i think team arena tournament 8 teams 3 rounds will fix current blowout situation. Now there is only one round and best teams can always get weak teams in theory. In tournament version, best team will always face other best team out of 8. At least in theory.

Actually this is very similar to the way the game launched. It didn’t work too well because the first couple rounds were usually blowouts. There were also “paid” tournaments, which were supposed to have only high-tier teams in them, but it was too difficult to get 8 good teams in the same queue. So they usually just queued in the free tournaments and crushed everyone.

Spectating team arena would be very easy to exploit. Just have a sixth person in voip spectating the match; suddenly you know everything the other team is doing.

1. Dont know what u mean by blowouts, but i think lunch format was very good. In 8 team tournament, best team wins, weak teams are eliminated fast.
2. I do not recommend goin for “paid” tournaments. i recommend goin for team arena tournament.
3. Greater reward in comparison to solo arena will make best teams compete in team arena.
4.well made spectate mode for team arena can work great. i can see it work without any exploits. for ex lock spactating player from speaking or sth

game is much better now. Pvp changed a little bit, but pve, man, pve, wvw cross server play is sick.

i think current Team arena is not enough rewarding to players who take a lot of effort to communicate and win. 50 more rank points for win compered to solo arena is nothing.

I havean idea to improve pvp experience.

Imagine Team Arena is a tournament of 8 teams. For first place you need to win three rounds one after another. If you win two games, u get second place. Reward must be good enough to lure best players for best experience.
First place chest reward is minimum 3X 150rank/glory points + 3X 50 (or more) – same as current team arena reward. However u get only one chest so it is like 5 items in it. To be more rewarding it should give chance for upper-rank item. Just small chance, like 5-10%. It would be great. It would give good feeling every time u open chest.

Another idea is to let ppl spactate Team Arena. This would be crazy!

most important points:
- /resign option
- team arena tournament old format(8teams, 3 wins for 1st place) and good reward for team arena but no gems
- arena should have only simple maps: no skyhammer. What’s more new players should not play on complex maps such as skyhammer.
- show kill/death ratio in stat tab next to every player, next to points
- better matchmaking so 5lvl dont play vs 50lvl.
-most new players to pvp dont get good enough tutorial and they get discouraged fast.
There should be very distinctive sign that roll, stunbreak and combos are super important, that skill should be used in special situation, not spamming 12345. I think players are thrown too fast into too deep waters.

You want to do PvP even more easier than it is now? You are able to play a class in 1 day effectively. There are 3 places + objects. It’s not like you try to solve some equations… It’s simple math, where you have to count on 5 max. I’m a bit confused of why PvP is too complicated for you.
However on the rest I can agree more or less.

spvp is very complex. much more complex than Lol or dota. i dont want to go into details, but i want to show example: lol- 4 skills gw2- 10skills + traits. lol 2d gw2- levolution maps
While it is impossible to change system, Arena can change maps to simple versions.

How to improve PvP?
1. make pvp easier- it seems only way to do it is to crate simple maps. New players should be allowed to play only on simple maps: forest, khylo, legacy of fire. now, new players are forced to play on complex maps just from the begining. that’s bad.

2. Show kill/death ratio of all players in stats, instead of points or next to them, points are not so much interesting

3. pre-made arena is not enough rewarding, solo arena might be too rewarding.

4. now we have only 1 mode: cap points. I feel there is room for at least 1 more mode.

5. MOST IMPORTANT: /resign command. Now, rewards are very weak so there must be /resign command. It is better for the game if player is not wasting time dancing in base for 8 min when 4v5 occurs

designed well it can work. resign is very much needed. chest for vicotry is nowhere compered to zaishan key. resign command can be used after 7 min or after 350 points for team

Add resign command to 4v5, plz. pvp also need more mods.

stealth not capping good in pvp. in wvw stealth can hold point form capping. i have so much fun keeping enemy zerg in one camp for like 5 min or even more hiding in stealth and goin up tower

i get cooldown on basilisk veonom underwater when new map starts. it might be relic after previus game. fix asap

This happened to me during a regular game of Khylo. I can hear the game/battle noises in the background but the load screen won’t go away. Had to force quit the game and relog. First time it ever did that was after 10/7 patch.

this is game bug not individual issue, happening to me and many ppl in khylo and capricom almost 100% so no rank points = no spvp till update

it might work in combat
