$50 to buy season 1.

EXACTLY.

$50 = MORE than the price of a MMORPG’s EXPANSION.

Do you REALLY think that the instanced living world content of SEASON 1 was AS MUCH content as an EXPANSION?

So THAT’s how good ArenaNet’s new PRICING model is.

So, in other MMO’s, do people complain when they pay real-life cash for expansions?

You mean, the $40 expansions that add MULTIPLE new areas, MULTIPLE new skills, NEW classes, NEW races, MULTIPLE new armor and weapon SKINS that you don’t need to pay a LOTTERY system to get, MULTIPLE new mechanics and SO ON?

Yep, people usually don’t complain when they pay for THOSE.

Now, paying $50 for ONLY single player personal storyline-like INSTANCES? YEP, expect people to COMPLAIN. I wonder WHY…

You guys do realize they will probably do this the same way they did your Personal Story.

That’s EXACTLY the issue. The “personal storyline” (more like TRAHEANNE’s little epic) had INCREDIBLY mediocre instances, nowhere NEAR GW1’s missions. Focusing on more of THAT kind of content is far from being GOOD.

Just think about the SEASON 1 single player instances. Do you remember even a SINGLE one that made you think “WOW, this is just SO much FUN!”?

I agree. A lot of people seem to like the open world stuff, but from my perspective it just doesn’t really work all that well.

FUNNY, because the open world STUFF is what ArenaNet said makes their game UNIQUE.

That’s $50 US. For a whole season worth of infinitely re-playable content (essentially an expansion) that is totally reasonable. It’s just like any other MMO with expansions.

LOL, those must be VERY BAD “other MMO”. Let’s look at what we got with the GW1 new CHAPTERS, shall we? We got MULTIPLE new areas, MULTIPLE new skills, MULTIPLE new armor and weapon skins (without a LOTTERY system asking for MORE payments), MULTIPLE new mechanics, and so on.

What did we get in Season 1? Was that “an expansion” worth of content?

MORE importantly, what ArenaNet will sell will be only the “Living World story instance” content. Has the season 1 story instance content been even REMOTELY similar to “an expansion” WORTH of content?

No? Yep, think NOT.

This is NOWHERE near buying an expansion. It’s almost the price of a FULL game, just for more of the very MEDIOCRE single player personal storyline instanced content.

I’m not saying we’re gonna get more open world content – I hope so – but it’s unlikely we’re gonna get any less.

We VERY likely will get less. This is the conundrum ArenaNet has placed THEMSELVES into.

Think about SEASON 1. Which story steps did we have? Do you actually remember story steps that were MEMORABLE enough to justify a purchase? Most of them were just to PRESENT a character, many without ANY combat at all.

ArenaNet will likely have MORE story steps than that, or they wouldn’t have MUCH to sell. Using MORE resources for story steps means LESS resources for open world content. Which means, either less open world content, or less polished open world content.

Besides, ArenaNet itself said in the beginning of 2013 that they would FOCUS on open world content, and they have just told us that we will do this year BOTH story steps and open world content. Those two comments by themselves hint that open world will be LESS of a focus on 2014 than it was on 2013, hence it’s likely we will get LESS.

What is the problem with people having choices? Not everyone feels the same way you do and will enjoy this.

Because I’m thinking DEEPER than “OMG so cool” or “OMG so NOT COOL”.

It’s IRRELEVANT if you will buy it or not. It’s irrelevant if YOU like it or not. REGARDLESS, this will have a huge impact on the game: it will drive ArenaNet from making more OPEN WORLD content, which is actually something in which GW2 has been VERY slowly improving, to focus on STORY steps. It will ALSO make it less likely that ArenaNet will make a REAL expansion, instead of selling bit-sized content and lottery tickets for weapons.

Are you telling me I can CHOOSE to play the open world CONTENT that ArenaNet will NOT make and/or polish because they’re focusing on the content that gives them MONEY, aka the story steps? That I can CHOOSE to buy the EXPANSION that ArenaNet will NOT make because they’re trying to get money from those story steps?

NO?

So, YEAH. Less talk about so-called “choices”, PLZ.

  • Stats: zerk or N00B
  • Preparation: stack Might and consumables or N00B
  • In-battle strategy: stack and dodge against wall and DPS, or N00B
  • If you get downed: only N00B, sorry, and your party will kick you

So NO, don’t expect OTHER stats any time soon, UNLESS it’s sold through the GEM Store.

Test.8734

Realistically a year’s worth of episodes will be significantly less than $65 USD.

