It’s not oceanic yet. What you’re seeing is BG late NA, which I think SoR could use more of.

It was cute how you built 3 AC’s as well as having your blob.

The numbers needed to create a “blob” are getting smaller and smaller. Soon running any more than a 5 man will be considered blobbing it up.

In before the calls of 7 man mini blobs everywhere. But in all seriousness guys, stop using blob as a substitute for zerg just because it seems like the cool thing to do. 30 isn’t a blob, any numbers above 50 can be considered a blob – so if you call SoR blob inc and its like 15 guys I’ll give you a slap upside the head if you are on server.

Commanding in EU usually meant that I would’ve had to have taken militia and coordinate dual hits with HB and RK – staying up to fight them to see how they would fare (tbh they had a low guildee showing) wasn’t because I wanted to burn at both ends and was doing overtime. If you command a lot you often want to see if the guys you usually play with are up to scratch, playing in EU was more because I was curious to see if RK/PLX/HB would smash my group (95% JQ militia) as JQ has been historically weak in EU as it has no current guilded presence. There is plenty of militia in that time-slot, all they need is someone to lead them (cough cough, need EU guilds).

Pretty sure the maths works out, it means that the old permutation of JQ/BG/SoR is just as unlikely to pop up as the old TC/FA/SoS matchup. The results going to be pretty predictable imo if the old T2 servers get matched up with the old T1 servers, won’t exactly be as bad a blowout as SoR vs Anvil rock but yeah expect a lot of blowout rounds.

Wow, TW has stopped lifting – only one omega. I’ve seen Pryan use 4 omegas and a 50+ zerg go for a paper keep, one omega and a ~30 people is nothing.

Fun fights tonight when we got up and running and not being pursued by a map blob tonight, WM and Omen are always a pretty solid open field so it was good to have a couple of goes at them. Although I think the Charr guard omen commander hates me now since I immediately try to spike him every engagement – thanks man for the fights its good to get some open field practice.

We know exactly what MERC was made of. Ralikh and Tarkus would stay up passed 4 am running the float everyday. For that, we are nothing but thankful for the months of leading us.
@MERC, Hope you guys have fun on JQ, we will definitely miss you. Last night farming JQ at those 2 bays was the best way you could have ended your journey on BG.

That was the intention as I wanted to leave on a high note, yeah I did transfer last night. Its kinda disgusting though that the second that we leave that a lot of the leadership of blackgate turned feral, you wouldn’t have been in T1 if it wasn’t for our help and the way certain members reacted has effectively burnt all bridges. Nice to know all of the hours we put in got turned around so quickly.

From the reaction given to us not 6 hours in I know what server I’ll be focusing in Oceanic and late PST. No sympathy.

If he did, it was probably because he couldn’t get his crew into bgbl while [ge] and the enthusiastic pugs were there trying oh so hard to take bay and wouldn’t move off so the man could do his work. I guess because ge thought they could do better or…they were just hard tunnel vision mode.

Whatever the case was, ge sure did us a service! It’s a lot easier to defend against them than Waha with his much more disciplined [ATM] military.

Despite what you may think GE’s leader is still inexperienced in fielding borderlands. His role started to shift from EB to borderlands a few weeks ago. He’s testing out various methods and see what BG does. He’s not used to the 15+ superior carts that BG used last night, and I just offered some additional advice to attack bay (I’m also new from EB, started wvwing 1-2 months ago, glad to know BG’s happy in beating down the inexperienced).

When it comes to fair open field battles you guys didn’t win much, did you.

Ge’s improving a lot as I remember fighting them in EB before and they were, I’m just going to say a lot less strong as they are now. I can tell they’ve worked well on comp (looks and feels to me like a 80% heavy comp), and in the numbers that they were fielding it was pretty impressive that we held on as long as we did on bay (ala queued map v non queued map). I heard that it was taken after I tagged down, so gg regardless.

What the hell is with the lag in the bls, there was no map blob there and only scouts and roamers on BG bl where everyone was complaining of ~4000+ms lag as well as 10 second lag spikes. My guess that the bloodlust changes are largely to blame.

I have yet to see anything more than rumor and speculation that guilds were ever paid to join a server.

There is a difference between helping a guild (who in all likelihood was going to transfer anyway) get all of it’s members over by donating/loaning gold to them and outright paying them gold to transfer to a server.

How about we deal with facts, supported by real evidence, rather than this crap that’s going around lately?

I’ve talked to a friend. The guild got 100% paid.

If you get a collection of anecdotes it is not fact, just a pile of anecdotes. There are no problems with offering help for transfers if they legitimately want to come over – I also love the implication that if you help people out and not be a selfish kitten it is observed as a negative thing.

Our 30 man float went to SoR bl last night when JQ was hitting bay and we were outnumbered in the start of SEA (i.e. we had all of our active players with us albeit scouts and we had the outnumbered buff, hence why I was yolo’ing hills so much) – for the remainder of the night all of our SEA was on one map and it totaled 40 players (15-20 MERC, 12-15 TMD + militia). While we were doing this we knew that SoR was running full map blob as was JQ – don’t kid yourself into believing the propaganda that keeps being pummeled out on the forums to try and halt recruitment.

He follows the Commander tag and lays down regular Ballistas everywhere we stop to drop Flame Rams, or in the middle of an openfield fight, very obvious griefing. Here is an example screenshot series, he got in a golem and jumped off the ledge at Hills. Is there anything can we do about it? There is a general mapchat assumption that he is being paid by SoR forces, but that seems very unlikely.

Manualbreathingx is on SoR – also a member of BALL and I guess a second account. SoR is being trolled as well and I doubt that he is “doing it for a server”, the greatest likelihood is that he’s just a solo troll that does it for the lulz like most trolls.

Thanks for the fights this week, good luck FA in the next matchup; hopefully you don’t get matched up with BG/SoR/JQ as I get the sense that a lot of the FA guys felt the squeeze of fighting outmanned in coverage gaps. Hopefully the new maps will bring people back to the game, as it’ll punish the servers that super stack and help those who have mod WvW pops (via queue times and PuGs).

Four random BG, no voip, no comp, versus eight FA (Six APS, two pugs), possible voip, most likely no comp. You may notice I put a numbers over two Knights because one is a mesmer and the other is a necro. I was the only BG that got downed in that fight due to a JQ on a cannon in bay.

Don’t take what people write on the forums to heart, people have to feel superior to others in whatever way. I’ve seen some dumb-kitten PuGs on FA/JQ/BG, everyone has them – the op was just basically only trying to boost his own ego.

That was a great fight over bay the past few hours BG. Not something I want to do every night, but it was one of the few sieges I’ve actually ever enjoyed and that is saying a lot with how much I hate sieging anything but paper. Shout out to CA and MERC of course for their defense. Wouldn’t want to do it again, but that was a very rewarding and competitive fight.

Agreed +1, SoR has had OC that offered competition in the old matchupand in FA/JQ we have little to fight against (although FA may be getting some more OC soon). Nothing can be helped about thakittens not like we’re suddenly going to stop playing because a large portion of the hardcore oceanic base has left the game – we have to get all the fights we can get and prepare for match-ups where the other servers have that said coverage.

Just out of curiosity, how many oceanic players does FA run per night? Looking to find some fights this week, and its good to have different competition. Sadly enough I don’t think OC will be a competitive timezone soon as too few guilds still play WvW seriously in GMT+10 (i.e. all of SoRs OC are PvX and get demoralized too quickly if they lose on open field with equal numbers, whilst JQ doesn’t have OC coverage at all). If I wanted to PvE, I’d be playing another game.
