Just giving a little update to everyone.

We are still in the process of researching our decision, (Although on vacation right now and not playing too often), we are greatly welcoming any guild offers and would love to sit down and talk together about guild memberships or even do in game tryouts if necessary. (We like tryouts and meet and greets, it helps, trust us!)

I main elementalist, full Ascended gear including legendary.

I have alts:

Guardian with full support gear including ascended accessories.
Thief with all exotics, stealth/scouting build.
Ranger with full exotics berserker evasion build for trololol I hit so hard funsies time occasionally.

My partner plays DPS guardian main in spvp (Very well I might add) but mains Warrior in WvW. (Also very well. Looks good in a manskirt while doing it.)

I was with Os for 7 years.

The T1 problem is a factor.

We do not really enjoy the lag and the wait time, but are most certainly considering the mobility of guilds and their ability to move down to middle tier in order to face different challengers.

Not looking for easy to get into.

Looking for hard to get into and notable. We have plenty of time to look, but thank you for the suggestions. I do know of several of those guilds and have seen/been in their GVGs.

Unfortunately, the information on that site is skewed by the number of GVG’s/the unrecorded GVG’s on it. There are several guilds there having lost gvg’s that I have witnessed (Terribly BTW) that are high ranked after only 2-3 GVGs. Terrible players, terrible tactics, yet still excessively high ranked because of how the win/loss ratio is calculated.

It gives me no extra information other than which guilds have GVGed before, no actual information on the guilds, their structure or skill.

Hence the wanting to talk to people part of it.

But thank you for the suggestion.

We are two individuals looking for hardcore WvW play.

- Must be long established.
- No drama.
- Must have had GvG experience and/or be ranked in NA GVG.
- Active PST.
- VoIp capability
- Mid-tier server. We hate skill lag.

Although we get plenty of fun roaming in our current server, we are looking for a higher level of play involving GvG style and large group (Not zerg) coordination.

We play at a very high skill level and have geared characters including several class choices. I have high GvG experience and have participated in and helped coordinate 5+ different winning GvGs and have participated in many more unofficial GvGs.

Yeah seems legit, good players need to be more than “Thief Mains” to be considered “good”….Plain and simple being good at Thief does not make you a good player, it just makes you part of a small majority (as there are a lot of bad thieves just playing it for the EZMODE)

I loved thief too when I was new at this game, very low risk high reward class….But once you become a decent player, you usually realize that playing thief is not making you any better. The difference between a good and great thief is a tiny gap.

The difference is, you have all maps Qd with giant organized zergs everywhere. THUS, granting you the “ability” to split up and do multiple things. We do this every week, normally. In fact, we do it better than most. This week, however, we have no intention of even trying to win PPT. You have a coverage and numbers advantage. GG, week over.

What’s the point of pushing out of our northern section in BP, for example when whatever progress we make it going to be wiped out by your giant zerg the minute we leave? Our small man groups just pick at your zerg’s backside and rack up the kills. And the ruins are hardly a good place to go if you’re looking for small man fights- that sort of thinking only proves that you have no idea what a “small” group looks like.

Also, I have not seem a single FA small-man group all week. At least none that were memorable. Literally everyone on BP and NSP agree on this, but for some reason you think that’s not the case…

You’re missing the point, if you have a queue’d BL or two then you should probably own more than your Garri.

We are queuing your BL…and you are queuing your BL…NSP is non-existent this matchup…so at that point the fight is balanced for you.

You have a balanced BL, and you aren’t holding or taking anything but Garri.

We don’t Q our BL 24/7 … thus what’s the point in holding more than the north? Your zergs know there is no point to playing the PPT game, they don’t have to respond to attacks by our small man groups because they can just zerg it back in a few minutes.

What fights are you talking about? The only fights we find are against your zergs. I take a keep, I get zerged. I take a tower, I get zerged. So what’s the point in running to the south if I only get the exact same fights as up north? Might as well not run as far. Plenty of kills to be had.

Os is actually a larger scale group specializing in 20v20 style combat, although there are plenty of very skilled roaming types in Os.

In my comment are a couple of my videos. Most of my videos feature at least one roaming clip with an Os member or two. I doubt a person as e-famous as you has time to watch petty roamer videos from lesser tiers, though.