GREAT.

Now look BACK at SEASON 1. Would YOU pay $50 USD for THAT? Knowing that, OTHER than your $50, you would still have to pay for the LOTTERY system in order to get the Black Lion skins, or use A LOT of gold for those?

Meanwhile, why don’t we LOOK back at the ORIGINAL Guild Wars? What did you buy with $50? WHY, a new chapter!!! Including MULTIPLE new maps, MULTIPLE new armor and weapon skins (WITHOUT the need to pay for a lottery system), NEW professions, MULTIPLE new skills, new mechanics, and SO ON and SO ON.

Expect the Season 2 to be WORSE than Season 1. ArenaNet has MONETIZED only the story steps, not the open world content. It’s only logical that they will focus MORE on what gives them money than on what doesn’t, so expect LESS open world content (which, per ArenaNet’s own view, is what makes GW2 the game it is), and more content like the MEDIOCRE personal storyline steps.

GW2 releases Story Journals: Feedback/Questions [Merged]

in Living World

Posted by: Test.8734

Test.8734

People, PLZ think deeper about stuff. This isn’t SIMPLY a matter of “yay, permanent content, so cool!” or “not cool, boo ArenaNet!”.

The Story Journal effectively MONETIZES part of the Living World. It’s only logical that ArenaNet would try to make people PAY for this content and feel like they are GETTING something in return, so expect the next Living World content to focus on the kind of things available through the Journal.

And WHAT will be available through the JOURNAL? That’s also a matter of logic. OPEN WORLD activities – big world events, dynamic events for a lot of people, and etc – will NOT be available through the Journal. One, the logistics isn’t there – think about trying to do Teq without a timer used by a lot of people to know when the event is going to HAPPEN, now add the issue of playing through an event that isn’t available to the ENTIRE community, and you end with something that SIMPLY cannot be done. It would be like TRYING to do the Marionette with only THREE other players.

Two, ArenaNet itself mentioned how open world content is different from the story steps available through the Journal:

ArenaNet

content from Living World episodes will be a mix of new story steps and open world content. Story steps will work just like existing story steps in the game today by taking you on a journey specific to your selected episode, which ties into a broader narrative from the season’s continual story progress.

SOOOO, the Journal will give ArenaNet money. The Journal will focus not on open world content, rather on story steps. Ergo, ArenaNet will focus more on story steps than on open world content.

Ergo, ArenaNet won’t work as much on the open world content, which happens to be the BEST and most promising aspect of GW2 (and that’s NOT simply MY opinion; does anyone else remember THIS?). Instead, they will focus on content like the STEPS of the personal storyline, which are, well, INCREDIBLY mediocre.

THIS is a loss. We will have LESS development of the open world events, which are still a flawed aspect of the game but that was beginning to show SOME potential (see the marionette), and instead MORE of a kind of content that NO ONE has been asking for.

The Arc, Dialog, Writing and Season 2

Test.8734

FWIW, for all the flak that Nightfall gets for Kormir, I think that game actually does it best out of all the original Guild Wars games. Whilst it doesn’t satisfy all the (frankly unrealistic) requirements I set out above, joining the Sunspears and rising through the ranks throughout the story, all the while gathering allies with distinct personalities (to complement the sense that you are a part of a larger, faceless force), was the most immersive thing I think I’ve done in an MMO.

I AGREE. Even if only because the other two GW1 chapters were WORSE in this aspect, as in both if felt that players were LED by the nose.

This is my MAIN issue with GW2’s storyline: the lack of player agency.

We are not the HEROES. We don’t even MATTER at all. Our characters make NO decision of consequence – the “illusion” of choice we have leads to MEANINGLESS things, while the TRUE heroes, the ones who give the orders and find out the dragons’ secrets and call forth their allies and make epic sacrifices, are the NPCs. GW2’s “personal” storyline is more about TRAHEANNE’s heroism and his rise from scholar to leader than about our characters. Season 1 was more ABOUT the team of MARJORIE and friends than about us.

Part of this is an issue of DELIVERY. ArenaNet probably can’t afford to hire the voice actors for all the 10 player characters just to record a few lines, so our characters are effectively MUTE; and even when it’s a matter of written text, our characters don’t say much anyway.

(Was it WORTH having so many voice actors for the player characters? I think NOT.)

The CINEMATICS are very poor. Which is rather puzzling, considering how cinematics were VERY good in Nightfall and GREAT in the Bonus Mission Pack. Not only the “two talking dummies” approach looks BAD, but also OUR characters rarely appear or DO something in the few action cinematics in the game; they’re usually about someone ELSE.

