Cmon ppl where is the competitive forum warriors? Surely BP in the lead doesn’t make everyone a sad panda? No winner is decided until the last hour! Last round BP came back then lost by a hair to AR, was a great match. I know NSP can pull out great numbers to defend(I remember from the failed golem rush recently lol) and we know AR can walk all over NA primetime. Get it into gear ppl!

Yeah, I think some of our more battle hardened players are this way not only because fo the small group play we are able to have, but because we often set up fight clubs.

These small group and 1 on 1 fights with other servers players help hone individual skills better than SPVP does.

I participate as much as possible and make lots of friends from other servers this way as well as get to show my skills off.

We have roughly 15 or so active players, so our presence shouldn’t alter the numbers too much, for those worrying if we were a big transfer guild. NSP fought very hard after reset, they have been able to cover their borderland with good teams! I can tell about QKAs and Os, who stopped many times big groups from AR and BP coming in and even Broke and stopped BreakOut events! Both AR and BP barely touched Greenbriar Tower and Bluelake Tower during 4 hours after reset, allowing NSP teams to attack on EB.

However, I have to give AR and BP thumbs up for their attacks, they give NSP team a lot of work on their BL! NSP had to keep their defenses tight and keep watching the map all the time!
But after 3 hours defending NSP BL, I felt as BP and AR got tired to die and being stuck at their waypoints… Less and Less invaders were coming during the last hour I’ve been on the field, that made me sad somehow to see the challenge being absent over the time… What happened to you AR?

Again, NSP BL has been attacked by both side, but this time they handled it good with a lot of efforts!

I’ve watched a bit the other BLs, I saw a bit more of action than last week this time. Good to see that AR and BP took their courage in hands and attacked eachother, keep doing this and that will be a good week!

After they left, I was having a tea party in a house at victor’s lodge and BP golem rushed Dreaming Bay!

They got it because a lot of people went to sleep, but we cleared them out of garrison and hills when they tried for those and killed all the golems.

It was the biggest action all night! there were around 10 golems at 2:30-3:00AM EST, so it was a bit rough.

Sekz fielded about 20 to our map when they saw DB gone and zerg stomped the bp zerg.

I always enjoy participating in those and it’s easy to get in on a sekz bomb, just gotta watch where they go and you can be a part of the zerg busting too!

BTW, making a comment about being better than a server that fields all of 5 people at night verses what you say is a consistent 20 is invalid.

Also, the person speaking needs to define better.

Clearly the speaker is not better at being neither humble nor positive.

It’s more difficult to play with some classes but it’s not like a necromancer or a ranger will automatically lose a 1v1 against a thief or an ele. The player skill and build has to be taken into account.

Is it easier for a player of similar skill level to beat another class with thief or a D/D ele? Probably.

It’s a shame because I actually really enjoy the classes independently of the fact that they are easy as hell to play.

They are both intense movement classes and that’s what I really love about them.

Also, cloth skins and medium skins are WAAAAY better than plate skins in this game.

Balance is actually pretty good at the moment. Bunker ele is probably the only class that is a little too strong.

The other classes all have their strengths and weaknesses. There isn’t a particular class that worries me except the bunker ele.

I feel as if this only happens after a good build is thrown out there.

I’m going to be real with you, my bunker build was made to heal my guild in WvW and not in fact to kill people.

After showing up in spvp a little, I started getting PM’s and also after fighting people at fight club and stuff from people looking for my build.

Now, a couple months later it seems to be the flavor not and therefore because it is more prominent, it will probably get nerfed because everyone is doing it now.

You create 1 successful build that is easy to play and then everyone bandwagons.

Now I have to go back to my stealth build thief. (Which people told me would never be good when backstab was still around, but not everyone and thief mother wants to do that too.) Just kidding though, I’m never going back even when they nerf Ele’s

I don’t understand why people can’t simply play their own style verses playing someone else’s to win. Kinda getting sick of every class I play getting nerfed and/or bandwagoned or both.

