All the mantras were unusable for me and I feel the tomes are almost a lazy copy-paste of engi kits.

Just about every guardian has “stand your ground” + condi removal (save yourselves , contemplation of purity, purging flames), so mantras need to fulfill some void. I want to like Mantra of Lore , but I feel it is too unreliable (for me).

I agree. When using the Mantras, it was not enough and I had to revert to the utilities I normally used on a regular guardian just to be effective in a WvW setting.

Hiya! Is there plans to make more skins other than the original 5 for the Regrown Caladbolg?

I did the mission with my Mesmer (who is my main) who uses it as a main hand sword. But with the Mirage coming out, I’d love to be able to turn the sword into an Axe and still use it with her.

Will a guild who already has a Guild Hall be able to transfer to the new one? One of my guilds already has Guilded Hollow, but would like to transfer to the new location without losing everything already put into it.

The guild mission waypoints become uncontested when a guild activates the guild puzzle mission and you are repping the guild.

In all honesty, the old tiers don’t work anymore. Look at this week’s matchup in NA.

Tier 1 – 1st rank vs. 5th rank vs. 6th rank
Tier 2 – 3rd rank vs. 7th rank vs. 8th rank
Tier 3 – 2nd rank vs. 4th rank vs. 10th rank
Tier 4 – 9th rank vs. 11th rank vs. 12th rank

Looking above, only the Tier 4 rankings even make sense. As for the rest, spreading out T1 servers to fight lower ranked servers means that now you have 3 tiers getting blobbed mercilessly for another week which makes for a very unfun environment for the lower ranks.

No, it only exists in Auric Basin. Go to any other map and it disappears.

I had tried a repair and I did it a second time and the egg is still there.

My Sylvari Ele, Autumnal Nightmare uses colors reflecting Autumn’s colors.

While running my Chronomancer through Auric Basin the past couple of days she has been showing the Egg on her back even though is is way past that mission. That is pretty annoying to look at.

As you can see in the picture she is up to Hearts and Minds so it should not be there!

I’ve always wondered why Tybalt was so special and not Forgal and Sieran?

Since Forgal and Sieran died aswell at the same chapter as Tybalt did.
They’re doing the exact same thing as they were our Order mentors…

Anyway, since Demmi was in the Order of Whispers and since Tybalt was saving her along with the ‘commander’, I guess she liked him more than us,

People seem to care about Tybalt more. I’ve played through all 3 storylines and I can’t even remember the names of the other two mentors, but I never forgot Tybalt. Not sure why.

Which is ironic since of my 26 characters, 18 are Vigil, 6 Priory, and only 2 are Whispers. Forgal was always my personal favorite because he is such a mad dog at times!

But like was mentioned earlier, I don’t think it would have mattered which order you joined, Tybalt and Demmi met regardless. It just so happens that in my case, the other agent wasn’t the pact commander.

I was able to win it as a Mesmer, but it was hideously obnoxious because the small room meant I was constantly getting CC. Especially when the jade bow and armor came up, I couldn’t distance myself like I normally would.

This happened earlier today in which the choppers from the night time event were still there and usable in the day time.

Very true. My Scrapper has been able to kill a couple of them in WvW pretty easily once they can’t stealth.

I’ve had the cap for months, but with the Halloween dailies I was still getting the 1 AP for doing each one until last night. I did 3 of the Halloween dailies and didn’t get any points for them. I did get the points from Tuesday to Thursday.

Well there are some achievements like Feeding the Hungry cats that require certain account bound foods that can only be crafted by a 400 chef.

It was datamined as an outfit. That being said, this is one case where I would get the outfit although I do wish it was armor.

This happened on Friday night (9:30pm EDT run) when the mouth appeared on the island right next to where the bombs were. Eventually the little that was left was destroyed on a fake attack. The picture below can prove it.

It just goes to show how placement of the bombs can be such a big factor in the final battle.

This is another more recent update to my main, Anna Hayha. It is to reflect injuries she had suffered in a series of stories that involve her and another one of my characters.