Yet, despite the PRESENTATION issues, the fact is that our CHARACTERS are usually in the SIDELINES. We are less the heroes than the NPCs, who are the ones that actually DRIVE the story ahead.

IMO, part of this is because ArenaNet is AFRAID. They think the players are so INFATUATED with each player’s OWN view of his/her character that ArenaNet can’t do ANYTHING to break away from said view – in other words, our characters cannot have any kind of PERSONALITY. That is, well, RIDICULOUS – the only way to avoid having a [blank] as the player character is is ArenaNet TAKES the risk and infuses the characters with SOMETHING, with a minimum of personality, with actual friendships with NPCs (and not just “yeah, we’ll do that” for a few levels and then that NPC never appear again), and being smart enough to DRIVE the story, instead of being DRIVEN by the others.

I’m sure SEASON 2 will begin with MARJORIE saying, “we’ll go investigate that jungle dragon now”. I would be VERY happy if it began with OUR characters going to Marjorie and saying, “We’ll go investigate that jungle dragon now. HERE is what we will DO:”.

How would you feel if you didn’t get your ticket but people around you were flaunting their shining new skins?

If I have something I enjoy… It DOESN’T matter if everyone ELSE has it or not. If I DON’T have something I have EARNED… It doesn’t matter if everyone ELSE has it or not.

(Oh, I ALSO didn’t receive MY chest. Wouldn’t BOTHER me if everyone ELSE got their shiny weapon tomorrow.)

You do REALIZE, I hope, that this DELAY is likely because ArenaNet sees WvW as such a LOW priority that they hadn’t even CODED the trader yet, and decided to use the chest FAILURE as an excuse to postpone it, RIGHT?

And why do you think they push back the rewards for S2 now then instead of doing the same thing as they did in S1?

For the SAME reason why they DIDN’T prevent the SAME mistake from happening with SEASON 2 rewards after it happened in season 1: POOR planning.

Because, Vayne THE Second, it’s rather obvious that not giving rewards to ANYONE is WORSE than not giving rewards to SOME. It’s ArenaNet’s own fault that many players won’t get their rewards, but it’s simply POOR management to punish EVERYONE because of their mistake.

ArenaNet’s answer? To delay EVERYONE’s rewards, so even those that DID get their chests won’t be able to get their weapons.

Any idea if we will be able to get our rewards BEFORE season 3? Considering how some people STILL haven’t received their season ONE rewards? [Suggestion] In-game polls each month

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Test.8734

Test.8734

I would like to suggest Anet use the system they had in place for submitting beta feedback to give us some sort of poll to vote on each month.

DUDE. This would NEVER work. Players are PLAYERS, not game designers.

Imagine if we had a poll asking, “Would you like to receive 1.000 gold RIGHT NOW?”. How many players would say “YES”? And would it really improve the game’s ECONOMY to have that much gold suddenly added out of nowhere?

Guild Wars: Factions had MULTIPLE examples of this. People asked for a MISSION in which a LOT of players would get together to fight a big dragon. We got EXACTLY that. Yet people complained a LOT about that mission.

If players KNEW how to design a game, we wouldn’t have SO MANY failed games out there.

How would in game responses give skewed responses?

EASY:

Heck have the poll only pop up for people who go into a city on a certain day.

You would have replies SKEWED for those who go into cities the most. Who are those players? Those who PLAY the TP, CRAFTERS, maybe a few RPers. Not a proper sample of the population.

“People would tell each other about it” – then you would ALSO have SKEWED results for those in large GROUPS, such as GUILDs.

“ArenaNet could announce it so everyone reads it during that day” – then it would be SKEWED for those who play the game on said day. Is it a week day? Is it a weekend? Different populations.

And SO ON. It’s TOO much effort for an ultimately WORTHLESS result. Design by COMMITEE is doomed to fail.

Why Did We Need Megaservers?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Test.8734

Test.8734

tl;dr Megaservers have fixed the population problem but have brought many new problems into the game. Why couldnt ANET just allow you to pick a server/overflow? Why are Megaservers the answer? Being clever for the sake of being clever maybe?

DUDE. Megaservers weren’t about IMPROVING the game.

ArenaNet noticed that many worlds were half-DEAD. They could do server MERGES, but that’s usually seen as a sign that a MMO is DYING, and they got SCARED that doing those merges would scare people away.

