I just got done watching streamer and 2 peps on his team left, b/c they dont like skyhammer and is trying to get it off rotation on forums. SO why is there no penality for this? He literally screwed his teammates over by re joining right b4 it was over so he didn’t get the penalty against him.
I think what should happen is .
1. once game starts you cannot leave, if you come in and leave you get penality.
2. if you afk at the ent during match b/c you refuse to play (and mind you there should be a box area aka the starting area you have to leave) then you get suspension or something. I find this really sad and Anet needs to do something about it.

I still think she caters to the younger crowd with the who filter is not a license to curse crap. I say remove bad words all together so when i say the F word it just says kitten. b/c suspensions for using explicit words is stupid.. never EVER have i been suspended for language in a game till this one.. shows you that even the kids win one every now and then. I want to know why… IS IT MY fault people chose to take there filter off? No Is it my fault they cannot handle a little cursing… no.. so why then am i suspended for it? I dunno fixing how solo Q works.. Like if someone leaves or rage quits why should that team get punished for loosing? seriously? has this even been looked into? Just curious b/c it gets old real fast.

I agree with you OP but guess what.. Anet just wants to line there pockets with as much money as they can. I did over 150 BL chests not one skin. That is when i said F this no more money to anet ever. Myabe if NCSoft gets away from them they will come back into the light. ATM Anet is moving to the dark side. Also watch how they will say something about how they have to make money somehow.. BUT have you noticed everything that is new has been put into the gem market lately…. o except fused gaunts.. OPS other than that the new skins/fused weps/backpacks everything is on the stupid gem store. IT is as if this game was Korean based or some crap..
Yeah b/c ya know there is a filter in the game for a reason. WHY people disable this filter is beyond me. I dunno about you but I’m sick of getting suspensions for 72hrs when people deliberately take off the filter. I spent money on RL gems.. to get BL chests to try and get Fused wep. THE RNG for it is stupid. 150 chests not a single skin. NOW we got a shield i like and with no way to get it as a SPvP without spending RL money I am kinda screwed.. so how is that fair? I know they have to make money but really…
I run a dps guard and I can tell you I will burn you faster than you can burn me down.. Not even using retal guardians put out some nice dps. I went up against some warriors in TPvP running your longbow setup and found them lacking. They may be new with the build but we will have to see on the 30th how the patch goes. Necros get a lot of love, guards get a boost to dps i hear, the new 3% dam for every boon active for guards will be nice for those bunker guards they go up against. We will have to see how it pans out. I like the fact you share your build with us but you really can’t test it till well after patch. GL till then.
This bothers me for one reason. Some people cant afford to pay for gems with real money or have the money to convert in game gold to gems. Thus they bought the game knowing that it was going to be free and that you can obtain everything without paying a dime. It just takes longer. NOW Anet is just putting a lot of crap into BL chests that people want. Fused weapon skins are a big example of this.. They are out to line there pockets and i don’t think it is fair to the rest of us. Yes we can eventually get it but for some this is seen as not fair and will cause some people to steer away from GW2. I really think there should be another way to get these skins rather than just the GEM STORE. especially when the price of gold to gems goes threw the freakin roof!
And I am just curious how viable they are in WvW.. I play against a lot of really bad engis as a guard and I am just curious how good they are. Also in PvE as well. I really like the engi class and think i will do pistol/shield for most of it. I am curious as to what build will give me the most edge in PvE and WvW3 Thanks in advance guys.
Don’t know who this Natural Portman guy even is but he is terrible I am sure since he is all about boosting his ego and not his gameplay. Been watchin in the shadows for awhile and got to say if I came back I’d prob put the hurt on him with me necro/ele or Guard. O and umm PTCs ranger is pretty good!
LOL won’t happen bro, they like it how it is. Most feel mesmers are OP as it is. This gives them a escape route. It’s just like the 4 sec fear thief’s get when they steal from necro…. Once they change that I can see them maybe changing Moa. Till then prob won’t happen.
Sataarcoeny your ideas have always been great. This would draw me back to playing again. Also once they fix the meta and get more people playing again I WOULD come back. I love GW2 but I just cant justify playing it atm b/c well no one Q’s for Paids.

I hope Anet starts listening soon. I check the forums but the lack of fixes to bugs and the TPvP being what it is taking forever is keeping me away. They did not deliver on what they said they wanted to do with SPvP… They should of waited till now and released it a few days b4 the new year. They woulda had more time to implement the things they wanted AND still launch in 2012.
Having said that we can’t change the past but IF Anet doesn’t do something soon to TPvP then they PVP will totally die out. I remember when there were so many people on it was crazy. Now when i logged on 2 weeks ago the server in the mists was DEAD! And this is Anvil…. I love the game and thank you Sataarcoeny for your ideas. I hope they listen to you.
What server should i go to that has a Awesome pick up population? Looking to do dungeons but Anvil Rock is mostly the PVP server and since PVP is dead atm I want to do dungeons so where should i go? Any suggestions would be great. I just would hate to have to wait a week if i found a crappy populated server. I am East Coast based btw.
Wait on patches man. I left and am currently waiting on patches. PS2 and LoL keep me sane atm b/c GW2 needs a lot of work before it will get any of it’s lost PVP player base back. I left because i got tired of sitting in the mists for hours on end waiting for paid to pop only to have 8 teams… 8 teams out of the whole NA to Q. Really Anet.. screw the meta and fix that problem 1st. No one wants to wait around for hours on end waiting and hoping for a match to pop.
Still feels as though the game will take a while to get back off the ground. I’m tired of the current meta to be honest. Point capping is by far the least fav even among the old GW1 and the newer crowd. Why they chose this in the 1st place is beyond me.
Anet needs to address the real issue and that is matchmaking. The system in itself is broke. For those that do not have teams and want to tourney they go and hot join TPvP. But when they got all the crappy gear from it (AND yes the gear from free tourneys is utter garbage) they get 5 together and go Paid. Only to get stomped so bad in the 1st round that they never want to do it again. The so called “pros” of GW2 need to look beyond there own little ways and look at it from a casual standpoint. I use to play everyday for at least 8hrs a day. I have over 1000 hrs logged in SPvP alone. I was and I still think I am one of the better guards I have seen. But do I want to play anymore no. Simple reason the matchmaking system is broke. Rewards are broke. No ladder system in place. I don’t give to kitten how many QP’s you have, still doesn’t mean your good. Just means you stomped pubs or you used glitches and exploits ans YES we know some of the teams did.
This game is not going to be a E sport for a long time. At least another 6-8 months. They have a crap load of balance to do and they have a lot to implement before even thinking of getting there lost PVP player base back. I will watch from the sidelines but refuse to play until said things are addressed. I have hopes fro GW2 but it fades quickly under the direction they are going.

