PvP Unique Rewards (Keeping Casuals Invested)

I play PvE and sPvP both. I have gone through periods of playing PvP more than PvE, but generally I am a PvEr.

Unique rewards surely will bring PvEers into Spvp more and broaden the player base. This is needed for game health, better match-ups, and so on. Of course getting the information out there to more PvE-ers won’t hurt either.

I have a number of my PvE friends ask me when tribal armor is coming back. They are shocked when I tell them that people ask about this on the forum repeatedly and anet never gives an answer. It’s already in the game… just make a track for it already!

For people who are saying spvp is not rewarding blah blah… it’s kind of true. But it IS faster to do some things in PvP than PvE (dungeon skins, ambrite weps). It would be MUCH better imo to have unique spvp rewards rather than just give pvpers more money. They probably don’t want money anyway, they want prestige items. The suggestion post above about minis, tonics and emotes was great.

Silverwastes Reward Track

Hi,

I am a bit confused about the silverwastes track. There is none for shoulders — does that mean the reward for this track will change according to the LS? I.e. in 2 weeks the reward will be a helmet (or whatever?) Or will they eventually add one track for each piece? The name of the track is so ambiguous…. right now its non-repeatable, correct?

I agree completely. For the shoulders, I did the story twice, and got 1000 badges for the third one. A lot less repetitive that way, since I did both kinds of content.

I really thought the fleet weapons were going to be obtained from silverwastes, and I was excited. But just another BL set. Can’t say I’m surprised, but disappointed for sure.

Repeating the story isn’t great, but neither is playing silverwastes which got real old after about 3 rounds. Maybe more of the map will be revealed so it will be more like Dry Top (which I personally think is fine, and quite varied if you do it with an organized group. You can do smaller events if you don’t like the zergfest in that map, etc).

I don’t think a person pointing out how easy the content was for her means they are being an elitist jerk and trying to put people down. The sole reason why I have any inclination to come on and disagree vocally with those who say it is too hard is because as someone who loves this game I want HARDER content, and much much more challenging achievements. I feel that what I want out of the game more than anything is being threatened by people who constantly whine about what I truly believe to be easy content. I am not saying everything should be hard, or the story missions should be significantly harder. But I do want SOME things to be hard; and (ffs) for some of those hard things to be actually rewarding (which level 50 fracs certainly is not). I loved Liadri, and I found her to be challenging (see I am not going to tell you how easy I found Liadri).

I think I provided adequate reasoning for why the encounter should be considered easy; it is purely mechanic based, not gear dependent, has large telegraphs, cannot be failed (allows you to retry infinite times). None of these smacks of difficulty in the least.

Did I enjoy the fights? Meh. I’d give them like a B, but I guess mechanic-based fights are as good as it gets for making it accessible. Better than a lot of other stuff they’ve put out. I personally liked the “don’t get hit” challenge in Rytlock’s instance (with the statue) better because it was a bit more challenging, and I used different skills than I normally would.

Edit: Also with Hiashao — I’m pretty sure the bosses don’t pull you into their deadly AoE, I am not sure what is going wrong there… sometimes the small guys are invuln too but they don’t have a lot of health.

Wait – does overtuning mean “hard”?

These bosses are not hard. Not hard at all. Like, not even a little. And I don’t know why people are talking about “attacking” the last boss — the last boss, like the other boss with veiled crystals (the 3rd boss)? Does not need to be attacked.

These bosses are PUZZLE bosses. Gear gives virtually no advantage. Which by definition makes them more accessible, since any class with any build should have no problems or disadvantage.

The only exception is the first boss – who has very little HP (as I said, I killed him before stability ran out. Even on a less DPS maxed build I cannot imagine him being very difficult). The “light attunement” boss you do need to attack, but the gimic is basically getting properly attuned. Once you are, there is really no difficulty.

What is “twitch”? The AoEs are slow with massive telegraphs, and the bosses who do need to be avoided also don’t need to be attacked. There is almost no attacking required in these encounters, except for one thwap to the veiled crystal, so you can put some invuln or mobility skills on to help you dodging if you need it.

Maybe people didn’t figure out the fight and think it is harder than it is? I got a bit confused on the last boss the first time through, think I needed to attack him. But this is not the case – you just need the right buffs to break the crystals; repeat.