Recently I was out with my good friend and very skilled warrior, Aidan and we got quite a few luscious clips together for my next video. Unfortunately, you seem to sport being in NSP borderland and most roamers tend to go to opposing borderlands to be closer to the southern most camps and middle islands where the action usually is.

Maybe you should be ACTUALLY looking for skilled players instead of kittenfooting around NSP borderland trying to pick off what little pugs we have and actually step up to a challenging player once in a while, hmm?

I’d love to fight XOXO one on one; the problem is that every time I see you guys it’s a 3-5 man group with a couple of random pugs along for the ride, and every time someone declares a fight club somewhere by the time I notice it’s too late.

I will say this though: I was very amused last night when you all jumped my warrior, I dove off the bridge, and then got into a vicious one on one fight with an NSP Guard underneath said bridge while a whole bunch of pubbers got rolled above. To that Guard; good show sir, but i think I would have gotten you had I started at above 12k health :P

Just pick one out and give them a /bow @. Keep doing this until they bow back and duel on. If its a dangerous place, we’ll probably try joining/inviting you to talk and move to the closest windmill or other safe place.

Most of the roaming guild tags will respect duels and will respond as such if you bow and go off to a small obscure area to butt buddy with them.

If you see an [ouch] tag. I duel as well, any time, anywhere you would like! <3

XOXO apparently doesn’t understand the purpose of WvW. If they can’t see why spvp better suits their game, it’s pointless to argue with them.

WvW is open world pvp, isn’ it?
So you’re doing your wvw thing ( running from a door to another to make ppt) and we’re doing our thing ( killing you between these doors) and we’re all happy (most of time )

I personnaly don’t understand the door thing ( it’s not fun for me), but I’m not judging you or suggesting you to move to pveland and do champion/temple runs instead.

I would argue PvP’s smaller maps make it even more “turtley” than WvW. The current meta consists almost entirely of building as bunker as possible and sitting on a point. Pretty sure that’s the complete opposite of what XOXO wants.

WvW Also allows for a much larger build variety.

In SPVP, there is an individual meta and team meta that is very specific.

Even with great skill in a certain build, if the stats are changed or nerfed, it is simply not viable.

I have had less trouble since the staff buff patch in SPVP, but in general, a healing power based mantra heal build on an elementalist simply does not make sense.

Most times, I am posted on home point to bunker, I kill no one, heal no onebut myself and my heals go to waste. They are also nerfed to all kitten.

In WvW, I can go wherever I please, do not have to stay on a certain point, can kite like all hell, can use fun terrain, have the ability to heal and move with my team mates as I please and I heal for a f-ton.

It goes the same for other classes. there aren’t many choices in SPVP, most certainly not as many as in wvw.

Poor Kain. We are having to use ALTS that have supply from previous matches to build rams! We are still fighting, but we dont deserve to be in Silver League. How is NSP only having 125 PPT vs the rank 23 and 24 unless they are purposely tanking. HoD is barely putting up any points either in our match up versus Ebay.

Seriously though NSP has a better fighting chance than Kain does at the moment in silver league. Stop tanking your already non-random matchup.

We at Kain have lost so many guilds that we probably are tier 7 or tier 8 at this point. I mean seriously, we are logging in alts to have to build stuff here at Kain.

Considering the numbers, I don’t think anyone would agree that NSP belongs in Silver league.

Unfortunately, NSP falls somewhere very in between where we do very well against bronze leagues, yet simply can not muster enough numbers for silver league. I do believe the gap in the scores is much higher when we are fighting silver league servers.

It’s all there in black and white. I’m not here to argue. NSP does not belong in Silver League.

eBay is a t8 server for a reason, I understand this, but do you guys really frown upon open field fights that much? Only early in the night did we ever get any and then we found ourselves watching full blobs running into structures when went to eb to look for fights.

Just know that Os enjoys the fights and if we are in eh, that’s what we are there for, so don’t be shy! We know eBay has organized guilds ready to fight and Yb too!

If you’re specifically looking for open field fights, the majority of our guilds run between 6 and 11 pacific time, and outside of that period/nearing the beginning or end of it, you’ll find us in a hodgepodge group from many guilds. They probably won’t be doing much open field fighting because pugs aren’t always in teamspeak/paying attention to what’s happening.

