to the people saying dredge isn’t that long… have you completed it over level 30? Remember a fractal is supposed to take 15-20 minutes each. If you have a video of you doing it on level 30+ in under 30 minutes I will concede that I was wrong.

Actually, Arena net said fractals are 20-30 minutes long each.

I’d say it’s about the same length as the hammer one to be honest.

I don’t get why people wouldn’t want a Necro in FoTM.

As far as I’m concerned, every class is for FoTM, it doesn’t bother me at all what people in my fractal group are playing.

It’s my favorite.

I actually love the boss fight to the Dredge fractal. When I did it for the very first time I was like.. finally a boss that actually requires you to do something other than stand there AFK with auto attack going.

So, with the new change to the gathering tools, the previous bone pick and scythe have been put back into the store for a week.

Also, yes all future tools are now 1000 gems because they are now account bound, instead of soulbound.

I was going to buy them for every character any way, so now it’s going to cost me more gems :/ if they stuck at 800 then it would have been a good move.

About $400-$500. I have 6 bank tabs, 18 character slots (and will be buying more) bought over 100 BLC keys, most of the skins that go in gem store, multiple unlimited tools, unlimited salvage kit.. and a load more crap.

EDIT: Holy S*** I’ve just actually checked my paypal to see all payments I’ve made on gems and it’s actually a total of $739 (£462) didn’t think it was that much.

EDIT 2: Seems I’ve spent the most money in these recent months.. spent a total of $143 in October, and so far in November this month I’ve already spent $99.. I seriously need to slow down.

Great axe is pretty much guaranteed to be a usable weapon at one point, I remember someone from Anet talking about it on a stream a while back.

I would change your 3rd skill to do more damage the farther you charge, it would make a good opener and not many skills have that feature. Also, it seems you only thought of this weapon for a Warrior, which is the class least in need of a new weapon.

The professions I would see being able to use the GA is Warrior, Ranger, Engineer and maybe Guardian.

Not being funny but you have to confirm when picking traits so I don’t see how you can slip and accidently click a trait then slip again and accidently confirm.

Currently, it would cost about 191 gold to buy the gift, sigils and mystic coins to craft yourself then you just need 50 SP’s for the scroll. Or you could buy The Crossing for 199 gold at the moment, both work out cheaper than buying/crafting the recipe at the moment so I’d say if you really want the staff then either buy it outright or buy the gift then just save up for the other stuff.

Yeah it is pretty expensive. I managed to get my recipe for the gift before this Halloween so luckily I don’t have to farm crazy amounts of Halloween materials, still haven’t actually made the gift yet though as I’m lacking enough lodestones.

I mainly use hammer #2 for a blast finisher in combo fields, good to use after the #1 chain for area ret.

By the way, the stuff you listed is ONLY to make the recipe, you still need the other mats to then craft the weapon itself. So it still takes 100 lodestones, 500 crystals and whatever the other 2 are.

Edit to clarify: The weapon materials are still the same, only the recipe for the gift has changed.

Wow, nice solo man. I’ve read plenty of time, late at night, people saying “we can’t do it just leave it” when we had like 20 people.. this proves them wrong.

I also keep seeing everyone say “Don’t range him or you heal him, stay melee” what’s with that? How does attacking from range heal him? Whenever I go melee range I die in seconds, though I was playing on my level 25 Necromancer.

Yeah you can’t get them in PvP for some reason (at least there is no slot for it in the PvP locker)

You can see all the PvP backpacks that you can get by visiting the PvP locker in heart of the mists.

I did think at first it might have been a technical problem on server and data load because everything you own in the bank/bags is basically stored on their servers, but I can’t see how that would make a different because I’m still holding the same amount of items, they are just all split in stacks all over the place (which in fact would likely cause more stress on the data servers than just having 1 stack count)

Also, that same thing counters your comment of having a negative effect on economy, again this wouldn’t effect it because I’ve still got the same amount of stacks, it’s not like if they increase the stack limit I will have more of them, I already have loads they are just taking up 30+ slots instead of one.

So I’m not really sure why this can’t be changed, again like I said in the first post the only reason I can think of why they wouldn’t do this is because they want people to buy bag slots and extra bank tabs. Because if your items are taking up less space then there is less chance you will buy a bank tab.

By guild backpack, do you mean the one that looks like engineer tool kits? If so, I don’t think you can get those ones in PvP.

