone who you know will pose a challenge rather than attacking the occasional upleveled staff ele who clearly has no idea what they are doing or where they are. I will attack people in there but i don’t stomp. I don’t necessarily find it dishonorable to stomp people in there but i choose not to do it. This is all opinion of course but…

If i beat you and got the satisfaction of a fight and you clearly pose no threat to me, why should i make you restart the whole JP? That’s just not in my blood to do that unless the person is from a camping guild or is a familiar dishonorable face.

That uplevel that you let by could be joining a zerg out to cap your towers and camps. If it’s red, it’s dead. *

Yeah thats why i said an uplevel can’t expect to be untouchable, but it is good sportsmanship in my opinion to see someone just walk right by one that could 3 hit them. Idk why i like seeing that so much

When I roam I try to play honorably:
– Don’t attack uplevels.
– Don’t attack people who are clearly don’t want to fight (gathering, trying to get to their karma train, etcetera.)
– Don’t jump into an even fight (unless the enemy tries to stomp.)
– /invite or /join people to tell them ‘good fight’ if the situation allows for it.
– Try to warn enemy roamers when a zerg is inbound.

… but more often that not it just gets me zerged down, killed, or insulted. I should really stop trying to be nice and start being a jerkface.

I got like this before and i thought being mean was just how everyone was, then i was mean to a player who is just like you and i felt bad for it, they just wanted to compliment me on my exceptional build. Needless to say I don’t jump to conclusions anymore, everyone gets a /salute or /bow for a 1 on 1, even if they would of danced on me if i lost.

Honorable players are few in number as seen in this thread but they are out there.

I often laugh at people using FotM builds and lose badly when they weren’t supposed to lose to a build like mine.
I often throw ballistas on SA Thieves’ corpses.
I often run from a Perplexity Engi or a PU Mesmer.
I never stomp if the fight I just had entertained me.
I never stomp the last downed guy in a outnumbered fight.
I never kill upleveleds unless they chase me for 30s straight (and I will not stomp them after downing them).
I am the author of all my builds, but some of them could still be considered “FotM” because the game has been out for so long that all viable builds have been discovered already.
I never run away from a 1v1 unless I see other opponents incoming during a balanced fight.
I always stop fighting if I see a servermate joining and interrupting the duel, and if my opponent manages to down my servermate I will not interrupt the stomp.

So, am I dishonorable or honorable?

I’d say honorable considering more than likely the only people you run from as explained, aren’t using their own builds but rather someone elses that they saw in action and looked up. Also when it’s all tallied together you are a respectful player.

I was going to add honorable players don’t go out of their way to kill uplevels as i see alot of players ignore me on my uplevel and it’s kind of a “that must be someone looking for a challenge and not a loot bag” sort of feeling, respectable, but also uplevels can’t expect to be untouchable so IMO thats fair game although i often avoid attacking any uplevels who don’t attack me first, why waste my cooldowns? I’m an ele i can’t afford a 50 seconds cd on my knockdown trying to kill an uplevel running away when i could use it to defend myself against the backstab thief coming my way. That can offer me a half decent fight.

Dishonorable players are people who….
-run from a fair fight but turn around when the odds turn in their favor
- will laugh at you after beating you even if you put up a valiant effort in your fight
- will interupt duels
- use and abuse the flavor of the month meta without any kind of custom twist to it
-laugh/mock you after beating you while they outnumbered you but would turn down any 1 on 1 offer

Honorable players are people who…
-fight to the death in a 1 on 1
-don’t interupt 1 on 1’s even if it isn’t a duel as long as the fight is on fair grounds (not against an upleveled)
-never laugh or mock anyone who doesn’t flat out deserve it
-Sometimes fight without running even against the odds
-Uses a build not straight off of google that you came up with on your own or at least has some custom twist to it so it isn’t exactly by the book and has noticeable difference
-may choose not to stomp someone or may choose to /salute or /bow to someone who offered an interesting battle.