Even though the White Mantle hurt her body, they could never break her spirit!

I want Marjory’s outfit so bad for my Scrapper!

It seems more that she has a plan to manipulate Lazarus, and doesn’t want the commander to know, since he’d never agree to it. Act like she has joined the Mantle, serving Lazarus…and then backstabbing him or giving us info. Jory had always been the detective of the group after all.

I was thinking the same way. I don’t feel she would actually betray the Commander. She is basically doing what she does best which is investigate.

At least you can still see it when you do the personal story.

Any chance to make a pirate hook skin with a hook on each hand? I have a character that would fit in perfectly with being a double hand amputee.

For talk like a pirate day, can you bring back Magnus’s eye patch? I missed it during the discount week and it goes great with the other pirate goodies that were released this past week.

Well I got the pirate hook and it looks great on my Norn. On my Humans, the glove part does look like a baseball mitt while the hook part looks fine. So ehhh, no go on the Human.

I was wondering since it would actually fit a look I am attempting, but would there be any chance to have a hook for each hand instead? I have a human that would be perfect for being a double hand amputee and yes, she is a thief.

I would gladly pay gems for that!

Please fix it! I want to put it on my fire Ele but held off because of that effect.

Actually the hook doesn’t look bad for one of my characters, but the glove would make her other hand look like an oven mitt. I would have preferred the glove to not be so big, or even having a hook in each hand would be cool if it could be an option.

FYI, most classes get Soldier stats, but the Necromancer was given Rabid stats. I think the Thief was different as well but I used the boost on a Necro.

I recently updated the look of my Norn Necro, Morticia Eirsdottir. I went for more of a demonic look.

Honestly, I’d like to see the red and green glowing eyes come back.

I was hoping the bloodstone visage would work, but seeing the eye glow through the back of the head was a major turn off.

I’ve played everyday since August 25, 2012 and I still find the game enjoyable! It has had it’s good and bad times, but there is so much to do that if one part of the game gets a bit repetitive, then you can always switch to another part to keep it fresh.

I saw Gaile in Dry Top last night while playing my main, Anna Hayha. What I told her is what I’ll tell the other developers:

Well originally, Anna Hayha my main was an Engineer on August 25, 2012. It was October 6th that I was unhappy with the Engi and remade her into a Mesmer which is what she still is.

The first picture is my first shot of her on day 1. The second is what she looks like now.

I’ve been doing some fan fiction on the relationship of two of my characters in GW2, my main (mesmer), Anna Hayha and my Thief/Daredevil, Natasha T. Ripper.

I know the first chapters are a bit slow, but I intentionally glossed over the personal story parts to focus on the interactions outside of those areas.

The story is still being worked on and to let you know that Natasha does have a mouth on her. I have 9 chapters up as of 8/20/16.

I recently gave my main (Anna Hayha) a new hairstyle and clothing change to reflect the time that has past in game. Since she isn’t in the jungle anymore as well as being a noble of Divinities Reach and a member of the Priory, I though the change was fitting in her case.

BTW, the bottom picture was her previous look.

Dragon’s Watch isn’t terrible, but not my personal pick. Rytlock was mourning the loss of his guild and guild leader. It is no wonder he shot down the idea.

This is the reason why he didn’t like it.

On the whole name thing, I really think the guild should have been called Dragon’s Bane. Sounds better, and we ARE pretty much slaying dragons.

Dragon’s Bane would have gotten my vote if it was one of the choices. As it was, I thought Dragon’s Watch was the best of the 3 choices we did have.

Playable LS1 is impossible to do because ANet would need to change look of Lion’s Arch.
Rebuilding of ‘Tower of Nightmares’ in Kessex Hills and the replay of Queen’s Jubilee are

I disagree slightly. It is possible but LS1 would have to be converted into instances, somehow, which is difficult since most of LS1 was open world and intended for large groups. The best one could hope for is getting certain parts of LS1 as fractals or raids.

