For me I just run around working on the dailys and hit all the world bosses, sell EVERYTHING you get (blues and greens to NPC, and all the rares on the tp), gather and mine every node you see doing these, after a couple days sell all the crafting materials. Easy money that builds up just by doing simple stuff. If I have time i’ll log into my alts and hit the world bosses again, you won’t get the bonus chest but the big chest sometimes drops rares so you could make some extra money.

I guess when you’re [PRO] and its 2 am this is what you do lol

This makes me really nervous as to what new bugs will pop up from the new update….

At this point in the game, most players are level 80 already, so naturally these areas will be more empty than others. I’m on Crystal Desert and I can say that I do my daily and stuff like that in the starter zones and there are always tons of folks running around. I even see my fair share of level appropriate players. That being said, I just re rolled a new toon and went the full crafting leveling (using this alt for wvw) I’m sure a lot of people do that to get their characters ready for wvw or such.

its a game..with a make believe election..who cares who wins? why spend money on votes? just play the game and it’s new activities and have fun, then vote and do the achievements, rinse repeat for the other candidate.

Fun week! I’d say there was good sportsman ship, but those few “wall/gate hackers” from Ebay ruined it. After having Ebay threaten and kitten talk us about being able to beat us, it was nice seeing their whole BL turn green every morning. Good job on 2nd place BP and good luck in the next matchup!

I’m a heavy PvX player and do WvW/PvP quite often. Overall I’m quite happy with the state of WvW and PvP; PvE is just behind the curve regarding engaging content for anyone that takes a “hardcore” interest in it.

yeah i agree with that…one thing i’ve noticed is that PvE really spoils the players in terms of skill. Going from PvE to WvW/PvP is a real wake up call. I feel like there needs to be a bigger difference between mobs in starter areas vs mobs in 40ish areas vs mobs in 80ish areas for example. Players just auto attack rooted in place in PvE most the time.

you want a challenge? just go in WvW and pretend that all the players are NPC’s lol now that’s a dang challenge

Hey folks, just wanted to post up a little advert for our guild/community as we are actively seeking 18+ gamers to join. Here’s a brief bio about us…

We are a relatively small close knit guild/community (about 10 members currently). We started out as a Minecraft community, with two private white listed servers. However in the last year or so we have significantly branched out into other games. Everything from GW2 to Planetside 2 to Indie titles to Minecraft. If it’s a game, we’ll probably play it. We’re not too competitive we just like to have a good time. We currently offer a community website with a forums section, a mumble voice server where we all hang out on a nightly basis and joke around etc., and two private white listed minecraft servers. A few of our members also live stream our shenanigans from time to time as well and for that we use our Team Raven Twitch channel. We are all based mainly in the eastern and central time zones with one member in the UK.

As far as GW2 goes, we are on Crystal Desert and usually are partied up on a nightly basis during the week and then extended time on the weekends (most of us got jobs lol). We wouldn’t require you to be on our server per-say but we do goof around in WvW a bit so there would be that if you did join.

I had a logitech g400 but the logitech software was bogging down my system. also had a razer deathadder but the synapse 2.0 software is god awful. I recently switched to the roccat kone xtd and man this thing rocks. A tone of customization, tones of buttons (which can be mapped to literally anything), software runs solid, no regrets. At least check em out.

I think what they’ve done with the reward chests is perfect. I like the dailies, it gives me something to do each day (especially during the work week when i don’t have a ton of time to play), and the achievement point chests are great, now that the retroactive chests have stopped for me it really gives me something to work towards.

Simple logic, not everyone buys blc keys but EVERYONE uses waypoints. So you went out and bought a bunch of discounted keys, its an RNG roll to see if you get anything worth a dang out of them (MAYBE some unidentified dyes to make some quick cash). It’s a gamble, however lowered waypoint costs is a guarantee in savings. Lower costs = more gold in your pocket, more money for mats, weapons, rng boxes, food, tonics, gems, whatever you like. More gold in your pocket to get more gems = more real world money that you didn’t have to spend on gems. Sure the fractals are cool, but seriously both would be ok. One would be a trip down memory lane and the other would be a new chapter to the story. Look at the big picture though, Kiel WILL save you money.

Tried disabling firewall, disabling antivirus, etc. with no luck. Other games play just fine…why the hell does GW2 have such a high ping.

yeah i have no idea, been working on it for about two weeks now, gunna try some new router settings or something. Whats weird is it was working fine a couple months ago, no issues with the game, then all of a sudden i’m getting this high ping, rubber banding, and disconnects….no settings were changed

This is a curious problem because I never had a problem on it with my personal computer but at the moment Im using an older less powerful computer and Im having this problem alot. Perhaps this problem is related to performance of a machine.

