ranger frost spirit has a 10 sec ICD for it’s passive effect. i can’t find any skill worse than this, and this is by not mentioning that they die alot. (unless tooltip is wrong)

i’d go necro just because of the fact that claiming they can’t hit multiple targets in one skill is wrong. it’s easy to blast several mobs with lifeblast.

Rangers have no respect in dungeons!

if these skippable mobs were to drop something such as 7-8 silver each, worth the time killing them, i wouldn’t skip.
but it’s a players nature to not do something that wastes time, but it really is more fun to kill everything.. and get parrots to do damage.

since i’m not able to post in the suggestions forums, i’m posting this here.

just as we have a “Dailies” tab in achievement panel to check if our daily missions are done, we need a “daily dungeon” tab. Self explanatory but ill explain:

if i do a dungeon such as Twillight Arbor, it will be shown in the daily dungeon tab and marked as finished and it will reset the next day as unfinished.

currently we have no tabs present for this, and many players tend to suspect or forget completely if they have done a daily dungeon… and in my case (i forget alot) i end up not doing a certain dungeon when i suspect i’ve done it just to make sure i’m not doing it for nothing, and then i remember the next day for some reason.. crap i had not done it..

add this achievement tab as this will be fairly the most used tab in the game imo.

(also, i’ve posted a topic once in suggestions forums, about making range indicator clearer and you automaticly assumed i am bad at suggesting, and thus why i can’t make any more topics there? thanks alot.)

i agree it should definitely be called level and not rank. just the meaning of these words determines the word “level” suits better for these numbers that gets increased due to continuos playing in spvp.

some of these bad pugs tends to be smarter than you realizing there are no bunkers in his team and they have, thus he goes for the best vulnerable base which is far.

i don’t usually bash anet along with the community… but when thinking about what can i say to calm the people down in here… there really isn’t anything that could prove anet are not guilty for this behavior of the community… lol idd..

like, saying something like they don’t have enough money or whatever is hard to believe… we’ve seen too many players buying stuff for 800 gems, 10 euro or dollars, and that is something we counted without including the hidden stuff you could buy such as expansions of other stuff.

this creation of high expectation is really high, get the workers working full power for 3 days in order to get our pvp legendaries obtainable, our double sigils in a 2h and the other easy methods around obtaining a precursor. i didn’t say this to sound like an order, just saying as this would probably be the stuff to be made now to provide the satisfaction needed for the community.

I must say, switching to zerker armor / knight trinkets made me aware alot more of all the dangers around me, I like it alot!

I’ve tried GS/Hammer, but it didn’t really fit my play style too much. I have the idea that GS/S+F is doing alot more damage in the end.

yea i wonder why most people get this idea.

gotcha, then for fractals as you mentioned is a different story.

im just gonna sit and compare a bit with steady weapons in HoTM.

edit: i was thinking i might as well use 20/25/0/25/0. this way i only sacrificed a boosted concecration skill in exchange for damage. however, i still use concecration, just a lower performance version.

i’m not considering 25 zeal a comparison to 25 radiance, 25 zeal is the bonus. EP is the comparison, ofc it’s better with 25 radiance but i can live with dodging, is what i assumed.

i do get the point of blind spams, im just further experimenting if it’s any big deal if i have access to only 2 for now.

i would like to do further comparisons but i don’t get what you mean by “it’s lower” as it’s a flat 10%. you mean due to evading that takes 0.75 sec of my time? or was this concluded due to a calculation? elaborate a bit so i can compare this properly. thanks.

we do indeed need a solution for this “use a firefield before executing hammer AA chain”. this could be it and just “next field” is not enough, make it next 3 and a wep swap cancels it imo =)

ooooh how nice.. no.. nice that we finally got a source of movement impairing effect… but thieves gets a 7 second cripple on each pulse while guardians gets 1 sec? still no.. not worthy at all.

Yeah, be my guest, use that build. When you’ll have more confidence in your skills, you won’t need that many dodges and you’ll switch back to obal’s builds.

