Would it be possible for a EU player to join a NA guild and vice versa? (Regardless of the fact said player wouldn’t be able to join guild members and guild activities unless transfer, which I am aware of)

Wanze’s version sounds deliciously evil, think a lovely mob of people camping a single magic snow and repeatedly interrupting the poor soul who will try to build a snowman there >:D

Heh, pretty funny to see all the different reasons. Well, according to the principle of Occam’s razor, the most simple answer is… they just wanted to invite guildies and have them get fractal chest for free. I understand you are looking for some complex reasoning involving poor playing or not supporting party enough, the fact is though, people are kitten and often kick pugs to make space for guildies – it has nothing to do with how well you performed. Should they be punished and justice be served? Definitely yes. Will this actually happen? Let me think…

Honestly I have some doubts that there are as many of these bad people out there. I don’t want to doubt the OP nor anything for I know nothing more than the others about this matter, but are you 100% sure you didn’t have some behaviour that actually annoyed the other players during the fractals? Were you being unkind towards them? Criticizing them (or one of them) because of failures? Were you “teaching them how to play” in a way they could find bothering?
I say this because for full 2 years I’ve solo-joined pug teams for fractals of all level ranges and dungeons. Never once was I kicked from an instance. Countless of times I’ve been the only pug in a full-guild-team. Arguably I was just incredibly lucky (and I ran dungeons and fractals a lot on daily basis), or simply never gave anyone a reason to kick me out. But I have seen tons of people being kicked. Some people find it annoying to be called “noobs” some even find annoying when some players go like “omg..” “what are you doing?!” and such. The best way to run with pugs when you have no one to back you in the team is: keep your head bowed, do your stuff well, ignore and leave in the end. And yes, if they give any sign they are going to speak another language in party chat, leave right away. Some people seem not to have the brain skill required to demand for people speaking their same language when they claim so, not even now that they can use the flag in the LFG itself.

Also happened to me during a round to be unable to play any note, either I would click or press the key, my character would stand still , doing nothing and only take damage

Arah story mode is the only dungeon in this game I would buy, the only thought to play it again makes me feel sick…thank God I only solo with ele for now so I’m covered from having to repeat it any time soon, phew!

Roles would be “better” sure, so that players who suck could always blame their lack of skill on an healer.
The game couldn’t get better than it is on that mode, there is no game as great for what concerns combat, thus, if you all are so absurdly bothered by the lack of a healer to blame, feel free to go play every other game having that system.

Precursor crafting/scavenger hunt
New weapons for existing professions
New hairstyles and hopefully a big re-work of the char creation to be much wider and help to customize and differ (scars, make up, etc to be applied on the face, not be forced to either choose the face you like or the features you want on it)
New dungeons and fractals
New titles, hopefully being something to fight for, not grind/pay for.

Agreed, it sucks…and to me it also sucks to be unable to be in the same instance as your friends for puzzle and bells…ok whatever for the snowball mayhem thingie and the “potential risk that people turn it into an exploit”, excuse some threw up back in the time to justify the fact you couldn’t join your friends for the Halloween activity either, but for these? Seriously, what could even be the possible excuse as for why it has been decided you can’t play bells with your friends? Why can’t do the jp together? Come on… -.-

Just add some accent to some letter or some random lone letter somewhere, I’ve never had any issue making my own version of an already taken name.

Why is the daily important for you now that the majority of the rewards have been moved to be part of the daily login reward system?

Surprisingly, I have yet to receive an answer to that question.

The real question here should be, why was the daily re-worked once again where it was one of the least bothering thing in game? Why they keep working and reworking over and over and over this kitten ed daily? Why don’t they let the devs wasting time on this, actually work on something more appealing, like more new content of different type (New dungeons, new fractals, new PvP modes, new legendaries etc..), help in fixing bugs etc? And before everyone yells at me that “there are different teams working on different things!!!!” explain me why we keep getting daily reworks so often and nothing of what I mentioned?

