Here’s your sign. Both untraited with Steady weapons.
Hey now, that ele has a zerk jewel and the engi is running soldiers. Harder to compare the two with pvp “over the top” stat boosting trinkets.
Are you saying that a Soldier amulet overpowers a Berserker amulet? Your statement does not make sense. The amulets are balanced.
The Ele needs crit to do enough damage with all their (nerfed) direct damage heavy skills. That is where the kill damage comes from. The Engi does not need crit because of their toolset, and their conditions do not need more Condition Damage or Condition Duration than what is given in the traits. Additionally, raising toughness and vitality “accentuates the positive”, since Engi survivability augmented through traits is tank-worthy.
You are looking at pictures of two builds that are supposed to counter each other. There is a problem with the current design. Anyone with experience playing both classes can look at the numbers and tell that it is broken.
Complete rubbish. You can’t compare stats when you’ve built for specifics. To say “look at my low hp!” when you’ve got 35% crit vs. the engi’s 4% is misleading. Why even mention both having steady weapons if you’re not going to compare apples to apples? And to say that engis don’t need crit for a power build is wrong, and to say they don’t need condi damage in a condition build is even more wrong.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Both require skill to play well, but I think Ele is harder.
Mesmer is less squishy, thanks to clones and good escape/evades.
Mesmer are loved in dungeons.
Ele can stack group might very fast and can group heal well too.
Mesmer is a slow traveler.
Ele has much more aoe, while mesmers are deadly 1v1.

I almost never make male characters in light armor professions. Can’t stand the dude-in-robes look. Works ok with asura though. Generally though, the female models in this game just look much better, have better animations, and have better armor designs.
Female
sylvari ranger
sylvari mesmer
human warrior
human necro
asura engineer
Male
norn thief
human guardian
asura elementalist
Can’t stand the look of my guardian but I don’t want to reroll a profession that I find boring and is lvl 45. Love the look of all my other characters though. Went with skinniest norn for thief so-as not to look like a giant muscle blob with a tiny head.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
By level 35 you’ll have access to several crafted looks, drops, T1 cultural, CM dungeon, and at least a dozen transmute stones.

Dulfy is quite handy. She’s gotten me through some more complicated walkthroughs and directed me to locations around Tyria that are sometimes to bothersome to hunt down. But I don’t look at any guides until after I’ve played through the content a bit because I too hate spoilers. I want to immerse myself in the story that Anet has released and only go to guides if needed. Patch guides are good, but not on day 1.
Also, I liked Rurick. The dynamic of a father/son fight over what’s best for the kingdom is evocative. It’s easy to side yourself with one or the other, either thinking of Rurick as petulant and cowardly for running away or having foresight and being brave for leading people on a exodus. Every character is flawed, good or bad. To have a shining white knight is boring. To have a soulless dark evil is sometimes boring too. Gotta have flaws, weaknesses, strengths, complexities, nuances, and passion.
I liked Eldrick too. More father/son issues, though admittedly, his are much worse. And like mentioned above, when it came time to take him down, it wasn’t with a burning hunger for vengeance but rather a go quietly and nobody gets too hurt man, just get in the box.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
For those who have 1-2 mains that they play all the time and have amassed scrolls and SPs…sure, a resetting obelisk would be bloat. It’d be free SP just to have em.
But for players like myself, who have 8 characters, some at 80, some at 30, and everywhere in-between, extra SPs are nice for leveling and unlocking skills. Also, cuz there’s this new 25pt Antitoxin Spray that my level 30 elementalist can’t afford and I refuse to burn 250 spores + 5g to get it. The content is open for any character 25+ but only 80s have the SP to buy the skill.
I’d like a resetting obelisk that can be used once per account.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Could there be more uses for SP? Sure.
Does a 25 SP lackluster outside of the current LS skill worry me about future skills? Absolutely.