The only exception is mesmer — having your clones die instantly on the boss with attunements is really annoying, and makes the fight slow. But not hard. I can imagine guardians for the “no boons” achieve could be annoying too, but the achievements SHOULD be challenging (WAY more challenging than these ones IMO. At least one of them should be hard).

What’s overtuned?

The bosses don’t care about your gear too much (except the first one). The last one you don’t even attack him. I did it all with zerker, and then all the achievements on the first try. The achievements were wayyyyy easier than I thought upon first reading them. I killed boss 1 before my stability ran out.

Fights were a little too long IMO, but they were OK.
Please fix mesmers though so their clones get attuned. The one boss is quite tedious for mesmers.

Hi guys,

I am NOT concerned with the old achievement. It is retired, and I completed it.

But I just spent hundreds of gold trying to finish set I (the new acheivement), and it is not completed even though I have ALL the minis (triple checked) that belonged to the original Set I. Should I send a ticket? Is this a bug?

Im beginning to wonder if anet possibly programmed some of the minis to be from different sets than they were originally?

I just had a friend ping every mini from Set I, and I triple checked the wiki list. I’m not missing any!

I am done Set II, so my only hope is that some of the Set III minis are counting for Set I for some reason?

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I have been through the mini list on the wiki, it lists 54 minis. I have all the ones listed. I think wiki may have listed some Set II mins in Set I, so I am now trying to go off an old screenshot of the mini collection.

It would be nice if they were labelled, or there was a tracker like for the collections achievement. There’s no way to tell which I’m missing!

No, I completed all the old achievements. I have now account bound all the set I minis and only have 51/54. I successfully finished set III with no problems.

Is THIS bugged? If so, is there any way to fix it or do I have to send a ticket?

Hi,

Twice I’ve put 3 lvl 80 exotics into the forge with a forge stone as the fourth item, and twice got out a level 76 exotic. Shouldn’t I automatically get an 80 one? I thought it counted as the average of them (which would be 80).

I’m currently minimizing my game waiting for the dialogue to finish. I came to the forums to see if there was a way to skip dialogue in World Summit that I missed. Guess not… Brutal.

I honestly can’t believe anet tests these acheives in the same way the player receives them, or there would be no way they could miss something this annoying. And it’s not like this is the first time that this EXACT problem has come up — the same thing happened with that “stomp” scarlet acheive, we had to watch that marjory/kasmeer scene over and over and over until any semblence of affection towards the story died.

Krait tuning crystal recipe

The recipe for making krait utility buff (tuning crystal) that is obtained by completing the krait collection cannot be consumed. Double-clicking on an artificer does nothing, and when you right-click on it the only option is “destroy” there is no “use.”

I consumed the hylek and ogre recipes successfully, if it makes any difference. Sent a bug report about 1-2 weeks ago so thought I would give it a shout out here.

- Some form of elite dungeon. I.e., increase fractal cap, hard mode or gambits for existing dungeons, or add an “elite” path (like TA Aether) to every existing dungeon. Best case IMO would be whole new dungeon(s) with unique rewards like UW, DoA, Deep, Urgoz from GW1.
- A few more teq/wurm level raid bosses (they are raids despite whatever anet says), and give us a better way to organize groups for them, other than spamming “join in…”
- New spvp types
- New continent exploration, hopefully driven by new meaningful story (2 new maps in 2 years is snail speed compared to GW1)

Ya, I mean I’m not saying they need to rehaul autobalance or try to fix 4v5s in hotjoin. I also agree with those who say it is practise mode.

However, one friend of mine who I started to get into spvp found hotjoin really discouraging because of the team swapping, and felt like he never got the feel of a real game, it never felt rewarding to win, etc. I obviously couldn’t take him straight to tpvp or even solo queue. Hotjoin IS pvp for new players, plain and simple, and you wouldn’t want them going straight into tourney pvp anyway.

If they just made spectating then rejoining not possible, that would be great.

Are the “heroes of the people” “brewmaster” and wine collections still bugged? I cannot figure out any way to activate them, but it seems weird it would be left for so long as a new feature, and no mention of it.

Or has this confirmed not to be a bug, and people just need to figure out how to activate the acheivement?

I 100% agree with OP. I know it’s only hotjoin, people will come and go, people won’t try that hard to win, etc. But having people leave and rejoin on the winning side is really lame, plain and simple.

One should also remember even though hotjoin is hotjoin, you still get more rewards for being on the winning team. So people who are doing this (spectating, swapping) are profiting from it, it isn’t like a neutral rage choice.

