That’s unfortunate we lost SoR hills. Church and I dropped enough siege to wipe out an army in a few seconds. Only thing I could think of that could hit that for 19k would be Trebs, but that is a singular shot and not cumulative. Oh well, guess we can do it all over again tonight.

It wasn’t trebs, they had no siege built. Zerg full of some well known guilds came up to the North with no previous warning, took out all of siege on the outer within seconds, including cannons, arrow carts and mortars. All siege on that wall was taking cumulative damage from no visible known source and just kept going up and up until the siege was gone. That 19k screenshot was taken right before the arrow cart was destroyed by this. Also there is clearly no trebs hitting the arrow cart. Hopefully whatever is causing this is fixed ASAP.

Happened right after the patch last week as well, getting siege killed on NE Bay in SoR BL, nothing like 20k hits, a few 10ks here and there. Happened when both JQ and BG attacked. Couldn’t tell you what does the damage though.

Yanno, for the first few weeks, I didn’t like JQ. I always thought that was just to much manwich for one bun. But after the few weeks we’ve had the privilege(No B.S., and sadly no more kitten to play against them, I’ve come to like those chaps. Fun to play against, great Havoc squads, and I would wager some really great server communication has just made them a blast to fight on NA primetime(Its the time I only get to play, some odd hours in the morning here and there). This 2v1 crap is getting old now. It always stems from EB. Well loud vocal minority on BG, you’re blue, and it sucks in EB. You have the worst keep, poorly placed towers and several inroads for the other 2 teams into your side of the map.

On top of all that you beat JQ one week. You think you can poke the giant in the rear and get away clean? So yeah now you’re a threat to them and they’re going to focus you, HARD. SoR is currently in 2nd, we know we don’t have the coverage JQ has, we’ll fight them the whole time, but BG’s going to be the focus from us as well. So there you go, you get 2v1, next month something may happen and JQ is 2v1 from their perspective for 3 weeks. Or SoR feels they are being 2v1 on every map. And you know what? we are all right, every team is being 2v1’d, every match, all the time.

I for one am very much enjoying this patch. The removal of culling has been great. Its nice to see each server adapt to being able to see each other and the new movements that have come along with it.

Spent a little time in EB last night and came across this!

Great fights over the weekend, for what little time I got to play. Had a fun night hopping between BG and JQ BLs on Sunday. Now if only I could get those pesky pre-cursors to drop like everyone gloats about!

May I suggest Sanctum of Rall. We’ve been hanging out in T2-T1 for what seems like forever and a day. Our SEA guilds have been working very hard to come together as a network of coordinated teams to take on the 2 giants we currently face in that time-slot. What we lack in numbers currently is being made up for by creative map movement and hit and run style tactics. From the sounds of it, your guild would fit in nicely with the growing group of SEA players that call SoR home.

If you are looking for a stable WvW community, consider SoR.

Thanks for garrison JQ! Must be frustrating to have to redo waypoint in garrison so many times with the amount of coverage you guys have.

Last week shows that SOR will probably continue to do well during NA hours, and it’s due to BG and JQ focusing on each other rather than on SOR.

BG:
If there is a JQ tower and SOR tower, BG will most likely attack the JQ tower.

JQ:
If there is a BG tower and SOR tower, JQ will most likely attack the BG tower.

Most of the time, SOR doesn’t get focused on by 2 servers, so they get to roam and choose who they want to attack. At least that’s how I saw it especially on the borderland I was on. JQ attacks BG tower, SOR gets a free BG keep. BG attacks JQ tower, SOR takes JQ keep.

Both BQ and JQ know who the real threat is. For whatever reason though SOR loves to ride on JQ coattails and give them a huge lead over the weekend. Works out great for JQ though to have SOR dancing to there tune.

Thar that there tune be a blowin’, over there said the hare, but he was bare over there.

That epic lagfest 3 way fight in SoR BL Garrison just now was pretty epic.

All animosity aside, really impressive push from BG late in the week, should be some interesting hours right up until reset.

