Totally agreed…or they could somehow program it so that they can drop only to people who actually do have custom arenas?

I can say for sure that Charr look simply EPIC on heavy armor, so I would suggest you to make him a Warrior, but also, you can come up with fantastic mix’n’matches for light armors too!
I suggest you bring your charr to bank/crafting station, go in the wardrobe tab (where you can see EVERY skin in game) and play a little with style.
Nothing forbids you to make two Charr anyway, one ele and one war

I lose will to play PvP every match to be honest, but that’s not just because of the language, as I “shield” myself carefully before entering PvP.
1 Made a specific chat tab where hiding everything but party chat, so I can’t see map/say/team (Can’t work well if you soloQ) 2 Invisible mode to prevent whispers. 3 Turn around after every kill so that if someone says something in “say chat” I don’t see it. I simply don’t care anymore to hear how noob I am for being able to win a 1v1.

You could always buy a secondary gear (With dungeons tokens) and give it another set of runes (or orbs if you want to keep cheap?) until the bug is fixed (so that you won’t have to buy another set of Perplexity), then salvage the secondary gear with a BL salvage kit to retrieve the new runes (if you got runes) and sell them when Perplexity will be fine again. Not the best one, but still some cheaper solution.

Not sure if this is just an oversight from my side and it’s actually meant to be this way, but on my guardian, as soon as I finished Personal Story, Living Story Episode activated on its own. When trying to quit it, it simply reactivates automatically the same moment. If I activate a different episode and then quit it, automatically again, Point of No Return will activate. Thus, I am condemned to see that “Arcana Obscura” ad on my UI (since apparently the “hide story” is just for the Personal story and won’t work for the Living story ( unless part of the bug? )
Or I am simply meant to be forced to re-do the last episode on all of the characters on which I will complete personal story?

Copper is what drains from me any will to play Silverwastes…honestly…
Every time I witnessed it fail, it wasn’t because AoE, because heal or whatever, it was because it’s hp was going down SO SLOWLY that time simply was over before people could kill it. Spam the least damaging possible autoattack on an uber upscaled boss and expect it to succeed. Before the “no aoe” nonsense it was basically impossible to fail that one boss…

The only mentality that should be changed is “I’d rather have a few people dying for me than running 10 seconds from a WP”, which is very well showed at Golem Mark II, possibly the closest WP to a fight ever and people lying dead on the ground till final chest.

I just throw rares (I earn playing, not bought off TP) when I am not in need of ectos and feel to test my luck a little. That one exotic is sure more valuable than selling the 4 ugly rares anyway (most of the time)

If you give us bobbleheads again, mercy give us an option to disable it after some minutes…it was fun for the first 10-20 mins, then it started to seriously disturb my eyes and give me headaches, making me unable to play until it was over…

Wish that thief who joined my team for CoE earlier had read this post before running the dungeon and saying “If you stack what do you need a thief for?!?!?” needless to say, he didn’t take a conjured once, didn’t give 1 stack of blindness, didn’t do half interrupt (not even to help at Bjarl.) As useful as 4 manning without a thief.

To start with, I know it’s a social game and I do enjoy a lot to play with other players. But as a person sometimes I can be on that mood in which I simply want to be left alone and dedicate myself into something without having to chat/receive tens of calls for tens of activities. Some days I simply prefer to be on my own, level an alt, do some map exploration and such without anyone even knowing I am around. Which is why I sometimes choose to use the invisible mode, but lately, it has turned completely pointless. Reason? It’s way too easy to understand whether a person is “invisible” or actually offline.
When you are on invisible, anyone can see your location by hovering arrow on your name:

while if you are offline, it will display as “unknown” (Instead of the location).
For many this might look as a very slight detail, but to me it is starting to be very bothering, because it literally makes the whole “invisible mode” pointless to me, as I start receiving mails and get invited to parties to counter the impossibility to whisper to me, and in those days where I want to be left alone, it really becomes a bother.
If possible, it’d be nice to display invisible people as “unknown”, as much as offline ones, so that anyone on invisible will actually look like offline and there will be left no way to know. I believe that if a person wanted anyone to know he/she is actually online, wouldn’t go under invisible or would find his/her ways to contact others.
Please ANet do this little fix!

