It really depends on your defination of “best” and what your looking for… Because to me the best guild is sIN, they have the most “impact” on the campaign and also some other good traits for a guild which to me define them as “best” also being only 2 months old and roleplaying gets bonus points ^^

The most organised is ofc RG, but they are run hardcore so I expect nothing less.

The most Balls deep is TUP

Looks like alot of guilds sticking it out on PS for the time being… despite ques being pretty kitten and frustrating at times… still people are joining us for “fun” apparently when they are not needed or wanted… being stuck in a “que” is fun, join another server if thats your defination of fun… Plenty of servers which aint full looking for new players

Because Piken wont be a tier 1 server… core guilds will slack off or xfer before that happens and other servers will be bigger so really not going to happen even if people wanted it too… Too many idiots not doing any research before joining servers

I agree BB should of been attacked more this week(when they were in lead) in night time RS played like vultures while BB attacked PS… seeing as BB’s night population is bigger would make more sense to attack them tactically… instead of try get quick score which long term is not better option imo. But thats fair game in W3, PS tries to attack all… I know @ TUP we do. A bit harsh saying PS is just zerg these days… yes it is alot more than it use to, because of bandwagoner’s joining having no clue how we run… and love of following raids instead of form team / use innative or follow a commander that wants to be followed.

Alot of it is still like KC pointed out, is co-ordinated raids. There as been alot of good action this week from my pov fighting the blobs of riverside/barach bay… We dont counter blob to fight you we come back looking for more and more… Some videos made will back that up

What guilds to look out for on RS?(medium/large) Is RSC smaller than it use to be? I know your friendlies are pretty much as organised defensively as most guilds though which is a credit to your server.

good luck at your new home Pax, great guild shame to see leave PS… can understand and respect why… your new server is lucky to have a friendly organised community guild… and your replacements on PS are just fail bandwagon trolls who have no idea what PS is or was about… probally no idea that its a roleplay server, probally no idea about the ques…

all tiers will be effected, because the ranking system is broken… all the free movement, and two servers collapsing creating mass movement and effectively w2 matchups instead of w3 that game was designed for…

The Rankings did look fairly settled a few weeks ago before blacktide then AS self destruction… if that was to happen to PS as well… the ripple effect would trickle down the tiers until the dust settled… so 2 dead servers atm = alot of spoilt matchups until they hit the bottom…

If Anet had fixed this issue alot sooner, wouldnt be facing these issues…

A guild joined the only EU server not recruiting… despite its ques issues… oh my gawd what a facepalm…

There is going to be do much drama on my server this week, because of selfish idiots moving to a server with ques issues because they assume its med pop theres plenty of room without checking the forums, or even contacting the wvw community… the population of server has no reference to the active WvW population… People have been warned and yet still want to come join, and if everyone has that same idea those ques will become twice as long… or core guilds who built the community up will leave to another server because of score obesssed guilds/players…

That dont for one second think, hey lets join a lower tier server and build up a community… no they would rather do the easy and stupid thing, lets join a esatablished and overflowing community and maybe perhaps destroy it…

Any new guild to piken expect a hostile reception… your not going to get the heros welcome you easymoders desire…

There are so many other decent servers around actively recruiting… that i just dont get it why you dont chose them… I see people building communities left right and centre and they have space…

people are like 50 people wont have a impact… thats total arogance right there, 50 people on ques which already are 1 hour+ for each bl…

So why are people joining the server not recruiting… when they obviously didnt come for the wvw community, as they didnt contact it before hand… so they came here for space to play as a guild? there is no space to play…

Its just a shambles of the Free xfers still killing communities because of guilds with that attitude. It will be a shame to see any Piken original leave and be replaced by people like that, Piken will not be Piken anymore.

Piken Is Full In primetime + reset… now since way back then when we were a little bit smaller… Ques are pretty bad which have effected community Harmony… So I wouldnt advise switching to Piken Square based on this. In fact its a shame, that some core Piken guilds are thinking of switching to another server before transfer deadline because of the que’s due to bandwagoners making it more and more impossible for friends/guilds who built up the WvW server from the low tiers to Team…

If your looking for a EU Server there’s quite a few recruitment threads around, and even NA servers looking for europeans so there’s plenty of choice of servers with no que’s that should be more appealing to players wanting to play and not sit in a que.

Hope that helps people make more informed decisions instead of get stuck on a server with ques then either pay to move again or quit.

We miss you Gandara maybe we can drop down and play again?

Its funny to read and see glimpses of Piken in Gandara… after all the guys who sucked it up last match and kept coming out seems to be paying off for you now. Aslong as you stay infront of AG… you will have AR/AS in T4… and AS are a dead server… will almost be straight up GD vs AR… which should boost your evolution alot if you do well(thats if you win this matchup) So big reward for whoever wins this matchup and gets promoted… another grudge match for GD / AR with less third party interference

BB & RS matchup is alot less intense than GD & AR

You have the potential… You have the spirit, with a bit more organisation and recruitment of a couple of guilds. Shame to See people xfering off your server after a bad week score wise… pretty sure if your community is loyal to itself and builds up you will bounce back big time… the other servers below wont know what hit them.

