probably tuns i am forgetting atm all around HUGE FAIL unless you are looking for hardcore players who only log into raid days and want to get rid of all the casuals

I dislike the new direction and they def need a way to get legendary armor out side raids and the exp grind is worse than any other mmorpg i ever played. It’s just not fun complete a event and you might see your exp bar move a cm maybe.. Game will become just like all the others now log into guild hall on raid day /time then log out when done .. Good luck getting them ppl to buy gems !

raids in gw2 is just not a good ideal it’s not what the majority dose or we would all be still playing EQ2 or WoW best thing they could of done was had a easy mode like WoW has
now all they get is raid guilds logging in once a week for raid day then off line the 6 other days – good luck getting them to buy gems

+ what’s stopping some one in all blue making a profile in all legendary’s /shrug

good dps / pet to tank and a druid to switch to for heals galore dieing out side hot would be a challenge i think

If you think grinding 10hrs in 1 zone is not fun then you might want to look for a refund since H.O.T is a Grind

They won the war yes but at some big costs don’t think there gonna celebrate any time soon

+ what disappointed me is that it all took place in hot maps why no old city’s in flames with all the Sylvari turning i thought we would at lest have a siege on the grove or something allot of missed opportunitys heck even the trailers seemed like we was gonna have some kinda protect the grove fight vs the rest of the army /shrug

now that would of been a good Sylvari only optionP

I would love a Rez -mass- option on one of the skills in
Celestial i never use the last skill so … how about changing it to a mass rez 300 meters

Don;t see why not it should be part of H.O.T any thing less is just kinda Lame and a money grab to new ppl who might enjoy the story

I agree i love healing i played only a monk in gw1 and love healing on my druid just as much it’s a shame that mastery exp is such a grind since i was having fun healing in DS meta the boss fight that you just run around in a circle why a boss group fights the boss that fight a healer helps allot and since you don’t get exp there any more it really fun to heal other parts tho not so much and i will let ppl just die over me not getting exp on trash

be for hot i would stop what ever i was doing to run up to place my healing spring and to stop to res now not so much exp is way to valuable now

Well atm they seem to be a huge grind to get all the stuff for them
once more guilds have them all unlocked things they do in city’s atm will be done in a GH making the game seem dead to any one new
and that brings me to Raids this will change the rewards allot and will be once a week
clearly ppl will get in the habit of ONLY logging in on raid days so now we got
dead city’s and ppl only logging in for raids – in the GH to Raid and back

maybe i am just all gloom and doom lately but i seen it happen to EQ2 and is why i quit – along with raid mentality

There much more of a convenience no more going back to buy gathering supply’s no more running out in the middle of a run or wast bag space stocking them up in the field . Same with the salvage no more having to go buy tuns of them or combine them in forge so so

Yea kinda odd how there was no story quest for it at all i was expecting something of the lines of spirit / nature quest for ranger to become a druid. They could of done so much more instead they went with no content huge grind

Well i agree this WAS the best mmorpg in the last 3 years but sadly hot changed all that with it’s grind now this is a good game if you like Korean grind games but if you want a fun pick up and play when ever you want game This is not it any more
this is stay online all day and grind and maybe maybe get 1 mastery level … maybe
or go find a grind spot ….

People are so entitled these days about video games.

Consider this: when you first played the original “Super Mario Bros” 20 years ago or whatever the time it was, how many times did you die before you beat the first level? How many times did you die before beating the game? Or did you actually beat “Super Mario Bros” in 2 weeks? How many weeks did it take before you can finally beat it?

Games where so hard back then do to if they where not they would be beat in minutes go look up some Mario speed runs they had to be hard and cheap to prolong the game .

The Mastery grind is worse than EQ1 Hell levels, and you can De-level in that game !
Tho never seen WoW as a grind, i quit that game mostly do to the daily gating.

it’s not made to be easy or fast or cheap it’s made for 1 simple reason and that’s a 100%
way to get a pre nothing more nothing less, Don’t like it then you have the same options every one else had be for hot

Get lucky on a drop from loot or MF or buy from TP

I can only imagen what you are all gonna say when you find out all the grind you need for a Legendary after this pre .. clovers, high mats by the 250, and 400 crafting and allot more …

I stopped caring about so called professional game reviewers back in the mid 90’s
For all we know this guy never even played gw2 core game and is not even a fan of mmorpgs or is a huge fanboy to them all .. we just don’t no .. i rather see facts like all the gating and watch you tube videos do decide for my self ..

