What do you mean da crit for “much” less, not as much no but I don’t think it’s that much to notice. I thought having over 50% was more then enough and both of them builds are over 62% with out fury.
mathematicly speaking cs provide 100% fury uptime and much more dmg, escpecially when hp up 90% (7%cd dmg trait). For staff it is essential to crit your voult, otherwise u would be better to autoatack.
Dmg difference when enemy hp is above 50% is huge mathematicly speaking, but its hard to notice beocuse dp deadly arts thief can lower that hp fast with steal and pulmonary impact. Below 50% dmg is only sligtly lower.
So cs give much more dmg (cs: 9.9k voult da:7k voult and only 505 fury uptime) but da gives more utility like small heal, good poison uptime, and some immobilization.
Unplayable lag spikes are atacking eu now. Is it only me or only me and guildies exeprience this in pvp?

Final words. Staff thief role is similar to dp but staff has more gameplay options becouse u can win many duels for ex vs necro and engie its staff favorable. Even rev is 50/50 depending if he kitten s u with staff 5. still u can not nuke ppl as much as dp becouse there is bug which prevents to shteal at te end of the voult. Still u can staff 2 with steal and with perfect timing u ll hit as hard as voult on the enemy.

I hate it that pro players bully noobs by playing on new acc their way to legend. It became a trend that masters make 10Xlegend on different accounts. they are slowing down or even stop other players in ruby or diamond.
What is the couse? probably 20 min ques in legend.
What is the solution? Maybe wider and faster range groth in matchmaking for legends

dp counters staff only becouse of more stealth oportunites and pulmonary trait. I would rate it 60/40. However keep i mid that smart staff thief will avoid this duel so there will not be many oportunities
rotation means u look for right oponnent to duel and kill him. F.ex if u staff thief u look to duel necro on point beocuse staff thief always wins vs necro. another example: u see one opnennt incoming but u know u ll lose duel so u run away to another point to favorable duel. (decap role not considered)
You know that something is wrong when peasant helseth tounts thief to duel with only 1 finger available. Looks like thief could use another buff to trait value, however another buff by 50% to autoatacks is also welcome.

Currently, we’re thinking that the best way to go is to update Grandmaster League with new players, promotions, and demotions each day at a specified time—all based strictly on skill. We see two main advantages to this approach. First, we can have an accurate, skill-based representation of the best 200 players on the server on any given day. Second, it also makes things clearer on the esports side, especially if tournaments pull from this list. As an added bonus, we also like that this could promote more intense competition during this period of the day (though mostly for just this specific group of top players).
Showing MMR
This is something we’ve received the most feedback on and we’ve been exploring the concept heavily internally. Currently, we’re leaning towards clearly displaying your MMR in the UI. The more we dug into the topic of making the ranks, divisions, and leagues as accurate as possible, the more we realized that there were other potential problems that we could have introduced. Since we have the MMR available already, we think it might be best to just show it as the most accurate measurement of a player’s skill.
League & Tier
In developing the new League & Tier system, the main concern was that achieving a high-degree of accuracy required that we enable mid-season demotions. Although we know that there are many players out there who want to see demotions enabled, we believe this feedback mostly stems from the fact that there currently isn’t a reliable way to tell your skill right now. The downside of enabling demotions is that we could potentially take away from a players’ biggest accomplishment that season; this downside is magnified if it’s their first time getting to a specific league, which may make the person not want to play the game anymore due to the risk of losing this reward.
Because we will be showing MMR, we wonder if it’s best to have the ranking system display the highest League & Tier achieved during the current season. There’s really no need to show the same number two different ways, and we can show two cool numbers instead. This way, if I were to tell my friends that I’m in Master Tier 1, but my MMR is a solid Master Tier 2 (naming is not final), it clearly shows 1) the highest I’ve achieved this season and 2) where my skill is at the moment.
For the number of tiers, we’ve spent time analyzing and evaluating how the Heroes of the Storm system works because their 50 ranks would be very similar to our originally announced 10 tiers per league (we would have 60 tiers if we strip out the leagues). For StarCraft II, due to the amount of movement that would occur with having this many tiers, this system doesn’t look to be the way to go. So we debated on going with 5 tiers or 3 tiers, and we’re currently leaning towards 3 for a couple reasons.
First, talking about leagues in StarCraft II has naturally tended towards using 3 tiers. When players talk about where they are at within a league, perhaps the most common way to refer to the tiers currently is to say that he or she is in “High Diamond,” “Mid Diamond,” or “Low Diamond.” So colloquially, this fits well with how players already discuss the ladder. The second reason is that we can always increase the number of tiers available in the future if 3 is not enough. Going from 3 to 5 or 3 to 10 would be easier than doing the reverse, which means we don’t need to remove functionality from the system.
This is where we’re at currently, and as you can see we’ve narrowed in on the most critical components of Ladder Revamp. If you have thoughts on these areas, we’d ask that we get discussions going so that we can lock down the design. We’re currently aiming to finalize the design of this feature within the next couple weeks, and are potentially aiming for a mid- to late-summer release in order to have enough time to fully work through the implementation.
Separate MMR Per Race
We hear your feedback regarding this feature. We had originally set the priority for this to come after ladder revamp, but we’re currently exploring ways to potentially get started on this feature even sooner. Although we haven’t set an exact timeline, we just wanted to let you know that we agree that this feature is important to the game and we’re discussing ways to release it more quickly. u are totally right, thief is very weak class. U cant win even u are better playerwith better reflex. All beocus4e of mathematics. Thief vcan not win beocuse thief has very poor value in traits. u cant beat if enemy has 10 and u have only 5.