Certain LS1 instances are already fractals. Anything with Rox and Braham or the Aetherblades were part of LS1.

Your screenshot just shows it’s not on your current character nor in the bank. Is it possible you moved it to storage toon? Deleted it (thinking it was a useless collection item, without a vendor price)? Did you visit the NPC in LA to see if he could provide you with a spare?

If you’ve tried all of that without joy, create a support ticket — customer service can help with stuff like that.

This was the character that I opened up the chest since she is my top Artificer. I don’t have a storage character and I checked them all just in case. I’m also a hoarder in the worst way.

When I went to the NPC to see about a recovering an item, it shows up as nothing.

I filed a report on this as well.

I completed part one of making Nevermore. But while I got the recipe to make the staff, I didn’t get the Essence of Natural Protection which I need to make the staff.

Achievement points aren’t capped — just certain repeatable sources are capped, notably dailies.

I’m not sure anyone would have minded, except that during large parts of 2015 & 2016, we have had no new sources, whereas in 2012-2013, we had tons. The Long Content Drought caused a lot of issues, directly and indirectly.

Here’s what I’d like to see as a compromise: the cap on dailies should be adjusted upwards so that there’s also a ‘floor’ on the minimum number of points added. For example, any year that the total number of new AP was under 7,500, ANet would increase the daily cap by a few thousand (the amount depending on how far under the ‘floor’). (I used ‘7,500’ since that represents 30,000 points in four years — the amount a completionist might have gotten if they began playing during Headstart.)

I’ve been playing since headstart, but I never thought about AP’s until ANET put them with chests. Before then I just enjoyed learning the game while I had the time to play. Only later (due to real life) on was I able to play more and get the AP’s when the new content came out.

But like you mentioned, there has been a drought and I’ve gotten most of what I could. Unless they up the cap or start being more generous with the AP on the new content. The goal of getting things like a complete set of Hellfire armor is going to be out of reach. Even for us old timers.

I just hit my cap 2 days ago and I am not happy.

I’ve been trying to get AP’s through the game as much as possible until I was burning out my wrist (carpal tunnel) and have been doing dailies only for a bit to give my wrist a break.

I’m now stuck at 24,135 and that 25k chest not to mention that the skins I’ve been wanting to get farther down the road from the higher AP’s now look farther and farther away.

Agreed. I never played GW1 but I did read the lore and watch lore videos on the topic. I think Anet’s mistake for vanilla GW2 was there were too few meaningful connections to GW1’s events… to the point most players could just ignore there was ever a GW1.

I agree. I never played GW1, but read up as much of the lore as I can to get immersion for my character.

One note I noticed is that the young lady Mesmer who helped Caudecus escape was named Lady Wi. Her first name escapes me as I forgot to get a screenshot of it.

I am guessing she is the daughter of the Lady Wi who is a member of the Order of Whispers and Godmother of Demmi Beetlestone (Cadecus’s daughter)?

That would be interesting if she is connected with the Whisper’s as well.

In the past few days I’ve been getting no flax fibers from Flax nodes. During that time however, I have gotten a flax fibers from Jungle plant nodes.

My guildies are telling me the same thing.

From what I’ve seen on reddit, male versions have been data mined so the odds are pretty good that it will show up in the gem store.

and with the hot fix and use only for 80 ish character they closed this exploit or better say they stopped players to use an unintented way to get ca$h shop content (BLC keys) ingame

Well I’ve done map completion with two characters so far and only got transmutation charges instead of Black Lion Keys. So key farming is not guaranteed.

Since King Jarlis is being tapped by Revenants for power, I would imagine that he is gone at the very least. Hopefully some Dwarves do remain though.

The only thing I didn’t like was giving Marjory a hood. A mask or tiara would have been better since I like seeing her hair.

Outside of that, I loved her new look and will get it even if it is an outfit for one of my Necromancers.

Actually I’d LOVE to see Cynn’s armor, even if it is an outfit.
