Right now the Dragon Ball achievements don’t count towards the 10 required to get the wings. Still not sure if it’s a bug or it’s intended though, anet haven’t said anything yet.

I previewed them on my Sylvari yesterday and they looked awesome, so it’s some races only then.

I sure hope it’s a bug, but I wonder why is it taking them so long to tell us if it indeed is?

Lol. It’s still a very fun activity, but my guess is that it’s just bugged at the moment as they haven’t stated that those achievements don’t count.

It’s a bug in my opinion which hopefully will be addressed soon. Both the Dragon Ball achievements don’t count as of yet. Can someone at ANet confirm if this is a bug or working as intended please?

I’m going to have to agree with AG on this whole RS is a boring server to fight issue. There was a reason we kicked you out of T3 in favour of BB, BB although they blob they actually send people out to fight in the open. They have guilds that run around and do stuff(not as much as AR but like 1000x more than RS did). I said it in our last matchup no server wants to play with you, you’re the kid that would always get picked last to be on a team. There is a reason for this, just think on it for a bit…………………you might get it eventually if enough people/servers tell you(oh wait reading through all the old matchup threads, every server you faced for the last 6 months agrees…….you’re boring).

Oh and ‘ello TUP boyo’s can’t wait til we face you guys, want some decent action soon, wiping RG is getting boring and passe so fast(although it’s fun turning Sacrx into a Moa every fight, just for the lols).

Haha I just hope we don’t face each other soon as you will probably kick our kitten. It still might be a good match-up though, who knows :P

People saying “it doesnt make up for this or that etc..” Really? It’s more than most other companies do. It’s something small and shows they care for the customers. It’s a very good move from them. No one is making you buy gems anyway.

I really like the Staff, Longbow and the 1H sword. I’ve been trying to find a Staff that I like for quite some time now..fingers-crossed I’ll be able to get that one!

You guys DIDN’T make the hardest (supposedly) to acquire weapons in the game basically a game of RNG where you can buy literally every part except skillpoints and karma, right? Where doing anything requires a ton of money? Or make it so any of the other near-legendary weapons require 250 of cashsink X to get, right? You surely didn’t do that, did you?

The issue here is there’s a difference between wanting to put the playerbase in a “you don’t have to farm” mindset and literally making farming so bad it’s not worth our time in any aspect. And if that’s the case you’re not even doing that right (see: cof).

I promise you that if we change anything involving ectos, there will be public information on it.
Some may be skeptical if they haven’t interacted with me before, and that’s ok, but as long as I’m working with the economy, information on ecto changes will be public, end of story.

I wouldn’t even think twice about it. The game has problems certainly, but nothing is perfect. I’m having a blast still playing and it was well worth my money. So, yes, I’d buy an expansion.

It’s really hard for me to chose a particular one. There are great ones in all 3 categories as there are some I don’t like. But, for me (and I’m probably biased since I wear that one) the best one is Sylvari Cultural Heavy Tier 3! Love that set <3

At least the items can be obtained from killing mobs in the zone now, although the chance will be ridiculously low it is still something I guess.

What’s with the Instant-Gratification Generation (IGG) spilling over into MMO’s lately? This game is less than 1 year old (will be 1 year in August) and we have 5 fantastically flushed out races and 8 very unique classes. Like most other games, this game will not have a new race or class provided until at the very least 1.5-2 years into the game. These demands are becoming slave-driving against the developers.

So, please, stop asking. If you don’t like what we already have…..go play something else.

Completely agree with you. I don’t mind the discussion now and again, but I’m seeing topics like this too often now, and the game is just too “young” for it to implement new races and classes.

I’ve always loved having a Two-handed sword on the back of my character, so for that reason – Greatsword. And in the MMO’s I’ve played usually they are the items that look the best (at least in my opinion). Plus – it’s more mobile :P

Mine isn’t really a quote from a character but it can be seen when creating an Asura. Can’t remember the name of the Asura that has said it, but here it is – “Planning ahead is for ninnies who think they can predict every possible outcome.The future is mutable!Go with the flow!” Amazing quote!

If we don’t take into account the fact that dual-wielding shields simply sounds wrong (at least for me) where would the character, for example, keep both shields? Both of them on the back? Surely not. And just trying to imagine my character running with two shields I cannot stop laughing. So a no from me. Dual swords would be better! :P

I played for..an hour just after reset and it was terrible so to speak. Nothing but zergs and lag! I do hope it won’t be like this all weak. Good luck to all!

Just create a new alt and level it, you can hit from 1 to 80 in a day.

Farming for armor is also simple and fast, can’t see the issue here.

You’ll be surprised how big of a factor money is! If enough people want this implemented and they can do it, why not? They’ll make a really nice profit out of it I’m sure of that.

It’s just how decided to go. Doubt there is any real reason behind it. I’d love to have a Darkness-based Heavy profession though, but I’m not in a rush for any new professions :P

I’ve never played the first Guild Wars game, but from reading posts on this thread and watching some videos I’m considering buying Factions just so I can experience Cantha! Bring it to GW2!!!

I wouldn’t mind new professions personally, but people should stop with these threads already. I doubt we will see any new ones soon – the game hasn’t even been out for one year for God’s sake! We may see new professions or weapons added to the current ones in a future expansion, bug again I don’t think that will be soon.

They don’t look that bad, I’m liking some of them. And plus, it’s a nice change from most items :P

Personally, I’d love to see some kind of elementalist/knight class. Heavy armor, and uses elemental magic to charge their weapons in battle. Basically, an elementalist that wears heavy armor and works in melee range (and maybe uses a bow or rifle at times). More flexable than guardians or warriors with any one weapon, but fewer weapons to choose from.

If there was such a class, I’d wait and release it with Tengu as player characters.

That would be extremely overpowered! I wouldn’t mind an Anti-Guardian profession. We’ve got the more holy themed profession covered up, so it would be nice to have a heavy one that relies more on darkness.

I can’t say I’m disappointed to be honest. I’m a little concerned by the Warrior trait and the Thief skill but I’ll wait to see how it will turn out in-game. So all in all not bad patch notes. Signets getting some love is good too!

Bring dem RG on! I’ve watched quite a lot of your videos (Red Guard) and loved every single one of them! Can’t wait to face you on the battlefield! Hoping for some good fights. May the best server win!

Guardian has been my main since the Beta Weekends and it won’t change. I’ve never had so much fun playing a class in an MMO. I’ve played all the others in GW2 but none give me the satisfaction I get when playing a Guardian :P