dp is most popular but i think staff is stornger becouse u can duel everything and win every duel, while dp can only decap and +1.

Last patch was described for thief this way “autoatacks and initiative usage extremely dangerous”. i think they have to increase autoatack’s dmg by another 50%.
What do u think about first and probably last thief performance in pro legaue? Was the player weak, as a caster was saying or thief is weak class overall?
Seriously guys, just because you are bad thieves and stuck in emerald/sapphire/ruby doesn’t mean the class is bad and can’t carry.
Look at Sindrenerr or Vallun for example, they know how to carry.
vollun lost 10:1 vs rev on stream pure duel style.
staff 3 is autowin vs rev becouse it evades all rev skill dmg (sword 2 and 3). It is also Most important skill vs dp thief. Helps vs dh when u run out of dodges.
reaper has no chance vs staff thief but dp is another story. if u get lucky to avoid steal and burst u win

war is worst. Thief is second worst and very hard to play, Most players chose weak builds so they performance is weak. Mes is best class to carry with moa in capable hand. Look at supercutie (hans stream). he plays mes and has 75% WINRATIO just by using portals and farming far.
War, thief and nuke mesmer are weak becouse they are burst classes with low chance of burst success due to random dodges, ele peram team protection and dwarf protection scaling.
I would like to have an option of pure gold reward track. Currently its not clear which track is best gold gain.

Remove division lock beyond legendary so legendary1 can play with legendary2 or legendary3.
Legendary que can not be longer than 5 min. Match them with diamond 7 if u must.
It must be fixed becouse legends dont que on legend acc but play on smurf acc and climb. Look at java who is doin 4th acc to legend. He is destroying weaker players and slowing their progression and probably this is source of hate when ppl are complaining about matchmaking.

gw2 mmr is not chess elo. Legend is still farmable thx to winstreak.
It seems that protection (33%) + Rite of the great dwarf (50%) reduce dmg by 95%. Currently dmg reduction stack additivly instead of multiplicativly. It is being abused on raids and rarly in pvp.
Fix asap!
1. steal (or shawdowstep) can not be used at the end of staff 5 voult
2. dh’s f1 can not be evaded by dodge
3. dh sword trap deals dmg when teleporting out
4. Voult deals no dmg when casted from higer ground to land on lower ground

sometimes its impossible to tab or to click on screen right enemy so i would like u press one button to have the enemy targeted.
first of all
Super important for thief when somebody else is stomping, u thief dps body but enemy ranger search and rescue so thief wants to steal on ranger to daze him but its not possible to target that enemy in time without hotkey on ranger, especially when there is enemy necro with minions.
Secondly
there is a lot of tounts in game. it makes to target pet or rev while u want to target other enemy. Clicking on screen on the enemy is not good becouse if click thin air u lose all targets. Tabing to right enemy is often not possible to make in time. So gain, clicking hotkey like ctr + 2 would be lovely.
Solution
Add hotkey option in menus and automaticly hotkey each 5 enemies to right hotkeys at the beging of the match by defoult.
This option does not disturb or change comfort of players who want to play todays setting, while pros could use it to great advantage
ye, it seems glicko rating is working so it’s like chess rating. Legend is harder to farm but still doable thx do win streak, which is cool. If u dont increase your skill or play with full premade u ll stay in ruby.
i think last season there was not so many pleyrs who reached legend. This season there will be more thx to winstreak but there will be struggle becouse of the rating bug and glicko rating philosophy.
Currenly u can only play with people with same rank (with small exeptions). Legend players have 2h long ques becouse of that.
They start laddering on smurf new accounts destroying players in lower leagues effectivly slowing their progression. Destroyed players are upset and they are right to be becouse its no good to match grandmaster with an adept. Does it make sense?
Here is fast and simple solution: allow onyx players to play with diamond players.
Dev stated that losing game does not lower your mmr so this is oyur answer. There is also no information that it is fixed. So u are bound to improve, find full premade perfect composition or stay in sapphire.
