So in order to avoid getting low rewards, you have to make sure you don’t finish a dungeon in under 30 minutes and you can only run a path a day? Which means you can only run a dungeon 3 times per day (3 paths)?
Where did you get that?
Please focus on fixing the dungeons first.
Then balance, then rewards.
I don’t think he particularly needs a treadmill, it’s the fact that doing anything barely gives you any money.
I haven’t once gone over 2 gold, there’s way too many gold sinks, not enough ways to make gold.
A good ele.
At least he’s on par with a bad guardian.
GW1 died because they stopped putting out expansions.
We ask for more loot, so they give us less.
So lets try this.
I’m fine with the dungeons, they aren’t bugged, they shouldn’t give anything at all.
make spvp 5vs5 so this “5vs5 tourney is leet and hotjoin 8v8 no one takes seriously” will stop.
When a bunch of people join with no group composition, you can’t really expect it to be taken seriously.
When testing builds using a skill with a large CD, we gotta wait a minute or two so we can use the skill again.
For testing, it would be nice if we could just have the CD reset so we need to wait.
You need 100% to make some of the legendaries.
They gotta make an option to save screenshots as PNG.
I don’t get the point of doing this at all.
That would depreciate the amount of fun I receive from running said dungeon because it is considered a reward.
No thanks!

I completely agree with OP. It’s sad to see all the rabid fan boys lash out at OP in such a way that they do. Someone even called his initial post “shoddy and quickly written”.
Massively flawed post.
I’ll help you.
The main problem is, you seem to lump everyone who disagrees with OP into a group, “rabib dan boys” as you say it.
Now, trying to not be biased, it seems that attack was unprovoked, I don’t think anyone said anything to you.
You really didn’t bring up any arguments either, just shot down everyone who disagreed with you.
Yeah, but they just did it wrong.

There’s a lot of “pop all cooldowns > go for the kill” builds. And that’s a major problem.
Very gimmicky builds that if fail (100b), make the class a 1 trick pony.
They aren’t viable against anyone but clueless players.
edit; I love how angry you’re getting, and all these numbers you’re pulling out of yourkitten How come everyone against the game is MLG in every game at MLG?
(edited by Untouch.2541)
I like the torch for the blast finisher.
iMage does way too little damage and attacks way too slow to be viable.
Ugh, I really didn’t like this map in RIFT.
Turned into a zerg, tanks with gear ruled over everyone else.
Might work better in GW2 though.
It was engie during the beta, engie bleed builds were really OP.
Flavour of the week.
Last week it was warriors.
I was quite disappointed when I found out what we have now wasn’t a beta thing.
Remove the condition healing, I play mesmer, dodging spawns clones that apply conditions.
I’m not going to change my entire build for 1 part of a fight.
Isn’t that just changing a trait when you are out of combat? are you serious?
The trait is a very important part of my build.

They`re adding duels, I`m get the screenshot proving so, but I`m on my laptop.
If you are D/D, use deathblossom and condition/evasion builds. If you are using S/P, use pistol whip.
No!
Don’t tell the forums that thief can be anything more than cannon fodder, they’ll want it nerfed.
You probably don’t notice on some races more than others, but really, all races travel the same speed. How fast you are moving your legs and how fast you are traveling are not equal.
You get used to it very quickly.
If I rolled an asura it’d feel like I’m moving very quickly.
Don’t worry, they’ll make mesmer useless next.
Can’t kitten wait.
I’’m getting it right now in this thread.
This was really a problem during the BWEs, haven’t really noticed it since, I play a norn though.
I don’t really care if you think the game isn’t complex enough or something, I’m stating what I think needs to be done to make the game ready for e-sports, if it ever happens.
1. Particle soup
I find GW2 is enjoyable to watch when you know what’s happening. The problem is, often you can’t. Effects are flying EVERYWHERE, even on the most basic actions. Switching attunements causes an explosion, shattering causes an explosion, combos cause explosions. It REALLY needs to be toned down. In other games, effects happen as well, but much smaller. It seems arenanet tried to make AOES stand out, but in doing so they made them very “in your face”, it’s a clusterkitten.
2. Time
It feels like 500 points takes too short, maybe it’s because I’ve been watching other teams roll other teams, but games can be over in like a minute. Change it to 1000?
3. Balance and downed state
Should be obvious, but some classes need balancing. It doesn’t feel like any balance was put into downed state (it was though, they made mesmer weaker in the BWEs, still OP though), because thief, mesmer and warrior are over the top.
4. Ranking
There’s a ranking system in the game, but it’s pointless. You aren’t matched up at all in tournaments, it may as well not even exist. There’s a tournament scoreboard and it doesn’t even work, oddly.
5. Spectator
Yeah, I know, this is coming. Something like tf2 spectator mode would be nice.
Again, tournaments.
They need ranking though.
Illusions look different than clones.
Clones are only useful for shattering and conditions.

