Ehh I really do not think anyone is moving up for awhile, and if they do, it probably will not be for long. Pop difference in brackets is pretty big.

I think these 3 servers will always be close in rankings unless something drastically changes.

Kain=they bring primetime numbers and very good coordination

Ferg=beast mode fighters and if they had more numbers would be impossible to stop. If they have 5, you bring 8 just to be sure

90% of the time we have very good teamwork on DR. You will find that the bottom bracket is a blast! Heck I end up talking as much with Kains warriors in whispers as I do my own server lol. And I dont mean smack talk, I mean as in good natured banter.

They have went so far that now they place flame rams as headstones whenever they kill a member of PRO. Both sides think it is hilarious. You should see the map chat…"Why are Kains placing flame rams all over the map lol

I wouldnt trade our bracket for the top one, there is no way the fight could be any more fun, or contested.

Spif, you guys in NUKE are insanely good. Heck we hit Titan with a good 5 or 6 man advantage on you guys and still barely took it.

Kain server…wow, last night was at times the biggest butt whoppin I ever took. Mad props to you all.

Ferg, your SM assault was relentless. Between trying to hold you guys off, and Kain kicking me in our BL at the same time, I felt like a pin cushion.

DR did well yesterday fortunately, unfortunately just not when I was on lol

Anyone have a score update? Last one on the matchups page was 10 hours ago.

I guess I am on the other side of the fence on this one. I do not understand people who want to any way limit, downsize, or change WvW. It is WORLD vs WORLD not 5 man group vs 5 man group. We already have sPvP and tPvP for that.

The fights in my opinion should be large scale and epic.

You need the zerg to go around and take things quickly. The issue is that there are not more who will stay and upgrade/defend behind the zerg.

Besetment said it best with:
“Zerging is really not a problem. A clever team will exploit the fact that the Zerg’s strength is entirely concentrated in one location. All you need to do is make sure your team can read a map and that your team has effective scouting and communication so you know where the Zerg is and where its going at all times.”

My opinion is stop trying to change the game, and start trying to change how your team plays it.
You need a well rounded squad (including a zerg) to excel in WvW.

This has been some of the best fighting I have seen so far.

Ferg you guys are beast mode, if you only had a few more people you would probably be leading this thing.

Kains- awesome tactics and numbers. Props for bringing it this week!

All in all this one is going to come down to the wire.

Just wanted to comment on a few things that seem to be misunderstood.

PRO is not a huge WvW guild at all. Sat and Sun we were begging for people to come in and help us in guild chat. You may not believe when we tell you this but at most this weekend we had 20ish in WvW. At least when I was on which was about 20 hours or so lol. Trust me, it is at times frustrating to not be able to bring the numbers.

So Mosharn claims that PRO ruined the balance, well if it was that fragile there was no balance to begin with.

It really is a good mix of guilds that are keeping DR in the hunt. RED, GASM, SOCO,DARK and many others are just as vital or more than PRO at the moment.

It was said that SM take was maybe underhanded last night. I can tell you what happened as I was there.

4 golems mezmer ported directly to the outer gate. Lilj (Spelling maybe wrong sorry) and I think Nals (may be others hope I did not miss) led the charge. We were through the outer gate in about a minute or 2. Inner gate didnt take much longer as again the mesmers sped the golems along.

I think they are the Norn Elite skills.

Do not auto attack walls when a group is treb/catapulting it. Do not even kill guards if no defenders are present.

1. You do no damage to walls anyway
2. It places cross swords on the keep/garrison and they know you are coming.

Ninja tactics especially in a smaller group is very important.

Totally agree with your post. I too am not getting the monthly this time as I do not do dungeons.

But that is my choice. I will not ask others to change how they play for what I think.

I also told my guild leader that I was reporting the candy corn nodes in WvW as bugs. Ruining my killing with a holiday, how dare they lol.

Of course I never will get world completion either as PVE bores me to death

Just had to clear a few of your "facts’ up.

PRO came to the server almost 2 weeks ago…not during this week.

“That huge Devonas Zerg you think we call PRO”- we probably at most have had 30 people in WvW at one time and I highly doubt they were even all in the same BL.

