What are your specific routines for leveling up and routines other than just leveling up? Do you feel your routines are always or sometimes fun and give you a challenge?

I’m not sure if this is some bug or not but I’m going to post it here at technical support. So yesterday I was invited to join a guild and I represented the guild but for some odd, very frustrating reason it won’t let me see the guild chats and when I try to use guild chat it would either say “You are not in a guild” d or “No one hears you”. This happens on all characters. I left the guild, logged off and logged back in, got reinvited but same issue. I was told to go invincible and back to available again but that doesn’t do jack either. The odd thing is I can see other guild chats for all other guilds I can represent but not this one particular guild.

I am someone who has spent over $1000 in the gem shop and have been a strong supporter of gw2 since head start, however if there are no new dungeons released in this expansion i will not be supporting this company any further. I will not buy the expansion or purchase anything from the gem store again.
I’m also pretty sure this is my first post i’ve made and i know of a lot of other people with the same mindset of myself who don’t bother to post in these forums.

Who is disappointed that we didn’t get a new race to play? I always thought that when there was going to be an expansion we would have at least gotten 1 new race to play as (Tengu what I was hoping for) because usually that’s what expansions bring is a new race or two. Instead we just get a new… profession. Mind you, for races that’s been around since day 1. Well, that’s fine but still I’m disappointed there is no new race especially after 2 years.

So after creating a character the intro music for that race is missing and it’s stuck with the login music. Hopefully this will be fixed because I like the Charr’s intro music, it makes you pumped up!

How long until these episodes are removed? Not quite at level 80 yet but would like to try them out before they are gone unless they are here to stay.

Also it says I can buy episodes 1, 2 and 7 for 200 gems each. Does this mean I can buy and play them at any level or is level 80 still required?

Lastly, are any of them worth playing and what do you get out of them when you complete them?

Correct, if you look at your character’s face their lips move when said voices show up, so it is actually coming from them.

I had to check it out myself and sure enough my male Charr’s lips moved saying “help me” in a human female voice. I was in tears.

Anyone else noticing spamming NPCs? I’m in Diessa Plateau and every minute or so you hear different NPCs from different races asking for help/whatever else they say.

EDIT: Apparently it’s been happening in other areas too.

The only bug I’ve encountered so far since the patch update was in chats where on my main chat tab I don’t have guild checked but I’m still getting guild chats in there and they don’t appear in my separate guild chat tab. The weird thing is that if I open my guild chat tab and click back to the main chat tab, the guild chats previous are gone. Anyone else encountered this?

But it’s not even about way pointing in that context as there I am, dead, in a safe little camp, lots of NPCs and humans standing around. I don’t want to just go with the default look. That’s not a random creation. Perhaps you missed my point?

For character creation, it is in my opinion that because there’s so many features that I believe there should be a random generator option. I am so tired and not of enough patience anymore of having to go through every single option just to create a character and feel it’s getting repetitive. Yes I could just click next and go with the default look, randomly click on things, skip certain things or maybe even just take time to create but at this point I’d rather just do it by the click of one button and go “Hey! I like that look!” Create

I’m a new player, just got the game with the big discount days. I played yesterday for a few hours and I loved the game. I do have some questions that maybe you can help me with.
I enjoy roleplaying in other MMOs, I learned about it in Neverwinter, and then tried it in Tera and WoW, and always had a great time.
That being said, I heard that the unofficial RP server is Tarnished coast. But I see it’s always full and I can’t create a character in there, only go as a “guest” what does that mean exactly? Also I read something about megaservers but couldn’t understand it. is it like merging several servers in specific zones that are usually more lonely so you can see more players?

Another question, I’ve read many times that GW2 lacks endgame, but I also know that it just recently got it’s first expansion, Heart of Thorns, did that change things a bit?
I read that namy people get bored after they get to 80, I sure hope it won’t be my case.
I love exploring and it seems this game has quite a lot of it.

Again, on the rp topic, should I try to join a rp guild? how is rp in this game? I think it’s a beautiful game (and that comes from someone who played Tera) and I think it has all the tools for having a great rp community, I hope I’m not wrong.

I just miss some more races, I’ve always played a handsome redhaired rogue elf called Jox Minosclav in all the MMO’s I’ve played, I was sad to learn there are no equivalent to elves in GW2 (only silvary but I’m not really into plant people) so I just made a dar haired human, love how he looks so far.

New player who loves the game and is enjoying it allot. Yet there’s a whole thread about a debate on the NPE (New Player Experience). Interesting.

Anyways welcome! I do want to say that as far as getting bored, I find that’s not the case when I create multiple characters and set goals for those characters. In fact, always set goals because that drove me to keep playing and not get bored. You can create all classes for all races with multiple story lines for each race so there’s no limit there as far as playability and story goes. Once you reach level 80 on one character, keep working on the other one or create a whole new one for a different story and experience. You should be golden with that.

At the end of the day, it’s just a video game, it’s purpose is purely for entertainment, so why are there so many people pouring out their hearts in the name of “trying to make it better” instead of just enjoying what it is? There are a hundred million other things you can do on the Internet. If GW2 doesn’t scratch all your itches, you’re welcome to fill that void with other things, too.

Deleted a level 80 just to make another character? Why not just spend $10 for an extra character slot? Seems like a waste to take up all that time to max out one character and then delete it just to make room for another char. Mind blown.

Which brings us at last to that greatest unanswered question of all: which dev does the best Elvis impression?

It seems to be happening at random times. I could just be running around or staying still and it will turn black or in some cases for me, the game completely closes out.

I’m having a similar issue. It seems as though we posted at the same time but yet, my topic was moved to ‘Game Bugs’. HA!

Anyone else experiencing any crashing after updating to the latest patch? After this latest patch my game has been crashing every few minutes. It either closes automatically with no error message or the screen will just turn black with only the game arrow showing like it froze. At first, it did want me to report the issue to Anet which I did but its not even asking for that anymore when it crashes.

I can’t wait until they finally unlock the fire isles in this game (If they do make it playable somehow).
