Are you guys serious? Where did all this random DB hate come from? Both the other servers use arrow carts in every situation after the update too. Every server does. I don’t know why you would prefer a bitter and unnecessary forum environment… we are supposed to “kill” each other in-game, right? Stop being such a downer and accept your bronze and silver medals.
I, for one, was not crashing or lagging any more than usual. Anyway, good fights tonight with BT and HOPE. Good to see we’re fighting nearly every night!
I was defending the arrow cart buff at first, but after seeing them in wvw enough… I’d like to say that they are irritatingly over powered. They down people in seconds during tower/keep sieges.
I need to give some props to DB from last night on TCBL. PD only had a small number out last night so we were scouting and taking camps, etc. RET and HOPE had smallish (for them) groups on the map as well.
At one point of the night, TC was knocking on the front door of Briar. I get into the tower to report the gate and numbers I saw. I figured there to be 25-30 TC on the door, give or take a few. I’m standing on the wall and suddenly I see [CO] massing up on the shore NE of the tower, probably 10-12 of them. I’m thinking “this should be interesting”. Then I saw what looked like a group of [Agg] (maybe 15?) on the South shore and I started to smile, a nice flank move. What happened next blew me away. The door goes down and TV pours in, just as the [CO] group engages and the [Agg] group engages a HUGE DB zerg rolls across the bridge right in the middle of them and pours into the tower. That’s the first time I think I have ever seen a 3 pronged coordinated attack from a server other than FA and it was done masterfully.
Nicely done DB. (TC you need better scouts I think)
Btw there were three Zergs on that map. EA, CO, and Agg… What occurred in the south of that map was an absolute sandwich love fest.

Vash, this helps zergs MORE than small groups because zergs will have a higher siege budget and make larger uses of 30 seconds.
If a zerg is big enough, you’re not going to stop it. Wait- now you can build arrow carts that have an 80% damage buff to shoot down a zerg. These are indeed balanced updates. Having good points and bad points is to be expected with any update.
So what if people use supplies to repair? People have been whining for a while about how it isn’t awarding enough to repair towers/keeps. Now finally there is something for those people who spend time repairing rather than running with the zerg. Stop looking at every bad point and realize that there are good points as well.
About the arrow cart buff: This is something to finally help the smaller man teams stop a zerg. People whine about this forever, but when a nice fix is proposed, you just find more whining. I am glad for both of these updates.

Dragonbrand has an amazing SEA coverage and they just gained an NA guild from Jade Quarry.

Another new T1 strategy well implemented in T8 for a faster success.
Poaching a good size of the active command structure and guild of the opponent server.
The classy part is that you are paying for it at least.
After a few weeks of practicing the methods VK brought to Ferguson a few heads grew
large very quickly and then said the only challenge left was AGG. For the people who are
going to join you the slogan must be “If you can’t beat them , join them”. What an irony.
Obviously Ferguson didn’t enlarge the gates to fit all these big heads.

It was a fun 2 weeks with balanced match-ups. I doubt we are going to have them like this in the coming ones. For what ever reason it seems that it never passes this threshold and then things start to happen.
Btw. Maybe you should talk to the Gate of Madness night crew as well. This would give you another boost.
Eredon Terrace sure has a great community with all the gold donations collected for the good cause.

I don’t get this? B4 VK and Agg came down and taught us about:
Ball formation’s.
Effective team combo Field’s.
Effective team Build synergy.
and much more.
We still had zerg’s back b4 they came down but instead of order we had two large masses/zergs with range weaponry (and high DPS/Zerca gear) trying to shoot each other to death…..
How was that more fun than the Team synergy and team setups we now enjoy? To those that say its “Boring”, have you even properly tried it? get your butt in your server TS and learn a bit from the guys that are trying to make a difference to your server’s team co-ordination. I bet you will love it!
That is fine to have Zergs, again I am not complaining about zerging, I’m just saying that the game play isn’t really fun. What is so complicated to understand about this? Have people complained so much that is all you see now?
Either way, I am on TS with my team, and we are the guild that is making a difference. Why do you guys think we are ahead? Its not because we outnumber your zerg; for the record I do find it boring to Zerg, I find it so much more entertaining to go around in a really organized group than being in a big zerg just running around.