At the very least they need to make it so that if you use it with a target, period, you get 20s cd. But really, it should have a 20s cd in all cases. Why is there such a double standard where it is not ok for paper ele to disengage, but it is fine for gung ho beefier than a big mac war to do so (and they always had better mobility than ele).

This is what I don’t understand. Ele is practically a thief without stealth and gets no real upper hand in any fight. Were suppose to be a counter for necros and engineers (I’m pretty sure) but more often than not we lose to them simply because our condi cleanse counts for nothing if we can’t reach our opponent and they just reapply all their condis 5 seconds later.

Against condi classes we spend most of the fight crippled or chilled with our rtl on cd, our condi cleanse being widely over-exaggerated when ether renewal is typical interupted. You get to use it once in a fight if you combine it with armor of earth, but after that your done.

Against power classes we need to be really skilled and know when to dodge because if we don’t we suffer greatly for it and may not be able to recover as we are the squishiest profession when all survivability is matched up.

Against classes that just want to run and norns with the catform elite skill, we may as well not even bother chasing unless we have a firey gs, but even then wars can outrun us.

I just don’t see where we are given the edge.

Not understanding rtl nerf

If Anet nerfed ALL gap closing abilities accross the board it would make more sense, but they give our only reliable -weapon- gap closing ability a 40 sec cd if we don’t land the hit.

Meanwhile, GS/sword-shield wars easily keep up with me WHILE IM USING FIREY GS AN ELITE SKILL. and GS/hammer wars can keep up with me for about the first 15-20 seconds.

How do you justify such mobility especially after nerfing ours?

I usually never complain about the rtl nerf but i just started running DD again and it’s just absolutely ridiculous to me, if your game wasn’t free I’d quit along with many other players looking for quality service.

After running into a guild group camping wvwvw spawn composed of around 9-13 hammer/bow or hammer/rifle wars and about 5 healing guardians. its nice to see this easy mode playstyle get toned down. Way to much damage for people specced to tank up to 10 players at once.

There is nothing wrong with the warrior, and it is not an over-powered class. Most people in the mists are garbage and don’t queue up with balanced builds. These people are susceptible to scrub-stomp tactics such as skull crack + 100 blades. This breed of gamer will also talk kitten in game and cry all over the forums.

Best thing to do is ignore them.

Tell that to the all-warrior teams. Overpowered and easy class is overpowered and easy.

Can’t catch a warrior who wants to run even, not that they ever need to unless its 5v1. Now whirlwind away.

Im not sure how anet justifies a 25 sec cd chill that only chills for 3 seconds and deals next to no damage. You know if that was an engy ability or a necro ability its cooldown would be 10-15 seconds tops. (focus chill)

If you wanna see more condi eles in pvp what we need is a poison.

Necros have
confusion, poison, burning, bleed, chill, cripple, torment, weakness,vulnerability,blind and immoblize (all extremely easy to apply and on very low cooldowns, some being spammable and fast casted)

Mesmers have
Confusion,bleed, torment, poison, chill, cripple, weakness, blind, burning, immoblize. (confusion being very spammable)

Engis have
confusion, poison, bleed, burn, chill, vulnerability

Condi eles do NOT have
confusion,poison, torment,vulnerability (unless u wanna count shatterstone which never hits anyone) we have weak cripples, our chills are on very long cooldowns for some reason and we have one immoblize if you are using mainhand dagger, not counting signet of earth because it has a 30 sec cd.

Our conditions are lackluster we rely fully on burn and bleed to do our damage. Which are just usually cleansed before any real harm is done by a competent player.

My idea~

Give us a trait in fire called (Toxic Fumes) Every time you burn an enemy you also have a chance to apply poison (2 seconds 30% chance)

Comet- Dazes enemy and applies confusion (3 stacks for 6 seconds)

Wall of flames- Let us pre-maturely consume our wall of flames (similar to mesmers pull) and get this ability (Toxic Gas, enemies in this cloud of gas get poisoned and crippled (1 second, lasts 5 seconds)

Give elemental attunement boons on swap to self naturally, make the trait give these boons to nearby allies. Tadam!