To the SoR overnight crew, nice job this week, great use of tactics and border jumping to get points on the board. You guys work together extremely well and coordinate between guilds really nicely. Lets hope we can add some more numbers to help you guys out, well played.

I’ve seen this AC thing from a number of servers. In most cases it’s just about placement of the AC, in some you scratch your head, if it looks iffy, report it. Plain and simple, if its a hack or exploit or whatever Anet will look into it, spamming it on different forums asking for an entire guild to get banned is petty though.

PvE night apparently on SoR save for Fear and a couple of others. I logged on, saw that people were PvEing, and promptly logged.

We had a good 5 day push, made some noise and rattled some feathers. Time to chill until next week, when everyone’s population explodes after the patch, those will be some interesting nights and days for all 3 servers. Expect queues friends!

Aside from the forum warrior free for all, we’ve had some really great nights of fighting this week! Big props to the SoR oceanics this week for stepping it up! well done.

Off-topic, on the rare chance I get to PvD, and its pretty rare mind you, I like to make up stories on how the doors have harmed my family in some way. It gives me a sense of purpose when no one is around.

Some of these stories get very elaborate, once I had an entire history for a door at Dawns Edge. The tree that particular door was fashioned from was malevolent, my parent were walking through the forest one day, and that evil scheming tree fell right on them killing my father instantly, while leaving my mother alive for several weeks. Her only form of food being my fathers dead body, she died from blood poisoning, as the tree’s poisonous sap invaded her blood stream and rotter her from the inside out. I took my vengence on that door…….

It’s the little things that make PvD worthwhile.

ughh what? I played from 4pm-11pm CST yesterday, the entire time in WvW, the lowest score I can remember is 225 around 6pm for half an hour or so. Then we sat at 260-325 the rest of the evening. Don’t get me wrong BG pushed hard overnight, but they didn’t run the gambit on NA yesterday.

So, I didn’t say any of that, and I’m asking you a simple question. So far you have done a great job of attempted misdirection yet you’ve very obviously avoided trying to answer it.

I appreciate that maybe you’re just venting onto a public forum, but if you do have genuine interest in continuing forward with any type of meaningful conversation I would be glad to do so.

Here is what I have experienced so far:
If SoR doesn’t play PPT we’re “doing it wrong” and “don’t deserve to be in T1”.

If SoR plays the PPT game we’re “unsportsman like” and “to blame” for BGs lackluster performance this week.

If Choo is in the game? We’re jerks/etc/etc, and forum posts get made.

If Choo responds on the forums? We’re jerks/etc/etc and more posts get made.

To me, this kind of “have it both ways” approach is obviously unrealistic and I suppose I could chalk it up to a fail troll failing, but here’s me trying again to move past the silly.

In your thought what is the ideal situation for the current T1 Servers (IE: no Kaineng should be T1 QQ)?

What do you think the problem is without resorting to straw man arguments, novice level trolling, or other sillyness?

Confirmed. At weekly meetings we discuss face smash strategies. This week the forehead strategy. Last week it was the back of our heads. We found to many people fell asleep at their keyboards using this method.
If the forehead doesn’t get us 1st place this week then we will try the bring keyboard to face strat on reset.
This T1 stuff is hard, we have to keep thinking outside the box and coming up with new strats.

I grew a much larger beard to soften the blow to my face. Due to this, the swelling has gone down and my wife and child recognize me again. I would recommend all male SoR players grow as much facial hair as they can.

Kain comes up so BG doesn’t get overwhelmed in Kain’s stronger time-slot. Kain gets overwhelmed during their weaker time-slot, resulting in the same thing that is currently happening to the 3rd place server in T1. Any way you cut it, the 3rd place in T1, cannot stand to the other 2 servers unless huge gaps for SoR or Kain are filled. It doesn’t sound as if you want a balanced match, just a match in your favor. Aside from the 2 T1.5 servers that get screwed in this situation, we’re also screwing over the other 2 T2 servers.