As to how far would I like to see the impact of the Tower, I think the answer is (and applies to all future LS content) to put in the game what seems most likely if it were real. If this happened in Pennsylvania for instance, the effects would be felt throughout the state, the entire country would watch with fear, travelers would spread it throughout the nation, and the world would watch and comment. Likewise, the surrounding zones should be wary of it and be effected by it, the whole of Tyria should acknowledge it. In Ascalon you should hear 2 Charr saying “hey, did you hear about that tower in Kryta? Woa man…glad the krait aren’t around here.” In Timberline Falls you should see people getting sick, wondering if the Krait witch is to blame or if they should close borders to travelers so prevent the toxin’s spread. Since The Orders are so prevelant in the personal story, so too should they be everywhere else. The Priory should always researching what’s happened after each event. The Vigil should send back-up or battle plan for any eventuality. And the Order should be information gathering during each event, possibly being the source of new information during the events.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
The number of available armors increase exponentially as you level. By the time you hit 80, not only will you have access to all the skins that drop, but also those you can craft, buy with karma, earn from WvW badges, earn from dungeon tokens, and craft in the MF.
EDIT: oh yea, forgot about cultural and order armors

I will concede that the game can broaden itself if properly implemented, not trying to be everything to everyone but simply offering a wider range of tasks other than “go forth hero & slay stuff!” However, a primary concern I have (and Brimwald touched on it) is Anet’s resource allocation. They have a finite number of man-hours and dollars to work with, and broadening the scope of the game too much (subjective, I know) could water down the time and money spent on each facet of the game. Every 2 week releases is quite fast, but if a large chunk of Anet’s available resources are allocated for player housing and the like, then will balance, traits, new gear, LS events, new zones, gem store get less attention as a result? Will we see balance/skill/trait updates less often? Will we see LS patches every 4 weeks because the other weeks are reserved for updating the array of vegetables to plant in your farm?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
This is a good example of how different activities appeal to different types of players. The goal of the sort of thing I outlined in my previous post would be to provide a range of gameplay types; even if they don’t appeal to you personally, they appeal to others. When you and other players with your taste in gameplay are between dragons to slay and wrongs to right and you take a break from the game for a few days, the people who do enjoy “menial things” might find the downtime enjoyable instead of boring because they always have things to tinker with. This keeps the activity level of players in the game relatively high instead of rolling in and out in waves without the developers needing to frantically push out content even faster than they do now.
Appealing to different types of players is an investment in the game’s health. I have little to no interest in sPvP, but I recognize that resources put into it to make people happy with it and keep them playing are not wasted.
The way I see it, this is an example of a game trying to be too much to everyone. The game is created, it has an identity, a playstyle, a focus. To introduce all of those ancillary things now would be to broaden the scope of the game to beyond its identity. It would cease to be GW2 and become GW2+v2.0, the new & improved fantasy steampunk virtual hero life simulator. We’re trying to nail down exactly how we think the LS should progress, how it can be presented, how it can improve. To add things like player farms would (in my opinion of course) cheapen the essence of the game, reducing it from an adventure game to a mundane way to spend every waking minute logged on to the game just because.
A game needs to be focused or it will just be a bunch of watered down things here & there. Too many mini-games and it becomes Fusion Frenzy with better graphics. Was that game fun? Sure, but that’s not why this game was created. Pick a focus, stick to it, make it the best ever. Don’t try to make a game that does everything.
Besides, if I need to take a break from the game, then shouldn’t I actually take a break from the game and enjoy real life rather than fish or farm avocado in-game? Just my $0.02
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
It’s a personal opinion, but I’m just so against things like player housing and farms and fishing in a game like GW2. Just because it’s a Living World doesn’t mean we have to do all the menial things in the world. I’m supposed to be a hero, a slayer of beasts, defender of Tyria, commander of the Pact…and I’m going to manage a farm??!? I don’t want to be a shop keeper or farmer or zookeeper or fisherman. Am I retired? What’s next? Laundering my armor? Vacuuming my player housing? Entertaining small parties with hors d’oeuvres?
Personalization of the Home Instance is fine, if it shows my progression as a hero. But I don’t want to manage shops or go to market. That’s not what this game is about to me.
As for Player Initiated Events (PIE), I’m all for it. But I’d rather them be adventure based rather than defending a market-bound cart of radishes I grew. Can’t I challenge new hunters to a great hunt? Or spread the tale of a lurking evil in a cave? Or challenge others to a contest of _.