2 skins, by paradox, the least useful weapons for me: Longbow and Shortbow. Awesome skins no doubt, but when you main ele (playing it about 90% of the time) followed by mesmer and finally guardian…meh…they sit nicely on the back of a never used thief and an even less used warrior (I have no ranger) ._.
Ran FotM on daily basis since July (previously I was running it like once each month or such), lvl 50 (personal reward) and running lvl 50s.

Also, you might find it useful to take a look at the Guardian forums and ask there, to receive answers from the most experienced guardians!

- Mace/Shield guardians, on full cleric
- Staff (main)/Gs (99% only for the symbol skill), cleric guardians only spamming “Hold the Line” and “Stand your ground” (when no possible use for stability actually exists) and using “Wall of Reflection” on mobs using no projectiles rather that equipping a different skill
- Rifle warriors on full PvT
- Gs camping mesmers
- D/D eles on x-x-x-6-6 builds who can’t stack more than 6 might (and grant that powerful 6 might (without fury) only pre battle, never during the fights) ..
- Guardians on full cleric saying in Ts "What’s the use of “Retreat”?" Bow of truth OP!
- Cleric Rangers Q.Q
- Staff mesmers
- Shouts heal warriors spamming rifles and saying “We can range almost all of the Harpies (in Uncategorized Fractals) from the ground without jumping on the platforms!” (despite having a guardian, a thief and a d/f ele in team)
- People convinced you must have 3 tanks to run a lvl 50 FotM (considering a 2h run a speedrun)
- Totally tank guardians and warriors ranging everything possible, wasting every effort of stacking might for the team, blaming you for the FotM run to be taking too long, because you zerker, noob, you can’t run FotM 50 full zerk!
- Eles who call themselves “zerker”, running with valkyrie armor+PvT trinkets+cleric weapons <3
- 100% tank warri spamming hammer, convinced to be able to really tank a boss and keep the aggro, even after being 1-shot 900 000 000 000 000 times with every hard hit they won’t bother to dodge, cuz tank warri OP
- Thief snorting annoyed like hell because I used Deep Freeze on a mob (when by miracle no one was adding random Defiance) so that he can’t daze it with the powerful Headshot
And what is really depressing is that these people are my ex guildies and current guildies, I can’t kick them nor I can rage quit, I must just endure………….. ..’

More or less, every server is good for new players because of the Megaserver system, which makes all servers (in PvE) like one. You will pretty much always see full maps with this system, which is pretty neat!
Now, I can’t tell you which NA server is the best choice as I am EU, but my suggestion would be to always choose a server which is decent at WvW, so that if you’ll want to finish map one day, you’ll have to desperate much less, if you are on a strong server with high WvW population!

Been away from SW for a while after the first few days. When I returned there I was like “WTH seriously? Red fails now?” …
It’s depressing. Forcing people to make themselves deliberately underdamaging and causing the event to fail at the last 2-3% hp because too little damage being dealt.
Honestly, in every red fails which I witnessed, boss barely received any heal, its hp just went down too slowly.
Add to it the brilliant “RED NEEDS HELP!” → 10000000000 billion people rush red upscaling it beyond imagination.
Upscaled hp+way too low dmg=success. #zerglogics

Well, in my experience, as long as the search function is broken (and will never be fixed obviously) “looking for” is literally the most useless forum section in this site. A huge massive mess of people looking for PvP teams, guilds and guilds recruiting, NA and EU altogether, moving posts to page 2+ in minutes. I personally never managed to find anything I was looking for and the post I shared was seen by like 1 person then disappeared to the who-knows-which-page, maybe works better with others.

A lvl 80 character with over 70% map completion..and many other 80s on less map >.>

I am not sure if I understood properly, though you should copy/paste that code you used on google, in your in-game chat. It will link you the waypoint there, which upon click, will direct you to the exact waypoint in the map.

Have you double-clicked it while inside the instance? If so, re-entering should help. Try also to relog.

I am in the same situation as you, actually I was never kicked and I used to solo-pug daily for tons of dungeons and fractals, I have been in team of full-guildies-except-me and not be kicked anyway.
To how I see it, there is a minority of -add the insult you like the most- kittens out there who truly would kick someone at last boss to let a friend/guildie replace (a disgusting guy in my guild uses to do so, including pressuring others to kick pugs in the end to let him join,and even brags about it) so yes, they exist and it sucks that nothing is doable against them. (He is even uber lucky and blessed by RNG, to make him an even “better” subject).
But for the majority, I think the problem is that we all are different minded. Some people get insulted more easily than others, some people are more sensitive, more experienced in the game and such, so many times that annoying constant “what are you doing?!?!” “omg -.-” “noobs” that is considered by who writes that as nothing insulting, is actually insulting enough to make a kick a very sweet option.
Include also those people who think to be “Gods of the game” and in fact are pretty much bad players who have no clue what they are doing. Inclue the fact that many people who post on the forum very likely avoid to add some specific details in order to look completely innocent and as if they were kicked for no reason just to sell their spot or replace them.

