I saw a Metallica video where scientists in Russia were re-animating dead, headless, zombies. I think once you stick a flag in someone they should be removed from the site, or we should be allowed to torch the bodies. laying there for extended lengths of time is as cheap as alt-F4ing before a death, and exploiting to hop into a keep or tower. it’s all Dirtneck skillz and to confuse it with anything but being a bad winner or loser is silly.

Yeah man, was fun! FTF first went to eternal battlegrounds with GH. After we took everything there, we went to IOJ bl. There was a queue so we couldn’t get all our members to get in…but still great fights tonight! That back and forth was awesome. SoCo and AD got really noticed by my members as 2 of your best guilds. Great D !

Also, I had a quick 1 on 1 with a SoCo ele outside of bay at IOJ bl. After a 5 minute rolling with him, I had to go coz it won’t end and I need to lead my guild. Well props to him

Still jazzed about last night. As we have moved up in tiers we were forced to begin development of other methods. Our Match with Maguuma was a real eye opener for many of us in SoCo, and I think the server in general. We are developing and strengthening and working more and more as a team.

we had a fantastic Triumvirate running the show in IoJ last night. communication was orgasmic. cooperation was even better. A request would go out for a few people to go to A, B or C and it was normally a mix of a few people who would show up and simply work together like we were all wearing the same guild tag. Scouts, mini teams keeping lesser objectives moving along while larger groups would do something else. Support calls would go out from any location, and there was always a response from someone.

There was one point last night when we were getting leaned on pretty hard at SW tower. enemy numbers had grown and unfortunate luck had us getting pinched from the East and West. As we are struggling with the larger force attempting to hit from the Ruins, we are also getting pulled west to defend the SW camp. NoQQ and AD show up at a pretty fantastic time, and helped lead a rush across the bridge, into the ruins, up Ebays butt out their mouth then back in their mouth then proceeded to scratch, bite, punch and kick their way down and out Ebay’s butt again. There was a lot of excitement when that battle turned in our favor.

I’M WAS SO HAPPY MINE CUT OWN FINGER FOR BLEEDING ON PANCAKE TO THROW TO CHARRCAT FOR JOB GOOD DONE. GOOD CHARRCAT. GOOD CHARRCAT.

IoJ was flap jackin’ crazed tonight! It was non stop. FTF just kept on multiplying or something, we were eventually over run, then backed up over, and then ran over again.

Much like last week, there was a constant ping pong between the three teams. Ebay at the east wall, IoJ at the south. IoJ holds us at garrison long enough to drop a door and get wiped up by Ebay as they steamrolled in and finished it off. We are attacking North Hills, scout reports Large group of IoJ on it’s way.. ninja team disappears and let’s IoJ and Ebay duke it out.

Eventually we got squeezed.

A lovely game of gang up on the weaker server and let the already stronger server win by a mile!
We tried splitting our forces in both Eternal and our borderlands, only to lose bay in the first 5 minutes, then have immediate pressure on both Hills by EB, and Garrison by DR, all the while being pushed back in Eternal.
Just a little demoralising but im sure IoJ will not be breaking that easily!
Its only the beginning, fight on guys.

Just about everyone who reads this thread knows what IoJ has been trough. Fact is, things are planned out. I don’t think you will see too many people rubbing IoJ’s nose in their low numbers. Last week was filled with great battles despite the massive gaps in all our servers populations.

All you can do is fight the fight you are at, just like DR does with Ebay. We mostly know what the final results will be unless populations shift. IoJ won’t quit. this is going to be a fun week.

IoJ has put up a bunch of good fights this week. I’m happy to see you guys recover like you did over the last two weeks. Your match against maguuma was dismal.

Not sure where we will end up at 7, 8 or 9 server time, but I hope we are in the same match up. It’s been a week filled with awesome fights regardless of score. Ebay and IoJ have been awesome to play against. I hope I’m not getting spoiled by the amount of awesome people we have been playing.

We will be matched up from this week’s projections. After that all of the scoring that comes from server history and performance is wiped which will increase the volatility.

For example, one reason we are actually gaining points this week (so far) is that we are ahead of IoJ which used to be a higher teir server. If that history was wiped we’d be dropping instead of rising.

But I think the zerg has a lot of purpose, and I think the better way to deal with the situation is to give more incentive to do things is small groups, as opposed to giving less incentive to do things in zergs.

This is the answer. I really don’t see much reward or incentive for healing people, support classes, or defense. There is less loot in it, less badges, and less glory.

Why would anyone who only cares about themselves and loot do any of the above?

I don’t think a single activity will suffice. You will need an event.

Way to go on ruining what would have been a super unstoppable force that would have taken over most of Europe, Devona…. Remove white swords, and increase orange swords to 10+ players only.
This will encourage more tactful gameplay with the use of scouts etc a lot more.
Also remove waypoints.