I’m gonna go guardian. It seems to be the most stable class that people wont complain about because they can tank just as good as bunker ele’s but no one complains because they are actually expected to tank.

Dagger dagger eles and thieves are easy to kill people with very little skill, although the other classes can be just as much if not more superior based on build and skill.

My point being:

Thieves/eles= easier for a noob to kill other noobs with.

Necros/rangers= Will kill all of the noobs playing other classes if they are skilled, but will not if they are also noobs.

I play quite a few classes, my mains being Ele, thief and ranger, so I have a first hand account of the match ups and skills.

Rangers have been cornered to a single build that is efficient enough to kill certain classes this is the main issue. Necros are extremely good and I don’t know why no one realizes this. they have plenty of good builds to choose from. The only problem about necros is the lack of effectiveness on siege.

Thing is, NSP has always been middle-ground and it is the best place to be. We aren’t destitute, but we also don’t have to deal with horrible ques or giant lolzergs.

I like it.

With the impending termination of free server transfers, I am looking to move to a new server. All I am concerned with is enjoying my WvW. I am currently on Dragonbrand and it is just not working for me.

Oh, holy hell, the zergs. There are zergs everywhere. You can’t run anywhere without running into a group of 20+. I don’t like it. It is mindless and just a bunch of lemmings face-rolling everything. I want to go to a server that has balanced-ish WvW maps without giant zergs sotrming all over the place. I like small skirmishes and tactics, not battles of numbers. I care about who brought the more talented sword, not about who brought more swords. I don’t like loading into a WVW BG to see 12 different sets of crossed swords all over the place.

So. Who out there is on a server with the situation I am looking for? For me, smaller numbers per fight are important. I play for the fun of the WvW fights, not to “win” and try and move up in tiers. Winning does nothing for a server, or for me as a player. Moving up in tiers takes wins, and wins take zergs. It’s not for me.

P.S. With all of that said, I’d also rather not go to a server that is completely dead either. =)

Well, NSP is in tier 6, and yes there are zergs at times, but I know that personally, my guild sets up camp flipping groups and other servers have them as well and we get a good lot of small scale pvp in this tier without being too destitute.

We have an alliance, a running server forum, and most of all, we are fun.

We set up fight clubs with other servers and have a good lot of pvp fun every week.

It’s a happy medium to be in. not too zerg and not too bare, it’s just right. Wouldn’t give nsp up for anything!

I think this thread needs some more D-measurements.

So, I can guarantee my green numbers go higher than yours.

But yeah, overall the whole PAXA thing is kinda nice. Gives Os a break from the hating for a while. usually it’s us who get hated on.

This. I experienced the exact same thing, and it was really funny because I could stand in the middle of the zerg and watch AR running around me and chasing PAXA’s members only. I was wondering if I was invisible or something.

Some people tunnel vision on those they don’t like.

I enjoy it because I am tanky and get tunnel visioned by VS so all my DPS in back stays alive.

Why all the Paxa hate?

1. They are doing what they want and having fun
2. They arent hacking (i havnt seen it at least)
3. They run from fights that they dont have the tactical advantage, sounds good to me.

On that note tho, fought u guys a couple times last night, was that your B-team or will you trying something new? Took you guys down a few times even when we didnt have significantly more numbers than you.

They have an ego, which is good at times and annoying at others, they have been known to break up fight clubs, or try, which is also annoying, they are very loud, also annoying.

Personally, I have no issue with any of this. I could care less, they flip camps nicely so it’s fine. I am just pointing out the reasons why others would possibly hate PAXA.

Many people get fed up when a group of people have “Come at me bro” tattooed on their chest and keep yelling at at people all day.

My only interaction with PAXA was them running face first into fight club, which had tons of people in it and being the only NSP representative there, being called a care bear while communicating that this was a fight club and the Kaening players and anvil players there would kill on sight them because they are being disruptive to the group fighting.

I do not see this as the best first impression, myself, considering I am a WvW officer for Os guild and help field our people every night and kill many in WvW trying to make our server a better place and keep our objectives. Care Bear is far from what other servers players call me given my combat history.

