The fact that that Skyhammer got taken out of Team Queue is proof that ArenaNet knows how dumb it is. It’s not up to opinion.
The only reason Skyhammer is still in Solo Queue is because ArenaNet is trolling solo players. No seriously, that is the only explanation that I can think of. Nothing else comes to mind.
I actually don’t mind Skyhammer, it’s a fun map for trolling and offers something different….but it needs to be hotjoin-only.
It has NO PLACE in tournaments, and again, it’s not me saying this, it’s ArenaNet who already admitted this when they took it out of Team Queue.
That is all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if “All is vain” was found scribbled on one of the rocks/walls in one of the PvP maps in a future patch :P
I find this funny but I must be reading it wrong cause I don’t really see the genius of the poetry behind it may be due to the fact im dyslexic as hell and reading it wrong lol.
There’s too many genius things to list about this. One could probably give entire seminars trying to explain the various aspects and interpretations of this masterpiece.
Is tornado an actual useful elite? I feel like a big obnoxious dusty target. I had considered the fire sword for the same reason though. Damage bonus in addition to the fire storm it provides but if Tornado is a better option I’ll gladly take it.
…But every Elementalist I’ve ever seen has failed miserably with it.
You don’t actually go into the fight with tornado, you sit far away and hit lava font + meteor > tornado and just whirl around on the spot for the huge stat buffs (crazy meteor damage). Stability basically means nobody can stop you even if they notice you.
Zerker staff builds = you cannot allow yourself to be attacked, preferably not even noticed, or you will have a guaranteed death against literally ANY build out there 1v1. Any ranged autoattack is enough to kill a staff ele.
Thing that should be changed (in my opinion):
- We got based almost lowest stats (buff AP)
- Attument changes
- Change Attument cd to 10s
- Change Atumment cd by trait points (example 30 earth 30%-? cooldown reduce on earth attument)
*I beg u Anet. Stop buffing brainless/OP builds (passives, ai) like PU/Phantasm mesmer
*Lower condition dmg still its too high for our AP.
Attunement CD’s need to come down to 5 seconds if we really want a class that actually has a core mechanic on-par with what all theo ther classes have. 3 seconds with 30 Arcana, and something to stop attunement boons from stacking when switching is spammed.
Ele abilities have long cooldowns so there is no excuse to tack-on further long cooldowns, it just breaks the flow of combat.
I mean look at Engineers, they can switch kits with 1 sec CD and all kit abilities have VERY short cooldowns (max 20 secs). They can basically do everything that Ele’s can do in terms of being extremely versatile with offense & defense, and they have zero downsides. Switching kits also gives them perma-swiftness and 50% vigor uptime with ADEPT traits.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Thats why we get nerfed, so eles stop using S/X and go for staff tornado glass so EVERYONE has an easier time eating us.
Fixed
(edited by Wintel.4873)
The penalties were already increased, it accomplished nothing. All it resulted in was genuine players getting randomly banned for 72 hours after a single disconnect. 4v5 and 3v5 matches continue to happen at the same rate as before.
Increasing the penalties further will…you guessed it, continue to accomplish nothing.
The root cause is the queuing/match system that allows rounds to begin despite knowing there are missing players. Fix the root cause, not the symptoms.
AFK’s/leavers/disconnects are part of EVERY online game, GW2 is no different.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
The new elementalist heal is also crap…the cooldown is way too long and the healing is not enough for the 25 second cooldown. You have to get in the middle of the teamfight and hit 5 targets to even get on par with the other active eles heals. You may say, well traits affect arcane skills (the new heal)….too bad we can’t afford to take reduced cd on arcane traits because you moved elemental attunement up a tier so now we have to put 20 in arcane.
It’s very much a PvE heal, ideal for for dungeons and world events. Another blast finisher to maintain might-stacking and hitting 5+ targets is fairly easy.
In PvP we all know what happens when an Ele finds themselves in the center of a heated fight :P
It’s always had a delay for me : /
There’s plenty of Ele builds that “work”, in the sense that they’re the best we have. In any case you’ll need to play your selected build for at least ~300 hours and break all your fingers in order to stand a chance against average players of other classes.