I might try turning my video options right down and see if it makes a difference.

Just built my computer last winter, 2600k i7 oc’d 4.2, 16gig ram, hd 7950 oc’d performance isn’t an issue

They don’t take into consideration of the players who have constant high latency. Australians like us have rubber banding on every skill we use. They’ve also added limited skill-based achievements again in the sanctum sprint. I’m perfectly fine with the fractal skill-based achievements because you can attempt them WHENEVER you want.

yep, there literally are some areas (the jumps across towers) that i can’t even get past. I’ll jump, fall, land on platform, take damage, fall, land on platform again, then magically teleport back to last check point. I’ll have to literally back track in hopes of getting the time travel ability so i can skip that part. It honestly is really a shame because this game could be really really fun if all the skills fired when pressed and actually worked….well if the entire game worked. Getting the achievement is a pain in the rear end.

I’ll also comment on the community, great stuff letting people get the chance to get the title. I would do the same…except i’m always in the back due to the severe lag and rubberbanding in this zone…

just bought some snow man tonics…be on the look out for that snow man sitting up on the bluff…he might be a spy….

will, i did a little wvw test last night and it worked pretty good, rolled with a small/medium group and pretty much every fight was even. With my previous build I found I couldn’t get anywhere close as i’d just melt, but last night the added toughness and vitality you could really tell the difference. I sorta solo’d a couple folks in those fights (fight was going on around us but it was mainly between me and the one enemy) and won those, popped my 9 stacks of might, imobilized, chilled, etc. and then spammed my skills lol.

I just can’t hammer out a good weapon combo. I like the great sword for the number 3 getaway, and i like the shortbow for it’s bleeds and cripples in slowing down the enemy, but the long bows vulnerability stack and rapid fire is so solid. But at the same time I really like using dual axes, pop a #3 chill followed with a #4 pull and then the #5 melts people too lol. Too many good options. When i’m running around i’m constantly switching out weapons based on the situation.

very interesting, seems a tad glassy but i’ll have to play around with it. I recently theory crafted a build and have been testing it out. The weapons aren’t set as i’m still playing around with different combos but I can have a perma tripple stack of might or if i pop all signets at once i get a 9 stack of burst might. In my short bow i’m using a sigil that gives might on crit so i can stack up to 15-20 stacks of might with the 9 signet might burst. If i need more crit i’ll drop the RaO and that will keep the might going and give some to my pet.

Yeah there was a quick addition in one of the patches, the chest now gives you a bag o coins (i’ve gotten anywhere from 12 to 9 silver, mostly 9 silver), a thing of karma (700 i think?), then blues and greens (a friend did get a rare, and i got an exotic out of it)

On my ranger i use Celestial as the main and Flare as the trim, looks really clean

the issue with the pos (lol pos…) is that it hits once before the pull, most people i’ve tried it against will dodge right after the hit, either from knowing what it is or just a gut reaction. That dodge after the first hit is what breaks the pull. I’ve used it for an hour or so in wvw and tried to use it on many people and i’d say it lands prolly about 30% of the time (aside from it clipping into the ground or something else)

Here are my findings, as to how they work. They are similar to the dragon holos, they land and have an icon on the map, once they are opened by a player it drops two loot bags. These bags have a timer on them, if you get to them before that timer then all good. One example is i was on my way to a basket cause i saw it on the map, almost there i saw the icon was gone so i knew another player had opened it. Came over a hill and saw the loot bags off in the distance, got within 10 feet of them and the timer ran out and the bags disappeared. So i went afk for a bit and waited for the basket to reset. So if you see a basket then it disappears from the map, high tail it over there or you’ll miss it and have to wait for the cool down. Not sure how long the cool down is, prolly 5 to 10 min at most.

lol the kitten y camera and “conveniently” placed trees, ledges, buildings, etc are all part of the puzzle. That’s what makes them challenging

I feel like the devs put the badges in there for some of those pve players that whined about having to do wvw for legendaries

yeah i was complaining about the waypoints day one, me and a buddy wasted so much money porting everywhere after death going for the sky crystals…then i found out about the sprint race giving you 10ish silver no matter what place you finish…yeah ok time to farm some races lol

I feel ya op, I couldn’t win legitly simply due to the fact that the skills are so laggy and don’t work half the time. One race i did win simply because i got the light travel like 4 times and the 4 folks in front of me were waiting letting someone else win (there are good people in the world). Keep playing maybe you’ll run into a group like i did.
