First fight: I was solo skirting in and out of my zerg trying to make plays, was kind of fun til I dove too deep.

Second fight: had a 3 man + randoms, was a good fight for a while but alas randoms can only take you so far.

Third fight: Clear 3v5 and we did the best we could until I dove too far trying to help a random that came in near the end again (must remember they’re not worth it!)

I’ll take holding my own 3v5 since all we’ve tried to do was get you to come fight us even when it’s 5v7. I could certainly feel you guys focusing me which was my goal all along, isn’t the game more fun when you actually fight!?

Jokes aside it was pretty good fun, thanks for the fights.

ZERG vs Splt? U mean zerg vs Glaezer with 1 other guy or by himself. Stop sucking up to guilds that are better than u by putting their name in the logo of your movie. Look at that guardian play. He runs around does about 100 different useless things, randomly blows his heal and spams 1. You might as well not even be in the party. Get some good footage b4 u make these stupid videos. People want to see “quality” play when they bother to waste 5 min of their life watching gw2 videos. You guys suck.

Good – then it was 4v3 and we still chased them and all their pugs back to spawn… But judging from the two videos, maybe they like it there? Anyways- u guys have cut into to much of my game playing :p

Getting spawn camped and running back to spawn is different.

Zerg spent an awful lot of time running back into the tower in my video against equal or lesser numbers.

5 people fighting in their spawn with 15 is a lot more acceptable than 15 people running back into their tower from 7 people.

Check the guild tags at the front. That is PAXA joining in with 25+ HoD to try to kill us. I’ve never seen you guys do something like that before. You hit us while we were fighting those numbers. What’s up with that? And what happened to you is precisely the reason why I always try to get my group to pull out and leave in those situations because I’d never want to be caught dying with a zerg at my back like that.

Below is the fight where you added in. Check the tags. It’s HoD. This was not too long after we let you 1v1 the thief. A fight which you won, but we had to kill you because you went to stomp him. People don’t do that in duels.

Most viable solo or duo builds are gimmick builds in order to help deal with those not so rare moments when you get swarmed. That nature of the game forces smaller groups to run high stealth, mobility, and/or bunker.

We don’t run high stealth/ mobility / bunker builds…. And we still get 2-300 kills a night…So as good players know, it’s gimmick b/c good players shouldn’t rely on that crap to win.

And that “bunker” Mesmer doesn’t run in our actual group. We run a shatter. The thief doesn’t run in our actual group. We don’t run bunkers or thieves…

You use the mesmer and thief to stealth for rezzing all the time (which is good play). Do you consider relying on stealth and refuge to revive downed players a gimmick? Some might. Do you consider what other people do to be a gimmick, but what you do not to be?

IMO, if it isn’t cheating then you just have to learn to deal with it and find ways to counter it even if it does seem cheap to you.

Some of the fights SPCA pulls off in their movies are very impressive. They aren’t winning fights only because they are using gimmicks. They are winning fights because they are good players using well-thought out builds. Do you have a movie 2v4ing an accomplished small man group?

Maybe we should give credit where credit is due.

I like most of your posts because you keep a level head except when you guys played the SPCA trolls and by that I mean teivo Kevin ect. Pony and waff don’t really troll at all they just play. Anyways, thanks for the semi compliment of “and established guild” but truthfully watch that video. We had 2 PAXA running BRAND new classes and 2 KoM late afternoon pug pickups not in vent. I have read you use pugs/non-organized due to no voice chat all the time as reasonining for things, so here it is for you. Waff and rack r good players but hit us on a kitten poor setup. Wedo wasn’t on shatter mes, and I wasn’t on guardian. He was on staff ele, I was on necro for the first time in 7 months. KoM had a bunker warrior… That we dont know personally, and aza was on a staff ele…. We did a combined total of 42 dmg over time points….. Granted they played well so there is credit. But plz don’t act like my team was on and we just couldn’t crack 2 SPCA.

Is that the time I had switched to staff to deal with the large number of nsp only to find 2 SPCA right outside out spawn? As soon as I switched to d/d, it took 3 attacks to turn the tide and force them to run at which point we won. The amount of importance builds have in this game is a bit ridiculous to be honest.

I just stay staff all the time and take the hit to the damage for the lulz.

:) We kind of miss the match up, although it’s nice having really close scores like this. For a long time, we had transfer servers moving up through us and had a lot of guilds leave our server all the time. Now that the paid transfers are up. we are bulking up on our natives and getting our numbers back in order after losing pretty much every organized guild on our server cept Os, Zos, Bots, and, NOOB. We have gained some new and improved allies since then and we are feeling good after being tested int he higher tiers.

You should be a bit more respectful towards other small man guilds. Its a close knit community If you write too many checks and are known to be a disrespectful guild people will start talking about the checks that bounced.

You folks are decent but you should understand at this point there is room for improvement after getting some guilds serious mode on you.

I find its easier to set up GvG matches vs other good groups and try new class makes ups or play alts when egos are put aside and people chill with no fear of trolling.

It’s interesting that a lot of these small man groups looking for fair fights have people that consistently add into fights or wait to hit you while you are still fighting other people or just coming off of a fight knowing full well that will give them an advantage.

Want to know who I respect? Splt. Yes, they will go after you when they have more numbers (or even numbers or less numbers). Yes, they will attack you when you are fighting other people. But, they don’t complain on the forums when the same thing happens to them.

Splt is like the classy lady everyone wants in the bar but no one can have.

All three of our servers suck at WvW, we have a horrible rank. Having an ego in 13th or 14th place is hilarious.

So take a step back, realize whichever server even wins this match is still a poor WvW server and put your ego away. I’m trying not to be super specific and point fingers at anyone so nobody has to get super defensive but seriously, come on guys.