I don’t understand how increasing the number of people to create orange swords makes things more strategic. You have made it easier to hide your numbers by 6 more people. 9 people .. 9 rams… could beat on a door for a minute or two and take almost anything out before anyone even knew.

I completely agree with this. My guild runs in small groups hitting supply camps and defending enemy reinforcement routes. It’s STUPID that the orange swords show up when there are “a total of 5 people” fighting each other. That means that if a party of 5 attacks a single person the orange swords show up on the map and the enemies 30 man zerg shows up immediately.

Yesterday, our group of 5 were demolishing enemy groups that were double our size but then all the enemies in the area start showing up because of the stupid swords. So the bad players get demolished but end up winning in the long run due to huge zergs showing up.

Please remove these swords or raise the player count required to trigger them to about 15-20. Leave the white contested swords, though.

I think it’s kind of smart to have it 4 or more on a single target throws up swords. if people don’t want swords up, they need to act accordingly. no more than 4 peeps on a target, and if you get into a tussle, you spread out. otherwise, swords.

The “crosshair” swords on the property itself is a fair indication to defenders. to go look. When you are dealing with populations that are not balanced, removal of those indicators will favor the zergs, and more than likely the server who boasts the largest population.

When you are dealing with one opponent with 3:1 population over the second place team for the match, 3rd place doesnt stand a chance in hell defending against either if they need a minimum of one person at every location they own.

I also laughed at the all there is to WvW is zerging comment. 1. to be wrong. 2. to think he is so right that if you prefer to think you need to go play another format.

Just because you want to be led around by a leash and spam attacks without thought does not mean everyone want’s that. If you think there isn’t room in WvW for both playstyles, you may want to consider preschool again. Zerging offers things that small man, roaming, turtleing, defending, can’t get done. But by no means is it the be all end all of WvW. Otherwise, WvW would be a lag free field that we could all just run into and kill people over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

Car doors are only for getting in the car, not for getting out. If you use a car door to get out of a car, you do not know how to use a car door. therefore you should either go get a motorcycle, or a moped, not drive a car.. FACT

I don’t care about the score. I care about fun and this has been a fun matchup.

It sure has been. Considering the beating we are taking in the score, I would expect the battles to be more one sided and the forums to be filled with Zerg complaints. Instead, most of the fights I have seen have been anyone’s fight up until the end, or whoever got the last minute support from their realm mates.

Win, lose or draw I hope to get this match up again.

It’s been really fun over in IoJ. Considering the population they currently have, they have made their map tremendous fun. Last night IoJ did a super job of leaning on the South. They kept DR and Ebay confined and it resulted in lots of 3 way matches.

Fighting in SE tower, IoJ close to kicking us out, Ebay shows up, kicked IoJ out, thinned themselves and gave us a chance to ninja some more supply into the tower to clean up what was left.

IoJ and Ebay fighting over SW tower, DR waits till the door is almost down, and ninja’s the tower from under them both.

Amazing battle up at the NW tower. almost had the North wall down, then next thing you know, IoJ is appearing like Agent Smith. over the hills, down from overlook, up from the Garrison, and more from the NW camp. Not Zergs, but small numbers that slowly trickled in and made the defensive mass grow, much like a puddle of mercury.

We were overwhelmed, wiped, and sent packing.

You could hear people smiling when they were talking in TS. A fun time was had by all. I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time killing with members of wD this week and it’s been a pleasure.

It is evident in the last screenshot that if you did the ritual wrong, you will be heavily punished by the followers of the Great Sky Lord Flame Ram.

I find it a little funny that a guild of fishermen would worship a Sky Deity. So strange. Does it effect your harvest? This is how I am confused by the worship of a single God. How would the Sky God help with water people such as yourselves? I can’t see how he can help.

This is why I worship the 7. Each with different power over elements. Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Bacon, Carbohydrates, Beer, and killing. Sure there are 8, but they vote before they go out and one always stays home.

It looks to me all one needs to do is shovel a mound of dirt or build a false support system under the Sky Ram, and then it’s just a Mortal ram lifted off the ground. To become mortal so easily is not safe for a God. This is why the Shoe Lace God fell to Velcro and Slip On’s when they merged into a sect of knot free foot ware fastening.

WvWvW even exists between shoes.

I know we aren’t doing to hot in WvW but the community that fights the fight is awesome!!!! I just started to get into WvW (actually just on Fri) but because of the players I in see and work with has made me want to do more for IoJ. I want to help introduce PvE players to it, I have already started the saving process to become a commander, and want to learn all I can to help IoJ rise in rankings. If you play IoJ and never been to WvW, JOIN US No matter what race, career, or level ( higher the better though) we can use you, YOU ARE IMPORTANT! And to all those who are fighting, no matter the outcome… Thank you.

I got to spend a few days on IoJ back in the early days, post launch. The Guild I was with at the time had just moved to DR, and DR’s population was still very very small. There was a time when 30 people in DRB was a lot! and we were pretty kitten lucky to control all 3 of the northern supply camps.

