Not that I think Mimic is the a great skill, but it has abilities that are not described on the tooltip.
First off, just like the tool tip, it does absorb the first projectile and allows you to “echo” it back later. The echo is cumbersome, because its a sec or two to cast, which is unwarranted. It should be quicker than that IMHO.
BUT the spell is also a shield. And against ranged, it will “reflect” those projectiles back to the target!
So use it as a “gap closer” for when using main hand sword. Its a walking barrier that allows you to get close to your target.
I’ve used occasionally in sPvP, against rangers with their bow attacks, but also when Hunter’s Call sends all those hawks at you. Those hawks barely scratch you.

Early in the asura starter area, you return to your old school and meet one of your professors and even find your old desk. You inquire about another old professor and during the discussion, you find that this particular old professor kind of “lost it” and began running around in his underpants shouting his name is “Prof. Yakkington”.
Agreed, still that way.
The way Mantras worked in GW1 is that you cast the mantra and for X sec’s received some type of benefit, i.e. “protection from fire damage”.
Many people have suggested that the charging of a mantra have a similiar function. Like during the charge, you are granted stability, or swiftness/quickness or something of that nature. Then the charging can be come a tactical decision. I think this would make mantras more likely to be used as it is now. Just an idea.
Burning stacks in duration, not intensity. So your example is correct. If there are 10 secs of burning and you apply a 2 sec burning, now the mob has 12 secs of burning.
But like you said, there is a max limit. So the burning condition can never exceed 25 secs. So anything beyond that is wasted.
But if there is a large group of players all applying burning, the duration time would count down and then back to 25. So theoretically, burning could be continuously be going till the fight ended.
No that would do nothing. The names were transferred from the GW database at the end of August. It was a one time transfer.
Are you sure you linked her GW1 account to the proper GW2 account? Kind of sounds like that there is a link error.
