No. It does not scale them down in the select. That is independent of your characters Lenght.

Charr is too huge in select, scale them down like the Norn.
This has been posted on forums before (by me and others) so please, please…

We must be able to move while using the Auto, like every other class, It is horrible beeing locked into a single spot!

I know that hair looks abit like it, but It’s not as good. I could only use it 4 a few days! Then i wanted scarlets hair again. I Suggest Anet includes it in the next “new hair update”

Lets Say i went to make a sylvari with Racial armor. I might like the medium one but not the heavy. So I’ll just Wear the medium one even though i’m heavy!

You can already make clones of many NPC’s. Even important NPC’s like Eir stagalkin and Zoja.
That is not a problem. Rather Anet should be glad we like there character and not keeping their looks to themselves

Take scarlet for example. Will her awsome hair never be seen in game ever again??

Though i remeber when this game was announced Anet said we were gonna be able to look like pretty much all the NPC’s.

I think that What I’m trying to say is that they should scale them down to the same size as the Norn in the Select. Cuz why’d you leave the charr 100% while scaling down the Norn? Just ugly

It’s not about having them scaled to each other. It’s about not having to back 2 meters to be able to see your whole character

This is a obviously something that’s not right and cant be that difficult to fix, the charr are Norn size x2, unbelievable…. make is same size as the norn in the select please.

Yes, it’s all in one colour and which ever colour i choose,the plate will be darker. I know it’s different material and all but that’s just horrible. If i wanna be dyed white, you should be able to tell i’m white even at night

Hello, this is the thread where we’re gonna talk about wierd things happening to armor colors in different lights. Let me show you what i mean:

this is my SYLVARI GUARDIAN. his shoulders, helm and gloves looks gray in the light but it is colored white. the rest of the gear does not look gray in the light but is colored with the exact same dye..
Anyone else find it disturbing when colors change from what you acctualy coloured it?

Our technology is ancient compared to what we see in the world; just look at scarlets minions.
When you guys add stuff in the future, make it more like that technology!

I start this thread to express a thought i’ve had for a long time about the way changes and balancing works right now.

So far the devs have been working very carefully With changes. They poke little bits here and there and analyzes the function of a potential change..
Before release i was a part of another big game where ballance and changes happened really fast! The devs would release a patchnote saying: we’re gonna change this and this to that character. Then change happened and if it was good they kept it that way and if it was not, they changed it/changed it back already in the next patch.

IT would be rly satisfying to see changes/ballancing happen faster Then now. IT makes me sad to go on the forums and read about how all the classes thinks they’re the worst and never gets any attention.

Does Battle of Claw Island work now? I’ve done it 3 times til’ the “hold out part”; after that it refuses to progress. Does it work now?

Personaly, I play mmorpg game with a very cosmetic adjustment. What is important to me is that i look good, after that i can start getting good.

Right now i feel that there’s too little options to choose from. It’s also very important that your outfit fits your characters personality, this applies mostly to the human of course;
For example, a Noble female light armor might not want to show too much skin. Most light armors for female is only covering the most private areas and nothing else. Still i have no other choice than to wear these outfits for my Noble who should probably look more like Countess Anise and Lord Faren to be honest.

So i suggest that we add more cultural armors for all the races.
This concept also applies to the profession you are. As an engineer i font want to dress in scales or tight leokard. I want things that look more… Engineery. This applies to all the professions. Take a look at your concepts for GW1 armors. There’s alot of inspiration for you to get from there.

lesson 1: don’t close yourself to only 1 build, ranger needs very specific builds for every type of role that you could have on wvw.

I carry 5 sets with me all the time, zerker with scholar for pve, for wvw I carry soldier with scholar, soldier with dolyak, soldier with melandru and apothecary with undead.

for 1vs1 you want high regeneration and condition damage. (apothecary set)

for up to 10vs10 you have room for high damage sniping. (soldier/scholar set)

for 15vs15+ you want to have lots of armor. (soldier/melandru or soldier/dolyak if your party has a tons of condition cleansing)

for weapons, in 1vs1 sword mainhand is the choice, for offhand choose dagger, axe or warhorn, other set that is good is axe/torch or axe/axe, maybe use a shortbow or greatsword depending on what you are built.

for small teams I like longbow and sword/warhorn, longbow has barrage which is good as a soft cc and with rapid fire you can help sniping a low life target, sword is great for mobility (don’t use auto target) and warhorn has a blast finisher for regroups.

for big scale fighting, longbow and greatsword, longbow has same purpose as above and greatsword is awesome to push in the zerg because of the 3rd autoattack evade, also has a leap in (or out) skill for mobility, a block to survive a couple more seconds and a high damage hit on skill #2.

I remember reading a patchnote recently, also watching a live stream recently; that we’re suppose to be able to transfer skins from PVE to PVP.

in gw1 we got a new background every time an expansion come out and it stayed on that until the next one, i loved the first one from prophecies and factions too but didn’t like nightfall and eye of the north was ok but i always wanted the first one by the ascalon camp fire with all my characters standing around it back

I’ve grown tired of the concept art background in the character select. Acctualy it’s realy turning me off. I would like to see a character select like in Guild Wars 1.

For example, when choosing your character in Guild Wars Eye of the north you where hit by a beautiful background with your character standing on a mountain in a snowstorm with this epic eye of the north theme song.
You could also turn the camera in other directions than just spinning your character around.

Also, it would be great if we could see our characters backpacks. They are just as much a part of the characters appearance as the helm.

these 2 quests are bugged very often. I have 7 lvl 80:s.
2 times i’ve seen Battle of Claw island bugged. First of the generals never started to talk in the beggining (happened 3 times!) and the second time nothing happened at “rally in the courtyard” when the dragon decides to land.

retribution bugges out when treahearne refuses to walk up the stairs.

She was easy with thief. But thats probably cuz it wasn’t just me and Logan. I had Quin there aswell

I see this everytime there’s alot of people. (like pink dolls..) Has this anything to do with culling beeing removed?

anyway it’s horrible, how do i fix?

On a side note, the game is pretty good honestly from an aesthetic and action standpoint. If people took the time to just look at the different professions mechanics or just looking at the environment, you’d appreciate the work that was put into the game.

The Ranger’s mechanics with the animal spirit animation from the Ranger’s melee attacks are cool, but I also like just looking at the engineer’s flamethrower attack. It has a pretty sweet effect to it.

I’m in love with the Animal Attacks that a ranger can do. All of them belongs to the melee weapons.
