I want to shove Canach in a wood chipper. And I say that as a Sylvari.
I don’t have a soul either. I sold it for five bucks.
Name one MMO that is bug-free. Just one.
Hello Kitty Online.
UP = underpowered. I can’t answer that, but I think it’s all relative.
You mean in GW2?
Yes. I should have been more specific. haha
They’ll probably change their mind about Cantha depending on the success of GW2 in China.
That looks awesome and I appreciate the aesthetic, but why isn’t there beautiful or glamorous looking armor?
I can’t be the only one that wants such things.
Post edited and recreated for mod approval:
So I saw the post with descriptions of all the new items including RNG chests
Can we please not have these? I would rather not see the items in the game at all than have them through wallet grabbing luck chests. Seriously. We have had enough RNG for a while. Make it stop. Even if you go through with it, make sure everything is tradeable. That’s the least you can do to the people spending gems on it.
No one likes your lucky chests. We like fixed prices or obtainability through play. The exact description:
Get packed for the return to Southsun Cove. An assortment of souvenirs from the Southsun islands. This chest contains Southsun crafting materials and a chance to get a wide variety of items such as shoulder skins, new boosts and conveniences, and a rare chance to get new weapon skins and mini pets.
No one wants chances or rare chances in something we buy with our real life cash. If you must, make the items expensive, but let us buy the items. You know you will have people complaining after “OMG having openened 100 chests, no mini!!1!” anyway.
If they made the skins more expensive, people would still complain. Besides, I don’t think any regular player is buying the BLC chests, anyhow. I’d guess that it’s only the collectors and possibly people who want to corner the market on rare items.
By focusing solely on the larger threats, there’s a tendency to forget that there other dangers. I think it’s a good way to emphasize that there are other menacing forces in Tyria.
In real life, people who are considered to be visionaries or “legends” have complex lives when you examine them. Although they excel in one area, they typically fall in another.
Eir, in my opinion, is such a person. It doesn’t make her any less great, it only makes her more complicated and realistic. Besides, her whole story of assuming all guilt for the death of Snaff was pretty weak and boring.
I think they should add public dungeons.
For the Sylvari, you help raise Cabbage Patch Kids.
I’d PvP if they were fun. I really enjoyed the themed PvP arenas during the Mad King and Wintersday events. They should bring those back.
I’d say Cantha is alive and well considering most all humans I’ve seen use the Asian-looking faces, the females anyway.
Charr is a good race to play. They have a solid and pretty cool storyline. I also endorse them because there isn’t enough Charr. Nearly everyone is a Human or Norn.
As for class, that’s up to you. You could just make all three.
Petal-y hair would be very nice. I like the Pale Tree’s hair. She reminds me of Erykah Badu.
Question is…would any class ever want bifrost? (with exception to pink dyed guardian).
One of the ugliest legendaries in my opinion.
For necro however I would suggest Final Rest and two others whose names I forgot :S
I have a Mesmer and am dyed H2T in pink, but even I hate Bifrost. I’m using the Super Staff, which replaced my Asuran Cultural skin.
Actually, I wouldn’t even want to play a game with elves. I can’t stand them. And I’m not alone.
In fact, mmorpg.com has a column called “No Elves Allowed” about all the things that are traditionally in MMOs that the writer just can’t stand to see any more of. Ever hear the term “played out”?
Fantasy is a very very broad catagory. It’s long past time it’s expanded beyond elves and dwarves. I’m so glad they’re not in this game (and that Anet killed off the dwarven race in Guild Wars 1).
Thank you for saying this. When anyone wants to add anything remotely fantasy they just add Elves and, of course, Dark Elves.
It’s lazy imagination and such a boring and common trope. It’s time to move on people.
You saw it in the window and just couldn’t resist it.
On the serious, they look like curtains.
RE: Title
A fun game that does fun things.
You don’t make friends with salad.
He looks cool but he doesn’t look like a Norn at all. No beard, dark skin, slender, unnatural haircolor :C
He’s young, and in young people there is usually the need to counter mainstream culture and society. I think people really limit their imaginations and creativity when they say ‘Well, this doesn’t look like so-and-so race’. People need to look beyond such rigid concepts.
In the description it states that she’s lacking a warband. Perhaps she is a victim of prejudice and judged differently based on her appearance.

Dailies for some, miniature American flags for others.
No. I don’t think any of them are worth it.
When doing the Krait event in Sparkfly Fen after the new changes, watching a group of 15+ people get wiped by the poison and bomb skills. I laughed my head off.
I actually enjoy the Living Story. There’s a lot of intrigue going on right now, especially when you visit the refugee camp in Lion’s Arch. The Consortium are leading relief efforts, but it’s clear they have ulterior motives—The Grawl Chief there seems wary of their intentions and mentions that the Grawl are being discriminated by them, as well.
I bought 10 boxes the other day. All I wanted was the Risen Priest of Balthazar and I got it. haha
Tybalt is the only NPC in the story quest whose voice acting and character didn’t make me wince. Even taken on its own, this is good characterisation and decent voice acting. Most of the rest are embaressing at best. Even Zoija is only marginally above the ARGH factor and kudos to Felicia Day for making it so because you can’t credit the script.
Smart companies do not kill off their enjoyable characters, especially if they only have a few.
Lets crystalise this. How many GW2 story characters do you remember and like? Tybalt, possibly Zoija and lets face it, thats about it. The rest are remarkable only in their blandness.
For a supposed triple A product, Anet missed the boat on the thing that draws us in the most: the characters.
What I want to know is why Sylvari have English accents.
If WvW is considered part of PvE (we have to finish those maps for full map completion), wouldn’t that technically make it open world PvP?
I enjoy the game immensely and all I do is PvE. While I do recognize obvious deficiencies the game has, it does not negate the fact that GW2 is a good game.
GW2 is only 5 or so months old, it isn’t perfect. It takes time for any title to get squared out. Does that mean that players should just accept it? Of course, not. However, it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable. Criticize the game, but do it constructively. Civility, these days, is severely lacking.
Just reload the game. That usually fixes it and, yes, it does occur every now and then.
I think the problem is that we dont have prec/tough/condition craft recipes, but they are extremely important for condition based builds and classes, like necros. For example, we still dont have exotic rabid trinkets.
The game just need more options for rabid equipments.
Actually, there are rabid trinkets. On my Mesmer I’m using a Rabid Spineguard, a Colossus Fang, 2 Tortured Root, and 2 Plague.
I have no problem with Asura heading all these events. They have the most ingenuity, so it makes sense.
Besides, Sylvari will get a chance to shine when Arbor Day and Earth Day come around.
Spending…I LOVED that outfit the female was wearing!
I love it, too! It looks so posh.
At 21 secs, you see a human couple walking together. The lady is wearing a lovely voluminous dress with accessories adorned with fur. Please let this be a look we can get and not just for Town Clothes.
I’m looking forward to the patch. It sounds like fun.
A Spellsinger or Bard type class.
I would like to see whips, clubs, fans, polearms, and tonfa. Thrown weapons like darts, knives, and chakrams would be nice too.