Maybe GD should try hitting Reset hard one week? as a different tactic and see how it works out for you.

With the end of free xfers soon… Gandara with the right PR is a good location, your easily T4 Material (potentially T3) you dont have ques and are in the process of building your community. Your the 4th ranked european server(not including nationals) (above BT & AG) and have room so pretty ideal location imo.

The Pioneer Guilds as you call them are still around…

Not the best place to talk about this stuff here… besides stating the obvious that Piken is full and doesnt want anymore… and wants all the recent bandwagoners to leave to the next bandwagon server or actually do the smart thing filter down the tiers to servers where you would be welcomed.

Anet need to get their kitten together… this WvW ranking and servers, rewards scrubs for xfering around getting free rides(even with paid xfers) while the communitys that have been built have to suffer the consequences of the easymoders disrupting communities or matchups… Its not just Piken who have been effected, Augury & Gandara have had to put up with one sided matchup, the servers in the tier above with blacktides collapse got a uneven match up (and the 3w will be mostly 2w for servers up against them) till they drop all the way down.

Piken might of won the last two matchup’s… but in the end might be the real loser because it performs well and scrubs flock to it again.

Scrub = someone choosing ques over going to a community that needs and wants you. There is plenty of server recruitment posts from other WvW communities yet they get overlooked… and if a few of the easymode guilds went there could easily make a impact and a difference, and create a better balanced sustainable ranking system.

Surely the devs can see the issues with the evolution (a server dropping over 100+) this far into the game when servers are supposed to be balanced out… some servers having no chance of promotion even if they win…

Should simplfy the rankings, win = promotion 2nd = same tier and third = relegation… otherwise you will create more issues long term… like this 4 week same match up as created… was the same last time when we fought gunnars hold and another server for two weeks. The rankings will become too stale, and alot of people will get bored of same oppostion eventually…

Dangerdoom i was like as others have said, on about Gandara Bl Garrison Defense(from pikey pov) later on… not The assault which took place to take it when i think it was GG,TUP,TNTD maybe seven too at that time.

Assault was okay on garrison(vs yak/cm/pugs) but wasnt very epic… Assault on hills was alot better fighting LDF and all the rest.

Cheers for the fights tonight in Gandara Borderland, as usual it ebbed and flowed… Great teamwork, alot of resilence from oppostion etc

Best fight of the night for me was North East Tower… TUP getting inside as you capped it, then fighting you guys for 5-10 minutes inside then capping it and fighting you some more.

Plenty of other decent fights, mostly vs LDF, Yak Etc (too many to name)

Epic moment of the night… was probally 30+ GD at Gandara Garrison… inner door was on 1%… I lit a beacon and sIN arrived on Gandara borderland, we had 5 or 6 TUP… then the race was on… stalled you a bit on the (inner west gate ramp) you guys portalled in behind us, we pulled back… few of our people downed, somehow survived… fell back, you pulled lord up and killed it… Meanwhile the sIN Pain Train was still a minute thirty out… We took it in turns to stall you capping the lord room, i lasted a respectable 10+ seconds Dranul failed < The vook did well, Strange did great almost brought it home…

We thought everyone was dead after strange and was maybe 20-30 seconds too short… But the one TUP member not on TS had ninja rez’d the lord and then stalled some himself… Then BHAM the pain train hit Bang on Time(very reliable Train) (2nd best fight maybe ive seen from watching on floor) Gandarans got wiped, the keep got repped… we then took the towers back.

Hey Myrmi, Yes its been awhile since we’ve fought Riverside, I hope RSC is still going strong look forward to fighting them again.

Main issue from guild point of view is ques, and being able to get a full strength raid into a bl, instead of running at half strength and not having same effect. Too many bandwagoners… who should find another home.

Looking forward to you bringing the fights to us, not sure how much your servers changed since we last fought for better or worse… I know Elona like to recruit from other german servers.

Majority of the guilds which have moved to Piken… havent been recruited by us just so you know… its very overkill, and our ques are feeling it because some people are selfish and have sad easy mode mentality…

I respect all the gandarans playing more than any of the new uninvited guilds who have joined our server… Despite having no chance of winning you are still putting up a good fight, and playing the game how it should be played, for fun… your using this as good practice for your future matchups.

Hopefully these uninvited and unwelcome visitors will move on to a server that actually “needs” and “wants” them… but they have no interest in building communites… just want others to do all the hard work then tag along… I see Gandara is building its community atm and is a bit behind Piken in that regard, implementing things we’ve been doing for awhile.

Hopefully we fight a Elona or server like that soon, and we lose then they move to another server more fitting for them… Playing > Winning… but obviously for some Winning > playing just lol.