I also didn’t see Os at all last night, so I don’t know where you were looking for fights (my guild was in EBG). I don’t even know what server you’re on. I know that we fought Yaks and NSP a lot through the night. Then Yaks came along with a mega-zerg and we stopped directly engaging them with our 20-30 people.

We have been on at those same times and have been in be. Many times when we run into a group, it’s main objective is to enter the nearest structure until they can be assured they outnumber us.

I admit, it is smart for ppt, but this match seems to be one of the most I enjoyable yet. At least sbi fought us open field with their guilds.

I guess that’s how wvw goes tho. No hard feelings it is just getting stale.

Maybe you misunderstand. The purpose of the new website is to create a community portal for everyone on NSP that will actually be used. We have had a tremendously successful launch in the last week since the site went active.

Nobody is using that old website or Vent server. Encouraging players to get in a Vent server that nobody is in wasn’t working. Promoting people to come visit a site that they can’t get registered on and has barely had any activity since last April was simply an effort in futility.

It has nothing to do with the popularity of Os. I’m not sure why you even threw that in. When did this become personal? Feel free to PM me here, in-game, or even at northernshiverpeaks.org …if you want to discuss in more detail but please keep this thread free of drama.

Met an NSP roamer, downed the guy, let him get back up and bowed – he returns with 8-10 others and i get stomped (while me and some 4 others were working on taking one of our towers back). If that is the way you want to play this game then so be it. From now on i’ll treat you accordingly.

In that case, it might not actually be a roamer.

If anyone’s wondering why they don’t have a wp in SM, Lowlands, hills, and bay for a long time, if your wondering why you don’t have your fully upgraded towers in ebg, if your wondering who it was, it was me. EBay’s rank is actually a bit inflated since they’ve been matched up with servers much higher than them for weeks on end. They have actually gained rating while getting kittenstomped by higher tier servers.

Hell, even NSP is gaining rating at the moment. Stupid system is stupid. Look at the bright side. NSP should do well in their bracket when the leagues start. Ebay and Yak’s will get crushed by the servers that didn’t quite make it into gold.

I agree, the math there should really be rethought. This happens repeatedly in every tier set.

Just know that Os enjoys the fights and if we are in eh, that’s what we are there for, so don’t be shy! We know eBay has organized guilds ready to fight and Yb too!

We do, Rob does not speak for Os in any way shape or form and neither do I.

But I must say after spending time and money on making a vent and forums, a large amount of effort advertising it, I don’t see why you couldn’t just offer to help and advertise what we have since they work just fine.

Also, The functionality of a website and Teamspeak has nothing to do with why you formed a new alliance instead of just trying to work more closely with the one that is already here. We coordinate every night, are very welcoming to those who wish to organize with us.

We offer and advertise the tools, we worked hard to make them and retain them and the server asks why we have very little organization.

It’s because we have very few guilds willing to actively organize with one another and whether people like Os or not is not an excuse not to work with one of the few large active organized guilds on this server.

EVERYONE needs to work together in ONE alliance.

Os isn’t going anywhere, ZoS isn’t going anywhere, the Resilience alliance isn’t going anywhere. How many times is a new alliance going to be formed before people realize we aren’t budging with the alliance and friendships we have already made?

Shiverpeaks.com is still there and active and our NSC vent is still there and advertised for use.

The Resilience alliance is still up and strong, we work with allied guilds every reset night and our server is rebuilding connections and WvW guilds.

I don’t know why this new site was made. We all appreciate it, but it doesn’t really make sense to overwrite what is currently there.

She was brought up in a matchup thread a few weeks (possibly a month, can’t remember which opponents it was) before our main guilds left. I remember, cause I though she(?) was in Abyss but they confirmed she wasn’t (iirc. And it was the thread I learned Abyss had two separate guilds pve and wvw ones).

NSP is still as active. We don’t have much coverage. Our normal guilds are still fielding what they usually do.

We never get many transfers and people transfer off and fizzle out or pve and whatnot. Has nothing to do with not wanting to be in silver league. We will be happy anywhere there are fights, win or lose pointwise.

Also it would be sad for me to rage and be alone, but the sad part is it isn’t just me or my guild in here saying NSP is a kitten about their roaming, it’s coming from both sides of DH and FC, and in fact it’s multiple people. The other side is the only ones defending NSP are either XOXO or OS, and sadly I’ve wooped several OS already , XOXO may be the only competition I will ever come across if that.
