No, you aren’t able to salvage them since they came out. You can put them in the Mystic Toilet however to give you a chance for a precursor. That is what I did for mine.

In addition to what was said above, each level you get in WvW gives you 7 to 9 proofs of heroics that you can give to any character. There are Hero Point trains going on in the new maps so fully unlocking an elite spec isn’t as long. Especially once you get the basic gliding down.

Actually, I love the Glittery Wings backpack to be able to be turned into a glider.

For those who want to use that sack as a short cut (it doesn’t give you all the enzymes, just a couple of them), you run up west of the green marker, hop a bouncing mushroom up, then charge through a mass of mordrem using whatever avoidance you have. Snag the sack and run for the cliff edge to jump off, pop stealth gliding, and awwwaaaaayyy you go.

The other optional source is the shady goods selling Nuhoch, and I’m not spending actual gold for a couple of enzymes or even for all the enzymes. So I just have to hope a chak attack is active when I am on that story step as otherwise it takes a while to hunt them down.

The trick to that one is to do that story just after the Chak Gerent has finished on the map. That way the nuhoch area is swarming with chak. That makes it pretty easy to get the enzymes quickly.

Actually, she makes me wish I could just grab her, throw her at the Risen and say “EAT UP BOYS! YOU’RE HAVING ASURA TONIGHT!”

I have to agree with you that I’m not crazy about medium armor on a Sylvari. I’m my case, I went with the Daydreamer outfit that really works on my Druid, Frosty Nightmare.

There are some area’s that are really out of the way along the way up. At least you can see Dragon’s Stand there.

Just like the title says, two of my guildmates built a JP and reached the surface above Gilded Hollows!

I’m just amazed by the level of detail in areas that honestly 99.9% of the people will never see.

I haven’t gotten it either and I also completed an entire cycle on Auric Basin from Octovine to Octovine and no luck.

I’d love to see an elemental type of dragon wing like fire or ice.

Earlier tonight I was on a match where my team (blue) was winning and around score 400, it said my team was too big and asked for a volunteer. I pressed it thinking that I would still get the win since that is what happens in a regular PvP match.

Instead, when the match ended, I was not given the victory even though I was on the winning team from the beginning until the score read 420 and had volunteered.

Not cool.

I had tried to do the Chak Killer- Master achievement twice in Roots of Terror.

I never died and I never got the achievement credit for it.

Same here, my guildmates wanted to do an arena fight and they can’t place anything for obstacles.

My Engineer is Fraulein Sturmtrupp. An Asura modeled after the WW1 storm trooper, she specializes in guns, fire, and poison gas. The thing is that I love her build so much, that I had to make a new (19th) character to be my Scrapper.

That would be my Norn Scrapper, Herja Magnhild. She gets her thrills drinking potions and bashing things to death with her giant wrench.

Is your character equipped with them at the time? They need to be active for the scout to change them.

These are my two Revenants, Loviatar Pohjola and Kiputytto Vitsaus

I’ll create my first Revenant, then upgrade the characters I want to use the specializations on, then make my 2nd Revenant.

I’ll be running two of my characters though the HoT storylines. Ironically enough, I’m letting my Human Mesmer, Anna Hayha, be sympathtic to the Sylvari.

I’m letting my Sylvari Necromancer, Soshi O Path, bring on the hate for her own race. That should make things interesting.

I’ve reserved both of my Revenant names.

The 1st will be a human female called Loviatar Pohjola. Named after the Finnish goddess of pain and the land of pohjola where all the evil Finnish deities come from.

The 2nd will be a Sylvari female called Kiputytto Vitsaus. Named after the Finnish goddess of pestilence and the Finnish word for plague.

Yeah, I’ve done it on purpose just to trigger the fall effects on a group of enemies at the last moment. I really enjoyed that.

I have to agree. It makes no sense why they didn’t put the 2 F keys next to each other or stacked on top like the Mesmer F5 key.