If you move 5 from Honor to Radiance, you dodge less but you can spam blinds. I prefer blinds as it benefits the group to not have to dodge where with Elusive Power, you only increase your own dps while forcing people to dodge and lose dps.

i see your point.

however, trash mobs are still not a problem and one or two blind is usually enough for our group to take them out (as i have two sources ready not counting renewed focus). at end dungeon play /bosses you can’t spam blind so it’s also useless to have the trait vs boss + blind is 10% effective otherwise a thief could spam blackpowder and boss never hits.

let me remind you again. the reason i picked this trait line is because radiant tree provided no boost to hammer whatsoever, and even obal says there is nothing to pick and best there is, is the 3 vuln on blind one. i didn’t pick the build to dodge more, i actually don’t care if vigor was there or not.

his build however, provides access to sword/focus when he needs it, and since i don’t plan on using sword/focus and stick to hammer (as it does quite good damage, just we don’t see the high numbers) i see myself benefitting more from switching the traits if i won’t use sword anyway, more scepter/focus when needed however.

i need replies here from people who has tested this build and would reconsider it. not just bashing me about obal. i read about obal, tested it, but tried to figure out a better hammer build that hammer could benefit from more.

wonder if people will be less hating on elusive power once the vigor trait is being nerfed to 10 sec CD.

you are still just trying to prove elusive power is useless.

im not using sword, so all autoattacks are kinda weak except when hammer drops aoe, and dodging doesn’t interrupt the AA chain for hammer.
so meaning;
dodge-> drop GS bursts -> hammer blast and dodge + AA untill GS is ready. could always time these dodges during a boss attack which is less than 5 sec obviously.
in short:
since im not autoattacking, shouldn’t dropping bursts after a dodge, and dodge while only autoattack is available not matter that much?

so you assume in your calculations that a radiant power guardian never dodges in a dungeon? is it so bad to be dodging for the sake of not taking damage?

so im still looking to hear about something other than elusive power of how this dps is.

this calls for calculations of how much the symbols damage can do along with the main attacks, the tooltips shows pleasing numbers, except for hammers as it is bugged and not showing numbers that includes the 2 sec duration icnrease.

also, pls consider that there is 100 more power in 25 zeal than 15 zeal, and GS still gets its trait, and i will not use sword in this build.

Obals build is better, it offers more damage because radiant power affects all damage you deal (reflects, other weapons), not just symbols and overall is a higher dps bonus than using 25 in zeal. Honor 25 (elusive power) is bad as you are never realistically upholding that many dodges. Your build doesn’t have 15 in radiance for spamming might/vuln and more important blinds. I would suggest just using Obal’s build

I use this build for fractals 49 and 40 which I do daily

By 40’s and 49’s I am referring to fractals of the mists

your linked build contains:
+10% from radiant power, and 10% from burn. 150 precision more

my linked build contains: +10% from elusive power, 10% burn, 10% symbols (and more vuln duration) and 100 power more.

power and precision could be exchanged in stats either way IF wanted.

pls don’t consider that elusive power is useless in this case.

hammer build.

now i’ve read obals guide of hammer build. but i was just wondering, nothing in radiance boosts hammer, so why not trying to figure out a better dps hammer build that isn’t just for mobs (adds) (due to VoJ spam with might stacks 5 sec), and instead boost up the symbols (honor + zeal)(which he mentioned as well due to 20 in honor, but did not go 25 into zeal).

also, i like dodging alot, so i’ll have my elusive power on permanently no prob, its how i’m used to anyway.

for the lack of 150 precision which is the difference in stats between obals and mine, i was thinking of just getting few assassin’s or just add a sigil of perception in a secondary greatsword in bag. idk, what do you suggest? plenty of options to use.

currently i’ve got only exotics with ascended amulet so i won’t be able to show any accurate stats of mine, however with my exotics i currently have 46% crit chance (without any assasins gear or buff stacks) (using ruby orbs). that should increase obv with ascended but i dont know how much.

so 1.what are the flaws here?
2. is it viable and should i use it?
and do mention if you have used it and ended up not liking it or still use it (or will use it).

Do me a favor and hire the guy who made these fake patch notes, at least for guardians, he knows what he is doing.

No he doesn’t. These notes include buffs to spirit weapons. That is the last thing this game needs. And if you think it does then congrats you think like anet.

it seems to me that you read only the part where it says “increased spirit weapon damage by 10%” and stopped. if you read further, it says the trait that increased their damage is 30%. it used to be 50%. so this results in a 10% nerf in damage

though i disagree on spirit weapons being nerfed. the only OP nasty one is hammer, and that’s due to CC not it’s damage, i would like to see some use of the sword one more often, imo sword needs to have 50% more damage not a nerf of 10% lol

imo team q is way harder when you don’t have a premade team of 5.
any less and you may end up with pugs because of the solo joiners.

also, since making a premade takes more effort (or sometimes not) it’s still something more than going solo. solo joiners in team q defo have a less chance of winning

Ele should technically be in a much better spot come the feature build.