This would make the most sense, elemental attunement is the base of elementalist survivability and alone with such a low healthpool it isn’t enough but yet it is still a must have in any elementalist build.

This should by all means be a natural part of the elementalist attunement swamping mechanic. But no they want us to trait 20 points into arcane for it now, what?

Stun warrior have been nerfed since sigil of paralyzation has been “fixed” that is why you don’t see alot of warriors with mace/shield + GS at least I haven’t seen many anymore.

Hammer is getting its damage nerfed

Earthshaker. Reduced damage by 20%.
Staggering Blow. Reduced damage by 23%.

Mace

Skull Crack. Increased the cast time from 1/4s to 1/2s. Updated the animation and effects of this skill to be more clear. (same cast time as lightning whip)

Nobody is using mace that I have seen in WvW since it doesn’t give a full 100blades anymore nobody wants to use it (still a great control weapon imo). Hammer damage nerfs are pretty big. People will still use it for the CC but the damage won’t be as scary on somebody wearing almost full Soldiers gear with 20 points in tactics.

Those nerfs aren’t a big deal at all. What needs a nerf is the cooldown on burst skills. Wow, the aoe 2 second stun will deal less damage? Unfortunately, any aoe stun that can be used every 7 to 10 seconds is still op as hell in a team fight. Earthsaker would still be a great skill if it did zero damage. Damage isn’t why you use the skill in the first place and the damage isn’t what is making warriors too good when used by terrible players. A 10 second base cooldown and the ease of building adrenaline means earthshaker and skull crack can be used effectively by spamming them. Updraft, earthquake and gale are on 40+ second cooldowns. Do you think good eles use those on cooldown without thinking? All cc effects should be things you have to use with some intelligence, but this doesn’t apply to warriors.

The skull crack change is nice in principle, but I’ll have to wait and see. 1/4 of a second is impossible to dodge with reaction. Is doubling the time of impossible going to be enough? It’s a step in the right direction, but Anet is being far too timid in their attempts to nerf things that are clearly too strong and making gameplay uninteresting and unskilled.

Meanwhile when DD eles were OP Anet was like

“lets nerf their survivability, damage, mobility, lets nerf their healing, lets nerf cantrips and Lets make it so they can’t heal in mistform anymore without justifying the reason behind it other than calling it a bug, a 75 second cooldown 3 second long invulnerability is enough on its own right?”

D/D is fine still for solo roaming. The next patch isn’t a nerf to standard D/D 0/10/0/30/30 you can play it the same with the same traits.

Actually to alot of builds of DD ele it is a nerf, specifically to ones that lean more towards surviving rather than burst.

I don't get it wouldnt this make more sense?

I’d like for Anet to justify moving cleansing wave, elemental attunement, final shielding and renewing stamina up instead of just

“we don’t want you to have to spec as much into water and arcane to be effective” they may as well be saying “we don’t want you to spec as much into water and arcane to be effective, we want you to spec EVEN MORE into them so we are moving all the good adept traits up to master, enjoy the nerf, 4th one in a row” (or is it the 5th? i lost count)

I wouldn’t mind this either and maybe in lingering elements place put evasive arcana or even elemental attunement so its only imperative that every ele put 15 in arcana?

The changes to atunement CD, changing the base from 16 secs to 13 and decreasing the recharge rate from 2% per point to 1%, is a buff for every build that puts either 0 or 10 points into Arcana. That means every single damage-oriented PvE spec out there (SD+LH: 0/20/25/25/0, 30/10/10/20/0, 30/0/10/20/10, 25/25/0/10/0, and with Conjurer being moved to Adept, 10/10/25/25/0; Staff: 30/20/10/10/0, 30/10/10/10/10.)