Alot of these guilds… that have moved to us recently which haven’t been invited… dont even enquire or ask our WvW community, to find out the status and that we are full so just add to the problem.

So Gandara I know you are looking for WvW guilds… but I guess you dont want those kind of easymode guilds that moved to us? As i know your not fully qued on all the bl’s atm.

I’d like to know any new Tags you see personally on piken, as im keeping a eye out too as we dont want or need any more people when we have Full Que’s… people who join us now are >insert word here< and should go to a server that needs them, there’s plenty to pick from that actually want and would welcome them fully to their WvW community.

Immolator, The GG you saw during that time, wasnt good game (GG) was ghosts and goblins(GG)

TUP was present, but only running like 10-12 of us for awhile to begin with… so we had to pick our fights a bit more carefully and work with our allies alot more than usual… So VII was generally in similar area to us holding bay… while others were off roaming more freely, like SU, DT, HOB, sIN… most of us had issues with ques for GD BL Eventually as night went on we got up to aprox 18 TUP and now down to just me in your bl all alone chilling.

All i have to say is kitten you brought the fight to us… it did feel like the whole zone of gandara at bay inner… and that was a very close fight could of gone either way… you even got the door down and pushed in at one point while some people were respawning and running back… I think you had to deal with Some TUP VII and sIN (amongst others) like i said that was a close fight and turning point probally of the night as if you took it would of set us back and spured you guys on even more. But thankfully we repelled you just after many attempts. It was nice to see you guys fighting back.

Plenty of good fights in the north west area during that time from my point of view, outside bay. I Know nom and ldf eventually showed up, with NA and other french and stretched us even more… which HOB and others did a good job scrapping with and delaying.

We grew in number, then i wasnt only raid leader, had some nice fights with gandarans up north around the nw tower and n supply. Also had some fun fights with Ldf, Nom, then NA & pugs… then them all together So it swapped between Gandara having the big threat to AR for awhile, but eventually they logged as we took lake and soon after hills. Played a hour and half this time with sound bug because of the que’s couldnt relog.

Then it was back to Gandara Vs Piken again… hob logged, RG showed up, GG showed up for awhile before this, Tup took NE T3 tower with relative ease compared to normal, thankfully caught it off guard and blitzed. Then Garrison… you sure made us work for that… RG & TUP smacking your garrison multiple times from multiple ways… destroying your siege, having to regroup and reattack but Finally overwhelmed your valiant defense. Rg logged/swap zone.

Then it was the nw tower left to get… you guys obviously didnt read the script… its suppose to fall like domino’s… you take the one tower then they all fall down… but in fact ne (the first) was easiest… then garrison was difficult, and the nw tower was even more difficult…

Tried trebbing the nw tower… tried catapulting… Multiple times from multiple directions, hitting multiple walls… got it down to 0 supply, 40% fortied wall… but our 8 TUP vs 20-30 didnt over commit to it… you killed our trebs then we had some very nice fights at the north east tower, outside it then inside you caught half of us messing around when we pushed your superior numbers cuz we are like that haha (plenty of yak + others) was on the back foot defended with what we had left… lost ne tower

Then Gandara Assaulted Garrison ne outer… took it down… we had little supply there but had built some AC’s to cover both gates (just incase) you chose middle door, we fried your Ram’s… we was down to 7or 8 guys at that time… We got ready to push out, as our backup from sIN arrived (about 10 of them) and we pushed you out of garrison sIN covered the gate, while we run supply… sIN went back to what they was doing, we retook the ne tower with what was left of us vs 15-20 Gandarans.

Then we finally took t3 nw tower, by clearing all your siege again and good old fashioned rams on reinforced gate, by that time wasnt many of us, and not many defenders either.

So cheers for plenty of great fights on GD bl…

and Gandara you could be a T3 Server… your definately a T4 server… because blacktide will free fall… so that bumps you up a spot, Barach Bay might Fall… Augury rock and you guys it just depends who wants it more, and if you fight without piken around then will depend on the other third server’s influence a bit too. Piken is a T3 Server, maybe even T2, we are similar to kodash/riverside when we last met. Main issue for you guys if/when you get to T3 is if you have to deal with a big T2 server that drops down. (like when we got elona on holiday which was a double whammy for piken) fun action but zero chance on score.

Poor Ranger… I will light a candle for him tonight

I do feel guilty sometimes when my guild raid runs over one guy who has built siege by himself and is trying to solo cap something… always a worthy salute for that crazy dedication as its boring as hell and takes awhile.

The ranger should of solo’d the tower i hope they had auto attack on atleast kitten 95% dmg by one ranger to a door (i assume normal lol)

So did you end up taking that tower he had worked on, or you end up getting the poor ranger killed?

