Doesn’t give you the best gear at level 1 though.
You guys know that if they’re trying to make us buy gems, the price of gems will drop.
It’s REALLY low now like much lower than it should be.
Anyone who has a clue to get money can get anything they want from the cash shop easily with gold now.
There wasn’t even a patch.
It’s there, there’s kitten to do. If you don’t like what you have to do, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
While I say that, I also say it has a very large problem that was obviously overlooked.
I don’t mind grind (I’ll bring this up later), but I need something that keeps me going. Fun? Yeah, fun kept me going through the main game, grind isn’t fun. It can be stimulating, but I don’t find repeating things over and over again to be fun.
I played runescape for a really long time and quit, but I actually got an untrimmed HP cape (quite rare, had to get 99 HP without getting any other stats to 99). It took a really long time, but I actually got rewarded for it while getting it.
In GW2, the dungeons drop AWFUL loot. Really awful. I have never seen someone get an exotic, let alone a rare from one. You feel really demoralized when the chest opens and the game gives you terrible blues your class can’t even use. The money you get is a joke too, barely covers the cost of repairs.
Even in GW1 you got good stuff while grinding. I don’t know how they missed this.
They gotta up the drop rate for rares by a very large amount.
Also they gotta fix and tune the dungeons, but that’s obvious.
None, played RIFT a while ago for like 2 months.
Betting in sPvP would be cool.

I, again, am going to bump this thread.
It does work like that, just on a very very low timer.
I agree with the bugged part, I’m at like 95% in all the orr zones and I can’t complete any due to bugs.
They gotta get this fixed quick as a priority.
I wouldn’t mind a LFG system.
PvP 8v8 really isn’t what PvP should be, the maps are too small for 8v8, they should force 5v5.
You can hit the “Endgame” within 5 days, get the best gear
Why would you though?
I’ve only really came across 1 invisible wall that was a pain in thekitten I have no idea why it was there at all.

To the people saying “there’s going to be cookie cutter builds”, so what?
These people are called “mix maxers” and are generally awful at the game, trying to run everything as fast as possible, disregarding the content.
1. Blurred Frenzy
The hitbox range is too small, slightly too small. You can swing and miss even if your sword model hits the enemy. Increase it to 160 range.
2. Illusionary Leap
Anyone feel the range is way too low? For a skill you use to get closer to the enemy, the skill requires you to be awfully close to use it.

Not even a step forward tbh
Guild Wars didn’t have the trinity. It did have healers, but that’s not really a trinity.
The orignal game was a trinity system. You couldn`t solo through the game without a group without a healer and classes that has some support skills. The only thing it didn`t have was taunting but everything else was still there pretty much.
There were some builds early on that let you solo some content but those builds all became obsolete once anet found the builds were too successful.
You can’t solo in GW2 dungeons either.
“Combat res” – Instantaneous, on a large CD
“Res in GW2” – Takes a while, no CD
Okay, thanks for the announcement.

But that wouldn’t please both parties. I enjoy the logic behind the skills. I remember when i played wow how much I hated how I could rend with a mace, or stun with a sword. The game in it’s current state is all about what weapon at what time. It’s based around the simple logic “bashing things bash, magic things pew pew”.
I don’t think you get my idea.
A sword isn’t going to have a mace skill, just a choice of sword skills.
Completely disagree on your point about DEs almost all the way except for the part about scaling.
There is backstory, try following the NPCs once you’re done the event.
The talk, just because you didn’t listen doesn’t mean there’s no backstory.
Just wait till you get level 80.
What’s going to change when I hit 80?
Nothing.
It’s still the same game, more bugs though.
Torch skill 4, if you dodge while using it, it stops your stealth and puts the skill back at 4 second CD.
Don't see the point of the PvP gear in GW2, maybe I don't get the system?

Actually RIFT is equalizing gear soon too.
Yes, lets make all tokens universal that way I can farm CoF 100 times for a set of TA armor. This will surely remedy the number of CoF groups.
Better than not being able to get TA armour at all.

Rez zerg isn’t due to the trinity.
You could do this in GW1 as well, but it would effect you much more due to death sickness.
It’s a flaw in the waypoint system O hope they fix.
I posted something the other day about raids, I’d welcome them if they could get them to work.
No gear “progression” though, that’s a game breaking virus.
15x? lol…
And if you want armor from TA, do TA. I went through it 3 times earlier.
15x only the first time, so people don’t try and finish it as fast as possible.
Alright, maybe 15x is a bit steep, 8x?

I am now bumping this topic, there should be an option to do so.
RIFT’s dungeon system was kind of similar as far as tokens.
Doing dungeons gave you tokens to buy armour instead of the armour dropping.
Instead though what they did is make it “daily” based.
You count only get tokens from one dungeon each day.
That’s bad, but what’s good is it mixed dungeons up. People didn’t just only do 1 dungeon.
GW2 could profit from this, having a “dungeon of the day” which gives 15x the tokens if you finish it once.
People are just doing CoF right now, what if I want armour from TA or something?
ALso, while you’re at it, normalize the tokens, make them plain “explorable tokens” instead of tokens for each dungeon.
People don’t know what they want.
They can’t move from the mindset they’re stuck in.
Some of the complaints are legit, in regards to bugs and tuning of things though.
There was literally reams of info about this game prior to launch. Videos, reviews..you name it. Its really hard to imagine why you even thought this might be the type of game for you?
Unless you…forgot…to read?
Reading is too fast, nerf reading please.
And what is your game of choice?
My guess would be Solitaire…
What Solitaire are you playing? Mine has a time limit, way too fast.

