I wouldn’t call it lazy, but rather technical limitations.
For some reason, the GW2 engine can only display a limited number of things at once. Hence we have disconnected zones, each with its own loading screen, unlike WoW, which could load an entire continent at once.
The same applies to WvW. Considering the amount of detail, the size of the map was always going to be limited. They must have realized that this map-size wasn’t going to suffice for entertaining more than 100 or so players per fraction, so they added the Borderlands maps.
Also, more than other MMOs, GW2 requires a solid FPS and lag-free environment in order to be played correctly. Another reason to reduce the taxation of client systems to a bare minimum.
I dont see it as a technical limitation. Other maps are bigger for example. And I actually want a reduction in size for some keeps. But maybe more towers/keeps added and more useful space around instead of mountains and such you only jump over.
As the title says, Miyami is missing. Either just plain missing or a guardian moved her.
Ouch thats a pretty nasty one. Basicly it can affect all radius skills. On the other hand, a Norn might also be easier to hit then with a bigger radius size?
I dont get why damage gets recalculated. Seems to be quite silly and wasteful. The condition damage should be applied only once and then run its cause. I have a feeling the server recalculates the damage at each tick.
Agree, the maps are small. Some keeps overly big. Specially SMC. And the 3 copies of the same map for borderlands is outright boring. DAoC did alot better in this regard.

Some runes are drop or dungeon only. The runes you mention applies there.

I tried test it, and it doesnt seem to work.
I have been at 0 health like 100 times now lol. Always happens in fall damage.
The entire WvW zones got huge problems like this. Treb/catapults from unreachable safezones that applies immunity to damage for the players. But also the concept of shooting between keeps/towers. The borderland maps are specially messed up.
Most badges are lost while moving. Doing defence or sieges where you are more stationary they usually pop up like crazy around you.
And no ETA on when its fixed. Maybe next week? :P
The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

I prefer the DAoC method. Loading them outside and inc range as well. I rather lag and see something than die to something I cant fight, see or target.
The most silly part is that Exotic lvl80 armour clips with exotic lvl80 weapons.
I think all guild emblems can only be the default one? Kinda silly.

Oh yes! Happens extremely often. Both PvP and PvE. I´m taking a semibreak from PvP until they fix it.
You forgot stealthhack, flyhack, speedhack etc. Funny thing is alot of people think nobody notice if they only add 10-25% to their basespeed for the speedhack.
Teleport hacks are very widespread. Also speedhacks seems extremely popular. Only a few people pick the flyhack tho.
A mesmer using teleport hack can get everyone else in without they cheat.
Society is active 24/7, even in your own country. People got evening or even nigthshifts at work. So this will always a be a complain because there will always be someone not sleeping when you are. Hence capping your keeps and orbs with 10-20 people.
He basicly aint there and you fall through the floor.

Why are you using karma/badge gear?
It is a hack. Not a bug or server glitch. Hackers are ruining WvW for a lot of people. Every night I’ve played we have had hackers killing our siege weapons or capping our supply camps.
This ^^. So many exploits out now and people got no morale problem using them apperrently.
There is an exploit documented in another thread that explains how he does it.
I like to see new and better keeps/towers honestly. And the large keeps/SMC is simply too big.
I would also like to see guild emblems on guards when a certain upgrade is reached.
I think when the exploits of ground targetting to hit walls/lord, retaliation, pull enemy etc is fixed. Then defending will be alot better. Right now defending is really not worth it.
The skins issue is really anoying. And I wonder if the intention to get anything from the base 400 crafting skin is to go crazy with like 20 destroyer lodestones on top of what you normally use, just for the skin.
Zerging is not an exploit. The retaliation shield in a zerg is. Or retaliation as such. ArenaNet is working on a fix I think.
Man, at what time did you take that screenshot? I’m on SF and that pie chart is depressing to see. It looked like we had a good share of territory when I logged off last night.

We already seen the playervideo of the speedhack, screenshots of the flyhack.
I wont post a link, I already submitted it to AreanNet. But on youtube you can now find a video with the tools used for it.

I just wish they fixed all the speed, wall, orb, stealth hackers. Its killing the enjoyment of WvW very fast.
Defence should always be in a btter position than attackers.
Well it was the other way around normally. So its nice for a change.
With that in mind, working on nigth and dat crew since I am EU. Yesterday was the biggest epic battle I have had sofar in GW2. 12 hours of straight massive towerdefence at Redlake and Bluebriar. Fully upgraded towers that at last got overrun by the 2 other servers. And then they took the next keeps in line as next defence. Truely epic and really my hat of for them. They was so determined they took all the time needed to reach that goal and drive us away.
I’m happy for the link Sera gave, shows us on video its possible and we aint isnane, seeing ghosts or just whine when we state it happens.

The speed “feature” using stealth, teleport and other skills need to be tweaked in my view. They can move above 5 times the speed of normal people. And its always a free escape too. Not to mention the rapid movements across the map thats possible this way.

The skill is broken, it should not be there. I have been Moa’ed already over 25 times today. It seems it gets spammed whenever its there, and its 10seconds of free time for the Mesmer to try kill you.
Its so idiotic.

I agree the amount of pets is ridicilous. 8vs8 turns into 25vs 25.

Needs something more to spice it up a little. Right now it’s either zergvzerg or plavervdoor. Feels more of an extension of wvw than something stand alone.For 1 day battles that’s why. When people start upgrading and spending actual money making things harder to cap, this won’t be the case. Tactics will be needed to start capping things. For fun during one of the matches for maguuma, one of our players dumped a ton of gold into upgrading a tower we had in the enemy territory, and they couldn’t cap it. Both sides were trying at the same time and failing. They probably could’ve used siege or some other tactics to get it but didn’t, because they ran out of time. With week long battles things will get more interesting.
Rotating servers or easy nightcappings doesnt make upgrades more worthwhile.
I died/downed countless times to retaliation alone. I dont know what the counter should be for it besides wait. But what happens to you while you wait? And what happens if you already launched your attack and the guardian clicks on signet of judgement?
Also I seen people trying to catch treb fire with retaliate. Go figure…