If you spectate to force an autobalance you should have a cooldown on being able tp rejoin the game. New player experiences spvp first through hotjoin, so saying “just play tpvp” isn’t exactly the answer, plus tpvp queues are so long at some times of day! If you want to grow the tpvp community, must make hotjoin somewhat enjoyable first!

I was looking for a post like this to respond to!
Auto balance is annoying, but what really grinds my gears about the feeling of hotjoin is that you can spectate, force an autobalance, and then join the winning team. Not only that but you KEEP the points you earned while on the other team (thus automatically getting credit for the game too).

One of my friends got into to pvp for a while, and we would join hotjoins together and have fun. He would get annoyed we kept getting split it up, but whatever, we would always volunteer for autobalance and try to both go to the losing team. But then he started to notice that the people we were fighting against would simply swap behind us. This was especially deflating for him and made him feel as if other people simply and continually took credit for his wins. This is really silly when reward tracks are tied to winning or losing in hotjoin. I know it’s only hotjoin, but for new players this is how they get into it.

I don’t care about autobalance per se but please do not let people leave and rejoin the SAME game. If they leave, that’s it, 10min CD to rejoin that game or something (and custom arenas could turn this option off).

I also apparently need a random rare drop from Hylek to start the Hylek skin collection. Which I am already finished. Why should I need RNG to get credit for skins I have already collected? I mean.. seriously? So frustrating. I have to like what farm Hylek for hours now?

Rouven – I hear you. Basically, the gift of lightning ones I won’t get, but they should have put a track for all different kinds of rare skins so if there was a skin set you really loved, you could go after collecting them all and feel like it was rewarding. For example, I have no idea how dyes collector did not make the cut, given people obviously like to collect all the colours.

If by Sam farm you mean people doing the ogre meta, probably. But like all bosses it only spawns at regular intervals.

Apparently also the bone spoon is a random non-tradeable drop from the teq chest. *sigh, just what teq needed, more RNG rewards. I stopped doing teq at megaserver release because even though I am in TTS getting into the server is such an kitten pain, and the rewards I actually want (skins) are such a rare drop.

I like the rng here, it makes looting enemies much more exciting since you never know… maybe you’ll get something cool. That’s one of the best parts for me personally, because I don’t want everything NOW, I want something to do in the long-term. Exactly what we got.

Maybe it’s just me.

I think that was the idea. It makes certain items valuable. The problem is that, at this stage, it feels forced. If it were in the game since launch, it would have been fine. But now, two years in, go back and run this meta event a bunch to hope you get some item so you can work toward a pittance of chivos? Ugh.

Collections should have launched with a new continent as a way to make Hearts worthwhile. Do the heart, get access to the vendor, items from collections within. (And remove Hearts from map completion.)

This. If this was in since release the spoon thing would have been hilarious — every new vendor, do you have a spoon?? But 2 years in? Sam went up to 500g yesterday. I mean I know it won’t stay long but it’s silly, no one wants to repeat that content. Also I would be fine with RNG, but have another sure way to get it as well.

I didn’t see a thread for feedback on collections on the first two pages, please merge if there was one.

As a Veteran player, and an AP hunter, collections was the only thing I was looking forward to in this patch. To be honest, I had modest expectations, but I am pretty surprised at how they went out about it…

Things I like:
- Collections for having tons of skins (dungeons especially, I was working on this anyway)
- Mini collection (even with the price spike)
- Collections involving recipes (I always like cooking and the cooking discovery)
- Neat and unique rewards in many cases

