Your disgusting mentality is the reason why GW2 and wvw will lose more and more players. sos and cd are not even playing anymore, because they are getting destroyed non stop on EQ. Even if their players decide not to quit GW2, we may have nothing to do until the reset. Meanwhile other players (on other servers) are gaining new WXP upgrades.

The reason WvW will lose players on weeks like this is due to the terrible match making system. There is no reason a server of DB’s size should be against CD (don’t know much about sos). We honestly just don’t have the numbers to cover anything, it’s just zergs everywhere. Oh and as i said earlier, the fact that DB pushed our mini zerg all the way to the spawn stairs on EB made things so much better. Lol we get it you are a huge server, we have no chance, hell you are already up double our score, so why not show some class and at least let us get out of spawn before the bag farming starts. A few of us just sat on the stairs with the invulnerable buff and we were still targeted and fired at lol. It was ridiculous.

I don’t see why soulbound legendaries are bad for alt characters…wouldn’t account bound legendaries reduce the amount of game time a player would play? If you want an alt to have a legendary then you gotta make it on that character, i.e. more time playing as the alt..

I’m on CD, usually run with my buddy, thief & necro combo, you can def join us anytime. We roam around and are always open to CD friends. We are usually on every night 6ish to about 10-12ish Central time…except for this week, due to the terrible match up we have been kinda taking a week break lol. Shoot me a whisper in game on Friday, we’ll be on for the reset

i voted for kiel because evon was guilty by association with rng…after constantly hearing of all the players that wasted real money on rng for nothing, I don’t support it at all. I feel like if you pay real money your chances should go way up from “rare drop”

Can we please have a decent looking dagger skin for once?
Once again people like me who don’t main a profession capable of using greatswords receive the short end of the stick with the champion weapon skins, as ele I am once again left with that sense of frustration and envy towards professions that can enjoy the new great looking GS, swords and hammers.
The only decent looking daggers in the whole game are : fractal and fusion..both RNG and account bound so can’t even buy them, this is really unfair…..

haha i actually thought the same exact thing, the GS look kitten but the daggers look huge and awkward. I pretty much gave up on new daggers and bought two of these for my thief…

I am glad it is that high, I was afraid of what would happen in WvW if everyone was able to portal everyone else everywhere. What a nightmare.

my exact thoughts..

the thing with shadow refuge is you can still take aoe damage and for me the healing has always been sub par, so i use it as an escape tool more than a healing tool. Players know what it is so they will spam aoe on it when you pop it. I’ve also come across players that have a pull and can pull you out of it the second you cast it. The way I use it is I always always always use it away from the enemies. So i’ll use shadowstep + a couple heart seekers to put distance down THEN pop it. That gives you enough safety to fully benefit from it. Also you got to watch out for the stealth de-buff…do any damage to a player after you use it and all that stealth is wasted. If you are caught in an emergency and have to pop it i always stand right on the border of the SR circle. Most melee players will just stand in the middle swinging wildly so if you are on the edge your chances of getting hit are less.

I’m usually always partied with my friend that is a condi necro, 100% duration. My build wasn’t designed with a team in mind but my d/d bs burst paired with my buddies devastating condi’s work really well. SR for stealthing both of us to get out of trouble.

Matchups like this are fun for no one. At least you have people to kill – everywhere – around the clock.

I know a good majority of DB misses it’s match-ups with TC, SoR, BG, JQ and FA because there’s always something to do regardless of the score at the end of the week.

yup but at the same time for us, once we try to kill someone bam a zerg comes along and does an ole 25v1 curb stomp…or the people that enjoy protecting towers and such have all their progress wiped in a matter of min. I give up for now. Still no solo roamers from SoS or CD. In the following screenshot once I got the guardian just about downed, the necro showed up. There’s another guy coming down the stairs. I understand the desire to cover the north camp, so I’m not complaining about this fight specifically. Just wish CD and SoS would back up their solo roaming claims with…..wait for it…..solo roamers!

In my situation I love dailies. I work 8-5 all week so when I get home I want to game a little, dailies give me just the right amount of stuff to do to earn something and still have fun. I can’t be on long on the weekdays anyways and its perfect for me. No one is forcing anyone to do a daily, it is completely optional. I have missed plenty of dailies and it doesn’t bother me. If you are at a point where the dailies feel like a job or you feel forced to do the dailies then you sir are addicted and need professional help.