Caid that explains alot, but if thats gandara’s way then surely there should be alot less qq over server reset… as its not your strongest time and its out the way now. Both ways are viable, some servers slack off at end of week, some others push harder… by pushing hard at start usually makes you more likely to be targeted by both, its what we always done pre elona match up.

it reads so much differently from… you solo cata’d longview… you killed defenders who attacked your cata then hills got attacked, we went and stalled hills with me you dave + random friendly… vs 15 + gandarians… then called in the “sIN lords” who dealt with them as inner was almost breached… then fully rep’d up…

you came back and cata was destroyed so repeated cataing longview… I joined you from slacking @ garrison(drinking beer and reading)… I know you wanted to solo it, so was going to ease off, then sIN Arrived so i thought we would blitz it… we rushed in duo’d it as turn around looking at the ramp sIN was toggling walking up it lmfao… ah the roleplay as effected them already Then i saw a sIN member with “the Piken cat” who dissappeared into the night before i could get to pet it. Good times

Besides sIN (last week) and originally PS guild RG coming back… only one other guild ive see that im aware of being recent xfer to piken and that is Balkan guild.

Besides that, i haven’t seen others… i know we got alot of random roleplay guilds which might be encouraged to come out as we are doing better… we know we dont need anymore… we are full now.

Our biggest issue will be que’s and no internal drama.

Im pretty surprised that Gandara still doesn’t organise itself better for server reset… We have met servers that have hammered us score wise (even though we are strong on reset) its quite possible with the fall of other servers for Gandara to end up regathering/organising and getting into tier 3… and those other servers would hit you hard too on reset.

Our blitzkrieg tactics worked too well, as like some said having guild groups to defend supply camp is a bit overkill. Alot of our guys logged cuz we are use to alot more action (we did have our biggest turnout expecting alot of action as reset is usually very busy) then it got better later on as we was more stretched with lower numbers.

Me and a guy from Boon even stalled you taking back gandara garrison for awhile using all that 500 supply was alot of running back and forth lol.

Kinkywarrior seems like a voice of reason from Gandara… you have to understand that this is a grudge match, Piken is fed up of the trolls (yes it can go both ways) and all the X alot of gandara players have said about Piken as a server… guilds or players…

Personally i dont need motivation to kill X server… but this just makes it alot easier when it comes to which zone to choose Gandara or Augury Rock… mmmmm let me see which server doesn’t bad mouth us and which one talks alot of X about us on their forums and wants to relegate us.

Its not like we havent focussed AR in the past either, and we still hit them from time to time too when possible… I mean LdF & Nom provide probally the best fights this tier have to offer, although yak and others are pretty good fights too.

Its funny that morale and momentum play such a huge part in a video game… your momentum peaked (for now) and was stopped… while Piken regathered and reorganised… we took everything you’ve thrown at us and we come out fighting. In a few weeks shoe could be on other foot again while we dip you maybe pushing. All in all game is about having fun, the battles and epic moments that we play for. Less emphasis should be placed on the score IMO and more about enjoyment.

I see one guy from SN(ele usually) who plays alot like me, always dying for the realm to burst down catapults over and over, or leading the fight back… I respect that alot, looks like he enjoys being a team player.

I know TUP’s enjoyment is from big battles(and fing around), fighting greater numbers… or organised foes… we dont want to spawn camp you but game mechanics make that necessary then the fight is on with the breakout event trying to maintain all. I enjoy non stop fighting, from the big scale to the small scale, coming across enemies you see over and over.

Gandara you have guilds like TDA which are pretty good at small scale, you just need a bit more organisation and tactics at big scale then i can see you dominating tier 4 maybe holding your own in tier 3 if other servers collapse.

lol please stop the embarassment Gandara… thisisgandara forums so much slagging off Piken and AR < … the double standards which only a few Gandarans can honestly admit. Keep trying to troll, when ive tried giving you some helpful advice which it seems you clearly dont want… like i said i feel sorry for some of the gandarians who have to put up with that daily… the bile and lack of maturity by some which spoil your server and tarnish gandaras reputation. Some of Gandara want to lose, some dont want to lose… some of gandara want to hate everybody… some of them are respectable… Gandara your server seems like one big contradiction… you guys need to be united but are at each others throats or “the enemy piken/ar” always looking for others to blame when something goes wrong… instead of what could I be doing different or better… Why do not more people step up and command?

You go from one extreme to the other so fast… i.e we can relegate these “arrogant dogs” and now the shoe is on the other foot that we are back to full strength… oh its better if we get relegated… if its better if you got relegated why fight so hard on friday evening?

Its really hard to take you guys serious with the amount of wannabee trolls you have… but then you have players like Missy and others who despite getting a bit of the information muddled(fair enough) are respectable and deserve better (RG was originally PS not BT Guild) Alot better than your servermates tarnishing your servers reputation and you being lumped in the same bracket as them by generalisation.