S/D fresh air: 0/30/0/10/30 or 0/30/0/20/20
D/D damage: 0/20/0/20/30
D/D rock solid: 0/0/20/20/30
Staff balanced: 20/10/0/20/20
Staff zerker: 30/20/0/10/10
For Diamond Skin builds it’s up to you, for me it’s just way too situational and tends to result in very awkward builds.
Good luck.
Yup, because unsupported LH build basically gets 1-shotted. And I mean literally 1-shotted. Being in melee range with 10-12k hp really isn’t something that’s very…safe, unless you’re very good :P
Buffs are sure to come, ANet can’t leave the class like this for too long…we just don’t know when
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Well, he was correct about the positioning…
Doesn’t matter when classes have pull or fear abilities. When fighting on A or C point (or skyhammer room) you can basically get pulled/feared into glass or off the edge no matter how careful you are about positioning.
I can be on my engineer, notice an enemy bunker doing fairly well to hold the point, and while he’s busy fighting I simply have to pull out toolkit and magnet him into broken glass. 9/10 times it results in a kill unless he gets lucky with a dodge/block.
Skyhammer favors some classes/builds FAR more than others and that is dumb, the map should never have such a huge impact on how well your class/build performs.
Borrowing someone else’s suggestion, there needs to be a second level under the map on which your character “falls” and has to spend time running around and getting back up.
Pulling/knocking people off the map should only mean temporarily removing them from the fight (making them run back), NOT outright killing them and getting instantly awarded for it with extra points.
Until such a thing is implemented, Skyhammer needs to be removed from both Solo Queue and made hotjoin-only. I would be happy to play Skyhammer in hotjoin just to troll people with CC builds, but please not in TPvP where I actually care about winning.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
fire skills need a huge buff, but the others are mostly fine
I dunno, Flamewall isn’t too bad because it’s a fire field on which you can blast for might. Fire Shield also allows for more might stacking.
Can’t ask for much more than that considering focus is meant to be more defensive : /
Engineer is simply an Elementalist with infinite conjure weapon abilities (or attunements with no cooldowns).
So basically both classes are designed to be very versatile, but Engineer feels approximately 10x more smoother and easier to play in every aspect of the game.
while you’re at it tone down the practice classes. the engineer npc kills me every time GOD kitten IT
o_O
You may want to seek help :S
Yeah probably. Personally I run 10 30 0 20 20
Where’d you get those 10 extra trait points from :P
I main mesmer.. the only problem I have with the class is it rewards mediocrity.
Right now phantasm mesmer is so strong completely awful players can run it to great success, Same thing with minionmancer.
Why’s this bad for the class in general? Mesmer is now viewed as a super low skill class if the whole playstyle revolves on ai spam and blinking off point to ether heal up. Even if you run a high skill required variant like full glkittenter people still look down on you as AI spam master.
Why don’t I run it? Self respect, oh and my team can’t run a phantasm mesmer.
I agree with this. Sadly it’s what a LOT of mesmers are running just because it’s so “safe” and effective to hide/blink hide behind cover while sending in armies of clones to do the job.
Sometimes I’m nearly dead and waiting for my healing cooldown to come up while I wait in cover, only to have a random clone/minion/pet to NAVIGATE it’s way to me while the actual enemy is nowhere to be seen. Like…seriously??
Why the hell is an AI npc tracking me down when I’m behind cover and the enemy is out of line of sight? It’s just so stupid.

Pretty bunker while dishing out good damage
The only thing “bunker” about that build is the soldiers amulet, Soothing Wave’s heal is pathetic and you might as well grab Vital Striking and take Pyromancer’s Alacrity for shorter Fire cooldowns. Increases survivability slightly too with faster Burning Retreat.
The only way Ele can even remotely be considered bunker is with atleast 20 points in water, at least 20 arcana, or 30 in Earth for Diamond Skin.
Besides that the level of “bunkerness” simply boils down to amulet and runes, our traits are extremely inflexible
(edited by Wintel.4873)
but it requires skill, experience and positioning…
LOL
(edited by Wintel.4873)
I’ll try to get some of these points added to the stickied Guide at the top of the sPvP forum.
Thanks guys!
Is this kind of stuff mentioned in the game? I feel that’s where it’s best explained, the overwhelming majority of the player community doesn’t visit forums.