Actually, I have to disagree with the OP. The LS updates last for 2-4 weeks, so logging in for 30 mins a day will still let you experience the content and get the meta achievement. Also, if you want to play thru the regular content then play thru the regular content. Nobody is saying you must play the LS events. There are plenty of days that I only play for 30-60 mins or none at all and I still get the metas every time.

Yea that price is absurd for 1 time use armor pieces. It’s like Anet listened to use about being able to buy pieces rather than whole armor sets at a time, but didn’t do the math right on the costs. 1/6 of an armor set for 1/2 the price….or 1/3 the armor set for the price of a whole set. Not making sense to me. Either 200gems a piece or make them multi-use like the Zenith skins.
As I posted on Dulfy: In comparison to other games $5 for a single piece skin isn’t really out of line. Blizzard charges $15 for a single helm skin, SWTOR 1 piece starts at around $2.50, Rift close to the same, Tera as well is $6 or more.
Now, are these particular shoulders and gloves worth $5.00 (if you use that to get gems) each? That’s something that is a person to person thing to decide on.
Apples : Oranges
Gotta compare the prices of these to other GW2 gemstore items for a fair assessment.

Working hard = more rewarding. As I’ve said, I don’t mind a challenging and involved profession. I main an engi, and it’s a button-dancing good time. But its survivability is obvious to me. It seems like Ele has a lot of tools to use, they’re just not very strong. And to make any one type decent you have to trait the crap out of them.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I mentioned that many LS leave only remnants that are used in future LS releases but don’t remain in the world at large. The refugees being a part of Canach’s actions in Southsun I’m aware of, however, I personally was not aware of their existence in Cragstead. That’s good to know. We need more of that.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I think this raises an interesting question, what do you consider to be “temporary” content, and what qualifies (in your mind) as content that occurs and drives the living story forward it makes sense to have go away, vs. that which remains?
There is a thin-line between content that drives the story forward, which if it lasts forever feels like the story never really progresses, vs. content that all goes away and ends up feeling like the world never actually progresses. Which releases, and more specifically what aspects of specific releases do you feel were successful balancing content that didn’t remain forever that progressed the story, while simultaneously leaving enough of a mark on the world to feel like the world is changing an evolving?
For me the original invasion of Southsun Cove was the best example of this, it had a lot of “story” style content that made sense to happen and then go away, and also left a lot of permanent experiences as a result of that storyline.
I also felt like the story content that came along with the Queens Jubilee and Clockwork Chaos did a good job of accomplishing this as well, though the outcome of the invasions don’t have enough impact on the world.
Another food for thought: Back when we invaded Southsun, we did a lot of “one time” events with the story content. Folks complained that one time wasn’t fair because they would miss it, so we extended the “story” style content so you now have 2-4 weeks to experience it. Does having it around this long take away from the sense of story progression, and make it feel like it should be permanent when it’s taken away? Or would simply having (using the TV analogy) something like TiVo that allows you to see the story you missed balance out this issue?
Southsun Cove is unique in that it introduced a completely new zone, something no other LS release has done. So while the story content disappeared after its run, the zone remained, allowing for further exploration and killing, but also as a platform for more content. And while there was a later LS release in Southsun, the area itself has never been filled in with DEs or hearts or anything other than gathering nodes to entice players back.
In contrast, releases like Jubilee, Bazaar, Gauntlet, Halloween, Christmas, F&F, and others came & went without leaving a trace of itself behind, save a continuation of the story with the next release. I can go back to Southsun and reminisce about defeating the karka invasion. But I can’t get back to the Molten Facility, Labrynthine Cliffs, Pavilion, or even Canach’s Lair.
My hope with the Tower is that its presence or at least affects on Kessex will remain for a while. Even if we have a LS dungeon in the tower and defeat Scarlet and the alliance and everything dies….that tower is still there. And the spores have done damage. I would expect to see those effects on the surrounding areas for a while, new DEs allowing players to clean up the area or help the Quaggan rebuild after the krait are driven off or something. And just because the dungeon story is complete, doesn’t mean it can’t be refilled with new monsters and a new explorable mode: (p1) ensure the tower is secure, discover some krait in hiding, kill ’em; (p2) escort Priory scholars deep into the tower for study, zaniness ensues; (p3) answer a distress call from a group of Scholars that have come in contact with an experimental strain of the toxin, forcing you and Marjory to rush to their aid, gather materials for an anti-toxin, and save them.
Things like this allow us to enjoy new permanent content where the temporary story-driven stuff was. I’d love to go back to the Labrynthine Cliffs. That place was awesome. And though the Zephyrs are gone, I’m sure those huts & some scaffolding remain. Expand the zone, give it new purpose, let us keep it clear of evil in hopes of the Zephyrs return.