I honestly couldn’t care less about the modification made to daily, it was the last thing the game needed and as usual, what was worked on, ignoring the rest. (Bloody bugs plaguing events and dungeons since release as an example)
And you shouldn’t get surprised about the view vista daily, mostly if you consider that just logging in the game now rewards you (and arguably better than doing the actual daily achievements) and last time I checked, it was pretty easy to log in, some typing, some clicking. :P

I’m unable to join the team I try to join -clicked to join a SW taxi, ended up in an AC story one for how fast advs move-, which keeps me stuck in dead maps and as if it wasn’t annoying enough, it hurts my eyes literally. Please fix it, I hope well this is not working as intended…

If there is one thing I’d never do ever is to risk to duo with some pug or semi-pug or whatever not trustworthy….

If they add these, they will have to be complete areas. With hearts or long quests, new and many, different events, normal rewards not yet another useless new token to only give the illusion of being rewarded for what you do, a cool story leading to them and accompanying you as you explore further, interesting NPC to speak with, some nostalgia here and there and unique skins both for weapons and armors related to the area. AND they will have to be areas in which you can achieve things on your own, exploring on your own if you like it that way. Not areas in which to achieve anything good you need a huge amount of people, commanders willing to organize and 2h staring at the LFG to find the “ORGA CANTHA TAXI xxx COMs JOIN AND LEAVE”.
If they have to be another DT-SW model, I truly hope Cantha and Elona won’t be added to the game. Ever.

Imo it has become even more unrewarding after the NPE patch, at least previously you got rewarded with some very valuable superior sigils (inside green weapons with cool skins) during the 70-80 steps…

I agree…I find mini super useless and far from interesting in any way (as a matter of fact the only ones I got are the ones that can’t be sold)
They do nothing, are barely visible and can’t even stay close? Sure not going to spend half copper and even more sure, real money for them.

Why? As you stated, the defense events are stale, repetitive, boring and utterly unrewarding due to no loot from corpses. People prefer to hop in at breach because that+labyrinth are kinda the most rewarding part of the whole SW at the moment. And the majority of people play for rewards. I am pretty convinced that if the Luminescent collections didn’t require such a huge amount of SW farming, the area would already be even more abandoned than it is. Whether we like to admit it or not, it’s no longer fun for anyone who spends there quite some time.
Tonight been helping out a friend there with farm for his boots skins. As we first teleported we ended up in a totally deserted map. Took a while for us to find a taxi to an organized SW, the only one advertising was one stating to be at a SW map at 50% from breach and it got filled pretty quickly.
First round went fine, map got full, did breach, did lab…then? People massively left map, to which we were left about 2-3 people x keep to do the defence. And it’s only going to get worse as soon as majority of people will have completed all of the collections. Thus I suggest to everyone who plans to get them done to farm now…

I dropped one..wish I actually had not, for it’s as useless as rejuvenating boosters, WXP boosters and co…at least to me. Another useless thing to throw off my inventory

a dungeon run is for fun for every1 and it must be free also
and not to be come a model to earn money

It has been stated and confirmed that selling a dungeon is not an abuse and is licit to do, unless the seller/s has used exploitable cheats to complete the dungeon.
Everyone can run dungeons for free, the fact sellers exist don’t imply anyone is forced to buy unless it’s what they want.

And you could use it to simply avoid any effort in skipping parts in dungeons -taking you have someone in the party who can do the skip-.

Can confirm myself you’ll get more legs if you replay the story with your alts

To all the casuals speaking like “We happy you go away”:
Hardcore players are as much customers as you are and they deserve as much consideration as you. No hardcore player here has once stated “stop making LS and focus on hardcore content only”, it’s rightful to demand something that will appeal them -us- as well. Because…if you were the minority in the game and devs were only adding uber hard content which would be doable by hardcore players only, you would be as frustrated and concerned.
Not to mention that most of the casual players I have met so far (quite over 50 between guilds and friend list) either have quit the game or constantly complain the game lacks content…
What I personally want to see is: more dungeons, more fractals, more hard content that doesn’t require 560000 people led by 400 commanders in which each person will have to spam either skill 1 or skill 2 repeatedly to get sand as reward. I’m bored of spending 1 hour refreshing LFG open world section to find a decent SW.
Plus, Tequatl difficult? Really? Well, for people unable to read and turn what they read into action no doubt. 3-wurm same, after the third time beating it I realized the real challenge in that group event is to end up in a map where it is organized, since not even TS in GW2community can ensure you’ll manage to find a spot in the right map before it gets full.