The overall best situation would be for the top 2-3 servers to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each server from spot 1-6 and spread out accordingly. Well it would be if us gamers didn’t take the path of least resistance and just stack to win like we have been doing. But stacking did happen so we have to deal with the situation, as WE have created it.

Only 2 weeks in and the match-u kitten tale. Maybe its just from my perspective, I have been playing odd times of the day due to work. Same thing happens every day, you can expect the same forces on the same maps doing the same thing.

The forums are the same as well, same ole’ stale bullcrap, same old troll baiting and chest thumping, the only new thing is people complaining about zergs, I still cannot figure out the complaints when we’re all in T1, the most heavily populated servers in NA.

As an honest question, I’d like to ask the people who feel that zergs are bad or whatever, if in their 5 man teams if they have ever killed or attacked a solo’r?

That would be 7am -noon US Eastern which is when I like to play on the weekends. Do you have queues during the week prime time US?

Yes that would be the times we need, as well as some in the hours after or EU prime time if you will.

We do have some queues in US primetime, they are generally fairly short around 10 mins. On the US primetime weekends, they do tend to be somewhat longer, at the most around 30mins.

We do have a very large PvE community as well, there is always dungeon and fractal runs being sought in LA, several large guild do different themed nights of zone running/completetion/karma trains ect. ect. So for the folks looking for a PvX community we have a robust one of those as well.

T1, could and would have the greatest WvW in the game with 3 servers with equal coverage. Currently JQ and BG to their credit have some great coverage with some small gaps. SoR on the other hand, despite having some of the most skilled and dedicated Oceanic and Euro people is quite small, the gaps are quite large. We would love to have more people in those time zones willing to make T1 a great round the clock 3 way fight.

So if your looking for the battle royal, where 3 matched opponents fight each other tooth and nail, improving themselves off the knock down drag out fights of their opponents, consider SoR.

I am not calling wolf, its pretty easy to see when two groups are not fighting each other and are taking turns at protecting each other towers. Everybody can see it and knows it because it is so obvious.

Sanctum last night went out of their way to get to a jade tower we just had taken while Jade was right next to it NOT attacking any of the Sanctum players. Then there is SM when one come right after the other and you guys don t attack each other.

Of course there are the little skirmishes where you do fight each other so please don’t try to make it look like it is not true since it is painfully obvious to see…at least in EB

Welcome to being Blue. The Green server will see you as a threat and take points from you, the Red will take points from you to increase their points. The fight goes this way even more in EB due to the way the ma kitten et up. It feels like your being double team, because quiet frankly you are. Its not agreed upon, there is no super secret alliance, put your tinfoil hat away and suck it up princess.

I’m convinced BG is using the “Forum 2v1 Drinking Game” as part of the meta. Its clear they wish both JQ and SoR to become completely inebriated to the point of blacking out so they can take over each map.

It’s so devious, it just may work. Crafty crafty BG.

There will always be two camps in WvW, one that thinks a zerg is some mindless mash of players, and another who enjoys strats involving zergs.

Small group play will always and has always had a large role in WvW. Smalls squads can quickly take camps, slow or halt supply lines, and take a tower/keep when permitting.

Zergs, despite what some will proclaim, have their own element of tactical mastery involved. Aside from zerging towers and keeps, ZvZ open field fights hardly revolve around spamming skills on CD. Proper troop movement, flanking and use of multiple class abilities play a huge role in who is the victor of such engagements.

Each has its place in WvW and can if coordinated, put a great deal of factors in your control on the overall battlefield. To discount over the other leaves your server at a handicap.

Wanted to pop in and give a big thanks to JQ for all the siege and 75k Gold they paid us here on SoR to 2v1 BG with them. Rest assured every person on SoR is getting their legendary weapons thanks to that gold.

On a side note, when is that super secret meeting taking place to divide up the borderlands? We cant just be running into each other on the field JQ.

We had a few of them on SoR as well. Kinda comical, I guess that’s a downside to guesting. There will always be trolls in MMOs, and more so in server based PvP ones.