Taking time to learn and master a profession I can do. Done it before. Doing it with a complex profession, even more fun. I just needed to understand what mechanics are used by Eles to achieve various results. Damage is always pretty obvious. It’s survivability and utility that are often nuanced. Seems the answers are: 20 water/20 arcane and take the time to L2P. Thanks for the info guys.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
So the answer would seem to be to either move those traits to other lines or make their functionality baseline for certain abilities, rather than just swapping around a few adept <- → master traits.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Not a big deal. I prefer Rocket Boots (with Rocket Kick) in my SD build anyway so I’ve got burn. Not being able to take IP I can trait for survivability now without feeling guilty. Now we won’t get roflstomped if we miss our burst.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Double-layered cooldown system being VERY complicated to use effectively, players face a steep and frustrating learning curve
This has always puzzled me. I’m a new ele, but what kept me from trying it for so long has been the attunement cooldowns. As an engi main, it just seems, well…unfair. Kit swapping with no cooldown vs attunement swapping with huge cooldowns. And long cooldown utilities to boot.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I main an Engineer, and it seems (at least from your viewpoint) that they are similar to Eles…driven by versatility. Engis can do it all. But their kit choice determines the damage identity, and the traits and utilities determine how much survivability and support they’ll offer.
One thing that confuses me about Ele is that many of their traits apply only when in a particular attunement. Which seems odd, considering the strength of Ele is to swap attunements often to fulfill various roles. That makes it seem almost elementary-simple: deal damage with air (single target, high crit) or fire (aoe, lotsa hybrid), heal/cleanse with water, mitigate or condition damage with earth. This makes me think that Ele is an attrition profession, being able to dish out high, variable damage, mitigate, and heal without having to escape or reset fights. Yet Ele is a cloth class with low HP and the damage output isn’t top tier. What am I missing?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Anet has stated that each profession is to be able to survive combat via their own unique style. Thieves, for instance, have high mobility and stealth to run away. Guardians have defensive boons to mitigate damage. Necros have a 2nd health bar and plenty of condition control to stand toe-to-toe in a war of attrition. These are things built into nearly every aspect of these professions. All guardians have their virtues, necros their DS, mesmers their clones, rangers their pets, etc. So…
What is the Elementalist’s niche for survivability? I’m new to this profession, but reading the forums and experimenting with traits, I’m having a hard time figuring it out. It doesn’t feel like there’s ready access to any particular method of survivability. I’m guessing a mis-moshed combo of auras, water-weapon heals, air swiftness, at least 1 Cantrip…?
I’d love a dev to explain their concept of Elementalists in combat. It would really help me understand how to build for survivability without having to sacrifice all my offense.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Can you link what you’re referring to?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Have you tried Conjure Lightening Hammer or Conjure Frost Bow? I’m leveling an ele (26 atm) and have been using them with ease. LH hits like a truck. I’ve got 5pts in Water for constant regen and then use either FB or LH in water attunement and it work great. We’ll see how this keeps up at later levels.
Are you WvW only?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I’m a bit late to the party, as I just don’ have the time to actively participate in this fantastic discussion. I’ve read some awesome ideas, some of which I’ve seen throughout the forums before, some of which are new thanks to this open collaboration.
My favorite LS release: it’s hard to nail down one, because the 3 I have in mind brought such great things. Namely, Bazaar and Southsun each brought us a new, well-designed area. Unfortunately, Southsun feels like it’s been forgotten and the Bazaar went away. But introducing new areas is so great. And the Tower shows that the LS can have a large impact on the topography of Tyria. I like seeing a world evolution from the LS. Despite the fact that I named 3, you can take away the same thing from them: a new zone or new look to an existing zone, opening up the world.
As for succeed/fail for DEs, I love the idea. And I think DEs need more focus. Everyone has said they want their hero’s impact felt. The DEs that we’ve completed throughout Tyria need to reflect our efforts, succeed or fail. I like the idea of focusing on a zone or 2 at a time and introducing new DEs based on a storyline:
- the centaurs, tired of the ongoing struggles with humans in Gendarren, have decided to go on an aggressive offensive, leading to new DEs and small changes in the zone
- Mt Maelstrom is becoming more active, spewing lava and noxious smoke. Help to push back rising destroyers, stop the flow of burning lava, fight the curious Inquest, discover that their experiments are behind the volcano’s activity, and put a stop to them.
- The Nightmare Court have gotten wind of Malyck’s existence and are pushing out through Caledon to find him and this other tree. Fight them off and work to discover and then conceal the location of the other tree.
I love the idea of having the success or failure of fights like Teq impact the zone. It gives the player a sense that what they do is actually important, rather than just another fight on a timer.
I’m glad the cadences of release and story are being looked at. Every 2 weeks is a bit fast but if the overall design of the LS and the achievements are going to be changed, then the problem might be remedied. It seems the general consensus is to reduce the grind of too many achievements for a meta reward. This will make every 2 week releases less daunting and alleviate the feeling of having to bang out the achievements right away. I know most people don’t want to feel left behind and I don’t like feeling like I have to join a zerg or champ train just to accomplish the meta in time.