But it really isn’t that bad. I play fresh air ele in tpvp and I win most of my fights and get a lot of messages like “U’re really good man” “GG to the ele” “Wow I’ve never been beaten by an ele before” “whats ur build” “most dmg i’ve ever seen”
And the fact you’re getting messages like that don’t give you any obvious-as-hell hints that something might be up with the class?
Ele isn’t a class like necro where u can just spam ur auto attack and win a fight.
Fresh air ele is very very high risk vs very very high reward. Learn how to play ele (and I dont just mean how to “burst” combo, I mean how to rotate on the maps, which fights to engage and which to avoid) and you will see that it’s not that bad.
I don’t think you know what high risk vs high reward means. Fresh Air has literally NO sustain, it’s nice to spike-burst people to low health but almost impossible to finish them off (especially bunker/balanced builds). Fresh Air basically gets 1-shotted by other glass builds, especially Thief/Mesmer.
Yes, on a completely stationary (AFK) target it is possible to do the highest burst damage in the game with D.Tooth + Phoenix + L.Flash + L.Strike + Arcane Wave/Blast. Cool story.
But try to land all that on someone who isn’t dense, it’s extremely predictable what the Ele will try to do with their opener and your damage goes out the window with 1 dodge/block/invuln ability. You just blew everything, what do you have now? Nothing. RTL in the opposite direction and wait for cooldowns while the enemy team caps (and laughs).
Almost every other class has access to damage-builds that can do very high damage, the difference is that they are vastly easier to play AND have vastly better survivability.
Meanwhile Ele has access to a 1-trick-pony burst build that relies heavily your enemies being terrible.
High risk, very little reward. Or as a wise man’s signature said, “Twice the work to be half as good”.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Eles are very strong. Very high AOE, mobility, survival..
AoE I can understand (when hotjoin newbies stand in Lava Font/Meteors)….but “very high mobility and survival?”
Either you don’t know what those words mean, or you are simply trolling…most likely trolling.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Staff has quite a bit of control and look how useful that is.
just spec 10/0/0/0/0 and go die in the middle of the enemy team … you will do more dps than you could ever do alive in PvP ^^
finally I’ve found a new viable specc
Lava Tomb spec is as follows:
30/20/0/10/10, staff, zerk amulet, scholar runes. Lightning Flash into the middle of max enemies, blow Armor Of Earth + Arcane Shield to avoid all interrupts > Lava Font > Meteor Shower > another Lava Font > accept your death > Lava Tomb > hilarious AoE for anyone who was stupid enough to stand near you
Wait…I think I may be onto an actual proper build o_O
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Lower all attunement cooldowns to 3 seconds baseline (0 seconds with 30 Arcana), make Elemental Attunement a base mechanic, put in something that stops repeat might stacking when going into Fire. Done and done.
Yeah, these buffs seem extreme but that’s what is required thanks to the power creep that’s happened with the 7 other classes. This is where we are.
Currently we have a class with the lowest armor & health, over 50% of their weapon abilities are complete garbage, slow telegraphed attacks, long cooldowns, mediocre mobility, ridiculous skill requirement (it’s like playing a piano)…….at least give that class access to constant boon uptime and ALL their abilities on demand?
Whenever I get bored of other classes and try my hand at TPvP with Ele, I feel like I’m playing a turtle that’s made out of tissues who spends most of their time deciding when to use Vapor Form during during downed state.
I’m not particularly good at PvP (only rank 30), but a well-designed shouldn’t NEED the player to be a freaking genius to be at least somewhat effective and not feel like the weakest link in your team.
Not asking Ele’s to be brought down to Thief/Ranger level in terms of newbie-friendly class that can succeed with 2-3 buttons, but come on…
(edited by Wintel.4873)
And condi mesmers, who rely on staff clones to apply conditions for the most part (if you don’t know, these do roughly 0 damage per hit at level 80) and have only a small amount of direct damage burst.
Hmm ok.
Rarely come across condi mesmers, most run that cheesy shatter build or w/e it’s called that lets them send in ARMIES of clones while they sit behind cover -_-
I don’t see how condi Engi loses to DS. They always run rabid gear (+condi damage, precision, toughness) and ALL their condi appliers have direct damage which frequently crits for around ~400-600 damage, e.g. grenades or pistol. The ele should drop below 90% after the very first round of grenades.