As a member of ET, I wholeheartedly approve your message.
But before I get to the “why”, let me address a few things. Each and every one of us builds our characters to be the most effective they can be and/or the most fun they can be. That is what the [Agg]‘s and the [FoE]’s and the [Ash]’s and every other dern player and guild do. We play games to have fun. Some of us play games because we like to be competitive.
With that being said, [Agg] is a very competitive and very effective guild. They are by no means the only good guild on ET. ET is the sum of our guilds, roaming groups, parties, and individuals. This is something that [Agg] members have stated repeatedly and I respect them for that way more than I respect them for their prodigious skill at WvW. They do tend to get a lot of attention, and that’s great because they have a reputation for getting the job done and that sort of reputation tends to attract a lot of praise and whining, depending on which side of the match you’re on.
They’re 20-25 guild groups also tend to draw other players, especially from the tiny guilds and single players because, frankly, people like to win and are naturally drawn to success. I’m quite sure they don’t hop onto a map and say, “I wonder if we can suck in about 50 more ET peeps so we can run around in one big giant zerg just to tick off our opponents.” But even if they did, hese big giant zergs are super effective, but not necessarily for just the way you think. Sure they can cap Stonemist fairly easily. They can grab keeps and garrisons. BUT, they also take the heat off the smaller groups: the 15 man “zergs” that are capping towers; The 5 man parties that are taking camps; The 2 man parties that are killing Dolyaks, Veterans, and Krait.
EVERYONE has a role to play.
Now, back to why I approve your post: Each and every post like yours probably just provokes guilds like [Agg] to become even more effective, to become even BETTER WvW’ers, to create even more success for Eredon Terrace.
So by all means, to all the whiners, keep up the good work. If nothing else, you’ve got me laughing my butt off.
Please let me make something clear: at no point was I complaining, or whining, or saying that they were better than us, or it was a bad way to play, in fact I praised them for their work and effectiveness, as well as stated that figuring out ways to stop them is the most fun I’ve ever had in Gw2; consequently, and I cannot state this enough, re-read my past statements.
Nevertheless, I do not have such high hopes as to think that you will go back and read my past statements, and perhaps I didn’t express myself correctly then either, this is possible as English is my second language.
I want to clarify that all I said was that even though effective, IN MY OPINION, it seems like a boring type of game play, the same kind of boring that keeps me away from PvE. All I said was that I would rather take a different approach to be successful, an approach in which we can involve not only my team, or my guild, but all the small pugs that appear and wish to have fun. Not just use them at distractions.

It’s impossible to be mindless and have no strategy when you’re facing large amounts of enemies- that sometimes keep coming and coming. Plus, our builds are made to support our allies which is how we can charge through a huge zerg and come out alive.
I promise it takes plenty of tactical decisions to run like we do. That’s why we search for the huge fights and area of most resistance because fighting numbers equal to or less than ours just doesn’t amount to much normally- and finding the larger groups is where the fun comes in, since you were wondering how our 20-25 man crew can possibly have fun in wvw… the video shows a prime example. If you watched the video, or any video of ours, you’ll see that we use many more skills than just spamming 1 and remain completely mobile so that we aren’t overwhelmed by enemy numbers.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. 25 people is a zerg.
I got nothin against zergs (even the word’s annoying in how unnecessarily condescending it is) but having 25 guildies on a random evening means you’re the biggest zergiest guild in the tier, not the spunky outmanned kid with heart.

Hence the whole reason i made the video, whether or not ET wants to admit it they zerg, which people have adamantly denied, and that AGG is the reason for ET winning, also people have denied. Is to be expected though when a top tier guild decides to go all the way to the bottom. Id compare you to the yankees playing in the minor leagues but their season so far…ouch, would probably help if they did go down to the minors.
GoM normally fields more than 25 every time we face you in NA prime. If our 25 fielded players who sometimes don’t even run as a guild for 3 hours a day is the only thing making ET win, then you’re saying that only 25 players who average 3 hours a day are the reason you’re losing. Also, is your last screenshot supposed to be only [Agg]? lawl
Your server isn’t doing bad, so there’s no need to jump at people on the forums. I can post screenshots of the huge GoM zergs that number higher than us that we fight, but I don’t. Because we prove ourselves on the battlefield, not the forums. Your pictures and videos don’t prove anything except that we work together as an organized guild.

We had about 25 [Agg] on tonight. This picture doesn’t really say much when it’s a mashed group of two enemy server’s players.
If you’re going to call a server out for zerging, don’t post pictures and videos of a guild that fields 20-25 players in a server vs server vs server PvP match-up. Just because you get beaten doesn’t necessarily mean your enemies numbers were greater than yours. Of course that will happen in certain cases, but most of the time we are outnumbered since we tend to roam as just a guild-mates and we play in NA prime time which is when all 3 servers have large groups of players roaming around. We try not to roam with non-guildies if we can help it.