The personal story was one of my favorite parts of the game. I say “was” because soon enough it ends and you simply get into the same Order/Pact story as everyone else. And despite the multiple-choice instances, it’s still the same story. If we could get some releases that add to our hero’s personal storyline, that’d be wonderful. Make them race-specific, just like the initial ones, but without attention to our Order/Legion/College/Cycle, etc. Let the choices we make dictate which storyline we go down. For instance, at a celebration party after the main storyline is completed, a messenger brings you a letter saying that you’re needed urgently in your home instance. Upon arrival, an altercation breaks out that forces you to make a choice (like save him or her, follow the courier or the soldiers, eavesdrop or capture and interrogate, etc) and the choice begins your choose-your-own-adventure storyline. The story will then unfold and be about you, feel personal, and be epic. It could reveal something about the hero’s past and eventually lead to an epic quest. Possibly even leading up to the next dragon we’ll have to take on.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
While I understand not wanting thieves to have to trait so heavily into initiative regen, it seems like the passive increase is simply making it easier to play thief, rather than requiring strategy to regain initiative. I’m anxious to see how this change affects builds. I can’t see may players taking initiative-gain traits if they only return 1, especially with the passive buff. So I’m hoping this means opening up builds for more variety.
As for Engineer, the Incendiary Powder movement is going to cause a big stink. I’d like to see an improvement to FT’s autoattack but I guess this patch is all about traits. The Transmute change is sweet, as is Elixir Infused Bombs. Making support Engi more viable I suppose. Maybe I’ll need to build a celestial gear set after all.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Using primarily conjure LH & FB, which weapon would you recommend using for leveling and dungeons?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Any of the Sylvari cultural weapons have an “earth” feel. Verdent or Warden.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I thought it was overpriced but I unlocked it with 25SP on my main. That’s it though. Can’t see the sense in doing so for my alts.
What bothers me is the steep cost potentially foreshadowing future new skills. Anet has said they plan to unlock all weapons and intro new skills. I’m hoping they won’t cost 25SP a piece for all my characters.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
First off, just because Engi is harder to use for you, doesn’t mean it’s a bad class. I main an engi and she’s a versatile powerhouse.
Secondly, I think the issue with Kessex right now is the scaling. Level 27 players aren’t used to having to condition cleanse often and will feel overwhelmed with all the vets and champs appearing due to the zergs. In a month when the zones calms down it will simply be a challenging zone and not so harsh. Personally, I look forward to leveling my alts there so it’s not so faceroll.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I’m kinda shocked it doesn’t reset. I figured with the addition of a 25pt Antitoxin Spray and the talk of future new skills for all professions, this would be a source of SP in addition to leveling. It’d be very helpful for people with multiple alts like myself.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I was mostly thinking about the 20s regen from being in water attunement. I’m low level, so I want to stay alive.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Decide if you want a culturally appropriate name first.
Each race’s name structure is different, and might help to shape your ideas.
What race are you?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Make them immune to non-targeted damage, but have all CC last 2x as long.
This way they won’t die from aoe and zerg cleaves but can still be dealt with in PvP. An aoe chill would affect them 2x as long but being caught in a meteor shower wouldn’t hurt them.
Thoughts?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Another think I noticed about those patch notes is the dates. May 11, 13, 25. Not this every 2-4 week thing. If there was a problem to fix, it was fixed. There are planned patch releases, and that I get. But often fixes don’t come until the next patch release, instead of hotfixes. I thought hotfixes were the MMO norm.
I played GW from just a couple months after release and well into EotN. It was amazing. And it had some faults, but I always felt that when a serious issue was revealed (OP builds, bugs, UI issues) they were fixed quickly. We’ve got lists of known bugs all over these forums that haven’t been addressed in months. Meanwhile, we get tooltip reskins.
Things like templates and free respecs came with time. So I give any company that. But what I hate hearing, especially from the devs of a game that’s supposed to be so ground-breaking, is that they can’t do something due to technical limitations. We can’t name our pets or stack 25+ conditions because of server issues. That seems like gross oversights. Many of the things mentioned above ring true for me. I’mnot much of a PvPer. But I did get into it in GW because there were so many types that it was refreshing and fun. I think Anet threw all their PvP eggs in one big WvW basket with GW2.
You want capes to not clip? They can’t even get cultural armor to not clip.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
(edited by Seras.5702)
Well, way back at launch (and eve since) people said they wanted more armors and that they’d be willing to buy them from the gemstore if they would simply give us more armors.
We should be more careful what we wish for.
I believe this was in contrast to them being hidden within RNG boxes. Sure, gem store purchases are better than RNG boxes, but I think most players would rather see new armors introduced as drops in actual gameplay. Still haven’t figured out why this concept isn’t being embraced by the devs.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Cool – was planning on doing that anyway for more frequent heals.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Simply putting each kit on its own cooldown would be a huge step in the right direction.
KR is more or less the same as the Ele’s 15pt traits, giving a bonus on attunement swap. I’m ok with that functionality, it just needs to be better implemented.
As for changing KR to act as our signets, it’s a neat idea but I think would be OP. We’re pretty balanced (imo) right now, but if you suddenly gave bomb kit a passive +crit% it’d break it. Right now, Juggernaut gives FT a passive +200 toughness…so that’s something?
I think, if anything, KR should be changed to GR (Gadget Refinement) and give each equipped gadget a passive bonus, essentially making them our signets.