A great many PvP/WvW ele’s still play the classic 0/10/0/30/30 or 0/0/10/30/30, and in regard to Arcana, these specs will be the same as they were pre-Dec 10th: Vigor on Crit, Boon on Atune, Evasive Arcana. Anet probably tried to preserve this spec when considering changes. Since cantrips got stripped of stun-breakers, I don’t run it anymore, but a lot of people still do, and Anet know this.

A lot of Ele’s view Arcana VI, perma vigor, as a must-have in PvP, and also in PvE to an extent (eg. solo’ing Lupi, or if you’re running full DPS gear/spec in a 5-man group and just need more dodges). Anet said they were going to move either Arcana V or VI up a tier, and gave us the choice of which: the majority of us chose to keep VI at Adept because it’s important to both PvE and PvP/WvW, whereas V is only important to PvP/WvW.

But it doesn’t matter really for builds that use 30 arcana the majority of eles rely on Evasive Arcane Grand Master trait for survival and every ele I know (literally) uses elemental attunement. It’s basically a MUST HAVE for elementalists accross the board.

Now we also have less good traits to choose from in arcane. I have to choose between Renewing stamina, Final shielding and Elemental attunement? This is overall a very large nerf to MOST pvp builds of elementalists as most pvp builds go 30 in arcane for evasive arcana for the extra damage output and survivability. The end result of the Attunement CD is also the same with 30 in arcane either way.

If Anet wants us to spend less in arcane what they need to do is take whats so powerful in arcane and make it easier to obtain or just make it a part of the base elementalist mechanics because now every elementalist HAS to go at least 20 points into arcane to be functional and most eles will still more than likely go 30 in arcane to be efficient.

Overall all they are doing is giving us less good traits to work with by making us choose between some of the most important and commonly used traits amongst all elementalists, this is indeed a nerf.

What Anet should do is take Arcane fury and replace it with Elemental attunement, then make arcane fury a permenant addition to every elementalist. This way Anet achieves their goal in getting us to NEED to spend less in arcane to be viable and buffs an underpowered profession.

Anet wants us to have to spend less points in arcane and water and still be viable but their plan is to move traits that are necessary to my current build like arcane shield and cleansing wave to master tier traits along with a trait that is NECESSARY to every elementalist pvp build out there which we all know is elemental attunement.

Now with any build i chose to go into i automatically HAVE to spend 20 points in arcane as oppose to 10 to get elemental attunement. It is now more imperative than ever that i reach at least 20 in arcane when i go zerker or condimentalist now. Because i just can’t see me playing without elemental attunement.

Yes people this would be a buff and a decent sized one but isn’t that ummm kind of what elementalist needs?

No if you want good survivability I’d go knights or clerics. Soldier is for professions that have good survivability in combat without having to focus on boosting the power of a specific area of defense. We do not have that luxury.

I suggest clerics personally. Outstanding healing is the only way you’ll last in a fight.

December 10th Elementalist changes

I think bringing diamond skin down to 85% will be a wise decision. 90% seems kind of useless vs a properly geared and traited necro, engi or mesmer. A phantasm will drop me below 50% hp in 1 hit if i don’t dodge it, healing up would just narrowly give me a few seconds of alittle bit above 85% hp meaning id then have time to retaliate without worrying about confusion spam but my window of opportunity would be small at best, and when i say this about me, im talking about the majority of eles out there.

I’ve reported it once before but no mention of it being fixed.

When i use dragons tooth and it is in mid air, or just as im about to finish casting it and the cast registers and it’s in the air. If i get CC’d (stunned, dazed, feared, knocked down, knocked back -sometimes-) etc even if it falls right on top of someones head, it does absolutely nothing.

It’s already near impossible to hit someone with this ability so can we please see a fix to this.

We have been doing well building strength in togetherness from these forums and in our guild chat. As things change, for better or worse, let us not forget that a path was made for us. Why are female characters rocking like a small bra and thongs but male characters have on ugly looking boxer briefs?

Can we all get the choice to change what kind of underwear/bras our characters wear? Some women who play don’t like the “skimpy” look so they should be able to design it to something less revealing if they wish and i wanna be able to design my characters underwear personally.