Until these things are in I will play Planetside 2. It is keeping my interest for the time being. At least it has a ladder system in it.
You still dont get it do you.. ALL of the PVP is tied together… Take your SS, still will be dead.. Doesn’t matter to me ask the people here they will say the same kitten. This games PVP community is dying fast. SPECIALLY when the same teams Q for paids with hardly anyone else Q’n thats a problem. If you think 50 people on one server is popping and populated for PVP well hats of to you but it isn’t.
LOL servers are full b/c of PVE not PVP…….. Anivl is prob the most populated even then there is maybe 150 on in it at a time…. other servers are lucky to see the same if not a lot less.. So yeah more and more are leaving. Just b/c it says full doesn’t mean the pvp lobby is full… its far from the opposite. I PvPd for over 1000 hours and let me tell you there are only so many viable builds for every class. Say no all you want but its true with all the nerfs going on Embershard. And yes PVP is dying faster and faster b/c they did not deliver AGAIN on what they said they would put into last patch.

Yeah saater its a good idea, but im done with the game till the fix it and add ladder system. QPs atm are a freakin and utter JOKE of a way to determine who is good and who is not.. Planetside 2 released yesterday and guess what.. LADDER system in it.. omg…. who woulda thought a PVP game has a ladder system in it, NOT some stupid kittening QP system. All QPs do is show who plays more really… not skill.. and if you say skill I will laugh b/c the tops TEAM used block bug/ svanir rune so yeah no skill required there…
I have witnessed it 1st hand if you wish to deny it.
But I hope they do listen. Maybe Ill return on the next patch and see what they have done to pvp with the 2 devs they have. Till then I am liking planetside 2 atm.. PVP!!!!!!!
Another reason as to why Anet is not listening. The 2 DEVS working on PVP should be fired.. they totally killed pvp.. this adds injury to insult… seriously, 20 sec re spawn timers.. wtf devs.

B/c there “ranking” system in place now with QPs is utter garbage, there is no spectator mode or private servers… nothing along the lines of GUILD WARS at all… They spitted out all this dribble before the game went live only to be like..meh non existent atm.. where are they? Why do they lock every forum that someone calls them out on? Why are they not talking to us much now? OOOOO thats right 2 devs working on this game… LAWLS
matchmaking? you do realize the queue times for paid tournaments correct? reading forums again reminds me of why I stopped before the game came out.
The top teams end up playing each other over and over all night every night, we are lucky to have 2 tournaments running at the same time. People are front-runners when it comes to it, so ANet needs to be smart and work around it. People don’t want competition, they want to see their name plastered on the top of a list somewhere. What we NEED, is teams to step up and play. Challenge. De-throne. League took off after the game was polished with esport stuff where the company waiting to invest till features were completed…ANet is just doing the same. A little confidence goes a long way, the economy knows that best.
All in all, ANet’s first big patch was mostly a success in my opinion. Staff ele’s, thieves, block bug, and portal were the primary destructive forces of tpvp, and have been properly dealt with. Let us all remember this is a conquest mode game, so bunkering will be inevitable, guardian is just that type of class.
I want to just point out that I’ve invested more in this game than any of you, I can say that this patch has great meta changes.. Changes that will make a difference in the balance of this game for the good of those who play competitively. Don’t take for granted that they balance the game on meta tpvp and not pve, most games do the opposite.

Where is our ranking system? B/c atm the top teams get even MORE QPs than b4..which makes it EVEN harder for good teams just forming up to even catch the top of the ladder. The whole QP system is broke imo and now it will be impossible for newly formed teams.. (specially those who are here for the free weekend) that might eventually stay to catch up if they even do… SO tell me how is this even remotely fair to those just joining the game? LOL right step in E sports direction… I think not.
They really screwed up the ticket entry and reward system. As far as tickets go yeah they didn’t do anything to improve it. The added MORE QPs for the winning team so now those that hardly play that ARE better than the top teams will never catch up… GOOD CALL Anet… WTF is your ranking system you promised us!?
Actually I have a few QPs And no i never use Svanir runes… lol @ you for thinking so. Also now with 1st place winning 5 QPs i think it really DOES need reset now.. Those that think its easy to earn them shouldn’t have a hard time getting back up there then should they..