Where did all the sensible Gandarians go from the last thread that was making progress? is there like some kind of rotation… one week troll, one week mature

Its like your Wannabee trolls have snapped (cuz they can no longer go on about the score its important to them) lol because Piken came out of the blocks and built up a early lead (which can be easily caught) as proven in the other matchups so far.

Thanks for the fights, it will be shame to see a lack of the Gandara fighting spirit this week which we all know exists (friday evening perfect example) if you guys have already given up score wise on this week (big if btw)

Oh my just when it was starting to turn a corner and be clean… mostly because only the mature gandarians was talking and Piken was finally winning…

I previously got trolled, for pointing out over xmas that “guilds” was away… totally inactive, and the response was everyone has holidays and effects all servers blah blah blah… it effected our server more than the rest(something you didnt and still dont understand or admit) and tonight you see the effect of all our guilds back, yet the QQ, trolling and double standards is hillarious.

There are a few resonsable people on gandara that I feel sorry for, with all the whine and QQ from the fail trolls… turning a civil thread upside down time and time again.

You know your only going to get your server hammered more, by adding more fuel to the fire… Augury Rock will be loving that.

Its kinda sad, but i guess some of gandara showing true colours again… because we thought you guys was improving as a server… in terms of attitude and also skill level/orgnasation.

You battled so hard not to get relegated… while Jade sea made a last ditch push, and tonight was your reward for all your hard work… Piken and Augury could of relegated you if both had made a effort as it was that tight… but we didnt want to burn out, its better to save self for reset…

We(TUP) went to Gandara BL looking for a fight… we were surprised by lack of organised defence, and last stand, everything just fell like domino’s… Respect to your guys who tried to defend but they were overwhelmed… where was the rest of Gandara… too busy from trying not to get relegated?

It was our 2nd most boring night in terms of server reset as a guild… first time was when we were drunk against gandara (drinking game was fun but fights werent that special) but it was pretty effective… There was a few decent fights but they was few and far inbetween (thanks nom etc)

Gandara needs to wake up, admit its weakness’s, know its strength and work on them both internally. Thats how piken got better in T8… Gandara has potential, but its being wasted atm with too many excuses instead of truths. Organisation, loyalty and structure is why Piken does so well… despite having a smaller population.

As for any easymoders, who think about joining piken square… dont bother, your not needed, you wont be welcomed… that attitude is whats wrong with game… if everyone stuck with original server the game would be alot better place, but some people cant handle dying or losing obviously. Piken Square is full in WvW ques now that everyone is back.

Cheers for the fights, hopefully your morale/momentum isn’t hit too hard and you guys come out swinging because im pretty sure most of us as players all just want a good fight, so less defeatism (you clawed back leads before) more positivity please… we won’t be against each other every week

As others have said one of Piken’s Strength is reset, so don’t read too much into it… you guys were obviously not ready for a blitz like that, maybe in future you will be against us or other servers.

You never know Caid we might get a round 5 :P

Some really nice fights for TUP this week, both with our smaller 10-man roamers and full 25-man warband. Particular mention to [LdF] (seen smashing into our flank in the above video) and [NOM], with whom we have had several epic fights. Also a big shout out to our brosephs in Semper Dius from Gandara.

Lol the music choices 5:30 is the best part… epic stalling some nice fights in that vid, as for that stalling in garrison… you missed the part where one of the guy’s who was stalling before me(gj btw) complained on team chat, that he died and didnt get any of the kills… so Tup all mailed him 50 silver each Lmao then others who was there wanted some but we were too broke then sorry

I didnt say it was all meant to about GvG… im just saying that for GvG to happen is very nice, considering the lack of tools provided to our community for us to enable GvG, we have to make our own. Its nice change fighting organised groups, instead of always pug Zergs. Im just pointing our the irony that alot of people complaining about the GvG going on(some of it arranged, most of it not)… in a game named “guild wars”

Give less pve in spvp is a good place to start to make spvp better…

SPVP is boring, its so bad compared to the original guild wars… its all about “point flipping” no skill invovled… its not about the “fights” which pvp should be about the fights… Its Very lacklasture, little fun to be had in it, besides experimenting, honing skills and fighting other guildies and ignoring the points and how the scenario’s was intended to be played… I just really dont know how they can go from GW1 Spvp with all those nice random maps with nice deathmatch format too to much king of the hill flipping spots ignoring team fights.

It reminds me of the lame warhammer scenarios where you play cat and mouse chasing around flipping flags… instead of other decent scenarios where you actually fight.

Cheers for that fight just at Bay in AR a few minutes ago Gandara hope you enjoyed it as much as us only started frapsing it half way through so missed some good footage (why are the best fights never taped) but atleast got the second half lol, even when we finally wiped at the end Cheers for the other fights too but that one at bay was extra nice, as we were going to log just before.

