I kill bad reapers on my d/p thief all the time.
Thief is one of the best counter to necro so i hope you don’t need the necro to be bad for killing it.
no mobility, die in 1v1 situation vs meta roamers and vulnerable to focus in team fight (+ the fact your support ele has to be good and doesn’t try to heal you when you are in shroud 4Head).
In fact the only thing necro bring on the table is his dps, tone down his dps and necro will be a garbage class because he does not have 2 moas Kappa
Warrior need buff in term of sustain then he will join the power creep club.
In power creep extension every specs are fine…
I think you should drop GS for Dagger/WH for more reliable dps, mobility and CC with a air sigil (instead of leaching) on dagger (+ more corrup on dark pact).
The rune is not really good too, you could try soldier rune for a better sustain vs condition and support in team fight or a dps rune.
With your amulet you have more than 100% crit chance in shroud but you can already achieve this with an amulet with 0 precision if you use decimate defenses over chiling victory (executionner’s Scythe into Soul Spiral => lot of chill bolt => 25 stacks of vulnerability), so you could try valkyrie amulet, it will provide more burst in shroud with the ferocity.

Strategy approved vs an afk team. SeemsGood
if you stay in first half of legendary there is close to no queue but games are really poor now because some bad players finally reach legendary.
If you go too high in the league there is no one to play with and if you take your time you have the risk to be pair with awfull players and finally have to fish when your MMR is top of your division to win games.
Clearly you have to play a class that can carry more than your DH or Reaper (2 class which are weak to focus), like scrapper and rotate for your team because they will not do it.

Wanderer/Curse and Mercenary/Spite are both really good, but you need to adapt your utilities every game to your opponent team.
You will miss the 5k hp of the mercenary vs high condi pressure or cancerous meta comp with high sustain but Wanderer/Curses is really powerfull i remember some games where Soul Spirale in a poison cloud just kill 3 guys in a team fight support ele included
In term of utilities shout are really good because instant when signet are telegraphed so only use plague signet vs high condi team (2 necro + rev condi or mesmer), “suffer” almost every game because it is one more source of chill and a good dispell in team fight, “rise” is a must have vs power rev and for sustain in general, poison cloud vs high sustain team (except on foefire because mid point is too large) and vs druid and finally “boon corruption” because it is a powerfull spell for killing focus target.
In conclusion, you will never have good mobility or good sustain as a necro player but if your team care about leaving you some free cast frame you can do a lot of damage in team fight.
So, can we get GW3 now, with only necromancers in it?

All games are carried by rev/scrapper/ele but sure the sponge ping pong ball reaper is the OP guy out there.
Reapers are hard counter by ele since start but there still are players crying about it /facepalm
PS: Dojo the adpet trait transfers only 3 conditions + plague signet is not a dispell it is a transfer if nobody is in range or if the target is immune to condition you transfer nothing
Keep crying about Reaper It will leave a guy in game with no dispell and unable to focus a reaper who has no sustain. What will happens when you will face the real cancer of this meta?

It is ok a team just need an ele to neglect reapers in teamfight…
Corruption and dmg is the only thing necro brings to the game, reaper has no sustain and no support.
It is funny when u start going higher in the league u can do the same kind of screen with 5 Rev…
In low tier Reaper is a good class because players can’t deal with condi but then aurashared ele + 2 rev + scrapper + 1 reaper kitten everything out there.
Players are still crying about reaper but 2 rev supported by an ele is far over the top.
But it is arenanet balance (or lack of balance), 8 months of rev outshining all the other dps/roaming classes and ele support being the OP support out there is perfectly normal
A good cleric/mender ele can completely carrys team fight for his team and so the game making their mates really hard to kill.
It becomes funny if they have also a druid with S&R…
The ele is the only one fulfilling this role and he is clearly too powerfull in it, the problem it is the only role left to him. #balance?
Like sire Revenant good dmg/high mobility/good sustain => 2 Rev in each team everytime.

Well.. I do hope you didn’t tl;dr my entire post. I said specifically that we should nerf the corruption abilities. I didn’t say anything about nerfing the damage of the class or anything along those lines.
What about no? If you nerf corruption abiltity it is free space for kitten spam boon party.

you should monitor amulet with healing power it makes some classes stupidly tanky when it is useless to other classe.
I don’t really think any amulet should have 1000+ healing power.
Ele does not dmg but they make their team closed to unkillable, Ele is the class which brings back season 1 boringness there.
And they did not even meet the cancerous clerical ele, the balance rollface healer that is stack in duo even by e-spuurt team…
Need more clerical Ele stacking, the new way to grind the league is to have 2 of this lame bot in ur team and watch them rollface theri heal, buff and dispell

Not really…The winning team will get a pip so unless the loss is one sided I don’t see the point tbh. IMO, above 400+ losses shouldn’t result in pip loss.
Players have to try hard into win games and not loosing above 400+.
I don’t care about grinding shiny butterfly wings, i want matchs which worth to be played.
loosing pips when you loose a match is the only way to make your league position relevant in term of skill/gameplay/teamplay.

They have buffed the corruption because even if necromancer was the best class for it, it was really weak vs the boon spam you can do with some classes like Ele/scraper/druid…
Spamming boon is not supposed to counter corruption it is the just the opposite.
Actually Necro is force to play condition or hybrid condi/power because reaper shroud is mandatory (stab/CC) and Deathly Chill >>> Blighter’s Boon (useless) & Reaper’s Onslaught (half useless).
The 2 specs (condi or hybrid) have really good pressure but also have the same lacks which are the core necromancer’s problems, low mobility and no active defense; so necromancer because it is a good DPS and low defense class is still the first focus in team fight.
In conclusion, Necromancer is stronger than before HoT and a bit stronger with last patch but because every classes out there are power creep with amphet we are exactly in the same spot.

Necromancer. Necromancer was one of the easiest classes to counter. Mainly because they liked mobility and CC protection. So focusing on them first was done often. With HoT you gave them mobility, CC protection, more CC, more conditions, and finally more life force regen.
HoT give mobility to necro? Sorry i did not get the memo… Necro is still the first guy focus in teamfight because reaper do not bring the evade/block/immune skills to counter hard focus or the mobility to escape it. The only players crying about necromancer are the ones who leaves them freecast and so deserves to die to condi.
As a necro player i can tell you necro staff is an efficient boring weapon.
reaper and necromancer in general is still vulnerable to team focus because he does not have block/immune/dodge skills.

i did not say that necro is the best condition class, he is far from that for a long time now; but this is the only class that have been forced to play condi recently.
And i don’t think the recent buff to the corrupt will change that and there will still be very few necro in sPvP top tier.