Hence, server merges WITHOUT merges: megaservers.

The idea wasn’t THAT bad. It was just BADLY implemented. Because:

  • If you are playing through an EVENT and you disconned, GOOD LUCK getting back to the same map you were in. If it’s one of the many FACEROLL events, you could return to a server earlier than yours, and the event is already done; or you could go back to one that is later than yours, and the event is at an earlier stage, wasting your time (KARKA Queen often sees this.). If it’s a HARD event, though luck – you could be against Teq when it’s at 10% health, DISCONNECT, and when you go back you’re in a server that has failed the event. NO WAY BACK.
  • The system was MEANT to preferably put people from the same party and the same guild in the SAME map. This is a JOKE, considering how often it does not happen.
  • Communities were destroyed (ASK RPers).
  • A good but POORLY implemented idea (as usual for ArenaNet) was the notion that one map could influence what happened in the others. We had this ONLY on the Orr temples, but it was an interesting mechanic that could be further expanded. Well, NO MORE. This kind of mechanic has been removed from the game.
  • CONTESTED waypoints now show up even if the waypoint isn’t REALLY contested; you have to join a map to see if a given waypoint is really contested or not. This is RATHER obviously a poor implementation.

Unfortunatelly, ArenaNet’s philosophy of QUICK and EASY fixes led to solving a problem while creating a multitude of new issues. I can barely wait to see how they will ALIENATE the WvW community when adding megaservers to WvW.

I didn’t say you were an exception, just that you don’t speak for everyone when you say that would definitely ‘improve’ the game. That’s how you see it, not how it may or may not actually be.

It would definitely improve the GAME.

You are talking about what you ENJOY as if it were the same as what would IMPROVE the game. There is no required correlation between those TWO things.

ArenaNet already talked about how they have TROUBLE hiring voice actors to do SMALL roles. Which is why OUR characters say so little – hiring 10 people to do small talk HERE and THERE is way too expensive. Hiring fewer people is CHEAPER.

That’s why our CHARACTERS are WORTHLESS mutes who do as the real heroes tell them to do. And why, while there is zero player agency, the heroes who defeated SCARLET are represented by the five “biconics” characters.

With an EXPANSION, ArenaNet could hire actors for LONGER periods, which would be more COST EFFECTIVE. Which means, the story could be told in such a way that our characters would be SLIGHTLY less worthless than in the Living World.

Not to mention how an expansion adds new permanent areas, multiple weapon sets as part of the EXPANSION, and all the other kinds of content that the Living Story has FAILED to add to the game so far. New armors and weapons, IN PARTICULAR, are one of the obvious fields in which the Living Story is worse than EXPANSIONS: while weapons in the Living Story are given through a LOTTERY system, in expansions multiple new skins are introduced and made available EXCLUSIVELY through in-game activities.

Legendary Armor: Yes or No?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Test.8734

Test.8734

DUDE! Legendary Armor needs:

1. Same stats as currently BIS items (for now Ascended, in the future the God tier, and so on). This technology is already in the game – see Legendary weapons.

2. Modifiable stats. Players can choose WHICH stats they want any time (if SOLDIER or Carrion and etc). This technology is ALSO already in the game – Legendary weapons.

3. NO SPECIAL SKINS. Instead, give it a common skin, BUT allow it to be changed to different skins without consuming Transmutation Charges. This means the Legendary armor could ALWAYS be changed to whatever skin a player wants, as many times as he wants, without consuming Transmutation Charges. The transmutation technology is already in the game, this is JUST a small change.

This way, ArenaNet doesn’t have to waste PRECIOUS time (which they could be using to make MORE Gem Store armors) by designing Legendary Armors. It would also prevent players from witnessing ULTRA-SPARKLY armor. And the player base would actually have a SANE way of using the wardrobe system, with a WAY to access unlimited free unlocks.

Now, ArenaNet has not bothered with UNDERWATER content. They care so little about it that, INSTEAD of fixing it and adapting it for PvP, they decided to REMOVE it from that game mode.

THAT is ArenaNet’s way of saying “sorry, NO, we won’t fix this one”.

Now, do you WANT broken content in the game? NO?

So it’s “remove water combat” or “go home”. ArenaNet will not BOTHER with it.

Suggestion: remove underwater combat

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Test.8734

Test.8734

Hi GUYS! :DDDD

Underwater COMBAT sucks! DDDDDD:

ArenaNet knows it TOO. See the removal of underwater PVP from sPvP (which we all KNOW is the end-all be all of GW2, with ESPORTS and etc!!!).