You forgot the best part -for a compnay- All the extra char slots ppl might buy

then what you do is show the level and weapons of alts ppl will want high level/mastery and pretty weapon to show off

Well don’t got h.o.t yet – but what i been doing is saving up the new items from the wvw rank up chests got over 60 so far you can trade 5 + some wvw badges to complete one of the Hero challenges in H.O.T so gonna save allot up be for i buy and just skip them all in the new zones

I can guarantee you that no one who has the information on HoT sales will release that information, especially on the forums. GW2 is ran by a publicly owned company and things like sales have a huge impact to shareholders and investors.

If Legend of Zelda came out tomorrow, the usual forum dwellers would go nuts about how they need to “grind” to get exp, new swords/shields, new potions etc…

If pokemon red&blue came out tomorrow, they would cry about not being given charizard/venusar and blastoise straight away, instead they are stuch with their inferior previous evolutions and they need to “grind” 30something levels to get there…

If super-mario came out tomorrow they would cry about why the princess is ALWAYS in another castle and they need to “grind” 50 different levels to finally meet her for like 5 seconds ’till the credits…

Well seeing as it’s overwhelmingly considered an exceptionally technically sound launch, that seems to have been a good decision.

Kinda hard not to get a Sound launch when no one is playing the game and flooding the servers like other games…

And yes EA is the perfect label for this dlc half the stuff is not even there yet

Is it just me, or is the map quite empty. Im trying to grind (which im already not a fan of), but i only come across group events. But they are impossible or take forever if your alone. I dont get it, i usually run alone and cant progress descently. Just soooo frustating. I really liked gw2, but now it feels like a boring game.

Actually the old game was boring cuz u could literarly facetank mobs pressing 1. Here u have to use ur abilities to overcome an encounter. As a zerker i was able to solo group events, sure the end boss was tough but not all is meant to be soloed in this game. Furthermore, the new zones look amazing, that in itself is fun, not boring

try reading there is NO one to group with to do the group stuff … 2 days and expansion is dead that is really bad man

Would love to know the answer to this atm all i can assume is that HOT was so bad every one left the game . there not even doing the H event ! not really encouraging me to buy it. if it’s empty as well and is not SOLO friendly

Basically they seem to have killed the game i am not seeing any one doing the H events for the last 2 days i seen maybe 1 small group in the labyrinth only 2 times in over 15hrs of gaming sure you might say well there all doing HOT .. nope to many post on it being empty as well

They seem to want to remove the casuals – the bigger part of the player base -
no ideal why ..

But hey if you can fix this stuff by the end of the month i would probably buy it

Me i have no plans to buy it any time soon i want to see how the raids/guild halls play out

if all it is, Is ppl raiding and hanging out in there guild halls making all the normal places empty then i will know it’s time to move on and fine a new game

1 thing i loved about this game is i can do pretty much what ever i wanted and get what i want eventually but with legendary armor we can only get them in raids but what if i don’t like the raid mentality or guild mentality it’s why i quit eq2 and wow and now maybe gw2

It’s not really one step back. There are already tons of weapon and armor skins that are locked behind certain content. Why are these precursors any different? If you want Arah dungeon skin you have to do Arah. If you want any dungeon skin you have to do that dungeon. You want fractal skins? Guess what you have to do. I’ll give you a hint, you have to run fractals. The idea of certain skins being locked behind certain content is not new to the game.

To complain about it now makes no sense because it’s like you’re ignoring every other case of content locked skins to complain about this particular case of content locked skins.

As it is i wont be getting HOT but if i do i will still play the way i want to with the skills i want and weapon i want i should not be forced into playing any thing i don’t want to

Well i won’t be buying HOT any time soon that’s for sure there are plenty of things i still can do so yea i will wait for legendary armor to be gotten outside raids or i will find a new game to give cash to next year tho i am gonna enjoy the forum rage when they do come out

Yea i am waiting for the reveal be for i decide if i want to continue my gw2 experience- raids drop my interest allot- my only fear with druid is that it will be ground targeting like the necro staff . really needs a cast on person option

I just checked out the Heart of Thorns page, and found the following fashion info!
Dunno if I interpreted it correctly, but this is what’s listed under various pages:

From the open world you can get two new armour sets for each weight class, so six armour sets in total. Also five weapon sets, I assume that means five new models of each possible weapon.

From guild halls, you can get an armour set for each weight class so three in total, as well as two complete weapon sets, depending on the hall you choose.

From raids there’s legendary armour, which seems to be one for each weight as well. Then there’s also precursor armour mentioned, so I think that’s another three sets in total.

Then there’s backpacks too, a legendary one from PvP and fractals each.

Correct me if I’m wrong!

You can’t get Fractal skins without playing fractals… some content needs its own exclusive rewards for incentive to play it… Otherwise raids would become like Triple Trouble, where no one does them except large guilds.

Legendary Armor wont have better stats that ascended armor.

Yea but thats just a skin not a legendary that can only be gotten in that game mode only that make it so you don’t have to carry around extra armor so so
i couldn’t care less about skins