That pretty much leaves condi necro (carrion) as the only build that truly gets hard-countered by DS.
Scepter is built entirely around spike damage. Air attune + Lightning 2 is where the bulk of on-demand damage comes from, combined with Fresh Air it’s the closest to what one could call “sustained dps”.
You’ll either be hitting like a truck or doing zero damage depending on how terrible the enemy is and how well you position yourself & your attacks.
Dragon’s Tooth & Phoenix are often used as blast finishers for might-stacking on fire field, combined with Evasive Arcana dodge (earth) + Arcane Wave you can build a lot of might quickly. Hitting enemies is a bonus.
If you’re having too much trouble with scepter then I highly recommend switching to staff, it actually has a decent nuke and the highest AoE damage in the game…it just comes at the cost of auto-losing all 1v1’s and dying the moment the enemy notices you.
Ele is currently balanced around being a vastly better player than your opponent, it’s the only way you’re going to win. Good luck.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
I’m not going to tell anyone what to do. But I’ll just relate the experience I just had as I too just had 3 ele’s on a team, first time I can ever recall that happening.
Not only did we lose.. we got demolished. And here’s a hint as to how bad it was. We were on Skyhammer, and for some reason nobody on either team went for the hammer, so I did. I must have gotten at least 10 shots off before anyone from the other team challenged me.. and in that time, the rest of my team didn’t capture a single point.
It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here, and I don’t blame the ele’s. They had low ranks and were clearly not regular PvPers, they came in because Arenanet is trying to entice people into PvP. But they didn’t know that ele’s are underpowered in PvP now, and they didn’t know what to do on the map.
The bottom line is the same as always: the basic mechanisms (matchmaking, tutorials, education, limits on who can join the queues) need fixing before drawing new people in (many of whom will just feel discouraged and leave.)
The bottom line is that if they were playing rangers, thieves, warriors, mesmers or guardians you would’ve stood a FAR higher chance of winning. You may actually have won.
All those classes have at least one braindead-easy build that even a newbie can operate somewhat effectively, especially thief/ranger who don’t need more than 2-3 buttons.
Ele’s are absolutely godawful for Skyhammer because they have 1 source of stability (90 sec cooldown) and 1 knockback (40 sec cooldown)….that’s it. The capture points are small, the map is small, it’s so easy to blow them up or knock them off. Even more kill fodder than usual.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
They’re not exactly shining in PvE or WvW, but at least they have a solid role in those categories.
As long as you don’t plan to take TPvP seriously, go ahead and keep leveling.
<snip>
Playing Ele has to be some kind of legalized griefing :P
(edited by Wintel.4873)
1) This should NOT be happening
2) Why the hell are so many people playing a class that is 100% useless in TPvP?
3) This should NOT be happening
We lost 500-150. Every time Ele joined the fight I sighed because they are just free rally bait for the people I had managed to down. One or two of them literally died INSTANTLY died instantly to an enemy Thief. I mean INSTANTLY. I didn’t even know that was possible.
Ele players, please do everyone a favor and play a class that is actually made for TPvP. You are just rally bait.
ArenaNet please make a note when someone creates an Ele along the lines of “PvE class only” or something. It would be a big help to everyone.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
This is what I’ve been trying to tell people, I’m also someone who made the jump to Engineer a while ago – not just to test an alt, the class seemed to be genuinely interesting to play (hence I leveled it to 80 and spend lots of time on it).
The first thing I noticed right off the bat was that rifle’s AUTOATTACK seemed to do equal sustained damage than anything Ele, because Ele abilties require the target to stay 100% still for max dps. Sure on a still target Ele dps goes through the roof, but when targets start moving (especially in PvP lol) abilities like Dragon’s Tooth, Lava Font, etc become literally useless.
if they supported GvG’s 6 months ago when the scene exploded, instead of kittening on it, this game would have been an esport by now.
You mean zerg v zerg? Right….
You clearly have no idea what a GvG is
It’s funny because I’ve heard some non-GW2 players say “hmm, don’t see any mention of Guilds vs Guilds…isn’t the game called Guild Wars?”.