Things I dislike:
- RNG. Why oh why are many of the collections reliant on RNG to finish? I have already done dry top a million times (twister in a jar zzz), fotm a million times, wvw, etc. The fractal spoon should be bought with pristine relics, or globs/vials of mist essence or crafted from such things. Or a vendor should open to you once you complete fotm 50. The WvW one should be bought with badges – maybe even tradeable – people have NOTHING to do with badges, or it should be craftable with gift of battle. You can make RNG if you want but PLEASE provide another way of getting these things. I mean, Sam, All-seeing eye, etc… as a veteran player that means the collection is “please pay hundreds of gold to finish” because I am not going to do the Ogre meta event which I have done 10000000x just at the slim chance of getting Sam.
- Similar to above – repeating content AGAIN. I mean Mawdry and the last LS was an embarrassment, re-using events vet players have obviously done (Bria, etc.) and making us do that tedious puzzle in Diessa Plateau. Oh wait, for treasure hunter please do that puzzle again, since for Mawdry you only did the first part! I did that puzzle like the third week after release. Not only that, but if the champ has been recently killed at the end of the puzzle, you have to do the puzzle, then wait for him to respawn. Seriously? Ugh so much frustration. Not to mention some of the event chains to get these so-called “treasures” are stalled at the moment.
- More collections should be related to things.. oh, I don’t know… that people ACTUALLY LIKE TO COLLECT!! Dyes, skins. I was SO surprised there was not a track to collect the rare and exotic skins from each region (shiverpeaks, ascalon, etc.) and having such tracks would have really included spvp players in the fun, since this is the type of reward they get from their tracks. “Collections” in my opinion should not have been a “scavenger hunt” track, but actually collecting things – fractal weapon skins, legendary skins, make a track for every sub-type of skin. This is the kind of thing, for me at least, I would actually find satisfying to tick off of my list and see them all unlocked. Some of these tracks exist – I am totally fine with the ambrite weapons track (even though I didn’t go for these myself) because I know people LIKE to collect all of X type of skin. No one likes to repeat bad content and WP around to different heart vendors.
- Very low AP for hard collections (all dungeon skins), and then crazy high AP for mat dump (ascended armor). I mean the disparity between 3 pts. for finishing all dungeons skins (wep AND armor) and 75 pts for all ascended skins seems a little unbalanced to me. (also apparently collecting all the chaos weapons is an equal acheivement to having all the dungeon skins…3 pts)
- The BL weapons skin track was pretty shameless when so many other skins were excluded from a track. I don’t have a problem with it, but come on, give a track to WvW skins, etc. that are not gemstore or RNG (see: champ bag skins).

Wardrobe and Minis

Although I am not big into minipets, I think this change is a good one. Being able to summon whatever pet you want on whatever character seems an obvious change, especially for those who like to collect and switch it up.

The minipet market will unfortunately be crazy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if anet had plans to bring back set I and II and/or have a minipet sale and/or allow some of the old LS minis to be obtained through laurels (presumably account bound).

Questions (since a red post has shown up!):

1) Will we be given the chance to do something with our MANY queen Jennahs and priests of Balthazar? Roll 4 to 1 in the forge, with a chance for any rarity would still be fine for me. But trashing items is always a drag.

2) What will happen with the current mini achievement: will it go away, but those who have it retain the points? Will both the points and achievement go away? Or will the old achieve become the new, and those who had the old one get the new one?

This is most important to me (and many) who bought minis for the acheive and then sold. From tax, most take a loss to do this (not to mention putting tedious bid orders up for hundreds of minis), so hopefully we will not lose those points.

3) Will there be any way to obtain minis outside of the gemstore? It would be nice as something to add as a rare drop somewhere (maybe fotm, since it lacks in spicy rewards).

Very disappointing news for you guys

I didn’t have time to read every post in here, but I for one am tired of little stupid changed to dungeons (boxes gone in CoE, golem moves now, troll in hotw, yayy….). These changes do nothing but make me learn a slightly different speed run. It is the same OLD CONTENT. The AC update was the only half decent one and even then pretty un-needed imo.

New dungeons with better AI, new boss encounters, new rewards. This is what is needed.

“Nerfing” ways to do dungeons fast is simply frustrating old players, it doesn’t change the meta, it doesn’t make me more inclined to bring new players, etc. But the gamescon interview was really depressing over all, so.

Communicating with you

Announce an expansion and no further communication will be necessary. Seriously, I was really hoping for a big announcement on 1st anniversary… and then on the 2nd. And I thought “Oh well, at least I can play SAB again I didn’t get through it all last time.” Locking out existing content people actually like (especially when there is so little for veteran players to do), I really can’t understand it. The guildmag interview was brutal.

I love this game. It’s so sad I will have to quit because the content release is SO slow and there is just simply nothing left for me to do (and I am almost done my daily points or whatever). All my GW2 friends have gone to other games such as FFXIV which is an inferior game by pretty much every score, but they have content release (including things like classes and dungeons) every three months.