Underwater combat only HURTS the game. ARenaNet CLEARLY can’t be bothered to make air-breathers with quality higher than MASTERWORK, or fix most of the UNDERWATER bugs, or help improve its balance. Also, having to design three kinds of underwater weapons only SLOWS down the design of weapon sets for the GEM Store, as if anyone would buy them ANYWAY.

So, I say: the way to deal with it is to AMPUTATE. Here’s a small HOW-TO so ArenaNet doesn’t have to WORRY about the LOGISTICS:

1. INTERFACE changes: the current interface when swimming on the SURFACE (the bubbles hiding the skill bar) will also appear when diving in and swimming underwater. No more UNDERWATER skill bars. The current slots for all underwater equipment will simply be DELETED.

2. Underwater players will receive the DETERMINED buff and become invulnerable. Same for ENEMIES and other NPCs. Players can still explore underwater areas, JUST not FIGHT there.

3. Remove all water from WVW and replace it with solid ground. Don’t LEAVE the holes there like NOOBS, fill them with ground. A FEW things would be lost - water gate entry into Bay, for example - but nothing really of consequence.

4. Speaking about no losses, remove ALL underwater events as well. Most suck ANYWAY.

5. Give REFUNDS for those with Legendary underwater weapons. Don’t refund the guy who crafted an Ascended trident (sorry AQUAMAN.4132, just SUCK it UP). Delete all underwater EQUIPMENT.

6. A FEW more things will have to be fixed EVENTUALLY. The Honor of the Waves dungeon will need to be adapted, but it’s already one of the worst-designed parts of the game anyway (it’s just boss after boss with a BAZILLION healthy points). Heck, you could leave it broken and NO ONE would notice. Or just explode it and blame SCARLETT.

The game would become much CLEANER and BETTER. No need to thank ME.

ArenaNet isn't BOLD enough!

Do you KNOW what ArenaNet’s main ISSUE is?

They’re not BOLD enough.

Want to make EotM RELEVANT without turning it into EOTENS?

Easy. Replace all Borderland maps by EOTMs (one for EACH world, ofc). Replace current EotM by the current BL map, with red at the top.

So if PEOPLE want to win, it’s either defending their keep on the current EotM maps, or GTFO.

MIND BLOW yet or NOT?

Island of Janthir does not have a SINGLE good commander! Why, the other day a commander was RAGING about “Only 3 people on tag? Really?” WHILE everyone else was roaming, but no one had the GUTS to tell him that was because his COMMANDING simply sucks DDDDDDD:

Seriously this is so bloody frustrating.

No, it could be BETTER! When you are ABOUT to kill it, and then when it’s at 1% health you DISCONNECT, and when you get back the game sends you to a DIFFERENT megaserver!

Do people here REMEMBER the Ancient Karka mess? When people fought HOURS to kill it, only to disconnect and return to a DIFFERENT overflow?

Well, ANCIENT KARKA says “hello again! Prepare to waste your time!”

Season 2: Scarlet Returns?!?!

Release 06: Aftermatch, in which Lion’s Arch is rebuilt, with a STATUE of Scarlet replacing the Lion’s Fountain! Every NPC in the game has its dialogue changed to praise Scarlet! Unfortunately this means voice acting has to go, since no one REASONABLE could expect ArenaNet to record so many audio lines, right? But it’s a SMALL price to pay anyway. Scarlet joins Marjorie’s group (didn’t you guys notice the group was MISSING a Sylvari? This is WHY, people!) and they will become a new band of adventures called FATE’s EDGE! Scarlet and her new friends will go ADVENTURE to the far west, in order to defeat the dragon there! Meanwhile, our characters NOD silently and stay back to deal with the mess back in good old Kryta! PLUS – the Mysterious Treasure finally UNLOCKED! Those who managed to get all FIVE pieces will unlock an EXCLUSIVE Scarlet Backpack, allowing players to PROUDLY display the hero of Tyria’s face in their backs (for the so VERY small cost of a single TRANSMUTATION charge!)!!!!!!

This is the KIND of exciting and EPIC content I expect in the following months! What about YOU guys, aren’t you EXCITED about Season 2 too? :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

Season 2: Scarlet Returns?!?!

in Living World

Hi guys! What kind of EPIC and fun CONTENT do you guys think ArenaNet will GIFT us with in season 2 of the Living World? :DDDDDD

I would like to show my FULL predictions for the exciting MONTHS ahead:

SEASON 2: SCARLET RETURNS!