The fact that GW2 is an MMO automatically killed any chances it had to become E-sports worthy. I have no idea why anyone thought it had potential with 8 different classes, 40 different trait-lines, countless skills, etc. It is literally impossible to balance such a thing, you’re always going to have at a list of different things that are crazy overpowered or underpowered.
WoW is the only MMO that reached E-Sports and ONLY because Blizzard literally forced it in with their endless reserves of money and 12 million+ subscriber base (at the time). Despite that it lasted less than a year in pro-gaming tournaments.
You’re not going to beat a half-decent necro or engineer as any build.
0/30/0/10/30 is still a functional fresh air build, you just take Vital Striking (+10% damage) now that Cleansing Wave is gone. Or if you’re running triple cantrips you can take Cantrip Mastery since it’s an adept trait. Just keep in mind that you can literally die 0.5 seconds flat if you’re not careful (or get caught in any CC with cantrips down), nothing has changed in terms of survivability.
In the current state Ele is at a disadvantage against very other profession, the only way to win is to massively out-play/out-skill your enemy by a HUGE margin. I stopped trying to play Ele seriously a few weeks ago, the latest changes only hurt the class overall…now I just run as zerker staff, it can do hilarious AoE damage (at the cost of guaranteed losing all 1v1’s, but that’s not much of a change).
So Engineers, with their vast amount of stuns
wat
I feel they should just ditch the attunement cooldowns altogether and call it a day.
The more I think about it, the more I feel that ArenaNet has balanced our health, survivability, utility, damage, etc around having access to ALL our abilities ALL the time. That’s the only thing that makes sense given the current state. The abilities on each bar are either horribly clumsy/telegraphed, or hard to land, or have stupidly long cooldowns, or a combination of all those.
Elementalist was the first class I started in GW2 and it took me all of 1 hour to realize that I’d be spending 99% of my time in Fire attumenent because the other 3 bars (15 abilities) were just pointless fluff. They didn’t help me kill mobs any faster and switching to them screwed me out of my primary damage source for 16 agonizing seconds. It felt HORRIBLY clunky and that feeling hasn’t changed in the slightest even after 200+ hours. Taking that mechanic into PvP was the equivalent of shooting myself in the foot at the start of a race.
Then I looked at Engineers who can also switch between multiple ability bars (kits) with a 1 SECOND cooldown, giving them access to many USEFUL abilities with short cooldowns with no downsides…and a 100% spammable toolbelt to boot. I felt I was always ready for any situation! Dealing damage whenever I wanted, going defensive whenever I needed, switching between the two at will.
As much as I hate comparing different classes, Elementalist basically plays & feels like a VASTLY inferior Engineer. These days the only reason I play Ele in SPvP is because staff can do hilarious things in hotjoins…that’s it.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Didn’t you hear, 0/0/30/10/30 with D/D is the new fad. According to these forums, an Ele with Diamond Skin can steamroll everything in the game while being AFK.
Thanks for bumping this guys.
Remember the last we heard about 4v5’s and leavers/AFK’s was this, 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, we’re working on that as well. We’ve got plans to prevent it from happening before a match starts, and what to do if it happens in the middle of a match. This will probably be covered in the matchmaking blog and discussion unless we feel it merits its own discussion.
Still waiting for further news on how the most rampant issue in TPvP is going to be fixed.
ArenaNet has said to report them under spamming/botting.
However reporting does nothing, there are many players who have on-purpose AFK’d for months and despite countless reports nothing has happened.
It’s the system’s fault for allowing such matches to begin.
There is no easy solution for when someone AFK’s/disconects during a match, the teams are bound to become uneven and nothing can be done about that.
Look at LoL/DotA, Starcraft and any multiplayer FPS….the match always starts fair n’ square, but if anyone goes AFK/disconnects during the match that team is screwed and nothing can be done about it. I don’t think any of those games convert the match into an unranked one when that happens.
But what gets me is when the system STARTS a match knowing full-well that someone is AFK/disconnected. The round shouldn’t even begin in that case.
In my opinion there is only one way to solve this issue. If at any time during the match the teams become uneven, the match becomes unranked automatically. Thoughts?
At that point everyone who is after rank will go AFK.
