2. We were 15 at best 20 on EU during our prime with 30-40 in queue including 1-2 RL
3. Core WvW players went to slack due to unreal timers on queues
4. No server but BG approached us prior League and invited us in a respectful manner to join their ranks
5. We did not plan to move before the league starts but the Arena’s Net reality adjusted our plans
6. Core ZDs guild which consists of 300 players is on SFR, only WvW department transferred to BG
7. We came to NA BG for a minmum of 8 weeks
8. We play for fun & for server win
9. We never dodge fights
10. Dear IRON, we don’t have to whisper you for fights nor we will since you are the one map jumping from us whole evening, if you want to fight come and fight in game not on the forums.

I think you misunderstood. I’m trying to discredit the word “overtime” as a useless word in a game that is meant to be played whenever the kitten you feel like it. It’s meant for fun. If it’s fun for you at 3am, then play. Simple stuff.

Overtime can be defined as something that is not within the confines of “what is considered healthy or reasonable by society”, time-wise. In the context of GW2, people generally play during the night time. This obviously differs, but by regression towards the mean, we can safely assume that most people will play during one time frame, which is their respective 6-11pm. This is because of various reasons, be it school, work, family, social life, and other activities, which give people leisure time after “work hours”. We can consider these normal playing hours for WvW’ers.

Now, what I am referring to is the fact that people have told SoR guilds to play outside of their normal playing hours in order to catch up to BG coverage, whether it be staying up late at night or waking up exceptionally early. This is silly and goes against the entire mantra of what a video game is. Video games should be fun, competitive when seeked, and add pleasure to your life. But when you are SACRIFICING real life components in your daily routine, you are making a video game similar to a job, where you sacrifice key components of your life (social, sleep, other activities) in order to receive a promotion and earn more money (in the case of WvW, more PPT).

Basically, regardless of a video game being fun at 3am, don’t feel compelled to play more than is healthy just because some other people sacrifice their lives to win some season. Life is short. You only have so much time to explore this world of ours.

I didn’t know that “being asked to play outside of your normal times” was in the equation. Playing like that can definitely be considered putting in overtime. However, I do believe that if someone, or a guild, wants to play at like 3am their time, then it is fine and shouldn’t be considered “overtime” and simply just be considered playing the game.

I agree that in some instances people can make this game seem like a job.

I don’t think you understand JQ’s situation with having difficulties getting organized forces into WvW. PvE achievement seekers have all the maps queued. This also goes for the sheer number of people who transferred to JQ in hopes of getting the “gold league first place” rewards. All 3 “tier 1” servers are going to have queue/achievement seeker issues for a bit.

Even NS is struggling to pull enough members into a borderland to do their thing. Nothing we can do about it.

Hmmm…strange, I have to make comment as I was still on TC for those days. At the time I was not active in WvW and never commanded during the episode. It is strange and the funny part is that Agg’s tactics of taking cover at a bend/corner in the wall like that I belief was first proposed by me roughly 7 months ago to a PUG team while finishing Twilight Arbour. I was on CD at the time. The final boss fight with Falaine where she uses her mesner clone/phantasm skills that create Eir, Zoja, Thackery, Ricklock, and a golem. They were in a large cavern chamber and there was this long bendy tunnel that leads to it. My proposal was to have someone to pull Thackery, Ricklock, and the golem around that bend while our Pug team using that bend as cover from Eir’s and Zoja’s deadly range skills. Of course it worked as planned. At the time I even dubbed it ‘Plan B: the pull’. Why plan B? Well because we were failing the final boss fight repeatedly until I put forward the proposal. A couple of weeks later on YouTube some GW2 players used the same tactics to farm gold on Orr: pulling a boss around the corner of a gate to take it down while the players took cover behind the corner from the deadly range attacks of another boss. Since then I do on occasions use it in WvW. May be there are no connections between them, but you never know – just saying.

this shows that bg only dares to fight 2+ vs 1. i see them hiding and waiting to jump on up level characters. they scare to fight 1 on 1. they will bring their bogus roaming party of 5 to gank individuals trying to cross the ruins or spawn areas. talk about weaklings. fight as a group. we fight your server as a group. we don’t pick on just 1 player. we pick on your entire server. we can dominate on fair fights. we don’t do group vs solo kills.

And iirc, we were on BG bl last night (not EB) and destroying GoF and other BG guilds (w/ and w/o ONE fighting with us). The only plus side to last night was when Agg came on the map and we actually got some real fights.

Go home, troll. We don’t ‘randomly bash,’ we respect the opponents who earn it (like Agg, TW [now our allies], Ons etc), but call out those who need to step up their game.