Do the trait Inscription and Glyph of Elemental Harmony stack? Will casting it in water attunement net me 20s of regen for instance?
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
After my 5 in water, where should I trait? Air line gives me precision, which seems like the way to go for LH. But fire has the only conjure trait. That’s a necessary one I feel.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Engi are very trait dependent. Don’t get discouraged at low levels. And if you craft yourself to 30-40 you’ll have plenty of traits to make things like FT and bombs good enough. I will recommend though playing with everything (‘nades, bombs, FT, EG, pistol, rifle, etc) to get a feel for the playstyle of each. Engi is a dynamic profession and with no-CD kit swapping you’ll need to know what everything does and when to use it. Much like Ele.

If you’re running FT with Juggernaut, you’ve got at least 6 stacks right off the bat. Aside from chugging elixirs, if you rock 2x Sup Altruism Runes and a Sigil of Battle, you’ll get 6 stacks of might every time you swap into your MedKit while in combat. And if you’re taking HGH you’ve also got a minimum of 30% increased boon duration. So before even chugging an elixir you’ll have 14 stacks of might.

What kit is better than a utility that dazes for 3s and has a 3x confusion dishing toolbelt?
Serious question, not sarcasm. I’ve never run a perplexity build.

It’s ok. The mask is just another masquerade style thing. Not a creepy Halloween full-face mask. My burly norn looks ridiculous with it. When I saw the picture on the main site, I was expecting full-face creepiness. Doesn’t the pic look like it’s a full-face creepy doll mask? Nope….it’s not.