Pretty anxious not gunna lie..

Ele is the only balanced class right now. You should rather tune down everyting else.

But why do I even care. PvP patches are so rare. I will never be able to take PvP serious and truely enjoy it at that pace.

first of all. no ele definetly.

secondly, don’t we want people to use LFG more? it’s a very ignored tool that i wish people were using often.

however, if the party formed does not care what builds the others are using they are to be blamed for the bad performance.

we could simply use LFG, form group, ask eachother what they are, have an incoming of “no bunker?” -> “i go bunker”. meaning they set up the team the way they like before start OR just leave the group when you think it’s not working. ---> here you have the choice to not be randomed up with people you don’t prefer

TL;DR, getting the LFG system more active for tpvp would be great.

oh one more thing; remove joining as solo for team queue and joining as 4 people.

it would be a wise choice to let us exchange the mats of equal value you would gain from chests. if you’re doing something to award people who has many chests unopened, it should be done to the mats as well.

we who have opened the chests because of your confusing posts “all random existing reward chests will disappear” need to be able to exchange our useless arcane powder/crystal/silver/orbs that we got in massive amounts for nothing (atm).

i just dont get why immunity to conditions is the only choice anet could think of. why not a 40% of all condition damage is reduced when under 30% health instead of immunity (don’t forget to apply it to fear damage as well).

if you find same situation in 5s, leave the point and cap another, you are most likely outnumbered. 1-2 mesmers is the max you should be fighting at a point imo

just think about it yourself, if you play a profession you are good at and you are so sure you’d beat the guy and you don’t due to lucky dodges or missed attacks, you feel eager to come back to destroy him.
well, some in such cases not only feels it, but feels the urge to say it. these people don’t know how to shut up but it’s normal to find these people. this never happens in wvw although i’ve seen flames about commanders who suck lol.

all in all, the solution is to just click the block button.

since the problem is mainly how fast they can die, just increase health pool.

but no for increasing armor if healing abilities stays the same, if toughness goes up, healing must go down.

If you entered the match from PvE and leave the match before the time at the end runs out, you go back to “PvE World”. If you enter from PvP you are brought back to PvP.

Meaning: There is already the option you are looking for. You just may not enter a PvP match from the heart of the mists.
Hope this helps.

the suggestion of others make me wanna puke, gold trim capes? get over gw1 already. legendary weapon skins for high tier? if you want legendary play all aspect of the game. if they implement legendary weapons achievable in pvp only i will go to anet and slap them with the box of guildwars 2 game i purchase and demand they pay me for the time i spent doing everything from map completion to getting mats and playing WvW just to get my legendary. some kitten pvp players think they intitle for everything in this game without playing the other aspect.

and what if we don’t like playing in pve or wvw? even if we made a legendary in these areas it seems kind of pointless if we aren’t staying to play in them.

as for this video.. he definetly would have done better vs that ranger if he had used the venoms one at a time, especially since the ranger pulls all conditions, starting out with the poison venom and then wait untill pet pulls it gives you a timing for you to burst with torment

and immobilize can’t be stacked following devourer venom so pls no1 try that, it’s changed. you have to wait untill the condition is off the person in order to restack it

when i first found this build i found it to be my style rather than being Neo and dodge evrything.

however, as some1 mentioned, dodge screws you..
and think of mesmers, staff leap 2 makes you waste venoms on his clones, no piercing bullets, going pistol whip hits aoe on clones as well, going dagger.. you hit clone alone just like a pistol / dag.

it’s a good build and i still prefer it but not for all situations.

worse situations would be people with a zoo around them, be it clones, spirits+pet or minions, it takes quite alot of focus to be able to land your hits vs those players

then comes the ones are able to just a tiny bit use their brain and focus to land a fear / other cc correctly when they are not blinded or when thief is dodging. no CC breakers, thus it’s considered a risky build. but still a better burst story than backstab imo.

what really makes me in love with this build is the downing of bunkers within 5 seconds with a teammate with you. i guess that is the role of this build.