Lets have a good fight and maybe show a little more respect all around. I know it’s possible, there was a ton of that when SBI was at the top with HoD and JQ and I’d argue servers in 1, 2 and 3 have a far more difficult time maintaining tact and not letting ego’s get out of hand than people in 12, 13, 14.

Clearly NSP does not suck at WvW.

And that’s great. Just pointing out bragging about being in even 10th place is well, 10th place. In almost every sport you don’t see a big celebration for 10th place. Shoot, you don’t usually see a celebration for 4th place.

I play this game for fun and some of the ego’s in here are just silly. Since you are from NSP I’ll make it clear that I think NSP has a ton of respect and carries themselves well on the forums. Most of what I said wasn’t directed at your server but I wanted to generalize it so people didn’t get immediately defensive and ignore it.

Bottom line, the ego’s are ridiculous and again downright funny considering this is so far from the top. Why don’t we agree to put them away, play the game and show some good sportsmanship.

Really, I have to agree with those that are disappointed with the lack of small-group play here. It feels like NSP has kind of developed a “must support the zerg” mentality thanks to their outmanned matches. And that’s not even mentioning the apparent impossibility of getting any of you to duel.

That being said, great duels from a few individuals. Noodica, those dogs are buggers. And Crit Sinn, I downed you what, 1 out of 20 tries? XD. Good fights, good fights.

Not really. There are still plenty of small group roamers.

I just spent a good 3-4 hours in SBI duo and we kept getting anywhere from 2-3s to full on zergs coming after us.

Not many very consistent roamers. Did have a few fun fights though.

SPCA, SPLT and XOXO still often come out to play.

To everyone else, please don’t let listen to the vocal minority from our server. We are not offended by you guys focusing us. The number 2 and 3 servers are supposed to focus the number 1 server, that is the point of a three way battle. Of course, it is frustrating for GoM, but it must also be frustrating for you guys. I actually respect NSP and DR more because you are not playing for second.

Now of course, Os would focus on GoM no matter who is winning, but that is only because they have a HUGE crush on us. We love you too Os.

I know we had our spats at times. I know we fought bitterly towards the end there, but we really, REALLY miss you and we’ve been thinking we made a terrible mistake leaving you for SF. At first, Sorrows Furnace seemed like it was everything you weren’t. On our first few dates, SF was super easy to get along with. But after we started going steady, SF turned into a total nightmare to live with. It’s just not working out. SF is, like, totally wrong for us.

Look, we… we might have rushed into things. We regret breaking up with you, GoM. You should move back in with us in T7. SF just doesn’t get us. Last night at 4:00am they camped our spawn point for hours with a massive zerg while they simultaneously hit our keep so we never had a fair chance of defending it. I know we accused you of cheating on us with HoD, but you would never have camped our spawn point like that. Never. You always took our keep fair and square. SF is super insensitive to our needs. They mercilessly taunt us on the forums and mega zerg us constantly. It’s just not the same as it was with you, GoM. Nah, too zergy for our liking. Nothing against people who enjoy running in 15ish people prime time, just not for us. Hope you’re enjoying the tier though, I know there’s a decent amount of groups that run around in those numbers… also the bad zergs like MoB (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8mhcGMmsNk “GROUP UP” -zergballs- “MOVE IN 3, 2, 1” zergball rolls down a hill) that are easy bloodlust stacks.

Yeah, this is a really bad tier for 5 mans, for sure. Once primetime hits there are some insane numbers moving around at times. I think one of the reasons is because the matchup is very close. In the upper tiers, when there is a blowout the population drops (for all sides) significantly after the first weekend leaving mainly people who PvP just because they enjoy PvP. When that happens, it is pointless to run 10-15 and we typically break off into separate groups. Can’t do that in this tier ATM during the evening.

Hope you get the small-man thing going on T8.

I’m gonna have to disagree with this. I’ve been doing nothing but 5 mans all week (aside from last night, when an unheard of amount of [RH] were online) and I haven’t had a problem at all.

I’ve run into other small groups/skirmishes/3-way fights pretty regularly. It’s part of the reason I’m having so much fun in this tier!

Sure we run into the occasional zerg, but then we either run to our guards or try to make sure we take out at least twice our numbers.

The fact that people are referring to groups of 15+ as zergs leads me to believe that we don’t realize just how good we have it here. After all, it gets boring wiping 5 mans all the time. The occasional 10-15 man group is a welcome challenge

Zerg is a word based on proportions.

1v5 = zerg
2v10=zerg
5v15=zerg

I know it has been adulterated given the idea that zerging is a play style, not a number, but what most people refer to the word nowadays is the proportion, not the skill level.

Even if you are great at playing your class, have a large group build and your group of 15 rolls absolutely everyone else with equal or higher numbers, even if you don’t just press 1 and actually put effort into fighting large scale battles, you will be considered a zerg based on proportion.

Learn to not take offense to it, because you know who is better in equal fights when you come out the other end alive.

Anyone who claims to get more than 150 badges per 8 or so hours is either lying or in Red Guard.

Huh? RG isn’t the only guild that can rack up badges.

8 hours of active W3 for me can easily net between 1 and 2 stacks of 250 in T1 NA.

I am thinking about 2000 badges per item on average would be a good price.

’scuse me there are 6 T1 servers and 45 non T1 servers in the game, so its not about T1.

The most fair way to compare is to use time required to obtain in FotM and WvW. For medium-low tier servers it varies, and Anet has more accurate numbers than any of us. In my case 8 hours might get me 250 or so, depending if I’m sitting on cannons/ac’s or repairing/building defenses and doing the job others refuse to do, which again shows that doing the right thing in WvW is the least rewarding.

I play in t7 and I make about 250 in anywhere from 3-4 hours.

I have to imagine T1 is at least double that.
