The obvious answer is that the issue is on your part.

Most likely reasons are; you either have a keylogger on your PC or you used the same login details that you used other places which has been compromised.

Remove the ‘r’ from the word and you will see why they were asked to rename.

It’s used for the BLTP. You can delete it, but 1) the game could just recreate it on next game startup; or 2) you will not be able to use the BLTP untill you reinstall the game.

I’ve sent in similar reports before, anet always classes pretty much everything as a ‘bug’ even though it blatantly isn’t.

It’s a fixed 8 *, always has been even though the password is longer.

Game and system restart doesn’t fix it, firewall not blocking anything.

I know that this isn’t ideal, but you could make a batch file to kill gw2.exe then start the game, it would save you trying to load the game multiple times and then having to kill them all.

Thousands of people still use the same password for GW2 as they do for many other sites.

The first server is only highlighted and to be honest it’s very clear to select a world. It only selected that world cause you continued with the ‘Transfer’ button.

Also there IS a confirmation/warning saying are you sure you want to change to “World”, how much it costs and that you can only transfer once every 7 days.

I’m guessing you have chosen the wrong world or you don’t like the one you selected.

I’m 99.9% sure that they will not restore an account involved with a refund and why would they. Your guild member could’ve easily requested a block on the account to stop the hacker then regain control.

Why would he buy from a site that isn’t an authorized seller which also sells stolen gold and items and is providing bannable services.

Tell him to get a refund and buy it from a legit seller.

WvW seems the only thing unaffected.

No email was sent with serials was sent if you bought from buy.guildwars2.com back in the first couple of months. You had to copy the serial from the website page.

If you find the email “Thank you for (pre-)purchasing Guild Wars 2!” which has the ‘Register your Account’ link you can right click it and get the serial from there. You can also click the link and get the serial from the register page.

All servers do this. I see many many times people from Far Shiverpeaks and Dzagonur doing this to various areas (bay for example) along with their map hacks (spawning under SM floor that hasn’t been attacked in 7 hours) and 10 minute buffs on revive.

The proof is in the chat logs. If a player clicks your name and reports you for bad language it marks when you were reported. If they submitted the ticket with a screenshot, they would verify it with the in game chat logs. All the GM’s and mods have to do is review the log and what you said.

You may have bought the game but you agreed to anets user agreement and terms and conditions, you got caught/reported for breaking them. They do not have to provide proof of this.

The language filter isn’t there so that you can swear whenever you want without consequence, it there to protect those that don’t want to see that kind of language. Yes it can be turned off but that doesn’t mean those who have can’t be offended by what you said.

I’ve reported Dzagonur [DE] bots before to anet, they claimed that they are legit players even though they are all similar/same. Hell some bot scripts I’ve sent to anet have come back as nothing related to them.

How do you think people get their accounts back when they don’t have their serial code?

If he contacts support like I said, they will be able to confirm his account another way. It will probably take longer to confirm this. Next time he should make sure he writes down his account.

This right here. This is why Anet Cannot reply on the public to be doing the policing of bot. You get the Hall monitor effect. This is probably why most of us got banned because of trigger happy people reporting other just because said person think he is not the bot reporting expert.

No it isn’t, you could be reported a thousand times and not get banned. You can’t use the excuse ‘trigger happy people reporting’ as the reason you got banned. I’m not saying that you’re guilty or not,but that is not a valid reason.

As I said in the other topic, it’s his own fault. If he is stupid enough to imitate a gold seller (links could actually be real) then he should be banned for being a gold seller. I have no sympathy for someone this stupid.

The original server retains all of the upgrades and influence, but when you change server you have to start over again, the upgrades aren’t transfered.

If you have proof that it is your account, you will get it back. Anet can’t do account rollback at the moment but will be able to in the future, there is no ETA on this. You wont get you €60 back unless you request a refund (only available if you bought it from buy.guildwars2.com) and in this case the account will be permanently closed.

Yes it will be via email, you can then either reply via email or via the link in the email. Either way anet will be able to receive it.

If you bought it from buy.guildwars2.com, then you will need to open a support ticket and ask them to give you a refund. If you bought it elsewhere you will have to ask there for a refund.

The sound of it is very similar to a part of the female genitals, so that is probably why.

Try restarting the client, it’s probably saying that because it’s still trying to connect the account.

I have noticed that ‘cancel’ seems to be buggy, for me it errors and says Connection Error then connects anyway.

You can only get a refund from where you bought it, Anet won’t give you one unless you bought if from them.

No it’s not, you can’t trade/exchange items/gold for real world services. You will be banned.

Say I accidentally deleted my Twilight legendary sword. I put in a support ticket (assuming you also don’t have in-game GMs yet either..), I now have to wait upwards of 24 hours and in some cases several days before I get a response. My only option here is to not make any progress on any of my characters until I receive help and my account is rolledback, or lose all that progress in the mean time.

The system was originally designed for only compromised accounts, I’m hoping it will still be as it’s open to abuse.

Here is how this system should work:

Every action and manipulation of an item a character does is logged. Vendor transactions, mail, trading post, transmutations, etc. Each of these actions need to be individually logged so that they can individually be undone, investigated, or modified.

This system can easily interface with the server’s API and maybe even be accessible to your mods from their website accounts (with added security of course).

Attached is a rough mockup I did of how this system could work. I believe this is the type of tool you want as a company to control the data in your game. You guys should have complete control over every aspect, but what you are designing now limits what you can do with your own product. That’s not the ArenaNet way.

Open to abuse, sending/trading with people just to grief them. It can probably be used to exploit the game, for example sell an item to get gold, buy a new item with the gold, undelete item to get the sold 1 back.
I think most things are logged.

I’m sure it’s like GW1 where they had the test krewe server where they could spawn things to test, but on the live servers all of it was removed.

It’s gold sellers sending you gold to hide their tracks, they will contact you back and say they accidently sent it to the wrong person.

Anet usually do take a while, a gold seller was banned (I think) 3 weeks after I reported them.

Ah ok, you can get the password from the browser/, if you’re using FireFox you can go to Tools > Options > Security > Saved Password.
For chrome Wrench Icon > Settings, scroll down to Show advanced settings and then click on Manage saved passwords.

The password to logon to the forums is the same as for the game client.

I would contact support and tell them to close it because now you’re not the owner of the account anymore, it’s property of arena.net.