Hello, glad you are all taking interest in countering my guild. It’s nice to see both servers theory crafting on idea’s but you won’t beat us unless you bring a good group of 20 or more people together under the same teamspeak channel with proper builds who listen to their commander.
It wouldn’t hurt to combine all of your organized guilds together as 1, that’d be challenging I think.
Honestly, I don’t enjoy zerg-ball-o-death game play. On T1 you don’t have a choice, but on T8 we have room to be… creative.
I promise it takes a lot of creativity in the form of class structure, battle tactics, and mobility to win fights when we are outnumbered more than half the time (speaking of my guild in particular). I’m not trying to show any sort of disrespect through this reply, but next time take a closer look at the number of [Agg] you face. Sometimes non-guildies find us and run with us, but we tend to just run as a guild and don’t use commander tags.
We are a smaller sized guild that has trained themselves to follow their commander without question and search for the largest battle possible. That battle is most likely to come from the server who is pushing to keep second place and potentially take first place. Just because you lose a fight doesn’t necessarily mean you were out-zerged.

That’s part of what makes me miss t8 -_-, at least you guys get to have relevant discussions to the thread. How does GoM fare against ET’s zergball tactics, and FC’s new coordination/gear knowledge from VK?
Are they just scoring during non-peak hours? Or are they holding their own against the [Agg]’s of t8?
We have never encountered anything like Agg before. We are learning and adapting and testing out new tactics. Only time will tell how successful we are, but we are definitely improving. The rest of ET has not been too hard to deal with, and you can easily tell if Agg is online based on whether ET is winning or losing. (No offense intended to ET).
I don’t do EB much, so I’m not sure about there, but mostly FC and GoM have been leaving each other alone. FC shows up everyone once in a while, taking advantage of GoM downtimes or an ET push (no shame in that, it is good tactics), but mostly it has been GoM vs Agg.
Overall, it has been a fun match-up. I’m really curious to see what happens. Can we (GoM) develop a solid counter to Agg? If so what will Agg do? Should be fun to watch.
While it’s nice that you acknowledge our guild, I’d like to point out that it is not true that ET loses while we aren’t online. We only play 3-4 hours a day as a guild and tend to stick on only one borderland. If it’s mostly GoM vs Agg then you guys must only play 3-4 hours a day as well.
Either way, it’s been fun fighting you guys and we look forward to the continued fights. Keep it up, guys!

Well [AGG] is the only thing carrying ET from what we all see, we just have to figure out how to beat those guys and itll be gravy.
Have you stepped out of GoM bl for a second and seen the other guilds working for ET as well? Plus, our guild only averages just 3-4 hours a night. When you are a threat to first place, be expecting some fire. You’re not doing bad. The scores are close and most people are having a blast.

Well, I’m not really getting why Gilkin is leaving… By the way he’s talking, it’s like ET turned unto the new SF… I didn’t see the 70man zerg he mentioned, unless he’s talking about Agg and FoE offensives (which I tend to avoid for personal reasons)…
But if the game will be more fun for him at FC, I can just wish him good luck because I have nothing against him, except that since his name will become “Ferguson Crossing Invader” he’ll be attacked on sight.
I’m not sure what gave you the idea that my guild runs in 70 man zergs. We normally field 20-25 guildies who are built to win. You won’t see [Agg] using a commander tag to rally people 90% of the time. We have more fun just running as a guild.

Agg is not the only guild working for ET right now. KWBH and FoE are holding points in other maps. FC bl is not the only place where you’ll find ET, but it’s the only place where you’ll find Agg because we aren’t holding any other maps. :P

I expect SoR to be a more competent force than the past several weeks. They definitely have a good chance to place 2nd consistently with the guilds who transferred in as well as several notable BG guilds leaving to T8 (lol).
I have a level 80 toon in every class and I have been part of hardcore wvw guilds for the past 4 months. I have experience from being in the guilds HB and Agg. I am most proficient with the necro class and spec in wells, but I am willing to use any class and spec that class to whatever is deemed necessary. I also have a working microphone and will download any voice chat program if I don’t already have it.
My only focus in the game at this point is wvw and I would more than like to join a guild that considers its focus to be wvw as well.
I am also willing to transfer from my current server.
Instead of worrying about our garrison, the minor victory that is for you, perhaps you should worry about the overall point total. This week has been much more fun because ET/FC have actually fielded some numbers and sported some tactics, but in the end, the difference was mute.
Pump yourselves up with your small victories, but really, unless you are starting to come close to winning this matchup, why bother posting this crap.
Because small victories matter, too. What are they supposed to do, just sit in complete silence and not care about anything?
