i play necro and i LOVE IT. I have played it for 800+ hours. In Zergs necro is best with toooons of AOE. Every single staff skill is AOE aswell as wells for utility. But they lack moblity, so escaping is very hard, so therefor not that good for roaming

i mean… The only thing that really made a difference on condition necros now is burning. And thats not a HUGE buff. Before, necro was seen as a bad class, but now that we have burning its all of a sudden OP? I doubt burning is THAT good. But.. tbh, i think necro was kind of OP before. I have been a necro since around november last year and i always won 2v1 and sometimes 3v1 in PvP and WvW… Necro certainly was deadly before, if played right. The thing is as the OP say… More people play necro so we get noticed alot more now

Non… I want updates with some content in it. It doesnt matter if its one update every month… 1 update every 2 months. But this events keeps me interessted for like… 10-20 minutes and then im done with it.

Holiday events are fine, but not for regular updates

8 months after and we still dont have ANYTHING new in PvE except a new JP and fractals…

What i dont get is why people expect to get precursors from the forge. i got mine there, but i knew it was a risk. Like the OP said… The last straw for him was when he used all his gold in the forge without getting it.. My question is why?

I went for incinerator myself and i used 7 months… Thats simply because i took very slow as you are going to do. I played WvW (Even though i had 500 badges) and were just chillaxing with my guildies

There are certainly people that do it for this reason but saying that this is the only reason so strongly is just plain wrong. Many use skipping simply to shorten the dungeon run if they’re running for tokens/gold, nobody wants to waste time on useless mobs. You can’t call me bad if I run past, say, 2 necros and an ele in AC p3 just because they’re not worth killing.

You didnt get my point… As the OP says, he talks about the skipping in CoF p2. They can jump over a gate and skip the whole dungeon straight to the final boss. AKA, exploiting.

Skipping mobs im totally fine with, but skipping the whole dungeon like that is plain wrong

Dungeons ARE MADE to be completed, thats how you should do it. Skipping mobs is only for people that cant kill the mobs either because they have a bad build cough Zerk Cough and die, or because they just have problems dodging

I’m still at a far too low level to care about Legendary Weapons, but I am slowly but surely on my to get The Flameseeker Prophecies. I try to save as many materials that I think I might need and I am trying to get both my Tailoring and Weaponsmithing Crafting Skills up to max so I don’t have to care about levelling my craft when I start grinding for materials. Along the Flameseeker, I want to eventually get my hands on Infinite Light. It is not a Legendary, but an Exotic (which means the stats are no different). It has its own effect which I think matches the Legendary Shield and also matches my Guardian. If I manage to get The Flameseeker Prophecies, then I might try and get the other Legendaries as well, but only maybe, as it will be extremely time cunsuming and I might not end up using the others.

Thats a good plan! try to get map completion on the way to 80 aswell. I did not do that, so when i was 80 i had to run around in low level zones completing them.. It was a pain. Also, flameseeker and infinite light has to be my two favourite weapons in this game. I went for the dagger Incinerator, but still.. if i could use flameseeker or infinte light, i would have gotten them instead!

Ok so.. i watched a stream now, some guy were playing Gw2 and he had an Anet employee on his stream (Not sure who, since i joined the stream late) and they came into the topic necro and torment.

They started talking about terror and dhuumfire when the Anet guy said something along the lines of: “I don’t think torment is OP at all, but it is the combination of burning and terror that is”

Also, he stated that: “Necromancers got buffed in this patch, so they are now alot easier to do good with, maybe to easy. If the player is experiences, necromancer are very OP”

Someone asked HOW they are going to adjust necro’s and he answered: “We are going to adjust the damage terror does, since thats where they are OP because of all the fear they can apply. Also, we don’t want to change the core of necromancer like bleeds, because we dont want to ruin the main builds”

Again, i have no proof of this, but it is true.. believe me or not, but expect a terror nerf

Perhaps. But dear god, not for 8000. More like 50,000. Yes, I am serious. Legendaries should be legendary. There is already way too much of them in game at the moment for the time GW2 is live. IMO way too many people expect to get their legendary NOW. I dont get what is wrong with long (and I mean VERY long) term goals. If you are not willling to get that far than your are not “legendary” enough. Its just a kitten skin, not something that will make you overpowered.