You can, however get the back banners that has your guild emblem on them which cost 7500 glory from the PvP rank vendors.

I don’t think people would go as far as to make a list of people not to group with.

For me, I don’t really care about stats and doing highest damage possible. I mean, I wouldn’t mind being able to see my stats just to see how I’m doing, but also wouldn’t change my play style because player x did more damage than me.

These “elitism” players are a bit annoying to be fair, whenever I run dungeons, I couldn’t really care less if someone is running sword+shield and physical skills on warrior in CoF P1, if that’s how they want to play then that’s their choice.

Hate people who try force everyone to play the way they do, or the way they are “supposed” to play. So yeah I can see how this may make elitism slightly worse, but in all fairness, that crap is already in the game any way. Can’t count how many times I’ve seen “10k+ AP” in LFG listing, like AP actually has anything to do with player skill.

I don’t see how it will encourage elitism if the stats ONLY show at the end of the run, so there’s no way of people knowing you do crap damage until you’ve already finished so they can’t kick you.

If it was a stat that can be seen at any time then I’d say yeah keep it out, but if it’s just a bonus stat chart once the run is complete just to let you know how you did, then that’s fine by me.

Most of them are. When you get a back skin and double click it, you get the option to use as normal or convert to PvP.

The bad thing about that is most skins you can only get once for completing meta achievements, so you can’t use it in PvE and PVP, you have to choose.

I was expecting the candy price to drop quickly like last year, but it seems to be staying around the same price. It goes down a little bit but then goes back up to over 70c.

I guess it’s because you get a lot less candy this year than last year, which is stupid seeing as everything cost 10x more.

This is probably one of my biggest issues with the game at the moment.

Why does the collection tab only stack up to 250? it shouldn’t have a limit on it really, and if it has to, it should at least be 1000 (especially with all these 1k upgraded items we get lately)

My bank and bags are just full of everything that I want to keep in case they are needed at any time. I have stacks and stacks of cloth and leather but I want to keep it all because I will no doubt need stupid amounts of it when we get ascended armour crafting.

The only reason I can see why they put a stack limit on it is because they want your bank/inventory to fill up so you will buy more bag and bank slots from the gem store.

I have 5 bank tabs, a personal guild bank and 5 20 slot bags and still never have room for anything, and don’t even get me started on bloodstone dust…

So yeah, I wish they would just remove, or at the least increase the collections limit.

They really should have brought weapon dyes back.

But then some weapons would become pointless because they are the same weapon in a different colour (Asura Tier 1 and SE come to mind)

Weird how this years Halloween is much smaller and has less content than last year.

Yeah it’s the same with the other mats. I don’t get why this year things cost a LOT more to buy yet you get a lot less :/ I remember having loads of spare crap last year that I didn’t need.

Yes, i did, so i checked – they don’t give points for that achievement.

Then that is a bug and should be reported as such.

It’s not a bug. Read the achievement, it says use 20 scarecrow or mad king stomps against players in PvP or WvW.

I usually love to collect everything in a game, but after thinking about it again, 20k candy corn is just stupid. It’s been over 2 weeks now and I only have 1 cob and now that the new living story is out I probably wont get much Halloween done now.

I will probably still run clock tower every so often though as I like jumping puzzles (much rather spend an hour doing JP’s than following a commander and auto-attacking champions)

I can’t remember how the market went last year so don’t know if the ToT bags will become valuable after Halloween, so I’ll probably keep some on me just in case.

I actually quite like this.

Gives me a chance to actually use my bought finishers, as I don’t PVP much. It also makes combat more challenging and can add strategies to combat.

I don’t know how I’d feel about all enemies having this feature, but I wouldn’t mind it being used more in the future. If anything, at least all human enemies should have downed state, but downed state on mobs like spiders, skales, and ettins would be silly.

8g an hour is over estimating.

The only money I’d be making from champ farming is the coin from boxes as I need everything else. I salvage all blues & greens for luck, salvage all rare and exotics for ecto/DM and need all materials for crafting + saving for legendary.

So at the end, I barely make much money from champ farming.

Yeah, joining a new instance allows you to get all chests again. However, I was playing late at night so games were pretty empty and I did find myself joining the same one often so I started to stick with the same one and just leaving every now and then.

I was about to start a thread about their weapons, I’m sure they didn’t have them before.

Majory’s weapons NEED to be on my Necromancer, would also love that staff for Mesmer.
