Inwould love to see a true AoE in this game. The area should not have a target limit; however, the AoE should have a diminishing return system. The current system is fine for AoE cc but for the damage aspect we should have a diminishing return system.

@Anet – does it bother you that the in game LFG is so poor that we need to go to a website to look for pug groups?

@The GW2 community- what site or method do you use to find a pug group? I would really like to see some sites.

the whole idea of area of effect is to effect an area…. when limiting the effect to a certain number of players/npc in the AoE the skill is no longer a true AoE. with the damage nerf to AoE such skills are highly unattractive. I suggest making AoE in gw2 “real” AoE.

It’s all about ‘balancing’ pvp. It’s always been that way. Remember all the soul-crushing nerfs that happened to GW1 so that pvp could be ‘balanced’?

several of the above posts provide acceptable methods of allowing true AoE. it’s doable without faking it as the current method does. do you have any suggestions for making AoE an actual AoE, as it stands the current system is not real AoE….

And every 5 man zerg slayer I’ve been a part of doesn’t use AoEs, but we focus one guy down at a time, with one of us assigned to reserving skills for spiking.

And to note, without the 5 player cap, a handful of Staff Eles would make a choke point a living hell, regardless of how many they are up against. Getting into the Lord’s Room in SM during peak times is already a mess, even with the limit.

The fight would still be manageable with defensive skills. in addition a diminishing return system like noted above should prevent AoE from being too OP. or just rename it from area of effect to something like stationary damage to 5 random targets.. hehe : )

i understand your view; however, the damage should remain the same and effect all players in the area. the players in the AoE should have to move out of the AoE as to not take damage. That’s the whole idea of AoE.

I honestly don’t think that you can take those charts too literally. The scores they publish seem to lag the actual timings and they simply aren’t updated enough to show the effect of the timezones.

I work erratic hours and simple observation tells me that DB is massively ahead during Asian peak hours and tends to lag behind in NA peak times. That’s not a criticism either just a statement of fact

If your statement was true then yaks should be able to close the gap during NA prime time. but as the score reflects your server cannot do so because our NA crew can effectively keep your income in check. So either DBs NA is getting stronger and more effective or your server is becoming weaker and less effective.

We know DB’s NA period has gotten stronger. We know you had some NA transfer in. We know. We also know we have almost no Asian coverage when we are at work which is the reason for the big point ticks when you golem all our gates down and re-colour our map. We know.

Guess what. We know.

We don’t. I don’t know where and DB player has ever said that we don’t have an outstanding Asian Presence. We just take offense to the claim that NA prime is awful and we are just being carried when the scores don’t show that at all. Go look at the scores again. EB and YB keep acting like DB is ticking 50 all of NA primetime every day and in the morning we are ticking 500+. It just isn’t true.

Well heres a crazy idea:
Why don`t all of your NA prime time players pick a lower tier server with players that hardly WvWvW transfer there and prove us all wrong and let us know how it turns out.

accept the fact DB has superior coverage. Further, your server will have much more difficulty keeping up with DB as our NA group grows and builds on our solid foundation.

Because its not like they would’ve had to blow their immobilizes already to down an ele in the first place. I mean, it’s not like eles are ridiculously mobile or anything…

This week has been a very fun matchup, there is definitely no lack of competition. Looks like we will be seeing this matchup for at least a couple of weeks.

WvW in its very nature is balanced and unbalanced. If you are not having a good time and want a more balanced matchup xfer servers. if your server does not have the numbers to compete and you want to be a competitor …. move. we don’t need more buffs or breakout event gimmicks, let us have solid pvp let it balance itself.

I for one am rather pleased with both Krew and WE have been very helpful, respectful and have boosted our NA coverage… if I could buy u guys a round of beers I would! : )

I’ve been saying this since I first watched a downed ele jump into the water and swim away. Its really ridiculous. I have an easier time getting people downed then I do actually killing them, and as a ranger, I have like zero opportunity to ever get away and live when I’m downed…unless im underwater I guess, and I’m pretty sure lick wounds is bugged.

and as an ele, I have no chance of my pet healing me. but hey that’s the advantage of being a ranger. just because you can’t do it does not mean it should be removed. learn to counter, k .

the ele vapor form in downed state does not need a nerf, neither does going in a portal via vapor. it’s part of the game learn to counter it. besides if ur facing a really good ele he/she would be out of there before u even get close to downing them. Oh no I’m low on health RTL , Teleport …. see ya!

I don’t get it, what’s the point in solo a tower? I mean a supply camp sure it makes tactical sense, u can solo it rather quickly, but even then if you roll with a party you get the camp fast and move on to the next. same for a tower or keep for that matter. So why solo from a tactical standpoint?

I’m really interested to see how BP does next matchup. With mag. (no pushover) dropping down a tier, and DR on a streak…. BP is going to have to bring their A game..

I have said it once and i’ll say it again, DB could really use a boost to their NA prime time. with that being said I welcome both WE and Krew. I hope both guilds enjoy playing on DB. I welcome all guild/player xfers from any server to DB, i would like to ask that the culture we have developed be maintained. DB is a classy server and I would love to see it stay that way.

The ‘good fight’ ? What does that even mean? That DH and BP valianly break out of spawn to regain control of our areas that were taken by Guilds who used to be on DH and BP ? That ‘good fight’ ?

there’s nothing ‘good’ about anything during this weeks match-up, lets stop pretending there is.

The fact is both DH and BP still have solid quality players. these players are going to be the ones that inspire others. I mean that fully with respect, I believe you servers will re establish themselves as DB has done in the past. keep up the good fight in general not just this match.

We’re well on our way to getting this thread locked (again). This board isn’t here to complain about exploiters, though there are some of us who would willingly accept private messages with the information necessary to track these people down and get them banned.

I am slowly losing respect for Yaks Bend server. A majority of their posts are QQ propaganda. Posting exploits is bad practice I hope that guy has been banned. what a shame I thought you guys over at Yaks were stand up guys, you have proven me wrong. GL with that guys.

no, it is fair the way it is. your character scales to 80 not your gear… even pve players had to earn their gear. same as WvW only players… which is not pve…

lol it’s fine the way it is. Don’t QQ that you work so hard in sPvP and you want ur gear to work in WvW. you already get a free scale to 80. work as hard as you do in sPvP in WvW and u will be fine. in addition, in sPvP u get maxed gear free… def. should not be able to hop over to WvW like that. personally I don’t think you should scale up either but meh, I guess it works.

What a great week! Good job to both BP and DH looking forward to the next time we meet on the battlefield. DB we worked hard this week, amazing job!