My rules to myself when joining any team of pugs were always these simple ones:
-They don’t speak English in guild chat = Instant leave the party;
-Unless you are in a very friendly party, reduce conversation to the most minimal (Hi. Ty. Bye.);
-Don’t give tips to others unless they look like they would appreciate (many people just take it as an insult to their way to play, which it is, but can you seriously expect randoms to be perfect?) And if you do it, still do it in an extremely friendly way (“It would help us a lot if you used -add skill- ^^” instead of “wtb -add skill- -.-/”L2p use -add skill- noob -.-");
-Be utterly kind if you are with people of a same guild, don’t insult one of them for any reason, not even if they deserve. That guy of their guild doesn’t have enough AR and insta dies? REZ and SHUSH and you reduce the chances to be klcked, because even if there is scum out there, there are also people with some common sense. Don’t give those people reasons to get rid of you, mostly if you are close to the end.
-If the other players are bad, you see that since the first fight. You are alright with it? You shut up and push forward. You are not alright with it? Leave, don’t stay just to act like a -add insult- just to make them wish to make you pay in the most painful way (kicking you right before the end, wasting tons of your time..)
-Keep youself up-to-date, read forum, check if new, more effective builds are available, run meta, learn to play it properly with casual/relaxed teams before throwing yourself into a speedrun team with high expectations.

Honestly, I followed these lines for two years and everything went well, always. I am pretty confident that if everyone behaved more like this, we would see much less “I was kicked for no reason!!!!!!!!!!” posts. ^^

I understand it can be a frustrating for new players but look at that from veteran player perspective. We run dungs because its profiting not because its fun and usualy with low levels, newbies what dont know strategy, players without speedrun builds those runs take much longer and that can be also pretty frustrating and some ppl simple dont have that patience to teach strategies and carry lowbies everytime thats all. When you run that dungeon every day past 2 years you wanna do it fast and smooth.

Add to it that low levels now are even more crippled due to the great NPE , add to it that often they won’t listen to veteran players explaining them and contradict them, add to it that as long as dungeons won’t receive some care from Devs, they will be run more by farmers than dungeons lover (speaking of pugging and full team) as they (we) rather solo and duo than get a full team by now, for how absurdly much we know them by heart. -.-

Now this is a random thought: What if every legendary was given an additional right-click option that allows the player to interact with them in different ways? Perhaps it could be an emote, dance, playable instrument, etc. I like the idea of the harp being playable, and think it would be fun if legendary weapons were more than just pretty weapon skins with adjustable stats.

It would be pretty much great imo, it would also be cool if they added new different interactions to the weapons overtime, since for how cool they might be, running with always the same aura/footsteps/effect becomes boring after years.

Technically, before, you could only unlock your traits to use by paying gold to the trainer. Now, you can unlock them by either paying gold/SP or doing a task that costs you nothing but time.

So, technically, you have more choice now than before, as far as unlocking traits goes.

As well, there were 12 dailies to choose from before, and 12 dailies to choose from now. Same amount of choice on what dailies to do. As well, one can choose to get their 10 AP by never leaving PVP or WVW, while before they couldn’t always choose to do so.

There’s a difference between “less choice” and “making different choices”.

