1 thing i loved about this game is i can do pretty much what ever i wanted and get what i want eventually but with legendary armor we can only get them in raids but what if i don’t like the raid mentality or guild mentality it’s why i quit eq2 and wow and now maybe gw2

So you take 1 step foreword with pre hunt and 1 back with legendary armor raid gate

That every one works as a team to take it down

Raids are gonna destroy this community if you think dungeons are bad with elites ….

I think it sucks that it’s only 10 ppl i think it sucks that its instanced at all should be like VW this to me in the end of the game and community that was built up now its all gonna be about your own team and never wanting to play in open world again they better not give special rewards from it skins sure rewards NO

still wont be buying it for 49$ i did not even pay that much for the core game !
39$ so yea kitten this expansion i can wait for a huge price drop but lets be real .. i will prob be playing a new game by then

The expansion doesn’t cost more than the base game at launch though. Comparing a new expansion to a 2.5 year old game, when all games go down in price, is a bit strange to me. I’m pretty sure it sold for $60 when new.

Edit: Anyway if you consider expansions from most games as a percentage of the price of the main game and take into account how much content they add, there’s virtually always a massive imbalance.

49$ when it came out them price drop to 34

50$ for what we seen is just not worth it that’s the price of a new game not a expansion
so i will wait for a huge price drop or by then forget the game even exists

Kinda hard since we all will see farming and grinding differently

Grinding to me is doing something over and over for something you want like grinding for t6 mats to craft a legendary

Farming is doing something over and over just to get something of value to sell or a large amount of small priced items to sell at bulk

Dragonhunter didn’t come out of a hat. Its been compared to and overcome probably every dammed name thrown out here and it did it 6 months ago. Is it set in stone? Dragonhunter is a silly name and the concept from which it was derived is incompatible with the setting of GW2.

ppl doing hearts have the right away imo in fact any one can go up there and kill every thing and if any one complains just leave them a few mobs on the side so it wont be said you where trolling since you did leave some for him/her to finish quest/farmingP

Might be true since you don’t need to group or talk to any one really vs other mmorpg
No world chat helps reduce the vile as well but also can make it feel like your playing a sp game in a empty area

3 rings bought with karma all rare + 1 looted or bough rare = rare or exotic but always will get that rare if not a exotic so no loss other than karma, looted 19 rares to day why sell at 25 silver turn them into exotics ! then sell for more

I don’t even see the point in rebuilding L.A now that we will get Guild Halls
That’s where the majority of players will be at now unless they make no TP in or normal bank in GH to force ppl into Citys or this games Citys will looks like ghost towns to new players and the WvW changes will make ppl come back to WvW for maybe a month 2 at MAX no change to achievements 1 more time and money waster at lest give WvW it’s own track rewards like spvp there is no excuse for that imo

I would like to point out things like WvW as well you can end up having half your zerg split in half do to run speeds new ppl pretty much have to wast a slot for it or hope some one gives them a speed buff -wasting there slot – for the ones who don’t got the skill or don’t want to wast a slot for it

But Anet wants them to spend $ on the gem store for there 15% speed boost
so QOL changes in this game are basically none existent all gated be hind cash shop like a Asian mmorpg

Ha i remember attending one of them in game weddings in eq 1 for a guildy lol GM came in and married them – gave them same last name- and gave us all wedding cake

Also i like to point out it was a Real life married couple might as well get the game characters married to

Using a traveler rune i would go from 12% dmg boost to 5%
I will stick with the 25% passive speed boost skill on my ranger even if it means i basically lose a skill slot + traveler runes are to expensive any way

So i am all for faster running speed they should make it passive for every one maybe something like 3% per 10 levels kinda like how we get + gold fined so so with achievements

Class don;t got a passive speed buff it’s not worth playing imo

39$ for normal edition 59$ for special edition

I rather they focus on world boss’s that every one can participate in none of this 5% BS
it’s a wast of time and money if you want raids plenty of games out there
TT is a good example of the Casual-ness of this game that fight is not hard at all simple scripts and yet 99% of pugs will fail

My sylvari with nightmare court clothing is already ready just got to wait for a good weapon have not seen 1 yet might have to wait for expansion and hope we get a staff legendary that is suited for a druid like the kudza is to ranger but atm nothing screams nature staff other than the racial karma ones things like dream weapons seem more evil than good with that black particle effects + being more expensive than a pre

When ever some one tells me how to play my class i just remember this

Prob with dungeons is speed runs remove the trash mobs or remove the speed runs
And although some classes can solo them or some of it any way ? i Rather they make the Story solo and add 20 tokens at the end or something

Rather they let us just color it the way we want

Been playing Everquest 1/2 since 1999 to 2012 or so then moved over to Gw2 Huge difference def miss tank and healers all we got now is DPS,crowed control and support all bad other than the first

A ranger to me – at lest in fantasy = Range fighter sure Some fantasy’s are not like that like LOTR but its fantasy can do what ever i want and every mmorpg i ever played ranger = ranged

And as for Great sword .. Have you every tried to use the 1 hand sword / dagger combo so so . auto attack makes you not be able to dodge when you want to and you are all over the place don’t no how many times i seen a ranger fling him self off a cliff do to that and kill him self lol

Well i don’t think it’s that big of a deal most stuff you will fight is gonna die fast no matter what now if there where boss’s that took 30min to kill that extra dmg would add up but that’s not the case with the -boss’s in gw2

I will laugh so much if this ends up killing the class as in every one goes to play a new class i my self will be deleting my 80 guard if the name don’t change since it wont make any since to my Sylvari at all

And yes Names matter allot to some ppl that have to make some since with the toon they are playing / Race and this name Destroys any one playing Sylvari Guard

nothing but speed runners can’t really in joy the dungeons any more or learn them correctly it’s just run to boss 1 run to boss 2 more boring that a world boss zerg

Well as a Ranger i pretty much have this mentality

not the same game but most of it fits lol

None i would buy 2-3 houses out in the country for 100k or less rent 2 of them
live in the other and save the rest of it and do research / go back to school and find out how to make a business

Jumping puzzles are everything wrong in the world.
I would literally spend money to have a tool that can cheese these things.

Well some of us are really picky about names i have bought and never played online games do to names not being available such as Lemnear . that’s my female name for all toons since 1990’s sp or online

and as for the free car i did not know HOT was free and for a car you can repaint it

To me the name sounds like something from monster hunter games

ETOM = Leveling and Karma
Spvp = Leveling and dungeon tokens

At lest that’s how it is to me if they want me to have more fun and play them modes like spvp then a 10v10 or 20v20 mode will be needed all these stupid tournaments and wanna be esport mentality is destroying the fun for me and 5v5 is way to small might as well call it dvd dungeon group vs dungeon group

If you say no then why do you want a portal key so much
that’s what closed beta is work for free to find the bugs and glitches and any other errors
for the developers to help them out it’s not a play HOT early for fun ! like every one seem to think it is . i hope they get kicked out of beta for not /bugging stuff

And on that note i will prob DELETE the portal if i got it since i don’t like working for free
and can wait for the expansion