All this talk about communication is really secondary. If we were getting an expansion, or regular large content updates, silence wouldn’t really matter because we would have something to anticipate; i.e. the silence would feel like it was building anticipation for new content. This silence is bad because a lot of people suspect that essentially nothing is coming other than these small LS updates til the end of time. I mean these updates have their moments, but they are simply not enough.

For example, the title “Big changes are coming for WvW” is on the main site, but those changes are a seige golem trait line and coloured commander tags??? This is a communication failure in and of itself, but because of lack of content not because of a lack of blog post. If a player who quit checked in on the website and thought – “oh sweet, maybe I’ll get back in to WvW” and then actually read the post, I can only imagine they would be mortified. At best the blog post should have been titled “minor QoL changes coming to WvW.” The siege golem trait line is something that should have been out ages ago anyway…

I have been playing gw2 since launch and I played gw1 for much much longer. I probably won’t quit gw2, but when I have reached the daily cap in 1 month-ish I don’t see myself logging on unless there is a patch. Three successive play groups that I used to party with regularly have now quit, so the social doesn’t keep me around (if they were still playing I would still play). GW2 has fantastic combat, and I love that the end game is just skins. I like fractals and I enjoy the min-maxing zerking of dungeons, to be quite honest (I play lots of game types were zerk is not the meta so meh). But there is just no endgame content left to play – I have literally done everything and LS is poorly written tripe and the achieves are a joke difficulty-wise.

The fact is, Anet probably doesn’t make money off of me, they make money off of the majority of people who are casual and haven’t exhausted the content, and chuck $10 at the gem shop every month to get whatever.

Still I would dearly love to have an expansion. I know that people who have drifted to worse games due to boredom would come back for a REAL expansion (5 zones, 2-3 dungeons, new map clear content, new race or class or at least weapon types, new wvw map or spvp game type).

After two years of LS added together we don’t have anything CLOSE to one single traditional expansion. The GW1 expansions were amazing and kept me playing for years and years.

List your SUPER EASY Fixes/Changes!

- Make WvW badge items salvageable again or put a red warning “UNSALVAGEABLE” on any item which is unsalvageable. (I mean really, how would a new player know this? Why were mistforged weps unsalvageable, but racial t3 is? Idk…).

- When I equip a two-handed weapon where there used to be two one-handed weps, make BOTH one-handers go into the bag which the two-hander was in (i.e. my safebox).

- Allow sigils on legends to be removed at will, even if they remain soul or account bound

- A way to remove people from your follower list without blocking them

- Allow ascended items to be salvaged. They could drop on exactly the same table as exotics for all I care.

- Champs who will not drop boxes should be labelled as such, or should not be champs. This way new players will not waste time attacking useless champs (inquest at the dry top race event, e.g.) and we will know if champs are bugged or intended to have no drop (Tazza, SE p1? General SE p3?)

- Second above comment — even non-dropping mobs should still trigger sigils like bloodlust. Although having so many non-dropping mobs in the latest LS is really just kind of annoying.

I agree with OP. The story is OK and getting better, but GW2 is amazing because of its combat system.

Hopefully the new story gets some better more natural dialogue, but most of all lets me do some skilled play for achieves, which is what it sounded like!

Also as for my hero being the “centre,” I really don’t care either way as long as the story is well written. The reason I hated it when Kormir/Traehaerne took over was because I hated Kormir/Traehaerne. I didn’t really care when Togo was the focus in Cantha cuz Togo was a bad kitten .

Saving traits and skills in all game formats and being able to ping them are essential to me.

For PvP sigils/runes would also be tied to the build, maybe not for PvE if it was too complicated but being able to switch whenever is hugely convenient and being able to share builds helps the community to share ideas and especially to help new players.

Dye/API/look, etc. would all be bonuses.
I’d rather see wardrobe templates to save looks rather than have it be tied to a build personally.

“I was there” prestige is just annoying and puts undue pressure on regular players to do EVERY LS, etc. without the chance of getting some random skin later. Especially for completionist like me who want the wardrobe to be as full as possible. I had most of the LS items but was happy I could fill in some missing slots in my wardrobe. Also since most of the so-called “good” items were 1600 tokens, I really don’t think it’s so big of a deal.

Rich prestige is always going to be a thing, and needs to be there to a certain extent or people will run out of things to do.

Skill prestige is what we need more of. Account-bound, non-RNG, hard to obtain skins and titles. A little more of that would be healthy for this game IMO as long as it is not associated with limited-time content. Especially ‘skill presitge’ armor sets, since there are currently none.