“Very Nasty Attitude”- I have never danced or laughed at any enemy I have fought, I have however bowed hundreds of times at opponents when they put up a good fight or had good spirit.

“very poor skills individually”- I have no doubt that PRO has people that are as skilled and tough a fight as you will find. Me personally I am average, but I love the chase of getting better.

I am sorry your experience with our guild has been a bad one. I hope the coming week will bring more fun in battle.

Orbs are gone in a upcoming build!

Downed state is fine in my opinion.

Dead state needs a Max time limit so people do not lay somewhere giving info to their teams.

Our fights are too good to have things like that get people upset.

I disagree. 99.9% of time it is the bugged enemy veteran guard. At least on our servers matchups. We know because we always place a human player gaurd to make sure.

The bug has gotten a lot worse the last week.

This is also why you always have the crossswords on your keeps and garrison even when you cant find enemies outside.

I do not think anyone is hacking you, I think you are describing the bug where enemy veteran orb protectors are spawning in keeps and even the garrison. They break the altars and the orb falls.

If you place a gaurd you can catch this happening and repair the altar before it is destroyed. If no one is there to repair it and it gets destroyed, there is no way to repair.

Hills is especially buggy. We never even try to use it now.

There are a few threads going around now about this. if you stay at the orb about 10 minutes or so you will see them spawn. Usually 2 in a row about every 5 minutes.

It is not the other servers hacking you though.

So I have only been WvWing a few weeks and I am still learning everyday. What am I missing about Altars that they are made to be destroyable?

We all know there are bugs right now with Veteran Orb Protectors spawning and eventually destroying the altars. I just can’t figure out why they are destructable in the first place. If you hold the Keep/Garrison, you should have a place to keep an Orb, you earned it by capturing the point.

Help a noob out, what game mechanic am I missing?

Hakato- Yeah and if you do not repair in time and the alter gets destroyed…you cant repair it.

Only way to fix it is to let the other team take it, and then try to recapture the keep later.

They will attack the alter as well….Sooooo annoying. It is happening very often now on our server. Probably half of them are bugged at some point during the day.

This also leads to many servers claiming (Hacks, Glitched etc) against the servers they are playing against.

ANET really does need to put attention on this issue, just in my play time this week there have been 3 orbs either lost or we had no where to place them due to this issue.

I would bow to your mes much faster than your blankety blank thief lol (and yes I am butt-hurt about theives)

For me it was community and queue times. I actually went in the opposite direction though and went to the bottom matchup.

I really like the 4 choice setup upon entering WvW. Commander that you do not like running with in one BL….move along to another.

Not a fan of xp trains, it should be about the server not Karma/Leveling.

So this is my first level 80 and I absolutely love WvW. So much that it is all I do when I log on. I have finally found a server I enjoy and feel like I am fitting in.

My question is how do all of you hardcore WvW players make Gold?

Do you come out and PVE to get some gold? Buy gems with money and exchange it for gold?

I am having a hard time as I always try to buy seige and try to do some upgrades for my team as I go. After repairing as well, I am barely breaking even. I want to contribute and in no way am saying I regret it, just want to find out how some of the rest of you do it.

Thanks for any advice you can pass to a noob.

Edit: additional info, I started WvW when i was level 60 and have not been in PVE since. So I had no stock pile of Gold to fall back on from questing. (Dont even know where Orr is yet) LOL So in 2 weeks of WvW, I have went from 3G to a whopping 4G Whoo Hoo.

Is there a way to turn off dead enemy name plates?

The reason I asked is that I am a grenade engineer. I spend a lot of time throwing grenades at enemy players. So much that I fear my left ring finger may never be the same again

It is hard sometimes in large engagments because there are so many dead players laying around and I waste throw after throw that would be better served in other positions.

Tab does not help with grenades by the way for anyone that has not played an Engy. Grenades are a ground aimed throw that does not auto attack.

I don’t really want to turn all the name plates off, but it is getting to that point.

I know it is a small thing, just wondering if anyone else had any tips they use.

