It doesnt proc at the 60% rate. thats for sure. I also wonder if there is a cooldown. But for me its more than 1 in 30 .
Happens for me as well in alot of different positions.
The official answer is the same as for portal bombs I assume. So to cut it short:

I might play it abit for the PvE. But if nothing changes. Aka the game engines lack of ability to render characters when there are too many (What Anet calls a viable tactics for players to use) or all the extremely cheating with flyhacks, speedhacks, teleport hacks, clipping hacks, stealthhacks and so on. Then I wont be doing any sPvP or WvW.
And I certainly wont buy any expansions or gems in a broken game.
As it is already my ingame time dropped to maybe 30mins a day.

Camps got a 5min timer after being taken. Thats why you see 0 damage I guess.

I prefer laghell than not seeing 50 people on the map attacking me.

If you have someone who’s willing to “hop” server for a day and whisper me on Gomly or Pisbin then we’ll see what we can do internally until A’net deal with it.
If that isn’t an option then let me know what server you are on and i’ll hop over and speak to you myself.
While not important on the server as such I am part of one of our larger alliances and in a notable guild so we may be able to do “something” about it until a proper solution from A’net crops up.
Like I said, we don’t want cheaters on our server. It’s not good in the spirit of the game and it brings our whole server down. That’s a label we want to avoid so i’ll do what I can.
I am playing on FA. And a couple of the IOJ people cheated outright. When mentioning it another person on FA says he know how they do it and he does it himself.
People aint even scared of bannings because right now ArenaNet seems to have zero control or logging abilities for these exploit. They first need to close them and log it before they can ban people. But since almost all classes got different teleport skills and speed increases. It gotta be a nightmare.
Bow is AoE basicly and only really useful against a zerg.
Yep, been happening on and off for some time. I guess its when they restart the guild server. The roster is usually also purged.

The post screenshot/video is also a lame excuse. just search on youtube and you find plenty. We cant all run fraps recordign while hovering over the printscn key just to please you or argument about exploits.
Been over a month with blatant exploits. And its gone from a few using it to huge amounts. If you cant beat them, join them…
I basicly stopped with WvW and sPvP.
Ranges are utter bugged right now.
Thief shortbow shoots quite abit further than pistols. yet same got 900 range (Cept for cluster bomb). Warriour longbow with 900 range can shoot even further, specially the 1 key skill. The saem skills also sometims applies bleed, yet it shouldnt.
I wouldnt be surprised if close to all skills are broken.
Go Mesmer, its not even a question. Thief is one of the worst in WvW due to the HP pool and limited functions. in sieges/defence all you can really do is runnign around trying to find a place where your slow moving cluster bomb can hit.
Condition damage is linaer to condition stats. only way to increase conditions damage is by increasing the stat.
Anet said condition damage aint working as it should.
In DAoC the keeps and towers got weaker in terms of guards and such the more you owned.
The orbs concept is also horrible broken and making sure WvW stays dead.

Not to mention the bugs in cultural weapons and skins. For example Asuran tier 2 is sylvani weapons.
I agree with global servers.
I am EU playing on NA server. When I wake up or login, the entire WvW is either lost or owned already. Usually lost.
Slow reaction time kills MMOs. Ask Bioware.
As much as it pains me to say it, WvW is heading into TORtanic territory with each passing day the glaring issues go unfixed.
Fully agree. Its also now a month will full hacks and exploits in WvW with nothing fixed. And the usage of them is increasing. This again kills regular people from WvW.
But on the other hand, it did fix WvW queues for us….

One side will always outnumber the other.
The engine right now is just a fail with larger battles. Even in PvE. A good example is the claw of Jormag in PvE. There are 80-120 people, but you never see more than 30-40 nomatter how long you stay.
And its getting so bad you can actually run past one anothers zerg or group before each one loads.
I went berserker, because without the burst damage you picked the wrong class. Knights dont protect against condition damage either.
Not to mention other classes do condition damage twice as good as theives.
Mesmers is currently the most OP class. They got alot of good utility and alot of clone/stealth. Plus they got around 50% higher base HP than you.
Not feeling the Thief in PvP: Far too focused on cookiecutter builds.