All i wear irl is low-riding calvin klein underwear/ papi underwear so I’d like be able to style my characters underwear to something like that. Just a thought that crossed my mind.

Condi mes, just use phantasms and zerkers to drop us instantly to 50% hp. If all else fails just stay invisible while your clones do all the work. (typical mes)

Condi necros, just have a golem slap us once or use your wells that deal direct damage hitting like 2k. No ele has more than 20k hp that i know of. At least not one who doesn’t hit like a level 10 ranger.

To a competent player, it’s very easy to bypass diamond skin, especially in a game where group combat is more commonly found than skirmishes.

Warriors remind me of enhancement shamans in WoW.

If you took enhancement shammans and combined their healing with a disc priest then gave them a 50% damage boost and 3 times the mobility they have now, that’s the equivalent to a war in gw2 right now.

Sigh..why bother? Fact is the class was OP (not really) then UP then OP. Players came in like waves and anyone who dare say this class had even one OP trait was branded an traitor and flamed.

The way I see it everything I asked for months ago got done and they went overboard with the hammer nerfs, but who knows how that will pan out. FoTM players will move on to the next top their class if this one still isn’t at that level. What disappoints me the most is that we all know in another class forum conversation will erupt over what is OP and what is not resulting in the same wasted arguments we saw here.

I will be glad to dust off my Lyssa warrior (which I hung up due to feeling too strong), however I feel the community that used to be the best has gone to kitten in this length of time. So many good warrior defended stun lock builds and Ham/Bow as being skill based vs OP traits and mechanics. As much finger pointing goes to the FoTM the same should go to the players who were active and positive members of the community who stayed quiet or simply jumped on the band wagon.

I do not know what irks me more of the two. While some may want to dance on the grave that might be the warrior profession I am honestly not feeling “The told you so!” and feel more like the damage has been done. What used to be the hardest working class has turned into the the cheesiest most disgusting pool of bad players I have ever seen. So while I agree with many of the nerfs coming to this class I feel the opportunity to rework warrior into something good and unique has been lost.

Especially the warriors have turned into the cheesiest baddest playerbase ingame. This scepter condi necro meta build following right behind that.

Every class is somehow getting nerfed in PvP. So that is indrectly a buff to Elementalists. People need to learn to just not read the Ele’s patch note and go " HURR DURR THEY NO LISTEN NO BUFF WHHYYY ANERF WHYYYYYYY ELE BLACK SHEEEEEEPPP OF THE YEARRRR OMMAAAAAGGGGAAAAHHDDD DUUURRRR"

Getting annoying you know. I’ve started enjoying more my Ele since I don’t lurk the forums as much as I used to anymore.

I read the other professions patch notes as well and I’m not amused. The build I’m currently using and have been using for months is being nerfed and I gain very little out of this “buff” so before you go mouthing off like that, learn who you’re talking to because I know what I’m talking about.

I want an elite nuke. I’ve wanted an elite nuke since day 1. I’ve always been disappointed at not having one. Tornado should be changed to a glyph of storms style ground targeted nuke. You get the additional effects depending on your attunement when casting.

Fire: larger radius.
Air: blind
water: chills
Earth: projectile defense

That’s a pretty good idea or tornado could work like sandstorm you shoot it forward and it moves really slow, this would allow you to use it to your advantage to fight in and around and it would also be great a great ability to use against zergs.

Why is Anet so scared to give us a reasonable buff?

You can’t give us things without taking some things away this upcoming patch is a perfect example. We need a BUFF not to stay in our current underpowered state.

What about focus abilities? and the lackluster scepter abilities? Some focus abilities hit like a level 20 warrior.

Hundreds maybe even thousands of ele’s on these forums have been asking for changes to focus and scepter and Anet has done absolutely nothing! All I play is ele its been my only level 80 since day one and everyday i ask myself, does Anet know anything about balance?