I have only been here 3 days but it really is a different vibe.

I stood in red briar last night as a DR player watching the other 2 servers (Ferg and Kain) fight outside our walls. Me and another person were /cheering the whole time as they fought.

In this matchup Kaineing won. The remaining 6 or so Kain invaders walked up to our walls as we were still cheering, bowed….

Took about 10 steps back and then attacked us. LOL it was awesome.

Understood, sorry did not at all mean to imply you were wrong in asking or that you were digging for drama. Not my intention at all, but I can see where it sounded that way.

With the class that PRO has shown so far, I doubt they would air any issues on a public forum against their old server.

I have not seen any of them say anything other than They moved and plan on staying.

Look at the Bright-side, at that rate in 8 more days you will get a 3% Robust buff!

Then they are really in trouble!

No sir, from what I have seen of Kaineng I would not have been alone in my charge It was actually on one of those higher bracket servers. Thats when I moved down this week to DR.

I left a server i will not name because people would not do what Draygo suggested you do.

I was at AH where our orb was. We owned next to nothing else on the map. I am at the south outside gate with about 15 “team mates” including a person who purchased a commander icon (note I did not call them a commander). Invaders have about 30 beating on our wall, 1 catapult just outside AOE range hitting our door. No rams…

I stand in front of our portal in /s and ask multiple times for some to rush out with me and take the catapult out.

no response…no response..I assume they are ready as about 7 of them move to the door. I rush out make it to the catapult…take off about 10percent and die. Look around and I am the only one there.

Run back and ask what happened and get told that I was being stupid that we would just die…."by Mr. Commander Icon Purchaser

I laugh and run down to AH inner wall where I see in map chat that another commander tag purchaser is asking for help in taking Spirit…

My exact words in map chat were,"why would Spirit be a priority when we were less than 5 minutes from losing our 1 orb.

Now dont get me wrong, I do not want to be a commander (not nearly smart enough and know this) but I knew it was time for me to look around a bit lol

Reliable commanders are a godsend and should be thanked whenever possible.

Thanks Sumwun. It is not about winning to me at all. (Proof of that is that I have tried SF, AR and now DR lol) No offense meant to any of those servers but they are not necessarily WvW powerhouses. I did enjoy most of my time on both of those servers. Just trying to see what is out there before I commit.

First and formost no Queue time is important to me.

Next, it is spirit and coordination. I understand there will always be mistakes and bad moves, it is par for the course. As a whole commanders need to understand what is needed, and by that I mean..zerg..zerg…zerg is not the answer.

Last night DR had good commanders in the field, at least where I was. Very promising.

You know it is really hard to tell. I am not sure if PRO’s move is temp (bad matchup for GOM against YAK’s) or if they are looking for a new home. Guess that would be for them to answer.

I myself am bouncing around looking at different servers to finally settle down. Been on SF, AR, and now DR. Liked what I saw last night on DR, gonna stay awhile and see how it goes

This past Monday I ventured into WvWvW for the first time. I started the game 3 weeks ago and have been looking forward to it.

Being only a level 60 I was really aware that I was both low level and a complete noob about where to go and what to do. I wandered slowly away from the portals and tried to figure out where my team was.

After about 15 minutes of confusion another person from my team finally ran by….my chance I thought, stick with them.

My new found best friend proceded to run straight off a cliff and kill himself from the fall. I made my way down where he lay and of course it was right in the middle of a pack of wolves.

The next 5 minutes I spent running in a circle throwing bombs behind me as the 6 wolves turned into 12 as they doubled lol.

Finally with 10 percent health left the last wolf died. Expecting the higher level player to make a coment about how bad I was and how long it took me to kill them, I bent down and began rezzing.

I see the chat bubble pop up and the player tells me “that was the most epic Kiting I have ever seen, thanks for the great show”

I agree we out number you. I see that almost everywhere we go. I just dont think a few exploiters are a major factor in the outcome of battles. I m sure every server has people abusing the system.

Dont worry, next week we will start off the week losing to you guys, and all the server hoppers will come to you guys Then we will be the ones with the outnumbered buff and you will pay us back.