I’m a player and a reader. Use forum a lot to keep myself up-to-date with builds and read tips from mentors, hoping to improve more and more as a player ^^
Sometimes when I am very frustrated (for example after being camped at a vista I tried to get in WvW for map completion :P ) I can be pretty negative, and then feel sorry for it and stay silent (in the forum) for a while >.<

I would definitely love if something like this would be added to the game truly…

Stand somewhere out of combat close to where the Legendary spawns (somewhere safe where mobs won’t get to you), open your LFG and wait for some good soul to taxi people to a map where the mob has spawned. That’s the only reliable way as far as I know, it’s how I got mine.

I dropped only 1 ascended box on an average of 150 full runs…(and it was healing power legs)…paradox, I got 3 ascended boxes from Tequatl, one from WvW and one from PvP…wasn’t FotM meant to be the most reliable source of ascended drops?

The only tip I can give is to always start with the maps you like the least/find the most boring (always making sure to visit WvW every week in moments of the day in which your server owns most of the color-wise area they belong to)

In the BLTC forum there is a constructive discussion about RNG and possible substitution to make the curve more friendly towards the “kissed-by-bad-luck”, I suggest you go to take a look at it instead of just shouting at it here It is well known in game and out game that wherever there is any kind of RNG system, there will be a number of people to be super lucky and a number of people being super unlucky with an average staying in the half-way. Fair or not, the RNG is working as intended, we hate it, I hate it, but sadly, it’s how it works :/

I wish so badly they’ll add a greatsword for eles…I was thinking it’d be cool to have skills similar to the ones you get when you are turned in an avatar of Balthazar during personal story (the one after losing Claw Island if you joined Durmand Priory you know?) I can always dream ^^

If you decide to run dungeons, let me give you a tip: avoid the LFG like plague if you don’t want more frustration. Find yourself a cool guild, which offers some events, some WvW roaming that is surely more interesting than zerging (but there is still the risk to be destroyed by an enemy zerg walking by).
If you find cool friends to do it with, you can start build your Fractals level and slowly reach the top, not too rewarding or anything but it can be funny if you like that type of activities.
Try other professions and races to check which one is the most fitting for you, (every race has a different PS for the first chapterS)
And if you like to fight other players, PvP could be a better solution despite it’s a very unbalanced enviroment as well.
But really, joining a big and working guild will really “change your (in-game) life” in some ways. If I am bored I can always hop in to do some event, can propose some activity, join for a dungeon or whatever.

Agreed…honestly, I’ve been pushed to a point that if I can’t fill a team with friends and guildies I rather avoid to run a dungeon I feel like to run, because I’m sick of those bad pugs. While I am well aware that there are great people out there forced to pug, the bad experiences are so bad and constant to drain every drop of optimism left. So, rather than having the chance to make new cool friends, I prefer to avoid the chance to get more “acid in my stomach” because of obnoxious beings feeling Gods because their identity stays well-hidden and nobody can’t go tell their momma’s.

This idea is bad, i can now imagine people for no reason abuse “chater” report for being killed in pvp, wvw or simply because “he dropped a precurs and not me – he must be a haxxorr”.

ANet would investigate on the matter and infract the abuser instead of the reporter, if said person was reported unfairly, it’s as simple as that mate, don’t worry, you won’t be banned if you are a good fighter.

I agree and would love if the loot were directly transfered to your inventory. How many times you lose tons of bags after your zerg loses a fight against another zerg and you are forced to leave them there as you are dead and unable to get them in any way? Truly, it’s frustrating to death as even if you run back they will be no longer available…