They could use a little better public relations, but over all, they aren’t someone to “Hate” per say.

That was actually the first night that i have seen BP attacking AR’s BL, so kudos for finally doing that. We have had a ton of fun defending against AR and BP in our BL with 20 people.

It’s painful sometimes.

But we shall persevere!

At least the bags we get are all heavy bags and we get quite a few, so it makes up for the upgrade costs two fold.

I made over 4 gold in 3 hours last night. The night before was even better. then again, I am an Aoe class, so that might have something to do with it.

Well, the strategy used is rather underhanded, although brilliant.

War Machine practices very good tactics, they are a korean hardcore WvW guild and have dedication that some of us with school and jobs simply can’t provide.

They use their personal tactics to reflect the server and then while they are stomping on the lower tier servers, offer the idea of getting to t1 as an incentive for poaching guilds from the servers they have fought against in the lower tiers. this gives them a population and they have made a point to take guilds of opposite timezones to themselves in order to field consistently through all times of day.

It’s brilliant, but since they took the entire NSP night crew with them, I’m a little upset with such shady poaching based on demoralizing a server and giving them a “Grass is greener over here” idea afterwards.

Once again, brilliant, but I think that some of the guilds from lower tier will find higher tier play not to their liking and some of the guilds will transfer and others will simply dissolve. This has happened to many guilds who have transferred from NSP to higher tier servers. It’s rather sad, but it’s not like we did not warn them the effects of transferring and the loss of players, structure, and stability. Not to mention leaving before understanding the play type of t1 servers before actually resolving to transfer.

Also, NSP simply does not have enough people during the week to actually “Attack” anyone.

It’s a big numbers game for us since AR has more WvW participation in general.

It’s much easier to defend with the 20 people we have than attack with the 20 people we have, therefore, we defend.

It’s not about growing a pair, it’s about growing PEOPLE!

I want to say that Birds pictures are completely relevant and I enjoy his presence in forums more than life.

With that being said, we require more people to field our night crew and our mid-week crew. We have found a dip in larger guild participation during the week, although our weekend presence is super strong.

I would like to say, that despite previous indisgressions, I firmly believe in new beginnings.

NSP is a fun place to be.

Yes we are a little understaffed, and yes we are looking for more participating guilds.

We do not turn people away based on their former server drama.

We do, however, turn people away for current server drama. If Ronny decides to cause problems on NSP, this will not be a problem for us, we have taken care of much worse and are strong against opposing forces within our own server.

All the formalities aside, I enjoy cat pictures.

I really dunno what we would do without Birdy on this server, gonna be real honest.

Also, about double teaming, I have no clue what BP is thinking when they were trebbing Dreaming bay and trying to take it the other night while their borderlands was all but garrison blue.

Simply doesn’t make much sense.

There was also a rather large BP camp flipping team in the midst of one of the multiple AR golem rushes while AR Currently held quite a chunk of BP borderlands.

Tactically, what is BP thinking?

The only point gain BP loses is to anvil rock, really, they seem to have a larger population and can field more maps.

NSP is clearly one of the more heavy EB servers. (We have more commanding guilds there than in NSP) What is the point of not attempting to push back in your own borderlands?

Can someone please explain to me why NSP has been Red team 3 weeks in a row? It’s a tad depressing as we suck at holding other BL and I have 99% map completion with everything BUT Green and Blue BL’s.

Poaching does not mean you force some one.

In this context, it is taking people from the other team(Whatever team it may be) by coaxing, or enticing.

The idea of t1 and winning was the enticement and it was, in fact, poaching considering Meow had said earlier at several different instances that they were there to stay and build and work together and so on.

I’m sure if the shoe was on the other foot and War Machine preached server loyalty and then suddenly left, as they would have had the fun wager meow made actually gone through, a few people on kaening would be a little peeved as well.

Yet again, what people do shows their true nature in this game, and it seems very many people are very win-hungry these days.

That’s fine. I’ll take my small time victories and that is my version of having fun, point gain aside.
