OK guys on a blast finisher skill or on a blast combo because there is a huge difference.
Yet in mobas almost everyone gets identical items or the best in slot for their character. They have a meta just like gw2.
I will say mobas are extremely mechanic intensive, probably one of the most in gaming. But you can’t call a game like company of heroes tactical and a moba at the same time.
I don’t know what kind of obscure mobas you play are playing, but I’ll disagree.
.
.
.I only touched on DH because I know it well and I don’t play Mesmer. Unlike you, I don’t attempt to discuss minute details of things I don’t know. But hey, shockingly, someone else already pointed out you got that wrong too.
The only thing you’ve proven is that you cry about skills you don’t know about, you make-up the facts you don’t know (instead of looking it up,) and then declare you won’t respond when a silly thing like facts gets in the way of your crying. Given your refusal to respond to the rest (making up empty excuses to ignore the facts), it’s clear you’re now being intentionally dishonest to make your “point.”
Dude i love you.
OK guys think about this change:
Reduce Stances CD by a lot but limit it to only one stance up at time. (popping a new stance removes the other stance effect.)
Nice attempt at All is Vain

This should be stickied every ranger player should know this.
Good suggestion.
bring the controllable smoke field back.
there is a bug if you use the improved virtue of resolve trait in the virtue traitline wing of resolve will go back to it’s old numbers try it without the trait and you will heal for 4k.
Yeah when you take beastly warden, the taunt seems to cancel the pet F2 you have to wait for the taunt then use it again. This is a serious issue.
Not a bug working as intended and I am pretty sure that duration stacking boons get an application threshold.
Seriously it is game breaking and should be fixed ASAP.
MAIN HAND FOCUS!
@Aereniel.7356 thx for those pics they look so intense!
Just so you know, the war can use balanced stance/dolyak signet before casting warbanner to avoid getting CCed and only two professions (mesmers/thieves) are capable of ripping that stability reliably.
which mean the warrior used a 60/40 cd utility skill + a 240 cd elite to “secure” resses seems pretty fair to me.
really good games and work from both team.
selfless daring guardian maybe. some vamp necro maybe.
well lets talk about the fact that it removes condi from allies but not the guardian.
make the active give 2 stacks of burn.
How does Stone Spirit go and did Spirit of Nature have it’s CD reduced?
spirit of nature cd is now 120 sec (formerly 180 sec).
and stone spirit gives a lot of protection with its passive and the pulse, also if an enemy if hit by the detonation of the active (the immobilizing part) the stone spirit can proc the sun’s passive.
If you want to see/try something fun take storm and sun spirit, summon them near a dummy, equip a torch blow your spirits and use torch 4 and 5 on the dummy.(fun times)
or you know maybe they should streamline resistance.
Support Spirit ranger with some BM flavor
- Bear for condi removal
- Drakehound for its f2 (great synergy with taunt)
- Sun spirit is your main offensive support and the active lets you dish out some good AOE burning
- stone spirit is your defensive support its active is procs sun spirit passive putting the ICD on the stone spirit but using your condition damage stats to hurt the enemy (same with storm spirit).
- emphatic bound + bear + signet of renewal for the much needed condi removal in the current state of the game.
- with 900 healing power “heals as one” heals for 7.4 k
- the rune of the adventurer + sigil of energy combo gives a lot of dodge synchronizing with companion’s defense.
For a more offensive version of the build you can drop Spirit of nature for entangle and use the runes of the krait, each roots spawned by entangle can get the sun spirit’s passive potentially dealing a huge amount of aoe condi burst.
(next working on some power ranger)
I notice you have Invigorating Bond and a Fern Hound but no Natural Regeneration, the extra 450 healing power would definitely help this build more than Wilting Strike imo.
Also, you know that the Fern Hound’s Regeneration will overwrite your own? It having 0 healing power and you having 900?
Well at this point i dropped the fern hound for a drakehound, I still prefer the aoe weakness to some more healing power on the pet. The drakehound f2 works really well with taunt. Finally i invest in healing power mainly for it’s scaling with Heal as One 7,4K heal on a 14 sec CD while traited is huge.
It’s sad but a guard needs virtue and valor.
fire + poison trap + torch 5 + pet taunt on dog.
traps are viable.
The passive aoe is small but acceptable, the real problem is that the skill is in competition with RF, and with its current drawbacks (CD + cast time) I really don’t see a point in taking it over RF.
The CD cripples the signet lets be real:
If you manage to cast the signet (luckyyyyyy) you then have 3 min with literally nothing, and with how fast people dies in the current state of the game using this skill in a game changing fashion will be near impossible. Really think Anet should go with a 2 min CD on that one.
3v3v3 after playing the new overthrown dota2 custom game mode, I am in love with the format.