My guild at the time tried IoJ and another server. They eventually decided to stick with IoJ because the community seemed pretty great. I voted for IoJ when it came time. Alas, my family felt like it was still on DR, and I went back. I did attempt to plant the IoJ seed in SoCo as food for thought when I came back, but SoCo never moved so it was moot.

It is a game after all and most of us are here because we are hopelessly in love with the MMO. It’s never fun to see a server plummet and I was actually on Maguuma last week when you were facing them. It’s unfortunate, but once you guys finish your fall, I think you will recover pretty nicely.

SoCo was assigned to IoJ for the weekend and we had a blast out there with you and Ebay. Constant back and forth, great efforts from all three sides slowly working themselves up and down the map. Massive Camp battle and small man Keep attempts. IoJ had it all this weekend and I am overjoyed to see you more active this week than last.

You made some great pushes and knocked DR out of second on the point tick a few times. This weekend in IoJ was a shining example of how awesome WvWvW dynamics can be. DR had it’s butt saved a few time because of intervening Realms rolling up on our opposition. I really hope we did the same for Both Ebay and IoJ at some time.

I met a lot of new friends on IoJ’s map this weekend. You Guys are great, and I do look forward to meeting again. I think we will in weeks to come!

The history of the 7 siege is my preferred reading when it come to discovering where I come from. Maybe I am a bit old fashioned. But I just can’t warp my head around this single entity of worship. The 7 are fair and Have been kind.

We don’t want to move up, but it would be nice to kind of stick around or near this bracket and we need a few more WvW objective-focused guilds to do that.

Devona’s Rest has a Public TeamSpeak Server that was up and running last night, and the improvement we experienced with our collective team was phenomenal. Today it appears to be on the fritz. .. ..Hammering things out. ..

Indeed! The Voice Server came up late last night and remains in tact this am.

Anyone out there roaming the borderlands or EB wanting to be more involved, this is your chance. Ask for the information in map, people will share. Many, many, of your Server Mates are pulling this together and the results so far have been pretty fantastic.

Amazing Fights out there! There was one point where Ebay were hitting us through the Thatch Choke point while IoJ would alternate with your pushes from the water. After one of the most amazing battles many of us have had in a long time, one of us says, “How the hell did we live?!”

I think most of us wondered that.

DR has suffered enough over the past few weeks! We have lost some guilds, and many of the PvP Pink Hats have flocked off to other servers, yours included, I imagine. We have been Host to multiple Forum PvPers who’s skill in duels are only matched by the unfortunate circumstance that causes them to lose when they don’t win. A few, like dingle berries, continue to dangle off the Rump-end of DR’s Pubis region, Like a stain on the taint of our server. Maguuma, I beg. I plea. Find the compassion in yourselves to stop this madness.

IoJ was a blast tonight!! You woke up a little late, but it was great when you got in the mix. Pure chaos in every direction. Some great fights against FTF and numerous other Ebay and IoJ groups. SE Tower and Camp were packed with superb large and small brawls. Thanks to all for an amazing night of pvp!

DR! holy kitten! You guys were amazing in IoJ tonight! Communication was .. was.. off the mother kittening hook!! Lj did a better than fantastic job of spearheading the map. She was a multitasking sexy mamma jamma. Lots of kick kitten support from all our other Commanders, Sky, SoCo, Tron, Rega wD and DDLG. Information and feedback was constant, team work was amazing. Amazing.!

It might be easy to reform the part if there are only 3 people and one logs off, but if you have a full party and someone does it, you need to stop what you’re doing, tell everyone to leave the party, and then remember who to invite. On top of this, you cannot even right click them in the old party chat to invite them to the party because the option doesn’t show up.

Don’t forget long names with 2 and 3 words and special characters.

I imagine you didn’t learn much because we were being dumb 18 hours of the day from boredom.

On the contrary. I learned a lot. I hope a healthy percentage of your newcomers pick up on what you have going on there. Amazing! My DR heritage make’s us fantastic Rivals, imo, but Both K and DR started at the bottom, and clawed and scratched at each other like runt siblings as larger servers took turns administering bi-weekly beatings. K rose, and fell, DR Rose and fell, and During that time K rebuilt and rose again. It’s a pretty fantastic story and I really am happy for every single one of you who stuck it out, worked to improve your home.

I see you got new members, guilds, and from some reading some new ideas on how to approach things. That’s awesome. I wish you well this week and Do look forward to our next match up. I missed last weeks match, but I will be looking forward to the next time we meet in another Sox Vs. Yankees type match up.

Yeah but I specified guild drama for a reason. Despite being one of the few servers that unites its players not by guilds, but by participation, we never have imploded from it.

You have a few wonderful differences that will prevent implosion for quite some time. Nobody can predict a half year or more, but what you have now is very well crafted. Impressively so. 100% sincere.