By POPULAR demand… She’s BAAAAAAACK! Not even death ITSELF is enough to stop Scarlet! She now returns as QUEEN of the Underworld, ready to once AGAIN stomp through all of Tyria!

Release 01: multiple PORTALS to the Underworld begin appearing all over the map. Players have to interact and do the FINISHER animation on them (but remember, due to how STOMPING works, only one player gets credit for each portal finished! Get stomping!). Meanwhile, an EPIC blog post on the Guild Wars 2 website explains how Scarlet took CONTROL of the Underworld and is not using the former god MENZIES as her trusted minion. Using a Finisher on 1.000 portals is enough to finish this release’s ACHIEVEMENT, which gives part 1 of the MYSTERIOUS Treasure, a fun and exciting reward for those who follow the entire season! :D

Release 02: two months later, because ArenaNet needs TIME to make content THIS exciting! Marjorie, Kasmeer, Rox, Braham and Taimi make a plan to ENTER the Underworld and bring the FIGHT to Scarlet! Meanwhile, the portals CONTINUE to grow and now they’re spilling HORDES of shades and ataaxes! Every 15 to 30 minutes, Scarlet’s LAUGHTER is heard in all maps across the ENTIRE game. Every two hours, a RANDOM map is filled with MORE portals, and players need to hurry to close them all within the time LIMIT – but hurry, because time is SHORT! Plus, the longer people stay in a portal, the HARDER the enemies that will appear from it, so those who stay too long would find themselves against LOTS and LOTS of CHAMPIONS D: D: D: Successfully defending against 100 invasions finishes this RELEASES’ achievement, giving part 2 of the epic and exciting Mysterious TREASURE!

Release 03: for the NEXT two months, Marjorie and friends ENTER the Underworld! The player CHARACTERS stay behind to deal with the mess, and what a mess it IS! Portals through all of TYRIA begin spilling debris, because the WORLD map needs more RUBBLE! Characters have to defeat all foes at every incursion point and perform CLEANING animations, but the RUBBLE won’t completely go away – this is an EXCITING entirely new and PERMANENT content to the game!!! Meanwhile, a new GREAT blog post in the Guild Wars 2 website will describe Marjorie and friends’ adventures through the alien and beautiful LANDSCAPE of the Underworld! Performing the cleaning JUST ten thousand times will unlock the achievement and grant the next treasure PART!

Release 04: the SHADOW Behemoth RISES! For this release, the Shadow Behemoth will be UPDATED to become a REAL challenge for REAL men DDDDD: 10 times more EPIC, 1.000 times more healthy POINTS, 100.000 times more FUN! The boss’ health will be dramatically increased, and players will be expected to capture portals across the entirety of Queensdale in order to be able to make the Behemoth VULNERABLE to damage. With at least 20 portals per map and the requirement for at least FIVE players to stay within the capture rings SIMULTANEOUSLY, this will guarantee fun for at least A HUNDRED guild members! But remember, by the time you run from the portals to the Behemoth it will be invulnerable again, so better get a few more FRIENDS there! Those who actually manage to DAMAGE the Shadow Behemoth will have a chance to get ASCENDED items reskins; doing it 100 TIMES will finish this release’s achievement and give the SECOND to LAST Mysterious Treasure fragment! Almost there!

Release 05: SHOCKING NEWS! Marjorie and friends returns from the Underworld saying that Scarlet is actually one of the GOOD GUYS DDDDD: The sleeping dragons are eating MAGIC, so they have to be awakened in order to be DEFEATED and save the WORLD (previous lore saying otherwise was SIMPLY wrong!). Players have to defend a HUGE ritual CIRCLE in the Gendaran Fields as Marjorie summons SCARLET back to TYRIA! Meanwhile, MALCONTENT citizens will foolishly try to stop the ritual, and they have to be put down by the player characters! Those citizens says thing like “We have Scarlet!”, “The ectos are dropping less often!” and “We want MATCH-UP topics!”, because META humor is so much FUN! After doing this 50 times, the ACHIEVEMENT will be unlocked, the LAST part of the MYSTERIOUS Treasure will be AWARDED! And, even better, SCARLET will finally return to the land of the living, radiating all the POWER and GRACE of a GOD! But the fight will have PERMANENT consequences! In the following explosion of mystical energies, our characters will be hurt and become PERMANENTLY mute! This is a NEW development that will continue in Guild Wars 2 FOREVER!