Zealot or RIot!
Yet, no zealot amulet.
that mace please an actual mace looking mace.
As I said in another thread long ago it’s all about risk vs reward:
“Why do everyone play Zerk in pve, because the risk is nonexistent, and we will have the same problem if they just make another stat combo more efficient.
Instead they can make using offensive stats combo be more risky.
- Avoid uninterrupted dps.
- Have monsters cleave, use Aoe.
- Make them apply conditions, especially poison, weakness and chill.
- Introduce multiphased encounters.
- Diversify the pve experience: zerker might be the best for killing but what about defending points/pnj, playing a large scale battle?
- Make generating high stack/duration of powerfull offensive/defensive boons only possible to builds/skills crafted around this kind of support (short duration-> everyone, long durations->specialized builds)."
After watching grouch during the DH demo, it was made obvious that damaging conditions would stack in intensity, I would like to know if we should expect the same thing from regeneration a heal over time boon.
NO NO NO NO NO…
" i shouldn’t have"
Again, who define what I should or what I shouldn’t have? You?
The devs.
OMG the casters, not pointing on ROM stealing chief on forest, not even reacting to tage using shelter to completely negate the nade spam in choke point during the last game, come on ….
So every root spawned by entangle get the sun spirit buff individually and the damage they do thx to the proc is calculated with your condition damage so … AOE BURST!
lolz
You reduced the cooldown by 100%?
LoL!
Hello frands! Vee Wee here, #1 Engi NA and world first rank 80!
Leave it alone! Thieves have had their turn in the spotlight! When will the Engineer be thuper op! Every other class has been there except Engineer!
Wahoo! Bye frands!
HGH?
Anet isn’t completely silent. They did say there were bugs they were working on, including the fact that some of the new player experience was supposed to not carry over to existing players and did. They don’t know why yet.
Ohh Vayne, your loyalty is cute. ( cute is the best I could come up with , without having the porcelain bus waiting for me)
And your toxicity is obnoxious and annoying. Get it into your head that Anet isn’t making the game the way YOU or anybody else want, they are making the game the way they want. Don’t enjoy it? Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
“Don’t enjoy it? Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
It’s not ‘toxicity’ when white knights do it.
Interwebs 101…Do keep your white knight comments where sun does not shine honey. Or does the fact I enjoy the game while leveling 11th char (having completed 10 personal and living stories) bother you much? Tell me more about that.
#nottoxicatall
They have to fix it thx for the tip tough.
great addition to the gameplay indeed……
can we have some hard and challenging content please.
after all this Dumbing down the whole game, i would like the option to play as i want to play ( like it was advertised 2 years ago)
i like to play hardcore, challenging things.
i dont want butterflys and unicorns prancing around giving me an easy time.
i want demons keyboard smashing my dead corpse 1000 times before i kill them.
sort yourself out Anet, lets have some actual real MMO action
While I agree with you, we are not the majority.
people came on the forums thinking shadow of the dragon was too hard.
what you’re seeing now is not Anet having difficulty sorting themselves out, its them making content that can be played by the current gamer generation.
I will have to disagree here, it is all about learning, there is no real learning curve in the gw2 leveling content, most of the monsters are not designed with players tutoring in mind: heavily telegraphed attack do not deal high amount of damage(sometimes not telegraphed attack deals huge amount of damage), no condition pressure from the mobs, no skills worth interrupting…
If anet prepared the players during the leveling, there would be less cases of facing a brick wall when in front of some subjectively easy content.
Curious Vox, what about the combat system do you not learn in dungeons?
Interrupt that heal!!
Les gens cours d’anglais.
If they give it such a high cd they have to Buff the effect over the top, make it a physical damage proc which can crit.
So if it procs on a crit, it can crit again, effectively giving you squaring your critical damage on a 0.1 co-efficient.
Since the “meta” revolves around critting hard, you’re looking at around a 40% damage increase on the skill that activated the effect.
While most skills won’t utilize it to the best of it’s ability, imagine if you got that proc off a Maul?
Let me go cry in a corner now because I play Mesmer and we’re made up of lots of tiny hits (unless you count our Phantasms).
That’s the purpose a proc which is game changing when built around.
The only thing is that with a 35% chance to proc and a 10s ICD, there’s no reason to trait it and it’s literally “plug and play” (or, in this case “pick up and run”) because there’s no investment, no downside, no reason not to be running it.
AH i see the issue an higher damage increase(50-60%) for one hit, fire and forget won’t be an options(or at least won’t be the best one) since if you want the get the most out of the proc, 35% chances makes it quite unreliable.
As someone who plays mainly gs/longbow, it’s in a good spot and the change to the gs f1 will even make it better.
