To be honest I would’ve quit GW2 a long time ago if it wasn’t for FoO, they are at least fun to fight in open field and to be honest I’m only really in it for the fights. Admidedly when we’re down on numbers and have low support we do wipe a lot to FoO + DC +PuGs etc, but that is more an indication of numbers over skill. FoO is a very skilled opponent and when we have equal forces I would say that the fights are relatively even (relatively). <3 FoO, keep trucking we just get better and try to be better every night.

BG has caught up. Getting those 300-400pt ticks while people, actually from NA, are at work; nothing that wasn’t expected.
Dude what are babbling about… lol. BG was also ticking 300+ during NA yesterday, too. Stop basing your thoughts on just one period of time. This is a 24 hour war and that sort of thing is bound to happen. Just means their Oceanic/Sea is better than yours.
I know people are going to call QQ, but SoR is to blame for the lack of good fights from BG this week. We only have 1 guild on in BG at this point and they are fighting a large JQ zerg in EBG. Our ppt is ranging from 85-105. While we’re duking it out with JQ and basically all the BL maps are completely silent and have plenty of points to capture, SoR decides to bring their zerg of about 80+ members to attack us at the same time.This is only one out of many instances.
I know I’d say “QQ” if someone else was saying this, but if you want a reason for the lack of effort this week, it’s because Choo & co. are griefing our players when there is already enough stress on our ppt. Not surprised you guys have such a bad reputation.

Yes. You did misunderstand. I was trying to put emphasis on how SoR could gain plenty of ppt from the silent BL maps, but decides to attack BG’s only working guild in EBG while they are already under high stress from JQ. My post wasn’t meant to be some kind of declaration of forum war and I’m hardly surprised by the number of quick and defensive SoR responses.

Play for points, you get told off for not staying and fighting. Stay and fight, you get told off/laughed at for not having good ppt. We all lose!
Some insane fights tonight, MERC pushed well against garrison, we had equal if not more numbers than MERC though, HIRE and Choo pushed together for a while.

merc and co are trying at the moment with a huge zerg and getting wiped repeatedly trying to take back garrison…its quite amusing actually
What’s amusing is how you forgot to mention the massive choo zerg camping the garrison doors and rushing out with culling on their side. You know MERC isn’t that bad- not saying anything negative about Choo.
Not to put a damer on your argument but you know the new culling system they implemented displays enemies first THAN your allies right? So the even numbers you see in your screenshot is only showing a fraction of your allies present :o.
I was under the impression it displays the 25 closest of each. Unless theres less than that of one of them. So like if there were 20 enemies and 30 allies youd see everyone, but if there was 50 of each youd see 25 of each. Don’t ask me why I think this though, I don’t want to have to go read through old interviews and things. Also, I know how many people were with FOO, an entire BL Q minus like 10. Cause I had to sit in a Q for like 5 minutes before I could join the map when I switched to my Guardian. If thats not close to what SOB had, I’m sorry, but I know you had at least 50.

Sea of Blackgates is abbreviated SOBs, I’m sure you can see how this funny. Especially since most of the people in those SS’s I posted are from SOS. Got a problem with that? Get over yourself. If you’re ashamed of the fact that SOS moved to BG to compete with JQ maybe you should move to another server. Tbh prior to BG coming to tier 1 the tier 1 thread had settled down. It was only during the SoS implosion and subsequent fall out that this thread was comparatively toxic. At that time once the SoS remainders had accepted their fate and others had moved on, it was much more settled.

Only thing about Teir I really don’t like is being hit by a 60+ person Oceanic/SEA JQ PVDoor zerg you can’t do anything to stop, kinda takes the fun out of it. Surely its not fun for you guys just rolling everything with no threat apart from a group that is half or less than your number.

As a veteran Blackgate player I must say my server is just not skilled enough to compete with JQ. We try as hard as we can, but JQ’s experience is just far too advanced for us.
We will practice and try harder next week! Good job this week JQ

I don’t really like to get involved with forums wars, but some of you JQ and SoR members are acting a bit too proud for people who decide to double-team Blackgate to rack up your scores.
You people really have some trust issues. They have officially said that they will not be creating further tiers of armor past this set. I’m sure they’re aware that they can be quoted on such matters. You aren’t wasting anything.

“I’d like to respond to concerns players have raised about ascended items. Please keep in mind that we’re releasing this as one portion of a massive November update that introduces and improves many aspects of challenge, progression, and rewards. With this and upcoming updates, we view ourselves as introducing large amounts of content with supporting systems and features, akin to an expansion pack, building on Guild Wars 2 through a series of live releases. So it’s important for us to be able to add an expansion pack’s worth of progression and rewards to support that content.
Our goal is not to create a gear treadmill. Our goal is to ensure we have a proper progression for players from exotic up to legendary without a massive jump in reward between the two. We will slowly add the remaining ascended gear items and legendary items in future updates to allow people time to acquire them as we add exciting new content that deserves exciting rewards. We will not be adding a new tier of gear every 3 months that we expect everyone to chase after and then get the next set and so on.
Ascended and infusion rewards will be available in both PvE and WvW over time, and be made available through all sorts of content around the world including existing content. PvP will remain unaffected to ensure our intended PvP balance going forward. We are also working on other reward and progression systems for the game that tie into current and new content and features. As you know we care very much about your support and opinion and are listening intently to what you say.
Finally we look forward to hearing your thoughts on the upcoming content, and we will ensure we share our thoughts with you on the experiences we share in the Lost Shores."

Yup, it won’t be every 3 months, it’ll be every 4. Or more likely they’ll just lie and do it before than with an excuse. If you lie once and delete all the grind casual players put in for exotics they thought would last, no harm in lying again!
You seem like someone who is always full of assumptions. Stop trying contradict everything.
Seriously, people, this is not that big of a deal at all. Stop being irritated about having to do something new.
Exotic gear is like the only “big thing” when it comes to gear. Sure there’s legendary, but those equipments really fit their titles. Where I’m going with this is that it is perfectly fine to add a new tier and even makes perfect sense. Especially since it’s not even hard to get exotic gear at all.
To all of you crying about how you think ascended gear is ruining the game- you are just angry because you have more stuff to do in-game now. You didn’t waste your time with exotics, they’ve been great for a while now… and they will stay great even longer.
They even said that ascended gear is going to be released slowly, I mean, all we’re starting with here is a back piece and a ring. Come on. I know that I wouldn’t want the game to just stay the same without any new content like this… it’s great.
Lastly, referring to this as some kind of epic grind is crazy. Just because you hear that there’s new gear, you assume that it’ll take ages to get and that this is going to be a never-ending sequence of new tiers of gear. You’re the ones making the big mistake. It’s your fault that you’re losing interest.
