Why: DS is not a reliable defense mechanic and you refuse to create proper defense because of it,self heals are still blocked,since lauch your direction with necro was not supported and real improvements were repeated constantly to the point we are asking if you are deaf
Suggestions: Create F1-5 skills that consume LF on usr,DS is no longer a second HO bar, traits that trigger on intrance or exit of it can be directed to skills,drain becomes reduction of LF usage, Blood Magic becomes decent,you have room for real improvements in defense and mobility and can stop forcing us to facetank in this great combat system,99.9% of necros will thank you
would be awesome to have invuln/reflect/stabil/boon sharing skills on f1-5 that use lf (for example: hold f1 to generate might around you, hold longer to channel more might for bigger price"

You must be new here. These forums are not only ignored, but I think ANet lost the roadmap to them. I have waited since bw1 for our “attrition” to actually be implemented and now I just use my necro as a well dispenser in WvW.

necro is not only bad but 95% necromancers i’ve encountered use pathetic builds/play very bad. (im speaking about dungeons of course)

I agree with everything Spoj has said about Curses and Spite specialisations.
I’m happy that chill will stack vuln, though I’d rather have this trait in curses, so I can pick 5% dmg for non-boon targets and still inflict vuln with chill

I have a question!
I want to know if necromancer will be looked at it’s PvE side, it’s undoubtedly the worst class for PvE (to the point of other players refusing to play with necromancers in dungeons and fractals, which isn’t really fun when considering myself a dungeon player), so I’m curious if this one time we’ll get a balance strictly for PvE.

they won’t. only the specialisation will bring a different mechanic. if you want to use DS then dont use elite spec.
yea necro is hopeless at soloing but if u r speced into power DS, it is fairly easy to not die

it’s actually bottom. something has to be bottom, the worst, otherwise we wouldn’t have the best (looking at ele in general, or war in survivability). necro is the only class that cannot solo lupicus anymore (excluding nomad gear etc)
3. bottom tier in everything (dps/support). The only top thing on necro is survivability
excuse me? we have 0 blocks and 0 vigor, 0 invulnerability, 0 endurance regeneration skills, full death shroud can be gone in 1 hit (and even sometimes will kill your both hp bars), 0 leaps, 1 escape that has to be precasted and can be killed, 1 escape that has to be precasted and you have 8/12 sec to use it or it’s wasted, our only aoe blindness is on a long utility cooldown and entering plague renders you harmless. our healing sustain is crippled as our healing signet has icd and our lifestealing traits are nothing compared to thief’s signet of malice
now that i’ve explained our uselessnes at soloing bosses or playing tough encounters, let’s talk about how useless we are at everything else, for example blasting, having useful field finishers, buffing party, having some utility?
Don’t be so snarky. Maybe devs are trying to get to the Lupicus and check what’s happening but pugs keep kicking them for not being zerk?

I would really like an option to disable some of my unlocked finishers so they won’t appear when I randomize them. It would encourage me to buy more finishers from gem store, as I would actually start using the randomizer option. I don’t want to use it with my vanilla pvp rank finishers.
Solution simple: allow us to deactivate finisher by right clicking on it.

Suggestion: Masters of the dark arts necromancers are dark paladins that summon half brained minions, manipulate the aggro mechanic and can suck the hope out of you. Necromancers grind to build Life Force and used it to tank damage wasting foes skills on them while your allies attack them, powerful even in death their downed state is fearful. Unlike their counterpart guardians necromancers are only capable to spec for best individual encounters.

The fix is pretty simple. Just move projectile point of origin to his head. It being on his belly is really convenient considering its the same height as the top of the wall. :P

particle effects have never been dyable, I don’t know why you thought this would be different.
Also outfits have been in the gem store since launch, for the record.
1) actually particles were dyeable
2) They were town clothes back then and you could mix them with other town clothes, now you can’t

Miku, actually the p3 Frienzed Blast works fine now, it was a bug that it could shoot you outside of red circle.
Yeah im on EU. I heard NA people don’t have problems with necro, but on EU the hate is really visible

If you’re going to do dungeons with it, get ready to be kicked from parties a lot, but otherwise sure play, wait for the GS specialisation and hope for better times
try blasting blinding powder with bone minions xD that is, if they moved a bit and thief doesn’t know how to position the field to get 2 blasts
but blasting a poison field creates weakness :d
I sometimes laugh at our blast finishers especially that one.
I didn’t know that and I just laughed so hard, it’s mocking our class beyond imagination XD (and I’m laughing because I’m out of tears)
I can’t see well of DARKness being an ice field instead of DARK xD maybe one of the wells could be a smoke field
I addressed this in my post dude, read more thoroughly for your own sake. It’s just dumb that blasting a skill gives the same effect as the skill itself.
Maybe your aggressive response would make any sense if I didn’t suggest a smoke field.
As Drarnom explained, many fields just repeat their original effect to improve it, and as soon as HoT is released, blasting dark fields will be the only way of removing defiance bar via blast finishers. (and actually it’s 3s blind, so it will remove more than thief’s powder tick (2s), and smoke screen tick (1s)

What shocked me the most was when I saw my guild mates were doing a rank 20 fractal in the LFG and joined in with my necro, and no had no idea that i would be unwelcome to join a guild run.. For a rank 20 fractal for not being meta, granted these individuals are a bit elitist but it truly came as a big surprise being excluded among guildies, from a low ranked fractal for not being meta. So if necro gets buffed or all meta gets nerfed, I truly don’t mind either of them as long as something changes. Cause this is ridiculous, having a whole community rejecting professions. ok this one was a bit of a rant, sorry

I too, have been kicked on sight from AC and even whisper “no necros, especially ugly ones” CAN U IMAGINE IT XD /though they were just pugs