Might as well just end the match there and send all the players back to queue to avoid wasting their time.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
I main a necromancer and It’s probably the most difficult class to play successfully imo (of course) and that’s because it’s the least mobile. Warriors have always (even in it’s terribad days) have had great mobility. This allows them to engage and disengage, just like thieves mesmers and engis.. and ele’s.. and guardians lol.
Mobility doesn’t matter when gameplay revolves around fighting on points. Yeah sure you’re not going to have the roaming capability of a thief or warrior to zip around between points, but you are compensated by the ability to apply massive condi pressure, have decent survivability (extra health bar) and CC with fear. It’s enough to ensure Necros have have a role in the most competetive situations.
You should try playing an Elementalist and then re-assesing what takes the most skill. Absolutely no role whatsoever that isn’t performed vastly better by another class, 15+ awkward cooldowns to keep track of, can get randomly 2-shotted by any damage build if not careful, only 1-2 viable builds, no decent CC, average mobility, pathetic bunker potential, all survivability revolving around dodges & blowing big cooldowns. Try that.
If people don’t feel like playing a 4v5 or 3v5 (perfectly understandable), set GW2 to Windowed Mode. That way you can do something else, come back to GW2 window, push some buttons and avoid getting tagged for AFK.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
The saddest part is that no matter how “severe” they make the punishments, 4v5’s will still keep happening and genuine players get penalized.
But I guess the GW2 community was begging so hard more severe punishments…what a bunch of short-sighted dolts, not realizing that 4v5’s will keep happening as long as the SYSTEM allows them to happen. Severe punishments will change nothing.
WoW implemented a readycheck system 4 years ago, those who are AFK/disconnected simply get kicked out (no punishments) and the system returns everyone back to the queue. Combined with a group votekick system, it’s still working perfectly fine after all these years.
(edited by Wintel.4873)
Wait wait wait, first off you’re trying to say ele is actually useful in pvp… Then you top it off by saying you’re using A staff?!? Please save yourself headache and rage and retool as anything else aside from an ele. They have no place in pvp besides a glass s/d burst build. Or a zero dmg d/d bunker bunker build for caps.
The thing is, staff ele has something special to offer that nobody else can – constantly high crazy AoE damage & pressure.
Fireball + Lava Font + Meteors can basically wipe entire teams. It can also put ungodly pressure on downed enemies – see someone go down and a teammate trying to res them? Static Field > Lava Font that area, spam Fireball and there’s a good chance they’ll give up trying to res (unless they’re bunkers). But all this comes at the cost of being completely useless in 1v1 or whenever the enemy notices/attacks you.
Meanwhile as S/D fresh air you are basically an inferior version of what other classes can do when they go full zerker/glass (especially thief & mesmer). In group fights the enemy team only to focus you for maybe 1 second to kill you. Whenever you’re below 60-70% health you’re at risk of getting one-shotted. I’ve “accidentally” killed Fresh Air ele’s on my Engineer without even realizing how I killed them, one moment they’re at full health and the next moment they’re in Vapor Form (downed ability LOL). Fresh Air has nice burst, but catch them in a single immobilize/stun/fear with cantrips on cooldown and it’s GG for them.
D/D bunker is even more useless, you are like one-third as effective as a Guardian/Warrior/Engi and even those classes can put out pressure or CC with their bunker builds, offering better team support.

As someone who never really pvped before, I’m happy with the new rewards. In two days I now have a new 20 slot bag due to glory. However now I’m sad to find out they will be removing glory. Why?! Now there really is no reward. When they remove it, is there? And what am I going to do with these 36 glory boosters I have?
Welcome to the PvP side! Don’t worry, the rewards are there to stay and will only get better over time. It doesn’t matter what happens to glory, you will still be able to obtain the rewards through PvP one way or another.
But for now ArenaNet have suggested using all your glory boosters as much as possible so I recommend you do exactly that, keep raking in as much as possible. I’ve personally got over 100 boosters and keep the buff permanently activated during PvP lol.
Glory won’t be removed anytime soon, so don’ worry. they will be replacing the glory system with a new system sometime well into next year where there should be Alot more rewards.
Didn’t they say it would just be gold replacing glory? They want PvE & PvP to be unified in terms of rewards and gear, with maybe just the absolute best stuff (e.g. legendaries & ranks) that is exclusive to either. So it would make sense to completely ditch glory, increase the gold reward for doing PvP and go from there.