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me right now. I’ve been trying to delete a character for the past 2 days with no luck.

I happily killed Scarlet for daring to complete with me in my quest for world domination!

The one thing i didn’t like about the cores personal story was you could do everything solo “but” the final mission to take down Zhaitan. I got 17 lvl80’s and only finished the final mission on one character.

If they pull the same stunt for taking down Mordremoth I’m going to be kittened.

Umm.. you do know that killing Zhaitain can be done solo now? When they restored the storyline, they also turned the Arah dungeon story into a personal instance. I tagged along with a guildie to see what was changed and quite a bit was simplified. The mission took about an hour to complete.

Too bad there are no chests anymore.

They are still defending temples? I figured since the trait system for that was taken away, people would let failures happen again.

Well for me, it will likely be a second Revenant. I already have 16 characters and a 17th slot with a name reserved for my Revenant. If I like it as much as I think I will, I’ll be making a 2nd one.

So….. I’m a hopeless altaholic.

This has forced me to conclude that Instant-leveling items like the Tomes of Knowledge cheapen the game. They allow the player to skip the gameplay experience – skipping what makes the game fun – and now I wish I hadn’t done it. Now my plan is to go and do all those SAME THINGs only as level 80. I might as well have left the Tomes in my bank to start with.

A lot of my guild is telling me they are banking Tomes to insta-level their Revenant on day 1. I would submit that is a really bad idea. If you cheapen the Revenant by not actually playing the game, what will that character really mean? So I’m going to make a prediction, right now. I predict that those who insta-80 their Revenant will dislike the class, and those that take the time to level it up the old fashioned way will enjoy it.

I have to respectfully disagree with you there. I have enough to insta level 2 characters to level 80 now and am saving them for my revenants. When I made my 16th character (Helga Procella, Human Elementalist) last January, I bumped her up to 80 and then outfitted her after I found I’m just tired of the leveling grind.

Once I did that, I found I really enjoyed playing Helga a lot more as she went into the world. I blew through the story, got that done within a few days. To me, you really won’t know a character’s and it’s build’s potential until you hit that magical 80 mark. So I have no regrets on doing that with Helga.

That is why I know when the Revenant is out, I’ll redo my 17th character (which is a placer just save the name) Loviatar Pohjola and insta-level her to 80. I’ll likely make a 2nd Revenant if I like the class as much as I think I will.

Basically I’m saying is that everyone is different in the likes about the game. If you like to grind out the character slowly, then by all means, all the more power to you! But please understand that there are some of us that are tired of the leveling grind and actually feel that the game gets good only after the characters are level 80.

Forgal’s death speech was epic! 9 of my 16 characters are with the Vigil because I got such a kick out of that old coot! When I make my Revenant(s), you can bet they will be Vigil as well.

I don’t get with all the Forgal hate. I found Sieran to be pathetic and I was so-so with Tybalt.

Forgal will always be #1 in my book!

It is like any outfit, you have 4 areas you can dye to your liking.

One thing that those who complain about the “feather butt” on this new outfit seem to overlook is that it looks right with the Black Feather Wings. I have my engineer in Exemplar Attire dyed black and illumination, with the wings, and she looks terrific IMO.

It was when Aion first came out as a promotion.

There was an emote you could buy but the wings only lasted a few seconds.

The only other wings, besides the Paragon skill wings, were the black wings that were part of the Raiment of the Lich costume.

I should have enough Tomes to have her leveled to 80 by the time HOT comes out. So that is what I plan to do.

My guess is that Sylvari from the pale tree will continue to be safe, and that the sylvari we see “going crazy” in the trailer might just be us running into Malyck and his gang as we press further into the jungle.

I agree, I think that most of the Sylvari that attacked the pact fleet were from the 2nd Pale Tree by Magnus Falls. Those who were still under the Pale Tree’s influence are still protected with only the soundless and the Nightmare Court going to Mordremoth.?
