Op obviously isn’t familiar with karma trains. WvW died before eotm came out. Eotm just gave the ktrainers a more efficient place to farm.
If you wanted to “fix” the situation, you would have to fix wvw population imbalance and scoring.
Otherwise people would turn wvw into ktraining again.

The problem for medium is the chest pieces cover the legs.
There are plenty of pants but only about 3 chest pieces that don’t cover them.
The second problem is that the crotch on the pants looks really weird if you do have it uncovered.
There is no bulge.

Maybe you shouldn’t play the same thing every day if you’re looking for variety.
My point is that sw is the most dynamic, most engaging, and most challenging open world content. Nothing else is as interesting anymore.
Or do you actually enjoy kicking the shatterer in the shins for 10 minutes?
Sw has rendered other open world events obsolete. So it is time to revisit them.

I really hope we have something other than Mordrem to fight in HoT.
I’ve been playing Silverwastes pretty much every day since it came out. Not because its the most interesting place to be, but because:
1. it has the best rewards, and
2. it has the most challenging open world pve content
Its literally made every other part of the world a waste of time.
Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not complaining about SW. I love it. But fighting the same mobs day after day is getting really old. And the prospect of fighting nothing but Mordrem in the expansion is starting to worry me, as we’ve already been fighting them exclusively for almost a year…
If there really is nothing else coming then I seriously urge ANET to look at revamping some of the meta events on existing maps. There is plenty of interesting events/mobs out there to fight, but they don’t reward anything near like SW does.
Does anyone else feel the same?

Since I have nothing better to do, I am going to put this to the test.
I know that 300 bags nets me about 40g if I open and salvage everything on a level 51.
So I’ll try doing 300 on a level 80
Too small a sample to be remotely certain, sorry. You’d need thousands at least to draw much of a conclusion here, given how many possibilities there are and how rare some of them are.
Maybe for the types of drops but not for the gold returned.

Correct me if I am wrong but ranger shouts are the only ones where the base affect does not affect allies. This instantly makes them inferior to warrior or guard shouts, especially with trooper runes.
If ranger shouts are only going to buff the ranger+pet then the affects need to be much stronger than what they are. Quickness, aegis, retaliation, stealth…and any other useful utility. Maybe even an attack of opportunity in there somewhere since we don’t have enough access to that rather unique ability.
Personally though I would rather see them become group support like all other shouts.

Due to over 2,000+ issues i seen were about the lack of loot gain from champion bags meaning that its not enough profit from 1 champ bag than it worth wish they would buff champ bags of some type but not to overwhelming.Also over thousands of people enjoying farming gw2 for champ bags but there should be more farming grinds like for example (Silverwaste) we want to see more like this in the future of HoT. Im not asking for much but what is everyone else opinion on this? Just wanna make it where farmers have their side and dungeon farmer have theirs
The problem with buffing drops from champ bags is that the more they put in there, the more mats and items will enter the market, bringing prices down, so it wouldnt really make a difference.

They would have to adjust the volume of chests to compensate.

I think you’ve hit the main point which is that the trait line sux.
Existing guard build like shouts or medi wanted an improved ranged weapon, but now we’re forced into this crappy trait line in order to get it.

Well it doesn’t actually. The date of the reveal doesn’t mean they started working on it any earlier than the others. They’ve probably been working on all classes the same amount of time.
The difference is that ranger will receive the least player feedback, and that is not a good thing.

So much noob on this thread. Are people actually trying to say that trap rangers are op? They have no stun breaks, a passive condi clear every 10 seconds (useless), and run rabid. Which in this so called condi meta equates to full glass.
If you are dying to trap rangers, venom thieves, burn guards = you suck.

Few things here.
If you were running lb/GS then you were not running the optimal build. You also made no mention of what your skills/traits were so its possible that they also were not the optimal choices.
The dungeon meta was full zerk until the 23/6 patch and if you were not using zerk then your pug would have been justified in using that as an excuse for failure.
However since then the ranger meta has actually moved to sinister axe/torch. So if anything your group should have been annoyed that you were not using sinister rather than zerk.
This shows that most people are not up to date on what the current meta builds are, and people will just blame their failure on whatever they can.
Long story short, your build probably wasn’t the best but your pug had no idea either.

PvP has/had some semblance of balance. Wvw is a clusterfrak of buffs and nothing that holds there should be used as an indication of class balance.

Spirit health is fine, if people were actually afraid of killing them. Which is how area denial is supposed to work. But everyone knows they can just aoe them from range and they are dead.
For spirits to work as intended they need to be immune to everything other than melee damage.

Given the state of PvP balance over the past 12-15 months, I don’t think anet is taking meta builds into consideration.
I mean its obvious from the results that they don’t just sit there and say “well ranger is not in any teams, so lets do something to get them there”. They just don’t seem to work like that.
Which is a shame because its the only way they can make all classes viable.
They need to decide that there are X number of roles, and classes 1,2,3 can all do role one just as well as each other. 4,5,6 do role 2…etc.

Yeah I don’t particularly like how direct damage has 3 attributes related to it but condition damage only has 1 (from equipment). The highest damage “condi” builds isn’t even pure condition damage, but a mix of power and condition damage.
Right now (to the best of my knowledge) it’s impossible to match a direct damage build’s DPS via only condition damage. There isn’t anything wrong with this (or Dire would be hilariously OP) except for the lack of variety.
What I’d like to see: introduce condition duration and a third attribute that somehow enhances conditions. Then a build focusing on condi damage, condi duration, and this third attribute should be dealing around the same DPS as zerkers.
There are 3 stats that directly affect condition damage, the same as there is for direct damage.
They are condition damage, condition duration, and precision.
Maxing the 3 of those will give you the highest possible condition damage.

Conditions have been useless for 3 years. We’re only just entering a period where ppl have to actively manage their cleanses, the way it was always supposed to be, and you are complaining about it.