I remember that fight Caid… was it half a hour? lol it sure did take awhile haha Was really good back and forth, plenty of downs and no kills, or only a few kills of randoms, or gandara players respawning and coming back but was mostly a stalemate, until I got the guys to follow my calls more and faster. It wasn’t pointless we had to see which side was going to win that fight =D

lol Krato, your going to be giving people alot of hope now they see TUP die more in one evening than in two weeks… and show how casual that we really are.

Despite the differences, we know what they are, its nice learning for some of our more casual players, a nice baptism of fire and its only going to improve us, which some people said already having a effect because its a different type of challenge… harder than fighting 100+ usual gandara players from experience.

We know we dont have the same strength in depth as RG, 10 vs 10 or 15 vs 15 i think with most our core on it would be 50/50 give or take but with two people’s first outting with us, a couple non guildies, two people with **** connection and hardcore vs casual, we will always be up against it on a head on head fight 20 vs 20 (ish give or take) now in usual WvW if you catch enemy by surprise and get the jump on them, then thats slightly different with a couple variables.

One thing it does show is our Unlikely Spirit, we love fights and will never get broken, Two nights in a row now we wanted more fights haha, win or lose we always about the fights. So cheers again for the fights, although its a bit distracting from the campaign :P

Not bad for some casual roleplayers looking forward to some more, as i know we are likely to run into each other a few more times and bob will be turned into a moa… its going to happen

Trying to create Drama between TUP & RG is just kitten #8230; We both have respect for one another. Not many guilds would go up against RG, with less players

There is alot of differences between us, I.e Casual Vs Hardcore, slight numbers edge although today we tried to even it out, then there is the experience difference.

Being a ex RG member, and officer of TUP gives me a unique perspective.

People should be affraid for Whenever TUP & RG are back on the same side in the same zone… just like we were at the start, both guilds have grown a bit since then, we had to grow to help try fill the void RG left and have done a fairly good job considering all the whine and fail baiting, among some compliments from mature players.

Thanks for the fights last night bob, was good practice/different challenge… some very nice fights i watched them back on a stream and saw they were alot closer than i thought for most of them and the similarities, the fight outside SM was like ballet.

Those fights did go alot better than when it was 12 vs 34 haha earlier on before meeting but that is our mentality summed up, we fight no matter what odds

Good fights this week Piken even had que’s again for one evening in some of the maps so almost recovered from its hangover.

Despite techincal issues (anet serious error ftl) making me miss Wed’s night action (which i heard was pretty good) been invovled in alot of battles before and since So many backs to the wall stuff, valiant defending and brutal assaulting despite generally being up against it numbers wise.

Been slighty impressed with a handful of gandara individuals that i often see around, some guild names are memorable, and love fighting your zergs even if we have no chance when severely lacking number, or a minimal chance… we will make you work for it.

Piken Is Friendly and respected by many servers… it seems from the get go Gandara have a issue with Piken… and have been trying to tarnish our reputation, accusations of hacking of well respected players and guilds didnt help. You’ve been trolling our servers image and reputation to no end… yet piken is the arrogant ones? Just because i stated some truth about Piken’s Current situation, it seems Gandara get all defensive about that lol.

Gandara’s momentum, and server pride as been turning into vile negativity aimed in Piken’s direction… blah blah blah Alliance <<<< over and over, when it was openly done and a backlash for xmas by a minority of both AR & PS. Alot of commanders didnt know about it until it was over so go figure. Likely will never happen again, case closed… yet days and days blah blah alliance, really?

Im glad if anything i say is motivating Gandara, I want fights… its depressing when you have to chase servers map hopping away from guild group

I dont know Gandara’s situation inside and out, like it seems gandara are very dismissive of piken’s current situation… I see alot of baiting from gandara and I can return the favour Im generally being pretty nice… just my realism, is classed as arrogant and dismissive?

Initially was pretty surprised and shocked by Gandara’s attitude towards Piken, after weeks of mutial respect between Piken, Riverside and Kodash.

Fighting Elona made Piken very realistic, at end of day its all about numbers… So Gandara riding high after recruiting, Piken are regrouping. Elona had a superiority complex because they had more numbers and would win on score, but would lose many battles vs a third their number… yet thats “mad skills” apprantely. We thought we would get double teamed vs elona and kodash, but elona seem to dislike germans just as much and give off same vibes as Gandara are about Piken.

The amount of effort Gandara needs to get promoted is a crazy amount at this rate, then you could find a huge server where you have no realistic chance of beating just cuz of numbers, and life is more important anyways to take it that serious But the fights are insanely fun if your running at decent sized group, small scale will suffer though.

Piken could get relegated… and we could be “rewarded” score wise if we hit that tier hard and come back with momentum… (thats if we are the piken pre xmas and if other servers take us lightly) with the way the ranking system works, instead of slogging it out in this Tier… (aka rewarded)

But personally im just enjoying the battles vs a New server to us, and seeing old foes from Perish,KF,TDA etc is icing on cake… and other guilds we have previously met on different servers.

Man the lack of reading comprehension coming from Gandara is staggering.