2am to 8am on a weekday, i’ll be sleeping/going to work…i win

On CD there are people everywhere, even in Orr (it’s not a lot but still some), hell even the other day the karka queen event got triggered (i was shocked). Me personally, just finished map completion on my ranger a couple weeks ago, and have a level 80 thief (through crafting) so i’m picking up a map here and there. I’m mostly in wvw and farming the world bosses for money and legendary resources.

I would expect to see a rise in players in orr with the new champion drops being added.

I’ve played a Ranger, Guardian, Elementalist, and Thief. Ranger was way too much of a pain having to micromanage the pet, otherwise a lot of fun. Guardian was a complete bore. Elementalist was pretty fun, a tad slow for me (I may have been playing it wrong though). Thief was my favorite, the mobility had me hooked day one.

This is my exact WvW build, I use it roaming either solo or with a friend. Yes it’s a tad squishy so soloing a camp isn’t possible. If you get the drop on someone, steal + cnd + backstab and they are almost down if not already down. It has plenty of escape tools. Elite can be swapped for dagger storm for group play, or basilisk venom for chasing down runners. Stealth for condi removal.

Do you guys have any solo roamers? And by “solo” I mean solo. As in one. One person. Not two, or three, or five. One. People that will fight 1v1.

I’ve been roaming for a while now and all I’m running into are groups. And it ends badly with me being a necro with no way of escaping…
I tried inviting/joining those groups to ask them this same question but they all reject my invite, probably thinking I’m some kitten.

So, do I continue roaming in hopes of finding some good 1v1 fights or do I give up on WvW for this week?

tried the same last night and today…i’ll find a 1v1 or 1v2 and start the fight then bam a zerg runs up and ends it -_- i’d suggest just taking a week off and coming back next friday..that’s what i’m going to do, this match up is complete garbage. Ok, let me explain, UrMom. I was reading and saw all these kitten/kittens words. Then it dawned on me why a word I used turned into a kitten when I was talking about using items in the forge to make the leaf of kudzu. The word that turned into a kitten could also be referred to as a part of the male anatomy. Does this make any sense to you? Staff is the word I used and it appeared as kitten in a previous post.

So i got bored tonight, and decided to run around a bit in the BL’s dressed as a robot. I found a random boxing match with an EB Charr from “All the Cute Charrs and Me”, I had some necro from vT (who was trashing like 3 guys at a time, nerf) transform into his Asura Racial Golem and punch the crap out of me, and, best of all, half of Elysium Knights turn in to quaggans and mourn my death after I tried to run through their zerg.

I play for a few reasons…1. it’s a ton of fun, 2. there is a ton to do, 3. my new found love of WvW, 4. I set a goal for myself to make a legendary, 5. there are no other games out right now that i’m interested in, and 5. the living story new content keeps things freshy fresh.

This bug sucks…i had it happen a few times back to back, then i was in a sticky situation and stealthed but turned out i wasn’t stealthed…. got killed cause i thought it was the bug, but in reality they could see me the whole time lol

This has been driving me crazy on all my dungeon runs I do…salvage all the blues at the end then kick myself cause i have to stand there and wait for all the loot to disappear so i can exit. Thanks god this is getting fixed.

I assume you mean the SE story mode boss? The explorable mode bosses certainly doesn’t stand out in any way. In part I agree because there is a nice mechanic. On the other hand I am not a fan of fights that completely negates a character’s skills and all or most of their traits.

Yeah I was talking about the story mode, my bad should have mentioned that. You make a good point with the fights that negate a character’s skills. Maybe if it was a mix, like large health pool where you get to burn down the boss, use your skills, etc. but then have some extra mechanics that make it more dynamic. Another fight that comes to mind is in AC explorable, the one where you have to lift and pull the glowy things ghostbusters style to arm the traps, then disable the bosses shield then burn him down. As much as I first hated that fight looking back on it it was pretty awesome. That suspense in trying to arm the traps while the boss is attacking and friendlies being downed and stuff was pretty epic.

Pretty much any server in the top ten wvw rankings will be good. I’ve guested to almost all of them for pve stuff and there are people doing stuff on all of them. I’m personally on Crystal Desert, and we may not be the best in wvw but I can always get on without a queue (except for reset nights), there are always zerg fights if your into big stuff, and there are always roamers if youre into the small 1v1’s or 2v2’s etc. Also in pve there is usually always people roaming around maps doing events and such. On occasion you will get bumped to the overflow when a world boss comes up but that’s uncommon.

whenever i got these it was always a rare item (sweet a quick 20-30 silver) but every since the new two living stories its either kite fortune or vote ticket things…sweet…that will make me…oh yeah that’s right 0 money.