Note: This isn’t a small suggestion, itd’d add a lot to the game and would take a lot of work to implement. I think it’d only do the game good too, managing to please both sides of the argument.
I’ve seen people complaining about the skill system, saying it doesn’t allow builds. I feel they’re wrong about this, but they aren’t far off. There aren’t too many combinations we can use for skills. On the other hand, I actually like the skill system due to how it works, giving us everything so it doesn’t just feel like we’re strong at endgame, it rolls well with the "endgame starts at level 1 (or 30 in this case) concept.
The people who have complained really haven’t offered a logical alternative and just suggest changing the core gameplay. They clearly don’t have any idea of game design and don’t realize the re-percussions that would happen.
I (or at least I believe I) have come with a solution that would please both parties, while keeping the system fairly similar, still basing the weapons on skills instead of allowing us to slot a bunch of skills.
To start, weaponskills will be catagorized into 3 colours, green, yellow and red.
Green – Skill 1, no CD skills
Yellow – Moderate skills, low CD
Red – High CD strong skills
For example, staff mesmer.
Skill 1 is green
Skill 2 is yellow
Skill 3 is red
Skill 4 is yellow
Skill 5 is red
The concept is allowing us to pick our weapon skills for each weapon.
Instead of giving us 5 skills per weapon, we get 7 or 8 and get to choose which 5 we can use.
The concept of the weapon system is still their, I can only use staff skills while using a staff, but this opens up much more builds without really effecting the current system (besides the meta at least, it would need to adapt).
For main hands you NEED a green and a yellow, the last skill can be red or yellow.
For offhands you NEED a yellow, last skill can be red or yellow
For 1 handed weapons you NEED a green and 2 yellows, last skills can red or yellow.
I find it’d add a lot to the game and would add more builds, the weapon by default would be the default weapon without any changes so if you don’t like choosing skills you don’t need to.
Before you post “I think it’s fine”, stop. I think it’s fine too, but it can be better than fine.
“Nerf [class that counters my class], it’s OP, buff [my class] it’s UP!”
every MMO class fourm ever
I think that’s supposed to happen.
The maps really are too small for 8v8.
Good: Actual difficulty of the dungeons, makes most bosses more than just pressing a buton.
Good: Managed to remove the holy trinity without being a mess.
Bad: Loot, not talking about gear treadmill, I rarely get greens from dungeons, let alone blues, there’s really no point of repeating storymode.
Bad: Some aspects are way overtuned, the dogs in TA come to mind.
Bad: Waypoint system in dungeons needs to change.
Good?
Really do you want these people to stay in the community?
Starting to get annoying having to repeat myself.
The dungeon zerging is due to the waypoint system, not the trinity.
The system means you can run in and die with no consequences, the trinity being removed has nothing to do with it.
People aren’t complaining about the lack of treadmill, they’re complaining that dungeons give so little tokens and so little cash/loot (not even exotics, they barely give rares) that running them loses you money if you factor in the repairs.
Just did it.
If it isn’t bugged there is some massive screwup because so many things went wrong.
No sound, no music, the ship was stationary. The goo he shot did nothing. The cutscene messed up.
NO AVERAGE PRICE.
Please no, this ruined runescape’s market.
It’s fine outside of people using it as a trash bin.
People aren’t very smart, also so they can vendor stuff without going to a vendor.
Little do the know the stuff never sells.
Remove the ability to put stuff in the TP from anywhere, people would complain, but it needs to be done.
They wouldn’t be legendary if they were easy to get.
Some numbers need to be tweaked, but this isn’t one of them.
By the way, they aren’t better than exotic, look up Dontain’s video.
The AI this would need to work is far out of any developers reaches right now.
This happened to me before too, think it’s a bug.
Maybe your class will become flavour of the week when someone discovers a very easily counterable but strong build too!
There’s gear grind, but no gear treadmill.
I’d say the game needs to grow before it has a chance.
Way too early.

Before launch I said raids couldn’t work.
I thought they’d become massive zergfests, like champion mobs in meta chains.
While my mind hasnt changed about that, after killing Tequatl I’ve been wondering, with the lack of trinity, could roles still work?
In the sunless fight there are people on the tanks, people killing the monsters attacking the people on the tank, people attacking the adds, people attacking the bone wall, but really none of this is a requirement.
The fight isn’t really structured which is understandable, can’t really expect 50 people to flawlessly cooperate. What, though, if arenanet actually forced this?
What if you NEEDED to kill the bone walls, what if you NEEDED to protect the cannons?
Could actual structured 20 man raids work?