Arrogance and contempt from piken? not from the people who prefer to pv door? proud of it, want to film/screenshot? Sounds like you were against randoms with no leader, I popped on briefly late last night and friends list usual night guys was not on too busy socializing getting drunk. So organised beating equal numbers of randoms sounds like a massive thing for you… congrats again on your achievement.

As for walking over you… Score wise no, Piken is just Stabilizing and recovering from holidays… We pushed all the way from t8-t3 then fought a super zerg server like elona (who are now very active in T1 last i looked) Piken’s missing a few of its guilds still, and Score Wise Piken doesn’t have the total population luxury of being able to miss a guild or two of that size and acitivity. Mix that in with holidays where piken are too busy with RL, and you can see why score is the way it is.

As for our reputation and everything… check out who was voted most likeable WvW server in another thread… yes thats right surprisingly it wasnt the kind, warm, friendly, likeable gandarians… It was Piken roleplayers, Gandara and elona seem like the only servers who have issues with ours, Elona seem like they have issues with everyone, maybe Gandara is the same…

So keep trying to besmirch Piken’s Reputation Gandara… it makes you look like “lovable rogues” honest still can’t believe people going on about alliance when it was like 7 guys… where ps and ar still killed one another… all been explained many times but some people are still buttsore that pv door got interupted.

And before its mentioned again its holidays for gandara too… well you could of fooled Piken and Augury but no seriously holidays have different impact on every server, and obviously it’s more likely to effect lower pop more.

Score is semi important, but seeing as we might even get round 3 next week too… its all about the fun and battles… the gap between t3/t4 is pretty big… t3 provides great fights but doubtful that any of these 3 who go up can stay up unless a server above dies or crazy effort.

Nice to see some consistency in this match up with First place being focussed more (like last week) as AR are very close to running away with it this week, they maintained and stabilized their lead for a few days then have slowly been expanding it.

At this rate we could even fight each other for another week in a row As no team above us is in freefall, and no team below us yet is making a huge push… although our current server strength’s are pretty even with people turning it on and off now and then.

I guess our enemies like our difference in playstyle to every other server we have faced so far. Where we try to avoid the fotm tactics, zerging and blobing as much as possible that alot of servers live and die by.

It did seem you brought everyone in the zone to deal with us at times Gandara, and especially to try kick us out. However A bit dissapointed that Gandara’s Zerg stopped fighting us and some of them looked like they switched zone even though we was on gandara borderland. Our numbers was about 15+ give or take as it changes over evening, being kind your numbers appeared to be 50-75 at times against us with alot of culling issues.

Before we get again accused of just focussing you gandara… and ignoring our “buddies” augury … We visited every map tonight, Piken + GD bl mainly against GD ofc, and EB & AR againt AR zerg.

Plenty of epic battles all round, last fight was alrite @ briars, wiped you with our 5 + friendlies… then one had to afk, and it was too much for four peeps, it didnt help that we had a idiot on piken’s side who had bought upgrade fortify walls on briars starving it of supply… i mean buying that is only to troll as its not needed and person who bought it had no intention of staying and defending till complete. Supply > upgrades… there is no hope for some people learning when and when not to upgrade <3

Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did Starting to even recognise enemy guilds now, which was impossible when we fought elona…

Firstly for people still living in a bubble and crying alliance… far from it… last night on reset AR was strong in Piken BL and EB… stonemist flipped ownership a few times.

TUP took Half of gandara’s zone last night… then took all of AR’s zone… (yeah our allies facepalm what were we thinking) Then we took all of gandara’s zone…

Like someone said the french are quiet on forums, and so attract alot less attention, plus you guys “won” last week so its to be expected.

So explain to me if we are still in this make believe alliance which was between 7 people from AR & PS… which PS was very open about it btw, it was no backroom stuff… Why was AR in PS BL? and why Did PS Cap their entire zone?

AR Started strongest, Piken then overtook for awhile, Gandara was pinned in. You had numbers for awhile too, I saw a bunch of bunny smugglers

As for exploits, the burden of proof is too hard to prove in this game, unless you fraps someone wall jumping or in a place they shouldnt be… screenshots and everything still could have legit reason. But from experience, there was alot of exploiting on reset, pretty sure it was more AR than GD, but everyone has bad apples including piken and to act otherwise is crazy. I.e I noticed AR people inside a keep, which had never been breached cough wall jump cough… and no they wasnt there when we capped it and waited alot of time then started attacking…

But to prove it beyond question is too difficult, and bannable for name and shame. So instead of throw too much QQ just kill the scrub exploiters and make them leave game, the sooner the better (lol @ people who exploit and still die) I have no sympathy for any piken caught exploiting and hope they get farmed hard by our enemies… as i know one very small guild that does it and they are not part of our WvW community, forums, meetings etc Can I prove beyond 100% they are exploiters nope, but the amount of times they have been caught in dodgy situations and reported by our enemies…