You mean by doing a task that will require you to be level 80 and traited to do since most of the time it requires you to do pretty hard group events which are neglected by everyone else. My ele is my main. Played that character for 956 hours. Completed map. All dungeons (story and explorable) were fullfilled on that character more than once. I use him to do world events, jumping puzzles, LS, gathering, yet I had to buy almost (if not for 1 or 2) all of the traits I needed for both the PvE builds I need and the WvW one, (including some grandmaster trait I unlocked for PvP). Point is, most of people are still forced to pay gold unless you don’t plan to do anything else but traits hunting for a few weeks at the very least, with the difference that unlocking all traits is much more expensive and requires tons of skill points which highly limit you for what concerns alts (unless you truly play them a lot or store your scrolls of knowledge).
There is less choice and you can see it perfectly when you look at the activities: once you were free, at any moment of the day, any day to go and have some rounds of Kegs Brawl, Crab Toss, Sanctum Sprint (etc), whenever you liked to. Now, if you want to play a specific activity you can only pray that today was the day of that activity.
The only in game new armor skins added lately (and no-black lion weapons skins) forced you to play DT and SW. Arguably, no one forces you to have those skins, but the fact they are the only in-game new skins you can obtain through playing and no paying gems, in a way forces you to.
Before, as stated, PVE daily had many more options, now only 4, which force you to either spend time in one specific map, not region, or to do one specific event. Before you could do daily much more freely, now you must necessarely accept to do something you don’t like if it’s in the options.
Before I could do any of the Orrian Temples if I wanted to, now I either keep the LFG open al the time in hope that someone will taxi to an event or I must remain for hours in the area of the temple I want to wait till it starts.
Before I could do my personal story whenever I wanted, I could use it to speed my levelling up if I wanted, now I can not until reaching a certain level.
Before I could find a team and run a dungeon with a low level without feeling (as much of) a useless burden than now, that if I joined for AC story with a level 30 I would go with 1 trait only.
Before, I could finish a tutorial I did hundreds of times and know more than by heart in less than half the time, by unlocking a few skills on a good weapon. Now I can only spam 1 and take ages to complete it.
Before if I needed a specific sigil I could consider running high level personal story to obtain it as it was a sure reward. Now no more, can only buy some. (for those which can’t be crafted.)
Before there were more spots and options for farmers, now it’s all about zerg and have others complain about toxic community.
Before they at least added gem store armors, allowing me to mix’n’match thus choose what my character could look like. Now it’s all about outfits for the most, dress up like all of our characters just came out of a assembly line.

Hi everyone! As the title says, this is not going to be just a classic adv for a new guild. We thought of a little project we would like to share and hopefully achieve!
And to spare people that will surely not be interested, from reading further, this whole thing is directed towards Italian players , but not just the ones in Italy, we refer to all of the Italian people all over the world. (Italo-Americans etc… included, in other words )
In the specific we refer to all of the people who consider themselves Italian, no matter where they are or where they were born!

Our project and goal is to unite a very big world-wide Italian community under one guild (or multiple sub-guilds if too many people will want to participate and one guild won’t be enough.)
And with this we mean that said guild, will be open to both NA and EU players as long as Italian.

The name of the guild in question is “Italian Pride, Heart and Soul” [ITAs], and its motto is “No matter where we are, we will always be Italian in our heart and soul”.
The guild was created on EU server Gandara, but as stated above, it is open to Italian players from any server and Region. (Any NA player can join if interested, we would actually love if many NA players would be interested in this!)
Now, we are aware that being an inter-regional guild will bring some basic problems concerning regions restrictions, such as being impossible for EU players to join NA ones on their servers and vice versa (Without transfer). For this reason, for now, we set sociality as main goal of the guild.
We want to create a friendly, amazing, cheerful, helpful Italian community, in which players will be able to know each others, become friends, and overall, share and get to know the reality of other Italian people who live in other countries.

At the moment we are mainly aiming to realize how many other people might be interested in something like this, if the idea might be good and bring to something even better in the future. We hope it won’t remain just a dream.. :/

Guild-wise, we can’t offer much in game yet. The guild is newly created, with barely any upgrade ready and no guild mission unlocked for now. For this reason we start as a social guild only, we want to offer a community to chat with, to learn from!
The fact that we won’t be able to perform any event that will let people from EU and NA play together in same maps is another factor as for why the guild will start as a “social platform”.
When the community will grow, we will make sure to organize officers and responsibles groups for NA and EU so that we will be able to offer same events/services to players from both regions.
Until then, we will rather not offer anything to either, than exclude a part of the community. This is in-game wise. We will make sure to organize competitions and constests through out-of-game sources, such as FB page and forum, when it will be ready.

What are we looking for?
Any Italian player from any country, continent, town, village all over the world, who is interested in getting to know more Italian people from other places.
Speaking Italian is appreciated, but not required, unless every player who will join guild will be able to speak Italian, we will stick with English.
And among them, some people with good will, hopefully from NA, to be promoted as officers to assist and direct the NA community in the guild.

For now this is more of a dream than else, we really hope that someone else will find the idea amusing enough to join us in this and help the dream to take form in something concrete.