I’m sure this has been said, but trying to find a (somewhat) empty map for our group to do Teq last night was sheer insanity. When we finally did flood one map to get an empty one to be created, two other guilds were there almost immediately trying to get their group going on the same map. Spamming “join in…” hoping you get in before your friend’s map is full… ahh it’s SO stressful.

Wurm requires way too much coordination for this nonsense, we need better tools!

Please, we either need a) more control over the map we are in (like districts, would be SO great) or b) teq/wurm need to spawn more than twice a day. It’s basically only once for those in NA times zones. The ability for guilds to spawn it is not enough!

I wouldn’t mind it being super rare is the content wasn’t temporary.
Or if gauntlet tickets dropped as a reward from doing the gauntlet.
Or if gauntlet had a fairly decent reward instead of one (1!) token in the chance bag. I guess they were scared of deadeye redux.

Maybe they should add a bunch of “chance” bags to the daily chest when you finish a boss for the first time a day then it can’t be farmed as easily, idk. Then it would encourage people to run the whole gauntlet every day if they can rather than farm deadeye over and over.

I had fun doing new pavillion with TTS. Coordinated, we were easily able to obtain gold 4x in a row and it only takes 6 mins + about 4 min set up. Unfortunately, once again, the majority of players are just going to zerg it (not focus the turret on boom boom, for example, kitten why boss no die?) and thus abandon it. Fun for the bigger guilds though and the rewards aren’t great but when you complete every 10 min not so terrible either.

Perhaps a getting ‘gold’ achieve would inspire people to figure out the mechanics instead of wanting the zergfest back but then people would just complain its too hard to get. I for one prefer harder content but wish there was a better way to organize people other than spam map chat or hope for 6 pins to tag up so you can take on all bosses at once instead of zerging.

Misleading spvp track rewards

A full armor set would take running 23 dungeons paths, or the full dungeon around 7.5 times. One weapon takes minimum 3 paths but most take 6. The pvp track seem quite similar in time investment to pve and unlike pve there is no limit to how much you can progress towards a skin in one day. One track gets you 3 weps (around 900 tokens, or more if you choose all 2-handers), an armor piece (180-300 tokens) and 180 spare tokens. It is equivalent to around 20-23 dungeons paths.

I havent of course compared the time to get the skins pve vs. pvp in detail but this seems quite fair, especially since you are guaranteed every game to make progress towards a skin, whereas in a dungeon you can fail (unlikely, but for Arah pvp is arguably easier to get the skins).

I was always under the impression it was one armor piece. They should fix the tooltip but I don’t think saying it is “2x-3x the work” is accurate.

I would be perfectly happy if ascended items salvaged exactly like exotics; for a chance at dark matter, ecto and orichalcum (or equivalent depending on what you’re salvaging).

Doesn’t even need to be better than exotics, just let me salvage them, especially to recover runes, sigils, infusions, etc.

I’ve been having a great time tracking down lots of skins to unlock for the fashion title! I unfortunately finished the title this morning, and I know I still have a ton of skins locked, such as dungeons skins. It would be great if this title has a second level that was very hard to obtain – GW1 style

In general, it would be nice to see more achievements get some more tiers, new achievements added and current ones rebalanced. I think this is especially needed in light of the daily/monthly cap. WvW achieves, for example need more tiers or more points per tier; I don’t mind even having some of them be ridiculously hard to get but people need more rewards along the way! Having a title track like the spvp (ransacker, avenger etc.) one for world ranks would be nice and would let wvw players display their work and have a consistent source of AP.

I would also like to see an achieve for dye unlocks. I know this is kind of a money achieve, but some players really like to collect all the dyes and it would be fun to see that as a title. It may also give dye prices more longevity. If the title was ALL the dyes (not including special events ones, though they could count towards the track) that would be cool, in my view.

I don’t like constantly being on a busy map. For event dailies this is especially annoying, as I check all my usual spots and all the events are completed. Fighting people for mobs/events everywhere is not fun for me and having an even larger than normal zerg at Karka queen is similarly unenjoyable. I park my alts in low pop cities to avoid load times, now Black Citadel is LA all over again.

Having empty maps once and a while is OK, even nice. Maybe people should have a pane in the options menu for megaserver so it can sort us according to our preference rather than the game deciding whether guild is more important to us than server or friends, etc., etc.