Every server has bad apples, the holier than thou attitude don’t work, reporting people that exploits barely work to ANET or to othersides WvW community… Unless they are from a respectable guild that wants to play by the “rules” i.e Fair (which are unlikely to be caught cheating in first place then probally kicked from said guild)

Keep up the good fights guys and remember to kill all the bunny smugglers

ps. Thanks for lending us your zone for the night and before people say infamous night capping or zerg… we took it with the > outmanned buff against us < we then took ar’s then we took gandara’s again… and if we had enough manpower we would of took AR’s again…

Missing waypoint in the Gandara spawn on PS borderland.
I have been having this problem since yesterday when a bunch of us got booted out of Gandara (no idea if it did the same to the other servers )

The odd thing is I seem to be the only one in my guild that I know off which has this problem, So I am asking here if anyone else in any server experienced this so that I can put as much information in the bug report.

If your on a ALT character… for the first time you enter a zone you have to go through the portals in spawn and cannot waypoint

However if you have already unlocked waypoint etc and this has happend to you… i’ve known it happen to a few people before and only way to temporary fix it is relogging… (which is a bit poor in primetime with the que’s etc not being able to respawn) Hope that helps

I’ve had a great evening moving between the borderlands, seen some pretty intense fights and towers falling from one hand to the other, and points being everywhere! It seems no one is done fighting just yet, and it may well come down to the wire!

Had one particularly long spread fight against a thief in TUP who was shooting down our dolyaks, must have been 4-5 minutes of facing off as I lay trap after trap and went through pet after pet, as he went from shadow to shadow. I managed to win with 8 health left by luring him under water. Seriously man, my heart was about to give up at the thrill of that long long fight! I cant help but feel that he expected me to be to usual ranger glass, and that expectation gave me the edge I needed. (Im far from glass build!)

Going to ignore for the most part, the double standards of gandara and tonight cough double team cough in PS BL… 50+ GD & 50+ AR vs 30 PS… well atleast gandara didnt take hills… Gandara must be using jedi mind tricks on AR I mean they chose to ignore you capping their homeland for hours too instead focus us… then in eb they again chose to ignore you and focus Piken… as its part and parcel of W3 with or without alliance

I see more false accusations of fair piken players… fair enough if its the same old people who have been reported to us before and hopefully get banned for exploiting(small minority every server has some), but ive seen quite a few legit and fair people being brought up who I know dont exploit and are being slandered with no evidence just assumptions which is pretty wrong imo and tarnishes both servers reputation, one for spreading lies and other for having lies stick.

As for quote and the TUP thief you were on about, that was probally me but it wasn’t a duel, i never targeted you (if its the action north east of bay in gandara tonight) i was hopping around alot and just attacking dolyaks, while being chased by 5-7 Gandarians plus having to deal with 5 veteran guards… killed one dolyak, the other got lucky and regen’d plus i was having to deal with alot of heat which i blew all my cooldowns on. If its not me not sure which thief your on about as I haven’t seen many on today. If it wasn’t me sorry

Can’t wait for All our WvW guilds to come back then it will be on even still with your population advantage which is fine by me… Not sure when my guild will be starting back up properly or if i will go above and beyond like usual… But Gandara we have already focussed AR in the past ALOT, and alliance or not… with all your kitten throwing and “advantages” dont be surprised you will more likely be targeted more than AR next week if i have anything to say about it…

I know what AR are all about already… they have a very good spirit, I want to see what gandara are made of besides QQ throw kitten here… I forget how these forums tend to go, but I guess when fighting Riverside and Kodash they have more awareness and respect.

Do you really think the server your fighting now is the same med pop server that got to T3? Maybe some of your more aware players might know the difference… If you have more people to come back thats cool… Next Week still might be too soon for some of our guilds to come back… but you will be in for rude awakening when they do and that is a guarentee

Piken have been double teamed in alot of previous matches… especially in EB. You guys have every right to feel the way you do, but atleast your guarenteed action… and should take it as a compliment… otherwise there would be alot of RV door going on. Like i said hollow victory for whoever wins and this just adds to it.

I think it comes down to manpower, and a bit down to nightcap, Gandara have the most manpower and nightcap… PS & AR Are light in numbers, they cant spare enough manpower to pressure as many maps as Gandara been able too.

you must be doing something right to get double focussed. You guys had alot of momentum and it took drastic action to slow it down… Piken and Gandara both targeted AR the other day (10 points in primetime) the difference was Piken didnt have enough spare troops to pressure Gandara in same way as well… but Gandara could.

If PS & AR had usual numbers out… you would definately see more PS vs AR action going on… its still happening but its just not on the same scale of PS vs GD or AR vs GD

currently you guys are the threat, you put targets on your back… if you want to get promoted and survive in tier 3 you will face even bigger threats. fighting two under strength tier 4 servers, is nothing compared to fighting a tier 3 and tier 2 server.
