Sigil of battle is a must for almost any ele weapon.
Renewing stamina is awesome when you change your trinkets to zerkers (which you should do right now now now)
Take away 10 points in earth and put them in air for zepyrs boon (a must have for d/d)
Lastly grab elemental attument its epic.
That is pretty much it.
Conjures and kits get the stats of the highest tier weapons that you can use at your level.
Since asc will be the new highest tier LH will do the damage of an asc hammer at lvl 80.
Meaning we and engis will get max damage before anyone else,so what exactly is the problem?
Sad we have to use a conjure to do any damage tho.
30%~ less total damage in optimal conditions than a thief ele warrior, good middle of the line in case of a zerker build.

Exotic weapons are a MUST since they are the biggest factor in the damage you deal.

I think its a very lazy reskin except for the head and hands.
If you are playing against something with a brain then d/d beats staff,otherwise its just a question of do you like range or not.

listen to no one saying how bad elementalist is right now. d/d bunker ele is among the best things in the game right now. i’ll go as far to say it’s almost overpowered.
Its as overpowered as a rock,tree or another piece of scenery-you cant kill it but it actually serves no purpose.
I did, and I stand by it. To be honest, I extend my sympathies, if this nerf is hitting some of you other ele’s this hard, I only considered that I had no trouble and thought it would extend to the majority. Its my fault for being short sighted I guess.

Try getting invited to p4 arah with your ele.
PvP balance is ok,PvE is nonexistant.
So no-one here is mentioning the fact that ele’s have DOUBLE the cooldowns on their weapon skill than any other prof (including the engi) and that they are always stuck to either long or short range-try playing an d/d ele when your opponent is at 1200 range and ride the lightning is on its 40 sec (and in words FORTY SECONDS) cd or going 1v1 with a staff.
The engi might be a bit up,but they are way more versatile than the ele.

When my elementalist is able to do that with an 8 sec cd skill i will admit that the game is balanced.

They have no taste,but are 90% water 10% cocaine-thats why the are so expensive.
Having easy access to Swiftness + having a 25% runspeed signet is (from the perspective of a Dev) plenty run speed increase. I doubt they view RtL as a movement tool in their balancing, in fact, this nerf discourages exactly that.
Why then does the warrior still have a 20sec cd rush or the rangers 12sec swoop-when its obviously not a movement tool for a classes that have perma-swiftness and a 25% rs signet?

I agree with the rest,i use conjures in pve quite a bit since i am bored with the lack of variety of our weapon skills,but they need some more love.Water arrow would be viable for healing if it had a larger raidus. Currently 120 is too small and misses even melee alot. 180 would make it at least a reliable constant heal on melee. Combine that with your other water abilities and soothing mist and you can get a good level of healing.
The single target attack is respectable, the frost fan is really good used right, and the AOE damage is really good honestly. 5 is interesting because it stacks chill well with frost fan and makes a decent stun, but landing it against other players requires some finesse in WvW and will be difficult or impossible in sPVP.
It would need to heal for 500hp a shot to be viable-it does ~200 dmg with 2k power
and has the longest flying attack of all the ele skills,along with that ridiculous arch it makes.
Try a S/D with a sigil of battle on one of them-i run a 20/20/0/10/20 (Pyromancer’s Puissance is not that good because you really,really need to be changing attuments around).
Start in air with rotl,switch to fire for the first 4 might stacks (sigil+that arcane trait that gives you might when you go to fire),cast ring of fire,dragons tooth and pheonix (all of them inside the fire field),then switch to earth and quickly use earthquake and churring earth (since by the time you start channeling churning the mob will be dead,use lightning flash to blink to the next one to hit him with it)-now you have 16 long lasting might stacks,go back to air and bzzzzz everything to death,rinse and repeat.
Mega fail Anet… if this is true the tunnel vision is astounding. Doesn’t anybody think a centimeter beyond the immediate scope of these nerfs? What am I saying, of course they don’t.
Please in the future remember that you are balancing an entire interconnected game before swinging that nerfbat willy nilly.
They swing the nerf bat based almost purely upon PvP. The few times they look further, they stop at wvwvw, and don’t consider larger ramifications. For 4 years they let that damage GW1 badly – and they still haven’t learned from it.