Blurred Frenzy doeskitten for damage. It’s not an attacking skill, any good mesmer will say that.
1. I doeskitten for damage.
2. You can’t move while using it.
Try tournaments.
I wonder how many people who are whining about “zerg” have done them?
I can agree the underwater map is awful and the effects need to be way toned down, but the difference between 5v5 and 8v8 is very high. I don’t even know why 8v8 exists.
It’s funny, they probably want something like this.
Adds nothing to the ame, but more for me to grind to make me feel like I’m progressing.
There’s nothing at all stopping you from replaying it.
Grinding raids every week is not replaying the game. Take the people who log in once to complete a raid? Nothing happens because al they do is sit in the capital city waiting for LFR to tick down.
It’s the skinner box.
A design concept that has plagued MMOs so hard people genuinely think it’s good.
It’s how you keep subs up, creating the illusion that you’re progressing.
In reality, you don’t though, you still stay in the same city, doing the same raid until you move onto a new raid and repeat until updates stop.
To these people this is all that endgame can possibly be, shuffling you onto the assembly line for no real reason. It may as well be cosmetic because the bosses scale up and you don’t unlock anything new.
I want GW2 to change this, but it won’t because this concept has been so deeply entrenched into the genre that it’s become a core design.
They said during beta they only have conquest to start things off and they’ll add more game modes “shortly”.
PvP is a major cluster kitten, and I fear the future if it remains this way.

Agree. Idk if there’s much they can do about it though.
All they gotta do is tone down spell effects, which really if they want it to even have a chance at becoming an e-sport they’ll need to do.
ColinJohanson, I think you should read this thread.
I think that’s what he meant when he said more mechanics.
Remove the condition healing, I play mesmer, dodging spawns clones that apply conditions.
I’m not going to change my entire build for 1 part of a fight.
10 – Undead crab in the sylvari zone
80 – Another undead crab in Malchor’s Leap
Lornar’s Pass
All the CC they give.
I was kinda disappointed with orr, the preview made it seem like WvWvW but against bots.
That didn’t happen though, everything was “static”, I kinda expected roaming groups of mobs attacking points, but in reality it was timed events that spawned mobs.
This thread isn’t about that though. If there was a new zone, could we actually make what I wanted?
Could the event system be more “sandboxy”?
I’ll give an example.
In a new zone, a wandering group of enemies homes in on a nearby town on their own accord, with AI or something. It starts an event to fend the town off. If you fail, the town is destroyed.
Now, instead of the enemies re-building the town, what’d be stopping US from re-building it? Maybe we have a limited amount of supply and have to choose what buildings we can remake? What if the town can grow?
It would be fairly difficult to implement, but it would be great (until people find a way to abuse it for gain at least, about a week).
Thoughts?
Clones stack conditions like crazy.
All of the bosses in a way are graveyard zergable due to the waypoint system.
We shouldn’t be able to spawn during a fight until everyone is downed, make the spawns contested if a boss is under attack.
Yeah, they should listen to the NEIGH people instead.
I’m not especially convinced by ANets concept of having “tokens” as rewards for completing a dungeon. Getting loot in WoW was far more enjoyable, tbh.
They wanted to give you tokens where you can buy your gear instead of relying on RNG.
The subject of the thread is clipped, I guess your trying to say that thieves are abusing the ability to hide whilst using F, but I can’t be sure due to the clipping. Perhaps editing your post to explain what you mean may help.
In PvP, to finish off an enemy you press F and wait for an animation.
The animation gives you time for an ally to CC them to stop the animation (or you, depending on your class).
Thieves can stealth (mesmers can’t, even though they have a stealth) and finish without being seen.