I fully agree. The thief just seems to be halfmade and very repetitive. One of the main reasons I suspect is that we got the lowest HP pool that kills alot of options. And the wierd selection of boring utilities.
At home we got 2 gamign PCs next to one another. My GF plays a Warriour and I play a Thief.
Using the mist testing grounds to test ranges and skills. I found out there can be huge difference between two 900 range skills. Also some skills apply conditions they shouldnt.
Pistols got the shortest range. Shortbows got considerable longer range. Longbows on the warriour however got the longest range of the 3. Specially the 1 key skill. its basicly 1200 range instead of 900, plus it adds bleeding now and then.
But why can 900 range mean 4 completely different things?
The entire concept with portals and teleports etc is something Anet really didnt think through. And they will keep being exploited until removed.
I just wonder what they all thought when the concept was up at some meeting. It simple logic that such tools will be massively expoited.
On the other hand, they have zero control of client manipulating server data for whatever hacks and exploits. So why should this be different. We really talk MMO basics 101 in terms of what not to do.

Thief seems to be a half finished class. Im a person that only plays one character. But if Arenanet gave me the option to just change the class and nothing else so to say. I would do it in a heartbeat. If I knew what I do today, then I would never have picked Thief.
And I am not talking about bandwagon mentality. As said by another one, thief is repetitive and very limited.
Towers are usually useless. You either use them to treb another tower/keep (bad game mechanics) or simply move on. Only upgraded towers are usually when you beatdown your enemy on the field and needs a place to afk or farm badges.
The whole thing turns back to that lords and guards are too weak. Plus some design issues and placement issues with towers/keeps. And the lack of bonus or showoff by upgrading them.
Main problem is condition damage is broken. It cant crit and it doesnt scale with power or weapon strength. It only scales linaer with condition.
Plus you can both outheal/regen or remove conditions to counter it.
I am a glasscannon so to say, and I dont feel I have any problems in dungeons really. You do need to know that you cant play Rambo and let the warriour/guardian/necro/mesmer/pets tank instead.
Note that sigils do not stack when using 2 weapons. They basicly work only for that weapon. So if you sue mainhand then the mainhand sigil works. And offhand for offhand sigil.
Its not a bug. it would be unfair for 2H weapons if it was so.
I would note that I do very well in WvW. But only with my current build. My GF plays a warriour, and I tried that abit too. And there is just so much more viable options to go. But again, the base HP there is also almost 75% higher plus some extremely good utilities. It seems to me that our base HP is the key to the lockdown to certain builds.
I have a very hard time seeing other builds as viable than the one I am running. So I want to hear if someone else can enlighten me. I tried calculate and test damage. And I simply cant find a better alternative to the full berserker build.
The Thief is one of tree classes with the lowest HP pool. And there is quite a big jump up to the medium pool, since its much closer to the high pool. The pools are 10805, 15082 and 18372.
Condition builds seems to be nonviable in WvW. We all know the conditions can easily be removed(even AoE style removed), secondly regeneration, heals etc can easily outheal the condition. Lastly the skills applying condition damage is very limited.
Anet has mentioned tho that condition damage is a problem. And when they (maybe) fix it we might see whole new builds.
Toughness dont really work either since you need to sacrifice something else. Not to mention the issue with the lowest HP pool again.
So is everyone running full berserker until something else is really viable? Or is there another solution?
59% critrate, 280 crit damage(150+110) and 2275 power seems to be it. Kill before you get killed.
Ankle shots says it got a 60% chance to apply a 3 seconds cripple on a critical with 10seconds colddown. The cripple is 1 second instead of 3.
If the grub in EB is bugged too. What will they do?!!!
The weapons are simply Sylvani, not Asuran.
Guards shouldnt be like lords. But there is a huge problem with guards and lords. Some people can even solo 3-4 veteran guards alone.
I think some of the chance should be to let guards be lvl82 as default (The current upgraded level.) and level 85 as upgraded. Added to that should be some kind of semi champion at the gates. Also more guards added around the keeps and towers. Maybe more kinds as well. Finally the lord needs a good beefup.
The problem as I see it is 5 people can basicly wipe a fully upgraded keep. That number needs to be higher.