Fun =/= balanced
The prof is fun i agree,but try playing another prof (esp in pve) and you will see what all the doom and gloom is about.
Anet wants to kill the ele and you will let them if you keep saying ‘its all fine,the class is still fun to play’
Complain,shout out in all the forums that the ele is underpowered and maybe,just maybe they will have mercy on us.

Maybe, just maybe it is the desginers job to make a dungeon which is not cheatable.
And it is the players job to use “strategy(you call it cheat)” to beat the content.
They did that with the mobs in the Molten Weapons Facility. Sure you can stand in the corner for the first boss and stack on top of the last boss to be immune to the mechanics, but you have to deal with all the mobs through the dungeon. I didn’t hear outrage over having to actually play the content instead of skipping it nor did the sky fall or the game immediately fail when players couldn’t just run past every mob in the dungeon. It did take people longer to get their shinies though.
Most of the mobs were veterans who have a reasonable amount of hp,unlike every other dungeon which has over 9000 silver mobs that have hp bars comparable to champions and drop crap loot.

That’s amusing because many Rangers would argue that Warriors have superior ranged skills with their Rifle.
That healing per second is assuming you are using your heal every time it is off cooldown. This is not the case.
Additionally, let’s look at warrior heals … heal / (cast + cooldown)
- 272 hps : Healing Surge w/ 3 Adrenaline: 8,440 / 31 = 272 … and fill adrenaline
- 221 hps : Healing Surge w/ 2 Adrenaline: 6,840 / 31 = 221 … and fill adrenaline
- 214 hps : Mending: 5,560 / 26 = 214 … and remove conditions
- 192 hps : Healing Signet w/ Trait: 3,320 / 17.25 = 192 … and 200 hps passive
- 190 hps : Healing Surge w/ 1 Adrenaline: 5,880 / 31 = 190 … and fill adrenaline
- 169 hps : Healing Surge w/ 0 Adrenaline: 5,240 / 31 = 169 … and fill adrenaline
- 156 hps : Healing Signet w/o Trait: 3,320 / 21.25 = 156 … and 200 hps passive
As you can see, Healing Signet with a single 10 point trait is a very good heal without its passive, beating out Healing Surge unless it is used with 2+ pips of adrenaline.
Do the math, then talk :-)

They had to stupidify it so they could lower their balance team to two devs who only play warriors.
Btw it took them years to come up with templates in gw1 should take them about the same this time,since no lessons were learned in the last game.

QQ i have the most hp and armor in the game and now i want passive heals of a guardian.
Look it up its on par(and better) with every other passive out there-
Ele soothing mist-80hp/s
Guard virtue of resolve 84hp/s
Regeneration 130hp/s
OH noes i have the hp regen of an ele with perma regeneration,the warrior must be the weakest PvE class ever.
Whoever is doing balance doesnt even play the elementalist.
Short answer-there is none,esp for glass eles.
As a gc mist form was my primary tool for uninterrupted heals -the only other we have would be armor of earth(pointless for gc’s btw +33% of no h kitten till no hp) with its abysmal cooldown,because we are eles and we cant have nice things.
Cant have the prof with the least hp and armor and crappy damage have mobility now,can we?
They’d have to change the title to something else from Guardians & Warriors 2.
Playing an overnerfed prof is not fun for me,not one bit fun (i’m a PvE player with my ele)
Played the ele since the beta and ive been cringing every time i see the new patch notes come out.
Started an warrior alt,has 105% crit chance at lvl 22-i use rush (ability that has the same functionality of RotL,but has yet to get any kind of nerf btw) and then hit hundred blades and 3 closest enemies die.