Excacly… Precursor are what makes legendaries hard to get. i was so lucky i got mine, but still… Even if i still needed my precursor i wouldnt want this to happen. You KNOW that alot of people are missing the precursor only. If this happend for 8 points, everyone would have one

Kind of… yea, they did, but… I feel that i survive alot more on the frontline with my necro than i do with my warrior (Tanky hammer build)… Even though i have no escapes, i have insane life siphon, 31k HP, AOE blindess, death shroud… i just feel more tanky with my necro

But your right.. Almost all frontline players are warriors or guardians

its not a Permanent dungeon, so in 2 weeks time we dont have it anymore, so no.. the JP does, but thats like a one time thing

IMO, it looks like to much… Also, i have never been a fan of the CoF gear, and this reminds me to much of it

First of, i love this game and i have been doing it since realease, but i dont know how much longer that will stay.

Im kind of done with PvE (Already have a legendary and done every aspect of it) so… Now i really love WvW! I find it super fun and im building my way up to a commander tag. But with the recent WvW match up we have been fighting FoW and Vabbi 2 times in 3 weeks. This match up is horrible, we have like 95% of the points all the time, and we can even take stonemist without seeing an enemy.

But enough about that, and lets get into the point.

So, Anets patches… i know i shouldnt complain that we are getting free patches every 2 weeks AND IM NOT! Im just saying that i would much more want a patch every 2 months, but that has good content in it.

What we have seen now from release to now has just been some events that gives us a new dialouge with a already existing character.. (yes, i know we have gotten more, but nothing really good if you know what i mean)

These events are good for halloween, christmas and other holidays, but not for this game updates. I think im talking for the majority of the players when i say we want good contnt updates.

Fractals has been last and only “good” update we have had. Now, we are just getting some new mini game that will keep us interessted for 20 minutes and then we are bored of it.

these updates, even though its permanent is not going to keep us interested playing more than 20 minutes. It will be just like keg brawl. People play it for 20 minutes and never again.

Happend on RoF today. It was like 4-5 people from the same guild standing there AOE speed buffing. They was there for like 30-40 minutes not doing anything else. They were laughing and calling people stupid etc. Stuff like that kitten es me of

Next week i will be attempting the CoF p1 fast run with my new glass cannon build. This time however i will take 3 berserker necromancers 1 guardian and 1 mesmer… since this seems to be the “necromancer” equivalent to the best “warrior” setup at the moment, as in 3 warriors 1 guardian 1 mesmer.

Sorry, but how the hell is a guardian good in a cof group? 4 warriors 1 mesmer/3 warriors, 1 thief 1 mesmer is still the fastest setup.

^ This… a guardian will just slow you down. Take 4 necro and 1 mesmer. Dont forget you are attempting to see how fast a NECRO group can do it

I like it, BUT… If Anets idea of a new cool and exciting boss fight is “Lets just put AOE all over the floor” then they have done something wrong… They should learn from the legend of zelda, seriously.

The bosses takes like all from 3-8 hits or something (Non of this HotW way to much hp kitten) and the bosses are FUN to fight

if you SERIOUSLY is that dumb you can run into a wall FIVE times in a row… Oh god. The wall i sstationary, just run around it? This is as kitteneeing a guy run into a wall IRL just to get up and do it 4 more times

Legendary = Exotic stats, yea. And if you plan to change stats you have to transmute it, no other way.

but seriously, going full zerker is stupid.. You limit yourself to do CoF only, 20+ fractals, arah, new content anything… You will have a hard time. PVT aint bad, if it was healing power stats i understand, since most classes dont need it.

This event was long a extremely boring to start with… Now its not boring anymore, its undoable! Thats how bad it is

Probably lower the DS damage.. I heard people hitting for 9-10k. Thats like 10k DPS right there, and dont forget fear and burning aswell. If something needs fixing thats it. I do not want to play necro if its look upon as freaking OP

I have tried drawing my weapon and i have to do it like 3-4 times before it gets fixed.. but oh well ;P Lets hope they fix it soon, but i doubt it

So, i completed my incinerator yesterday (Finally, after 7 months) but sometimes it bugs out.

The arm is supposed to be on fire, and it is.. sometimes. Like 40% of the time i use it, the hand is not on fire. not a big deal, but i prefer it if the fire was there all the time

Have you completed the new scavanger hunt yet? That one grants you 5 skill points when you complete it. Also, fractal is a great way to get them. fractals is great XP aswell as the fractal relics you can BUY skill points from one of the golems

Its about RNG and how nice it has to be, if you are into zelda speedrunning you know RNG can screw a whole WR run over, so speedrunners listen to this song everytime they come to a RNG part. I listen to that one, and got spark second try… Its like.. Its like Zommoros could hear it :o
